ex > 9.5 eV), generated by a 12-ns electron beam, to chlorine donor molecules were deduced from time-resolved spectra of fluorescence in the region 240–340 nm. The emissions at 240–250 nm were assigned to Xe2** excimers, and those at 308 and 340 nm to XeCl(B) and XeCl(C) states. A linear correlation between isotropic nuclear magnetic shielding constants for seven model molecules (CH2O, H2O, HF, F2, HCN, SiH4 and H2S) calculated with 37 methods (34 density functionals, RHF, MP2 and CCSD(T)), with affordable pcS‐2 basis set and corresponding complete basis set results, estimated from calculations with the family of polarization‐consistent pcS‐n basis sets is reported. This dependence was also supported by inspection of profiles of deviation between CBS estimated nuclear shieldings and shieldings obtained with the significantly smaller basis sets pcS‐2 and aug‐cc‐pVTZ‐J for the selected set of 37 calculation methods. It was possible to formulate a practical approach of estimating the values of isotropic nuclear magnetic shielding constants at the CCSD(T)/CBS and MP2/CBS levels from affordable CCSD(T)/pcS‐2, MP2/pcS‐2 and DFT/CBS calculations with pcS‐n basis sets. Possibilities of membrane technology and the use of membrane processes in wastewater treatment were investigated. The main
focus was the monitoring of the starting phase of a domestic wastewater treatment plant. Experimental part of the study was
realized at the municipal wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) Devínska Nová Ves — Bratislava during the period from February
2005 to September 2006. The system was stable without any external chemical treatment of the membrane modules and the permeate
quality was very high. Observed decrease of COD and BOD5 values ranged between 91 % and 98 %. The process of nitrification was very successful considering its high efficiency (>
95 %).

In this paper we concentrate on the general behavior of oxotitanium hydrosol, which was earlier developed by us as a precursor of the TiO2 nanoparticles and nanocomposite. The oxotitanium hydrosol was synthesized by the chemical decomposition of a molecular complex of the methacrylic acid/(tetra‐isopropyl)orthotitanate (MAA/TIPT) by means of the hydrogen peroxide. The raw product chemical decomposition of MAA/TIPT is the colloidal suspension of the oxotitanium compound in the water. The oxotitanium compound was separated from hydrosol and identified on the basis of X‐ray and Raman spectroscopy investigations. The status of water in the hydrosol was also investigated by the Raman spectroscopy. The photophysical behaviors of the oxotitanium hydrosol on the basis of the light absorption and photoluminescence (PL) investigations are presented. The light absorption (260 nm) and PL emission (313 nm) allow us to identify the inorganic phase of hydrosol as nanosheets' crystallites of quasi‐TiO2. Macromolecular nature of nanosheets of quasi‐TiO2 was revealed only for a higher concentration solution of nanosheets' crystallites of quasi‐TiO2 at the hydrosol. A macromolecular nature of nanosheets of quasi‐TiO2 by the red shift of absorption edge and PL wavelength with increase in the concentration of the oxotitanium hydrosol as well as the formation of hydrogels and birefringence developed under an influence of mechanical shearing is evidenced.
