In this paper, force/motion tracking control is investigated for nonholonomic mobile manipulators with unknown parameters and disturbances under uncertain holonomic constraints. The nonholonomic mobile manipulator is transformed into a reduced chained form, and then, robust adaptive force/motion control with hybrid variable signals is proposed to compensate for parametric uncertainties and suppress bounded disturbances. The control scheme guarantees that the outputs of the dynamic system track some bounded auxiliary signals, which subsequently drive the kinematic system to the desired trajectory/force. Simulation studies on the control of a wheeled mobile manipulator are used to show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.  相似文献

A fully adaptive decentralized control of robot manipulators   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
In this paper, we develop a fully adaptive decentralized controller of robot manipulators for trajectory tracking. With high-order and adaptive variable-structure compensations, the proposed scheme makes both position and velocity tracking errors of robot manipulators globally converge to zero asymptotically while allowing all signals in closed-loop systems to be bounded, even without any prior knowledge of robot manipulators. Thus this control scheme is claimed to be fully adaptive. Even when the proposed scheme is modified to avoid the possible chattering in actual implementations, the overall performance will remain appealing. Finally, numerical results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed schemes at the end.  相似文献

This study is devoted to sensorless adaptive force/position control of robot manipulators using a position-based adaptive force estimator (AFE) and a force-based adaptive environment compliance estimator. Unlike the other sensorless method in force control that uses disturbance observer and needs an accurate model of the manipulator, in this method, the unknown parameters of the robot can be estimated along with the force control. Even more, the environment compliance can be estimated simultaneously to achieve tracking force control. In fact, this study deals with three challenging problems: No force sensor is used, environment stiffness is unknown, and some parametric uncertainties exist in the robot model. A theorem offers control laws and updating laws for two control loops. In the inner loop, AFE estimates the exerted force, and then, the force control law in the outer loop modifies the desired trajectory of the manipulator for the adaptive tracking loop. Besides, an updating law updates the estimated compliance to provide an accurate tracking force control. Some experimental results of a PHANToM Premium robot are provided to validate the proposed scheme. In addition, some simulations are presented that verify the performance of the controller for different situations in interaction.  相似文献

Adaptive iterative learning control for robot manipulators   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
In this paper, we propose some adaptive iterative learning control (ILC) schemes for trajectory tracking of rigid robot manipulators, with unknown parameters, performing repetitive tasks. The proposed control schemes are based upon the use of a proportional-derivative (PD) feedback structure, for which an iterative term is added to cope with the unknown parameters and disturbances. The control design is very simple in the sense that the only requirement on the PD and learning gains is the positive definiteness condition and the bounds of the robot parameters are not needed. In contrast to classical ILC schemes where the number of iterative variables is generally equal to the number of control inputs, the second controller proposed in this paper uses just two iterative variables, which is an interesting fact from a practical point of view since it contributes considerably to memory space saving in real-time implementations. We also show that it is possible to use a single iterative variable in the control scheme if some bounds of the system parameters are known. Furthermore, the resetting condition is relaxed to a certain extent for a certain class of reference trajectories. Finally, simulation results are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed controllers.  相似文献

A performance oriented multi-loop approach to the adaptive robust tracking control of one-degree-of-freedom mechanical systems with input saturation, state constraints, parametric uncertainties and input disturbances is presented. The control system contains three loops. In the outer loop, constrained optimization algorithms are developed to generate a replanned trajectory on-line at a low sampling rate so that the converging speed of the overall system response to the desired target is maximized while not causing input saturation and the violation of state constraints. In the inner loop, a constrained adaptive robust control (ARC) law is synthesized and implemented at high sampling rate to achieve the required robust tracking performances with respect to the replanned trajectory even with various types of uncertainties and input saturation. In the middle loop, a set-membership identification (SMI) algorithm is implemented to obtain a tighter estimate of the upper bound of the inertia so that more aggressive replanned trajectory could be used to further improve the overall system response speed. Interaction of the three loops is explicitly characterized by a set of inequalities that the design variables of each loop have to satisfy. It is theoretically shown that the resulting closed-loop system can track feasible desired trajectories with a guaranteed converging time and steady-state tracking accuracy without violating the state constraints. Experiments have been carried out on a linear motor driven industrial positioning system to compare the proposed multi-loop constrained ARC algorithm with some of the traditional control algorithms. Comparative experimental results obtained confirm the superior performance of the proposed algorithm over existing ones.  相似文献

An adaptive fuzzy strategy for motion control of robot manipulators   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
This paper makes an attempt to develop a self-tuned proportional-integral-derivative (PID)-type fuzzy controller for the motion control of robot manipulators. In recent past, it has been widely believed that static fuzzy controllers can not be suitably applied for controlling manipulators with satisfaction because the robot manipulator dynamics is too complicated. Hence more complicated and sophisticated neuro-fuzzy controllers and fuzzy versions of nonlinear controllers have been more and more applied in this problem domain. The present paper attempts to look back at this widely accepted idea and tries to develop a self-tuned fuzzy controller with small incremental complexity over conventional fuzzy controllers, which can yet attain satisfactory performance. The proposed controller is successfully applied in simulation to control two-link and three-link robot manipulators.  相似文献

A switched adaptive controller is designed for robot manipulators with friction and changing loads. The nonlinear friction is depicted by a nonlinear friction model, and a switched nonlinear system is used to model the parameter jump caused by load change. Hyperstability theory is used in the designing procedure, which provides more options for adaptive laws than Lyapunov theory. In the presence of friction and changing loads, asymptotic tracking is achieved under arbitrary switching, which is not able to accomplish by a non-switched adaptive controller. The proposed method is validated by a simulation of a 2 degree of freedom manipulator.  相似文献

This paper studies the trajectory and force tracking control problem of mobile manipulators subject to holonomic and nonholonomic constraints with unknown inertia parameters. Adaptive controllers are proposed based on a suitable reduced dynamic model, the defined reference signals and the mixed tracking errors. The proposed controllers not only ensure the entire state of the system to asymptotically converge to the desired trajectory but also ensure the constraint force to asymptotically converge to the desired force. A detailed numerical example is presented to illustrate the developed methods.  相似文献

A global adaptive learning control for robotic manipulators   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3

This paper addresses the problem of designing a global adaptive learning control for robotic manipulators with revolute joints and uncertain dynamics. The reference signals to be tracked are assumed to be smooth and periodic with known period. By developing in Fourier series expansion the input reference signals of every joint, an adaptive learning PD control is designed which ‘learns’ the input reference signals by identifying their Fourier coefficients: global asymptotic and local exponential stability of the tracking error dynamics are obtained when the Fourier series expansion of each input reference signal is finite, while arbitrary small tracking errors are achieved otherwise. The resulting control is not model based and depends only on the period of the reference signals and on some constant bounds on the robot dynamics.  相似文献

We consider the problem of PID tracking control of robotics manipulators. Our objective is to prove that under classical PID control, semiglobal stability can be assured with arbitrary small output tracking error. This means that, for any given set of initial conditions Wx, there exist PID control gains such that all trajectories starting in Wx converge to a residual set of arbitrary size. A novel PID control configuration is developed in terms of a parameter that is directly related with the size of the region of attraction and the size of the residual set. Tuning guidelines are extracted from the stability analysis.  相似文献

This paper proposes two simple adaptive control schemes of robot manipulators. The first one is the state feedback control which consists of feedforward from the desired position trajectory, PD feedback from the actual trajectory, and an auxiliary input. The second one is the feedforward/feedback control which consists of a feedforward term from the desired position, velocity, and acceleration trajectory based on the inverse of robot dynamics. The feedforward, feedback, and auxiliary gains are adapted using simple equations derived from the decentralized adaptive control theory based on Lyapunov's direct method, and using only the local information of the corresponding joint. The proposed control schemes are computationally fast and do not require a priori knowledge of the detail parameters of the manipulator or the payload. Simulation results are presented in support of the proposed schemes. The results demonstrate that both controllers perform well with bounded adaptive gains.  相似文献

A composite adaptive control law for robot manipulators in task space, which uses both the tracking error and the prediction error to drive parameter estimation, is developed in this paper. It is shown that global stability and convergence can be achieved for the adaptive control algorithm in the ideal case, and furthermore that the algorithm can be easily modified by using parameter projection to achieve robustness with respect to a class of unmodelled dynamics. In addition, the algorithm has the advantage that no requirement is needed for the inverse of the jacobian matrix or for the bounded inverse of the estimated inertia matrix. A simulation example is provided for performance demonstration.  相似文献

Most research so far on trajectory tracking of free-floating space manipulators has assumed that the kinematics of the space manipulator is exactly known. However, when a space manipulator picks up different tools of unknown lengths or unknown gripping points, its kinematics and dynamics change and are difficult to derive exactly. Thus, in this paper, we have proposed a passivity based adaptive Jacobian controller for free-floating space manipulators. The proposed controller consists of a transposed Jacobian feedback and a dynamic compensation term, and the parameter adaptation laws are derived by Lyapunov-like stability analysis tools. It is shown that the end-effector motion tracking errors converge asymptotically. To avoid using spacecraft acceleration, we define a new reference velocity, which is called spacecraft reference velocity. In addition, we have also conducted passivity interpretation of the proposed controller to obtain some physical insight into its properties. Simulation results are presented to show the performance of the proposed controller.  相似文献

This paper considers motion/force tracking control of a class of Lagrange mechanical systems with classical nonholonomic constraints. A tracking control method is proposed by combining cascaded methods and backstepping techniques. The main results of this paper include three parts: (1) error dynamics between the kinematic system and the desired paths are transformed into a cascaded system consisting of two subsystems and an interconnection function; (2) under the framework of cascaded methods, virtual controllers for the subsystems are designed to stabilize the error dynamics; (3) the tracking controller is designed for the overall mechanical systems using backstepping techniques.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem of robust adaptive tracking control of uncertain systems with time-varying input delays is studied. Under some mild assumptions, a robust adaptive controller is designed by using adaptive backstepping technique such that the system is globally stable and the system output can track a given reference signal. At the same time, a root mean square type of bound is obtained for the tracking error as a function of design parameters and thus can be adjusted. Finally, one numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.  相似文献

Exponential path tracking control represents an important issue pertaining to the transient performance of robot control systems. In this paper, the so-called Exp-transformation is applied to obtain transformed robot dynamics models which are used to derive several adaptive control algorithms that achieve exponential path tracking. In contrast to the existing composite adaptive control method; where both the tracking error and the prediction error are used and persistent excitation (p.e.) is required, the proposed strategy requires only the tracking error. This makes the control structure simpler and easier to implement. The main contribution of this paper is the development of practical control strategies for which the p.e. requirement is completely removed (as opposed to relaxing it to semi-p.e. as was done in a recent work). The fundamental idea introduced for exponential stability analysis is conceptually simple and global results are obtained.  相似文献
