Global warming and the problem of successfully incorporating environmental safeguards are promoting the need for a more power‐efficient motor. Therefore, as a driving source, permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) with concentrated winding are widely used in a variety of fields. However, a PMSM with a concentrated winding generates more vibration than one with a distributed winding because of the radial electromagnetic force. This paper describes the effect of a new skewed rotor on the characteristics of a concentrated winding PMSM. We investigated this effect by three‐dimensional finite element method (3D FEM) analysis and measurement. We also demonstrate that the proposed rotor is effective in reducing the radial electromagnetic force without decreasing motor efficiency. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Switching of the luminescence properties of molecular materials in response to mechanical stimulation is of fundamental interest and also has a range of potential applications. Herein, a water‐soluble mechanochromic luminescent pyrene derivative having two hydrophilic dendrons is reported. This pyrene derivative is the first example of a mechanochromic luminescent organic compound that responds to relative humidity. Mechanical stimulation (grinding) of this pyrene derivative in the solid state results in a change of the photoluminescence from yellow to green. Subsequent exposure to water vapor induces recovery of the initial yellow photoluminescence. The color change is reversible through at least ten cycles. It is also demonstrated that this compound can be applied as a mechano‐sensing material in frictional wear testing for grease, owing to its immiscibility in non‐polar solvents and its non‐crystalline behavior. Transmission electron microscope and atomic force microscope observations of samples prepared from dilute aqueous solutions of the pyrene derivative on suitable substrates, together with dynamic light scattering measurements for the compound in aqueous solution, indicate that this amphiphilic dumbbell‐shaped molecule forms micelles in water.  相似文献

Gas adsorption rates of H2, CO2, and H2‐CO2 gas mixture (H2/CO2 = 3.4) with tetra‐n‐butyl ammonium salt (bromide, chloride, and fluoride) semi‐clathrate hydrate particles were measured at 269 K to assess their properties for gas separation. Equilibrium gas occupancies in the S‐cages of the particles were in order of (high to low) for hexagonal structure‐I, tetragonal structure‐I, and superlattice of cubic structure‐I structures with the maximum fractional occupancy by CO2 being about 40%. The CO2 diffusion rate depended on the anion size of the salt, which is attributed to distortion of the S‐cage that is close to the molecular size of CO2. Simulations of semi‐clathrate hydrate particles with theory showed that H2/CO2 selectivities could be as high as 36 (3.0 mol% TBAF) and that selectivities for an ideal membrane (3.3 mol% TBAF) could be >100 (269 K, 0.3–4.5 MPa). Aberrant expression of microRNAs (miRNAs) is involved in the development and progression of various types of cancers. In this study, we investigated the role of miR-331-3p in cell proliferation and the expression of keratinocyte differentiation markers of uterine cervical cancer cells. Moreover, we evaluated whether neuropilin 2 (NRP2) are putative target molecules that regulate the human papillomavirus (HPV) related oncoproteins E6 and E7. Cell proliferation in the human cervical cancer cell lines SKG-II, HCS-2, and HeLa was assessed using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-5-(3-carboxymethoxyphenyl)-2-(4-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium, inner salt (MTS) assay. Cellular apoptosis was measured using the TdT-mediated dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) and Annexin V assays. Quantitative RT-PCR was used to measure the messenger RNA (mRNA) expression of the NRP2, E6, E7, p63, and involucrin (IVL) genes. A functional assay for cell growth was performed using cell cycle analyses. Overexpression of miR-331-3p inhibited cell proliferation, and induced G2/M phase arrest and apoptosis in SKG-II, HCS-2 and HeLa cells. The luciferase reporter assay of the NRP2 3′-untranslated region revealed the direct regulation of NRP2 by miR-331-3p. Gene expression analyses using quantitative RT-PCR in SKG-II, HCS-2, and HeLa cells overexpressing miR-331-3p or suppressing NRP2 revealed down-regulation of E6, E7, and p63 mRNA and up-regulation of IVL mRNA. Moreover, miR-331-3p overexpression was suppressed NRP2 expression in protein level. We showed that miR-331-3p and NRP2 were key effectors of cell proliferation by regulating the cell cycle, apoptosis. NRP-2 also regulates the expression of E6/E7 and keratinocyte differentiation markers. Our findings suggest that miR-331-3p has an important role in regulating cervical cancer cell proliferation, and that miR-331-3p may contribute to keratinocyte differentiation through NRP2 suppression. miR-331-3p and NRP2 may contribute to anti-cancer effects.  相似文献

This work examines the polycondensation of 4-chloropyridine derivatives using an N-(4-tert-butylbenzyl)-4-chloropyridinium (BPymCl) initiator and ion exchange reagents NaBPh4, NaBF4, and TBABF4. The 1H NMR spectra demonstrate that the product quantity is proportional to the total conversion of the monomer and the initiator. The MALDI-TOF MS spectrum shows that the product contains more than 9 monomer units. The polymerization was well-terminated via the addition of dimethylaminopyridine. These results indicate that the polycondensation proceeds in a chain-growth manner. This polycondensation could be a new example of a controlled polymerization with a well-defined end group.  相似文献

The drying characteristics of porous material in fluidized bed were examined theoretically and experimentally. The brick ball was used as the sample and immersed in the fluidized bed. The glass beads were used as the fluidizing particles and the particle diameters were changed. When the pore diameter of sample was relatively large, the fluidizing particles were adhered on the sample surface. In the theoretical analysis, the heat and mass transfers in adhered particle layer were considered. The fluidizing particles were adhered on the sample surface during the earlier period of drying. The sample temperature largely decreased when the mass of adhered particle decreased. The calculated results are in good agreement with experimental data. The diameter of fluidizing particle had a small effect on the drying time. The excess increments in drying gas temperature hardly contributed to shortening the drying time.  相似文献

In this research, five groups of compressed wood specimens were investigated, four made from compressed Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria japonica D. Don) with compression ratios (CR) of 33%, 50%, 67% and 70%, and one without compressing for control purpose. The measurements of moisture-dependent swelling of the specimens were carried out in the R, T and L directions, with typical strain values of 10%, 1.5% and 0.1% respectively corresponding to the CR = 67%. Mechanical property tests of the compressed wood were also undertaken. Material properties obtained cover radial and tangential swelling strain rates, shear moduli in LR, LT and RT planes, Young’s moduli in the L, R, T directions and Poisson ratios in all planes. The Young’s moduli along the longitudinal and radial directions have been increased by over 300% in relation to the CR of 70%.  相似文献

The effects of operational conditions on the drying performance in closed superheated steam drying were examined theoretically and experimentally. The vapor generated from the sample was circulated in the drying chamber. In the theoretical analysis, the replacement of air with vapor in drying chamber and the convective vapor transfer in sample were considered. At the start of drying, the drying chamber was filled with air. As the drying proceeded, the air was replaced with the vapor generated from sample. The calculated results explained the characteristics of experimental data. The pore diameter of sample had little effect on the drying characteristics. During the internal evaporation period, the evaporation occurred in the narrow zone, which moved from the surface to the bottom of sample. The convective vapor transfer in sample had a significant influence on the drying performance. The excess increments in temperature and velocity of drying gas hardly contributed to shortening the drying time.  相似文献

We conducted the welding experiment using three kinds of test piece, actual size, diaphragm and butt joint. Then, we examined the influence on strength, cooling time and carbon equivalent of weld metal by welding conditions on the different test pieces. We calculated an estimate of cooling time and chemical components. Consequently, we concluded that the strength of weld metal can be estimated by heat input, interpass temperature, carbon equivarent of welding wire and shape of test piece.  相似文献

Colloid-facilitated transport enhances migration of strongly sorbing compounds (e.g., radionuclides, phosphorus, heavy metals) in soil and groundwater. Mobilization, transport and deposition of soil colloids are the underlying processes governing colloid-facilitated contaminant transport. Although significant progress has been made in simulating mobilization and transport/deposition of model colloids in different collector systems, it may be inadequate for the prediction of natural colloidal behavior in the subsurface. This study quantifies the leaching of natural volcanic ash soil colloids (NC) as well as the simultaneous transport of applied water dispersible soil colloids (WDC) in aggregated volcanic ash soil columns. Two water-saturated soil columns were irrigated with artificial irrigation water (AIW) at an intensity of 80 mm/hr for 60 hours. Two additional columns were irrigated at the same intensity, but a colloidal suspension of 5 mg/L was applied after 20 hours for a period of 20 hours. Effluent colloid concentrations were measured in each experiment. HYDRUS-1D was used for the simulation and estimation of colloid transport parameters. The results clearly showed different kinetics for applied colloid transport and natural colloid leaching. Transport of applied WDC followed first-order attachment kinetics, while the two-site equilibrium/kinetic model with equal fractions of equilibrium and kinetic sites best described the leaching of NC. Coupling these best model approaches well predicted the simultaneous leaching of natural and applied colloids, hereby providing a useful tool for the design of colloid-based in-situ soil remediation systems.  相似文献
