The vector control of induction motors is widely used. This method needs accurate motor parameter but the stator and rotor resistance vary due to motor temperature variation. If the value of resistance in the controller can be set up accurately at first, there must be a difference between the reference and real value of torque because of drift of the resistance. It is necessary to adapt the resistance value. The indirect field‐oriented control of an induction motor requires the value of rotor resistance only, but the direct field‐oriented control method with rotor flux observer requires the value of not only rotor resistance but also stator resistance in the controller. Consequently, it is necessary to adapt both stator resistance and rotor resistance. A parameter adaptation scheme has previously been proposed for the direct field‐oriented control method with rotor flux observer, but this method cannot be used when the motor is in regenerating operation. In this paper, a new stator and rotor resistance adaptation scheme is proposed, which can be applied when the motor is in regenerating operation. Flash floods leading to complete submergence of rice plants for 10–15 days is one of the major constraints for rice production, mainly in rainfed lowland areas. In India, 30% of the rice growing area (12–14 M ha) is prone to flash flooding with average productivity of only 0.5–0.8 t ha?1. Coastal Odisha is one of the most flood prone areas of India where the paddy crop in the wet season is often devastated by flash floods, forcing farmers either to discontinue paddy cultivation or to revert to traditional varieties with very low yields. The flood tolerant variety, Swarna-Sub1 (SS1), was introduced through cluster demonstrations in some villages of the Bari block of Odisha in 2013. SS1 seeds were provided to 355 farmers in two villages affected by floods twice in 2013. The majority of the farmers cultivated SS1 in 2013 and about 75% of them persisted with the variety in 2014. There has been a steady and significant increase in paddy cultivation and yields per unit area between 2012 and 2014 and a sharp increase in paddy sales during 2013 and 2014. The present study showed that farmers preferred to cultivate low yielding traditional land races owing to their better flood tolerance and the unavailability of flood tolerant high yielding varieties (HYVs). Traditional varieties gave 30–42% higher yields than non-SS1 HYVs when flooding occurred. SS1 on the other hand offered a significant yield advantage of about twice that of traditional varieties, in both flooding and non-flooding years. There is an additional social advantage of SSI in that famers belonging to scheduled castes in flood prone villages, have greater numbers of plots that are exposed to prolonged floods. Thus they benefit proportionately more from the introduction of SS1.  相似文献

The demand for energy of modern society is constantly increasing. The desire for environmental-friendly alternative energy resources with the least dependency on fossil fuels is growing. Solar energy is an important technology for many reasons and is worthy of urgent attention. Indeed, it has experienced rapid growth over the last few years. It is expected to become truly main stream when the breakeven of high performance is achieved and its cost becomes comparable with other energy sources. Various approaches have been proposed to enhance the efficiency of solar cells. Fretting wear or wear by small displacements is defined when two contacting surfaces (first-bodies) are subjected to small amplitude reciprocating motion of micron order. This phenomenon is observed in many mechanical assemblies and it can significantly reduce the contact mechanisms life.This paper reports on the influence of nitriding treatment of the titanium alloy on the fretting tribological behaviour of graphite/Ti-6Al-4 V couple in a dry shaft/bearing contact with thrust. Two contact geometries are investigated: cylinder-in-cylinder and flat/flat. These fretting contacts are subjected to low-amplitude oscillatory movements, with temperature reaching 270 °C.The nitriding treatment for the Ti-6Al-4 V was carried out with a gas mixture N2/H2 at moderate temperature (700 °C) for 12 h. In these conditions, the maximum surface hardness was improved by a factor three.In this study, the mechanism of transfer and wear of graphite against Ti-6Al-4 V nitrided or not, have been studied with a scanning electron microscope, an optical microscope and an interferential microscope.The morphological and profile analysis performed on rubbing surfaces showed various aspects of wear: prints, craters, transfer ... and allowed to explain the location, development and origin of the degradation.The friction couples have showed differences between the tests realised with the shafts with or without nitriding and especially at an elevated temperature.We discuss the experimental results and we suggest several possibilities in order to understand some specific tribological behaviour: impact of the third body, of the abrasion, etc.  相似文献

Three biomasses like Eucalyptus, Azadirachata, and Ficus religiosa were torrefied to investigate the effect of temperature and residence time was investigated on torrefied biomasses for yield, volatile matter, fixed carbon, ash, and Gross calorific value (GCV). Thermogravimetric analysis and Hardgrove grindability index (HGI) of three torrefied samples were studied at optimum conditions of temperature and residence time. According to the results, an optimum temperature was found to be 260°C at 45 min residence time. A maximum GCV of torrefied biomasses of Eucalyptus, Azadirachata, and F. religiosa were found to be 4,301, 3,190, and 3,278 kcal/kg, respectively. According to thermogravimetric analyzer results, the Azadirachata has shown higher weight loss compared to Eucalyptus and F. religiosa during thermogravimetirc study. The weight loss rate for Azadirachata was maximum to nearly 12.8%/min compared to 6.11 and 5.12%/min for Eucalyptus and F. religiosa, respectively. The order of reactivity based on mean reactivity and combustion characterization factor was found to be Azadirachata indica > Eucalyptus > F. religiosa. According to HGI results, Eucalyptus, Azadirachata, and F. religiosa have shown HGI values of 71, 60.7, and 81.7, respectively. The results of this study could be useful for the energy recovery schemes in the country.  相似文献

Deep drawing of sheet metals using Maslennikov’s technique has been analyzed by analytical and finite element simulation approaches. A new friction model based on local contact conditions has been used in the finite element (FE) simulations of the process. Compared to traditional Coulomb friction model, the results of FE simulations with the new friction model show good correlation with analytical calculations. The effects of key process parameters such as rubber ring thickness, ring inner diameter, die hole diameter, and die profile radius on the results have been investigated. The results showed that very deep cups without thinning in the side wall portion can be achieved with this process. Based on the results of FE analysis, it was found that the maximum drawing ratio can be achieved by adopting a combination of process parameters which correspond to points nearest to the fracture limit.  相似文献

This paper deals with the deep drawing of metal cups using the Marform process. Using this technique, higher limiting drawing ratios can be obtained compared with the conventional deep drawing process. The analytical model of the process is presented initially, followed by the finite element simulations using ABAQUS software. A new friction model based on local contact conditions is presented and used in the finite element (FE) simulations of the process. Compared with traditional Coulomb friction model, the results of the FE simulations with the new friction model showed good correlation with experimental results. The results showed that the maximum thinning occurs at the punch profile portion, and by increasing the forming pressure, thinning of the sheet metal propagates from the punch profile portion to the side wall. At low forming pressures, wrinkles appear in the flange, whilst at higher pressures, fracture is the main defect of the Marform process.  相似文献

Europium doped cadmium sulphide (Cd(0.98)Eu(0.2)S) nanostructures were synthesised by chemical co-precipitation method using ethylene glycol (EG) and deionized water (Eu:CdS-1), and isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and deionized water (Eu:CdS-2) as mixed solvents. It has been found that the nanostructure of the europium doped CdS can be controlled by simply varying the mixed solvent system. Powder XRD pattern reveals the formation of hexagonal (wurtzite) and cubic (zinc blende) structure for Eu:CdS-1, and Eu:CdS-2, respectively. The crystallite size of the sample prepared using IPA and deionized water was measured to be 2.64 nm which is much smaller than that of the sample prepared using EG and deionized water as mixed solvent (3.65 nm). Morphology of the materials can also be changed from flower shaped crystals to paddy like structures by varying the mixed solvents. Band gap values of Eu3+ doped CdS nanocrystals synthesized from two different solvents were estimated using UV-reflectance spectra. The size and crystallinity of the samples were confirmed by HRTEM and SAED analysis. A significant change in the PL emission of the CdS nanocrystals was observed for the europium doped CdS which is mainly due to the presence of EU3+ ions which also play a significant role in the energy transfer process. It was also observed that the shift in the emission and efficiency depends on size and shape of the synthesised nanoparticles.  相似文献

Acidovorax avenae is a flagellated, pathogenic bacterium to various plant crops that has also been found in human patients with haematological malignancy, fever, and sepsis; however, the exact mechanism for infection in humans is not known. We hypothesized that the human innate immune system could be responsive to the purified flagellin isolated from A. avenae, named FLA-AA. We observed the secretion of inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin (IL)-6, and IL-8 by treating FLA-AA to human dermal fibroblasts, as well as macrophages. This response was exclusively through TLR5, which was confirmed by using TLR5-overexpression cell line, 293/hTLR5, as well as TLR5-specific inhibitor, TH1020. We also observed the secretion of inflammatory cytokine, IL-1β, by the activation of NLRC4 with FLA-AA. Overall, our results provide a molecular basis for the inflammatory response caused by FLA-AA in cell-based assays.  相似文献

The objective of the present work was to synthesize interpenetrating networks (IPNs) of acrylic acid/polyvinyl alcohol (AA/PVA) by free radical polymerization using N,N-methylenebisacrylamide (MBAAm) and glutaraldehyde as cross-linkers. The IPNs were evaluated for swelling, diffusion coefficient and network parameters by using Flory–Huggins theory, i.e., the average molecular weight between cross-links (M c), polymer volume fraction in swollen state (V 2,s), number of repeating units between cross-links (M r) and cross-linking density (N). It was found that the degree of swelling of AA/PVA interpenetrating network increases greatly within the pH range 5–7 depending on composition. The gel fraction and porosity increased by increasing the concentration of AA or PVA, while by increasing the degree of cross-linking, porosity decreased and gel fraction increased. Selected samples were loaded with chlorpheniramine maleate as a model drug. Drug release was studied in USP, hydrochloric acid buffer solution of pH 1.2 and phosphate buffer solutions of pH 5.5 and 7.5. Drug release data were fitted into various kinetics models, e.g., zero-order, first-order, Higuchi and Peppas models. The results of the kinetics investigation showed that the drug release from IPNs followed non-Fickian diffusion. Fourier transform infrared spectra confirmed the formation of cross-linked IPNs as there was a shifting to lower frequency of 1,713–1,718 cm?1 with reduced intensity, while scanning electron microscopy revealed uniform distribution of drug in IPNs.  相似文献
