含氟固体锗富集物的处理

含氟的锗富集物的利用,由于氟对玻璃,搪瓷设备的腐蚀以及影响锗的分离,受到了很大限制,作者根据物料中氟存在的不同状态,摸索出用专用试剂,使物料中氟“激活”得易用硼酸将其除去,然后再使“钝”化的锗“活化”,以提高四氮化锗的回收率。用这种综合处理法,可使难处理的含氟固体锗富集物,氯化蒸馏ＧｅＣｌ４的回收率达９１％以上,并彻底消除了对搪瓷反应釜的腐蚀。

Supramolecular Surface Modification and Solubilization of Single‐Walled Carbon Nanotubes with Cyclodextrin Complexation

A novel approach to solubilize single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) in the aqueous phase is described by employing supramolecular surface modification. We use cyclodextrin complexes of synthetic molecules that contain a planar pyrene moiety or a bent, shape‐fitted triptycene moiety as a binding group connected through a spacer to an adamantane moiety that is accommodated in the cyclodextrin cavity. The binding groups attach to the sidewalls of SWCNTs through a π–π stacking interaction to yield a supramolecular system that allows the SWCNTs to dissolve in the aqueous phase through the formed hydrophilic cyclodextrin shell. The black aqueous SWCNT solutions obtained are stable over a period of months. They are characterized through absorbance, static, and time‐resolved fluorescence spectroscopy as well as Raman spectroscopy, TEM, and fluorescence‐decay measurements. Furthermore, the shape‐fitted triptycene‐based system shows a pronounced selectivity for SWCNTs with a diameter of 1.0 nm.     

Semiquantitative multielemental analysis of biological samples by a laser ionization orthogonal time-of-flight mass spectrometer

Semiquantitative multielemental analyses of biological samples (tea leaf standard, Laminaria japonica, and pig skin) were demonstrated with a newly developed laser ionization orthogonal time-of-flight mass spectrometer (LI-O-TOFMS). The sample was directly ablated and ionized with high irradiance after simple sample preparation. Relative sensitivity coefficients (RSC) were calculated and evaluated for sensitivity differences. Due to the employment of a collisional cooling device and the orthogonal geometry of the TOF system, high resolving power can be obtained, such that elemental peaks and interferential peaks with the same nominal mass can be distinguished. The detection limit of μg g⁻¹ levels can be commonly achieved for elemental determination.
