This paper presents a series of experimental photoacoustic spectra of porous silicon layers on the crystalline silicon and their numerical analysis performed in the proposed two layer model. The goal of the analysis was to calculate the optical absorption coefficient spectra of porous silicon from the photoacoustic spectra of the porous silicon layer on the silicon backing. The character of the observed optical absorption band associated with the porous silicon was revealed.  相似文献

In this article, we have proposed an image segmentation algorithm FABC, which is a kind of unsupervised classification (clustering), where we combine the concept of artificial bee colony optimization (ABC) and the popular fuzzy C means (FCM) and named it as fuzzy-based ABC or FABC. In FABC, we have used fuzzy membership function to search for optimum cluster centers using ABC. FABC is more efficient than other optimization techniques such as genetic algorithm (GA), particle swarm optimization (PSO) and expectation maximization (EM) algorithms. FABC overcomes the drawbacks of FCM as it does not depend on the choice of initial cluster centers and it performs better in terms of convergency, time complexity, robustness and segmentation accuracy. FABC becomes more efficient as it takes the advantage of the randomized characteristics of ABC for the initialization of the cluster centers. The experiments with FABC, GA, PSO and EM have been done over various grayscale images including some synthetic, medical and texture images, and segmentation of such images is very difficult due to the low contrast, noise and other imaging ambiguities. The efficiency of FABC is proven by both quantitative and qualitative measures.  相似文献

A novel image encryption framework is proposed in this article. A new chaotic map and a pseudorandom bit generator are proposed. Apart from this, a novel image encryption system is designed based on the proposed map and the proposed pseudorandom bit generator. These three are the major contributions of this work that makes a complete cryptosystem. The proposed new chaotic map is proposed which will be known as the ‘RCM map’ and its chaotic property is studied based on Devaney’s theory. The proposed pseudorandom bit generator is tested using the NIST test suite. The proposed method is simple to implement and does not involve any highly complex operations. Moreover, the proposed method is completely lossless, and therefore cent percent of data can be recovered from the encrypted image. The decryption process is also simple to implement i.e. just reverse of the encryption procedure. A scrambling algorithm is also proposed to further enhance the security of the overall system. The simulation, detailed analysis, and comparative studies of the proposed overall image encryption framework will help to understand the strengths and weaknesses of it. The experimental results are very promising and show the prospects of chaos theory and its usage in the field of data security.

In recent years, advances in computer technology and a significant increase in the accuracy of medical imaging have made it possible to develop systems that can assist the clinician in diagnosis, planning, and treatment. This paper deals with an area that is generally referred to as computer-assisted surgery, image-directed surgery, or image-guided surgery. We report the research, development, and clinical validation performed since January 1996 in the European Applications in Surgical Interventions (EASI) project, which is funded by the European Commission in their “4th Framework Telematics Applications for Health” program. The goal of this project is the improvement of the effectiveness and quality of image-guided neurosurgery of the brain and image-guided vascular surgery of abdominal aortic aneurysms, while at the same time reducing patient risks and overall cost. We have developed advanced prototype systems for preoperative surgical planning and intraoperative surgical navigation, and we have extensively clinically validated these systems. Properties of the Haar transform in image processing and pattern recognition are investigated. A lower bound of the performance of the Haar transform relative to that of the Karhunen-Loeve transform for first-order Markov processes is found. It is proved that the Haar transform is inferior to the Walsh-Hadamard transform for such processes. A unique condition is presented which, if satisfied by the elements of a matrix, will make the Karhunen-Loeve transform of the matrix and the Haar transform equivalent. Some fast algorithms are given to realize the diagonal elements of a Haar transformed matrix.  相似文献

β‐cyclodextrin grafted hydroxyethylcellulose (βCD‐g‐HEC) hydrogel films were prepared for the controlled release of poorly soluble model drug (ketoconazole) using citric acid as crosslinking agent. The active βCD and carboxyl content of the hydrogel films were determined by phenolphthalein assay and acid–base titration. The films were characterized by solid state 13C NMR, ATR–FTIR, thermogravimetric analysis, and differential scanning calorimetric, and analyzed for tensile strength, swelling ratio, drug loading, release, hemocompatibility, in vitro cytotoxicity, and implantation test. An increase in the concentration of βCD in feed increased the active βCD content of the hydrogel films but reduced their extent of interpolymer crosslinking. The βCD‐g‐HEC hydrogel films with high active βCD content showed maximum drug loading whereas those with high crosslinking density were capable of controlling the drug release for long duration. Hemolysis assay and in vitro cytotoxicity study revealed the biocompatible nature of the hydrogel films whereas implantation test indicated their minimal inflammatory effect. From the overall results, βCD‐g‐HEC hydrogel films were found to be better alternative to the previously reported βCD‐HPMC and βCD‐CMC hydrogel films for enhanced loading and long‐term release, respectively, of the poorly soluble drugs. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
