We investigate value distribution and uniqueness problems of difference polynomials of meromorphic functions. In particular, we show that for a finite order transcendental meromorphic function f with λ(1/f)<ρ(f) and a non-zero complex constant c, if n?2, then fn(z)f(z+c) assumes every non-zero value aC infinitely often. This research also shows that there exist two sets S1 with 9 (resp. 5) elements and S2 with 1 element, such that for a finite order nonconstant meromorphic (resp. entire) function f and a non-zero complex constant c, Ef(z)(Sj)=Ef(z+c)(Sj)(j=1,2) imply f(z)≡f(z+c). This gives an answer to a question of Gross concerning a finite order meromorphic function f and its shift.  相似文献

In this paper, by studying the properties of meromorphic functions which have few zeros and poles, we find all the entire functions f(z) which share a small and finite order meromorphic function a(z) with its derivative, and f(n)(z)−a(z)=0 whenever f(z)−a(z)=0 (n?2). A number of results are proved concerning the existences of zeros and fixed points of g(z) or g(z)/f(z) which expand results of Bergweiler and Langley [W. Bergweiler, J.K. It was shown by S.N. Bernstein that if f is an entire function of exponential type τ such that |f(x)|?M for −∞<x<∞, then |f(x)|?Mτ for −∞<x<∞. If p is a polynomial of degree at most n with |p(z)|?M for |z|=1, then f(z):=p(eiz) is an entire function of exponential type n with |f(x)|?M on the real axis. Hence, by the just mentioned inequality for functions of exponential type, |p(z)|?Mn for |z|=1. Lately, many papers have been written on polynomials p that satisfy the condition znp(1/z)≡p(z). They do form an intriguing class. If a polynomial p satisfies this condition, then f(z):=p(eiz) is an entire function of exponential type n that satisfies the condition f(z)≡einzf(−z). This led Govil [N.K. Govil, Lp inequalities for entire functions of exponential type, Math. Inequal. Appl. 6 (2003) 445-452] to consider entire functions f of exponential type satisfying f(z)≡eiτzf(−z) and find estimates for their derivatives. Integral operator, introduced by Noor, is defined by using convolution. Let fn(z)=z/(1−z)n+1, nN0, and let f be analytic in the unit disc E. Then Inf=f(−1)nf, where fnf(−1)n=z/(1−z). Using this operator, certain classes of analytic functions, related with the classes of functions with bounded boundary rotation and bounded boundary radius rotation, are defined and studied in detail. Some basic properties, rate of growth of coefficients, and a radius problem are investigated. It is shown that these classes are closed under convolution with convex functions. In this paper, we obtain a version of subordination lemma for hyperbolic disk relative to hyperbolic geometry on the unit disk D. This subordination lemma yields the distortion theorem for Bloch mappings f ∈ H(B^n) satisfying ||f||0 = 1 and det f'(0) = α ∈ (0, 1], where||f||0 = sup{(1 - |z|^2 )n+1/2n det(f'(z))[1/n : z ∈ B^n}. Here we establish the distortion theorem from a unified perspective and generalize some known results. This distortion theorem enables us to obtain a lower bound for the radius of the largest univalent ball in the image of f centered at f(0). When a = 1, the lower bound reduces to that of Bloch constant found by Liu. When n = 1, our distortion theorem coincides with that of Bonk, Minda and Yanagihara.  相似文献

Given a continuous function f:Sm+n−2Rm, and n points u1,u2,…,unSm+n−2; does there exist a rotation rSO(m+n−1) such that f(ru1)=f(ru2)=?=f(run)? In this paper, we study the property of a continuous map from a sphere to a Euclidean space by using the theory of Smith periodic transformation and Brouwer degree of map theorem. The conjecture is proved under the case of n=2 and m being even. Furthermore, this conjecture is proved for the case when ujuj+1=λ and the dimension of the sphere is not less than m+n−2. This paper generalizes the Borsuk-Ulam theorem and then presents its application.  相似文献

In this note, we study the admissible meromorphic solutions for algebraic differential equation fnf' + Pn?1(f) = R(z)eα(z), where Pn?1(f) is a differential polynomial in f of degree ≤ n ? 1 with small function coefficients, R is a non-vanishing small function of f, and α is an entire function. We show that this equation does not possess any meromorphic solution f(z) satisfying N(r, f) = S(r, f) unless Pn?1(f) ≡ 0. Using this result, we generalize a well-known result by Hayman.  相似文献

In this paper we study the distribution of zeros of each entire function of the sequence , which approaches the Riemann zeta function for Rez<−1, and is closely related to the solutions of the functional equations f(z)+f(2z)+?+f(nz)=0. We determine the density of the zeros of Gn(z) on the critical strip where they are situated by using almost-periodic functions techniques. Furthermore, by using a theorem of Kronecker, we also establish a formula for the number of zeros of Gn(z) inside certain rectangles in the critical strip.  相似文献
