实验与理论研究了外光注入种子脉冲有效压缩增益开关DFB激光器光谱线宽的注入时间窗口.发现只有在增益开关光脉冲建立之前约100 ps的时间窗口内,注入种子脉冲方可以有效压缩增益开关DFB半导体激光器光谱线宽, 并且线宽随着注入光强度的增加而减小,可产生低啁啾的近变换极限的超短光脉冲.实验证实,在此时间窗口内注入种子脉冲,增益开关DFB激光器的光谱线宽从0.46 nm压缩至0.08 nm,时间带宽积从2.46降低至0.70.同时理论研究了增益开关DFB半导体激光器的光谱线宽压缩与种子脉冲的注入时间及强度的关系.  相似文献

在纳秒时域,研究了激光脉冲宽度变化对克尔介质中瞬态热光非 线性效应的影响.通过不同脉冲宽度τp下得到的二硫化碳 苯胺黑溶液的Z_scan实验结果,对瞬态热光非线性效应和光克尔效应的共存过程进行了分析 .随着脉冲宽度的增加,观察到了热光非线性效应从瞬态到稳态变化过程和Z_scan峰谷特性 的转变.同时,从声波的传播方程和光波的非线性传播方程出发,用数值计算方法模拟了这 一非线性过程,结果表明数值模拟结果和实验结果是相符的. 关键词: 瞬态热光非线性效应 脉冲宽度 Z_scan 克尔效应  相似文献

对负啁啾脉冲在正常色散光纤中传输特性进行了数值分析和实验研究,数值分析与实验结果基本一致。数值分析和实验证明正常色散光纤不仅能压窄负啁啾的脉宽而且能压窄频谱,采用正常色散光纤消啁啾后用色散位移光纤为传输媒质成功地进行了一阶和高阶孤子传输。  相似文献

We demonstrate a new approach to fast optical switching with a technique based on stimulated Raman adiabatic passage in which a laser pulse switches the probe field on and off via another coupling pulse. This new kind of optical switching is not limited by the decay rate of an excited state and can operate in the subnanosecond time domain. The experimental observation in Rb atomic vapor is in good agreement with numerical simulations.  相似文献

We present a numerical technique for reversing femtosecond pulse propagation in an optical fiber, such that given any output pulse it is possible to obtain the input pulse shape by numerically undoing all dispersion and nonlinear effects. The technique is tested against experimental results, and it is shown that it can be used for fiber output pulse optimization in both the anomalous and normal dispersion regimes.  相似文献

A numerical model of four-wave mixing between picosecond pulses in a tensile-strained bulk semiconductor optical amplifier is presented. The model utilizes a modified Schrödinger equation to model pulse propagation. The Schrödinger equation parameters such as the material gain first and second order dispersion, linewidth enhancement factors and optical loss coefficient were obtained using a previously developed steady-state model. The predicted four-wave mixing pulse characteristics show reasonably good agreement with experimental pulse characteristics obtained using Frequency Resolved Optical Gating. In particular simulations predict a large increase in the pulse pedestals of the FWM converted pulse, which is verified by experiment.  相似文献

We demonstrate near-transform-limited pulse generation through spectral compression arising from nonlinear propagation of negatively chirped pulses in optical fiber. The output pulse intensity and phase were quantified by use of second-harmonic generation frequency-resolved optical gating. Spectral compression from 8.4 to 2.4 nm was obtained. Furthermore, the phase of the spectrally compressed pulse was found to be constant over the spectral and temporal envelopes, which is indicative of a transform-limited pulse. Good agreement was found between the experimental results and numerical pulse-propagation studies.  相似文献

本文分析了小信号情况下飞秒脉冲的倍频特性,在非耗尽近似下,得出了飞秒脉冲二次谐波波形及效率的解析解,在时间域内,对一般条件的耦合波方程进行了数值解,分析了相位失配对飞秒脉冲倍频波形及效率的影响。 用0.5mm厚的一类匹配LBO晶体对碰撞锁模激光器产生的80fs超短脉冲进行了腔外倍频实验,实验结果与理论计算符合得很好。  相似文献

Pulse compression characteristics in dispersion-decreasing-like fibers (DDLF) are firstly investigated by employing the second-harmonic generation frequency-resolved optical gating (SHG-FROG) technique, are compared with the numerical results that are obtained using the split-step Fourier method. It is found that the experimental data are consistent with the numerical results. The results show that the pulse compression method is effective. The pulse can be effectively compressed and its spectrum can be broadened in the DDLF. That the pulse compression effect is enhanced with the increase of the input power is in correspondence with the spectrum broadening.  相似文献

An improved harmonic mode-locked Semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) fiber ring lasers has been presented and numerically investigated based on the self-reproduction theory. The numerical result shows that a narrower optical pulse train with a more symmetrical-temporal shape can be obtained, when the modulation SOA is DC biased on high current, whereas the gain SOA is DC biased on the low current functions as a gain compensator in the experimental setup. Also, the system parameters effects on the characteristic of the harmonic mode-locked pulse have been investigated.  相似文献

提出一种基于互逆光纤色散的微波光子雷达系统设计方案,既可以产生宽带线性调频信号,又可以实现线性调频信号的光域脉冲压缩.在发射端利用互逆色散光纤产生线性调频信号.在接收端,雷达回波信号通过马赫-曾德调制器调制到预啁啾的光信号上,然后经过色散光纤的进一步色散.最终在探测器端可以得到目标回波信号脉冲压缩后的结果.该方案无需脉冲压缩过程中数字化和离线处理,且具有脉冲压缩比的调谐作用.理论、数值仿真和实验证明了该设计方案能有效进行线性调频信号的光域脉冲压缩.实验产生了C波段下时宽1.2ns,带宽3.2GHz的线性调频信号,并通过互逆色散光纤将该信号压缩到了0.09ns,脉冲压缩比达13.3.  相似文献

利用快速数值差分递推算法对非线性薛定谔方程进行推导分析,得到一个同时考虑群速色散效应、非线性效应以及偏振模色散效应的时域快速数值差分递推关系,并将该方法应用于研究偏振模色散作用下的光脉冲传输,得到的计算结果分别与解析结果和传统的分步傅里叶算法所得结果进行对比,表明这种快速数值差分递推算法拥有很高的计算准确度,并且物理模型更加合理,完全适合分析计算偏振模色散作用下的光脉冲传输问题.利用该方法研究了光脉冲的畸变以及脉冲展宽问题,获得的计算结果为光纤传输系统的设计提供了参考.  相似文献

We present what is believed to be the first experimental evidence showing the breakup of a chirped N-soliton pulse into an ordered train of fundamental solitons, as predicted by theory. We present an experimental observation of the dynamics of an initially chirped optical soliton at 1.55microm that is propagating through a single-mode optical fiber, using frequency-resolved optical gating (FROG). FROG permits observation of both the amplitude and the phase profiles of ultrashort pulses, providing complete information on the pulse evolution. The features that are detected, which include what is believed to be the first experimental observation of phase slips, are in quantitative agreement with numerical simulations that employ the nonlinear Schr?dinger equation.  相似文献

Ultrafast pulse shaping and ultrafast pulse spectral phase-retrieval techniques are used in the spectral interference measurement of nonlinear pulse propagation dynamics in dispersion-shifted optical fiber. Nonlinear responses in both amplitude profile and phase profile of the pulses at zero-dispersion wavelength as well as at nonzero-dispersion wavelength are directly measured. A numerical simulation that uses a third-oder-dispersion-included nonlinear Schr?dinger equation gives excellent agreement with the experimental data.  相似文献

为了避免在高功率光纤放大器和光纤相位共轭镜等实际应用中因受激Brillouin散射(SBS)造成的光纤损伤,根据描述SBS动态弛豫振荡特性的振幅耦合方程,利用有限差分的数值模拟方法研究了光纤中SBS的动态弛豫振荡特性,并对其抑制进行了初步探讨.得到了光纤中SBS弛豫振荡在不同的脉冲上升时间的时空三维图;同时利用方波和脉冲光作抽运光进行了相应实验研究,实验结果与理论模拟结果符合很好.结果表明,增大抽运光脉冲上升时间可以有效抑制因SBS而产生的弛豫振荡,进而避免因其造成的光纤损伤. 关键词: 受激Brillouin散射 动态弛豫振荡特性 有限差分法  相似文献

Propagation of a light pulse through a high-Q optical microcavity containing a few cold atoms (N<10) in its cavity mode is investigated experimentally. With less than ten cold rubidium atoms launched into an optical microcavity, up to 170 ns propagation lead time ("superluminal"), and 440 ns propagation delay time (subluminal) are observed. Comparison of the experimental data with numerical simulations as well as future experiments are discussed.  相似文献

The design and performance analysis of a new coherent optical en/decoder based on photonic crystal (PhC) for optical code -division -multiple (OCDM) are presented in this paper. In this scheme, the optical pulse phase and time delay can be flexibly controlled by photonic crystal phase shifter and time delayer by using the appropriate design of fabrication. According to the PhC transmission matrix theorem, combination calculation of the impurity and normal period layers is applied, and performances of the PhC-based optical en/decoder are also analyzed. The reflection, transmission, time delay characteristic and optical spectrum of pulse en/decoded are studied for the waves tuned in the photonic band-gap by numerical calculation. Theoretical analysis and numerical results indicate that the optical pulse is achieved to properly phase modulation and time delay, and an auto-correlation of about 8 dB ration and cross-correlation is gained, which demonstrates the applicability of true pulse phase modulation in a number of applications.  相似文献
