Korean rice varieties, ‘Druryechanbyeo’ and ‘Boramchanbyeo’, were developed to get higher yields and to be used in rice products. The rice grains were dried and milled into rice flours after first going through the soaking process. The properties and qualities of cupcakes made with dry-milled rice flours were compared with cupcakes made with commercial dry-milled rice flours (CDRF). The newly developed rice flours (NDRF) had higher apparent amylose content, water binding capacity, swelling power, and peak viscosities, but had lower damaged-starch content, gelatinization temperature, and final and setback viscosities than CDRF. The specific gravity of batter, and hardness and springiness of cupcakes were lower in NDRF than in CDRF. The cake textures from ‘Boramchan’ NDRF were more preferable than those from ‘Druyechan’ NDRF. The specific volume and overall quality of cupcake were correlated positively with amylose content and water binding capacity, but negatively with damaged starch of rice flours.  相似文献

HR (Hot-Rolled steel coil) plates are produced by straightening hot-rolled steel coil with a primary objective to substitute conventional thick plates, thereby avoiding a number of difficulties encountered in the production and shipment of thick plates and relieving supply problems. In order to evaluate the applicability of HR plates to building structures under KBC 2009 steel design provision, a total of four full-scale welded built-up H-beam with simple supports are tested together with associated key material testing. The full-scale beam specimens are respectively classified into two categories; the flexure-dominated beam and the shear-dominated beam; to evaluate both the bending and shear strength separately. In the material test the HR plates satisfy both the tensile mechanical properties and the CVN toughness which are required in the current material specification. Both the flexure-dominated and the shear-dominated beams exhibit sufficient capacities that exceed the nominal strengths specified in the KBC 2009, thus confirming the applicability of the HR plate.  相似文献

The aim of this in vitro study was to investigate the changes in mechanical, optical, and surface properties of multilayered zirconia during hydrothermal aging.One conventional block (Katana Zirconia HT) and three multilayered blocks (Katana Zirconia ML, STML, and UTML) of monolithic zirconia were examined. Bar-shaped specimens were autoclaved at 134°C and 0.2MPa for 0, 5, and 10 h. The Young's modulus, three-point flexural strength, and nanoindentation hardness were measured to evaluate the mechanical properties. The surface roughness, phase distribution, surface microstructure, and elemental composition were measured to analyze the surface properties. The contrast ratio and total transmittance were measured via spectrophotometry to evaluate the optical properties. Statistical differences were analyzed using appropriate ANOVA, Tukey HSD post hoc tests, and independent and paired sample t-tests (α = .05).The monoclinic phase increased gradually after hydrothermal aging. The yttrium and zirconium concentrations decreased, and the oxygen concentration and the surface roughness increased in all specimens (P<.05) after the aging process. All specimens showed significant grain push-out and microcracks. The total transmittance increased, and the contrast ratio and Young's modulus decreased in all specimens (P<.05) after the aging process. The nanoindentation hardness and three-point flexural strength exhibited a decreasing tendency after the aging process. However, there were no statistical differences (P>.05) between the materials. Significant interactions between material grades and hydrothermal aging were found for all the properties studied (P<.001).Microstructural alterations and significant phase transformations were detected on the surface of the multilayered zirconia after hydrothermal aging. The hydrothermal aging led to increased surface roughness, opaqueness, and elasticity of multilayered zirconia. The optical, mechanical, and surface properties of multilayered zirconia were influenced by the grade of the material after hydrothermal aging. Careful consideration of the grade of materials is necessary for the appropriate selection of multilayered zirconia ceramics for monolithic restorations.  相似文献

Advances in material science and nanotechnology have fostered the miniaturization of devices. Over the past two decades, the form-factor of these devices has evolved from 3D rigid, volumetric devices through 2D film-based flexible electronics, finally to 1D fiber electronics (fibertronics). In this regard, fibertronic strategies toward wearable applications (e.g., electronic textiles (e-textiles)) have attracted considerable attention thanks to their capability to impart various functions into textiles with retaining textiles' intrinsic properties as well as imperceptible irritation by foreign matters. In recent years, extensive research has been carried out to develop various functional devices in the fiber form. Among various features, lighting and display features are the highly desirable functions in wearable electronics. This article discusses the recent progress of materials, architectural designs, and new fabrication technologies of fiber-shaped lighting devices and the current challenges corresponding to each device's operating mechanism. Moreover, opportunities and applications that the revolutionary convergence between the state-of-the-art fibertronic technology and age-long textile industry will bring in the future are also discussed.  相似文献

ABSTRACT: A vacuum-sealed miniature X-ray tube based on a carbon nanotube field-emission electron source has been demonstrated. The diameter of the X-ray tube is 10 mm; the total length of the tube is 50 mm, and no external vacuum pump is required for the operation. The maximum tube voltage reaches up to 70 kV, and the X-ray tube generates intense X-rays with the air kerma strength of 108 Gy * cm2 min1. In addition, X-rays produced from the miniature X-ray tube have a comparatively uniform spatial dose distribution.  相似文献

We shall deal with some problems concerning the stability domains, the spectrum of matrix pairs, the exponential stability and its robustness measure for linear implicit dynamic equations of arbitrary index. First, some characterizations of the stability domains corresponding to a convergent sequence of time scales are derived. Then, we investigate how the spectrum of matrix pairs, the exponential stability and the stability radii for implicit dynamic equations depend on the equation data when the structured perturbations act on both the coefficient of derivative and the right-hand side.  相似文献

A thermoeconomic analysis of a ground‐source heat pump (GSHP) system with a vertical or horizontal ground heat exchanger, a type of heat delivery system, was performed using the modified productive structure analysis method. In this analysis, the unit cost of geothermal heat delivered to a room using GSHP system was estimated. The unit cost of heat delivered was calculated to be $0.063/kWh for input of electricity with a unit cost of $0.140/kWh for a GSHP with a coefficient of performance (COP) of 3.27. Exergy destruction and monetary losses due to the irreversibility that occurs at each component of the system were also estimated. The unit cost of heat was found to be inversely proportional to the COP of the heat pump and proportional to the electricity input. The greatest monetary loss occurs in the geothermal heat exchanger in which considerable mass of brine flows in long pipes and in the fan‐coil unit which features a complex configuration of pipes in the air passages, respectively. The effects of carbon fraction on various corrosion properties of Fe18Cr10MnNC alloys were investigated. The alloys contained 0.6?wt pct of nitrogen and carbon, and the carbon fraction varied from 0.03 to 0.47. With increasing the carbon fraction, corrosion potential raised, critical dissolution rate decreased, and pitting potential increased. The high carbon fraction was responsible for high resistance against intergranular corrosion of the alloys aged at 1123?K (850?°C) for 100?seconds. But after aging at 1123?K (850?°C) for 600?seconds, the intergranular corrosion accelerated with increasing the carbon fraction.  相似文献
