The deterministic QS model, introduced in in Costa and Sernadas [J.F. Costa, A. Sernadas, Progress assumption in concurrent systems, Formal Aspects Comput. 7 (1) (1995) 18–36], captures (local) liveness properties, commonly specified in Temporal Logic, and not fully captured by non-deterministic process models. Liveness explains how some processes engage spontaneously in some actions and wait passively for the triggering of other actions by other processes. In this paper, we extend the QS model to describe liveness properties, through the introduction of a new operator deeply influenced by Temporal Logic, and denoting a global liveness requirement. The new operator applied to a process term induces a transactional behaviour until the execution of some specified action. We define the suitable denotational, axiomatic, and operational semantic domains to obtain a trinity of semantics in the sense of Hennessy. We prove that this extended model is a conservative extension of the previous one.  相似文献

Abstract

Eucalyptus grandis wood chips were treated with the white‐rot fungus Ceriporiopsis subvermispora in a 100‐L bioreactor for 15 days. The treatment was characteristic of a selective biodelignification (7.6±0.2% and 0.3±0.2% of lignin and glucan losses, respectively) with concomitant extractive removal (17.7±0.2%). Biotreated samples and non‐inoculated controls were pre‐cooked in alkaline sulfite and post‐refined in a Jokro mill. The biotreated pulps fibrillated more rapidly and contained lower amounts of rejects than the control. To achieve a freeness of 400 mL, the control pulp required 125 min of beating, whereas the biopulp required only 95 min, a reduction of 24%. Unbleached biopulps had better strength properties than control pulps because higher tensile indexes were obtained for the entire range of tear indexes. Bleaching with 8% hydrogen peroxide increased the brightness of these pulps by 17 points. At low peroxide loads, the brightness increase for biopulps was lower than for the control pulps. Still, the bleachability of sboth pulps was similar for peroxide loads higher than 2%. After a two‐stage H2O2‐bleaching sequence, final brightnesses for the control and biopulps were 59.7±0.8% and 60.5±0.4%, respectively. Brightness stability of the bleached control and bio‐CMP pulps to photo and thermal aging were very similar.  相似文献

The electrochemical characteristics of polycrystalline Au in LiClO4 electrolyte solutions containing 3-mercaptopropionic acid (MPA) or meso-2,3-dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) were studied with linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) over a wide range of positive potentials vs. Ag/AgCl. The EIS data exhibited linear capacitive behaviour at 0.0 V with either MPA or DMSA added directly to the electrolyte suggesting the formation of an adsorbed layer of the alkylthiol on the electrode surface. Above this potential, a single well-defined impedance loop appeared for electrolyte solutions containing DMSA or MPA, an observation indicative of a charge transfer reaction that could be related to several processes including oxidative desorption, oxidation of the alkylthiol, or Au oxidation/dissolution. To test for Au dissolution, the electrode was held at 0.8 V vs. Ag/AgCl for 12 h in electrolytes containing MPA or DMSA followed by surface analysis with Atomic Force Microscopy and solution analysis with Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy. When the electrolyte contained MPA, the extended potential holding procedure resulted in significant roughening of the electrode with no detectable quantities of Au in the electrolyte. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis of the Au surface revealed an additional species in the Au 4f7/2 spectrum indicating the presence of an insoluble electrochemically generated Au(I)–MPA species. When the electrolyte contained DMSA, the Au electrode appeared smoother, 56.6 ± 9.6 ppb of Au was detected in the electrolyte and the XPS analysis displayed a single species in the Au 4f7/2 spectrum indicative of metallic Au after the potential holding procedure. Both observations with MPA and DMSA support the charge transfer resistance to be at least partially related to the corrosion of Au, but also suggest that an electrochemically generated Au–DMSA species is soluble and of potential industrial relevance.  相似文献

The interaction between radiation and a two-level molecular system in the presence of permanent dipole moments is analyzed. It is found that the nonzero difference between permanent dipoles induces a polarization that oscillates at frequencies ω, 2ω, 3ω, etc., where ω is the frequency of the electromagnetic field resonant with the two-level system. An analysis of the propagation equation of the harmonics shows that even harmonics are amplified while odd harmonics are absorbed  相似文献

Using annual bite-wing radiographs, the incidence and progression of approximal caries (4d-7m) were assessed longitudinally in teenagers and adolescents whose treatment had been based on remineralizing rather than restorative strategies. A closed cohort of 536 children initially was followed from 11 to 22 years of age. The scoring system was: 0 = no visible radiolucency; 1-2 = radiolucency in the enamel up to the enamel-dentin border; 3 = radiolucency with a broken enamel-dentin border but with no obvious progression in the dentin; 4 = radiolucency with obvious spread in the outer half of the dentin, and 5 = radiolucency in the inner half of the dentin. Caries rates were estimated as the number of new lesions/100 tooth surface-years, and the Kaplan-Meier estimate was used to calculate the cumulative survival time of each approximal surface. Three events were used: the transitions from states 0 to 2, 2 to 4 and 3 to 4. The results showed a considerable variation between the surfaces in both caries rates and survival time. For all surfaces combined, the median caries rate from state 0 to 2 was 3.9 new lesions/100 tooth surface-years; from state 2 to 4, the rate was 5.4, and from state 3 to 4 it was 20.3. Of the sound surfaces (state 0), 75% survived 6.3 years without reaching state 2. Given state 2, 75% survived 4.8 years without reaching the outer half of the dentin (state 4), while given a lesion at the enamel-dentin border (state 3), 75% survived 1.3 years without doing the same. The median survival time of lesions from state 3 to 4 was 3.1 years. The group with DMFSappr>1 at the age of 11-12 years had a risk of new approximal enamel lesions (state 0-2) that was 2.5 times greater than that of the group with DMFSappr = 0-1.  相似文献

Oviposition behavior was elicited fromCatolaccus grandis (Burks) (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) females, an ectoparasitoid of the boll weevil,Anthonomus grandis Boheman (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), by smears of freshly cut cotton bolls or smears of extracts prepared with boll weevil damaged or undamaged cotton boll tissues. Oviposition behavior was also elicited fromC. grandis females by smears made withn-pentane,n-hexane,n-heptane, and isooctane. This is the first report of oviposition behavior elicited for any parasitoid by these short-chain saturated hydrocarbons (alkanes), introducing a new concept on the chemical mediation of parasitoid behavior during host selection. Oviposition behavior was also elicited fromC. grandis females by volatiles emanating from an artificial diet devoid of insect components that was specifically developed for the in vitro rearing of ectoparasitoids. The possible use of a synergistic combination ofn-hexane and diet to optimize the mechanized production of noncontaminated eggs is also discussed.Mention of a commercial or proprietary product does not constitute an endorsement by the USDA.  相似文献
