The magnetization σc has been observed to depend strongly on temperature and biasing field in the Γ4-phase. Two families of σc (T) occur corresponding to the poly-domain (H < 200 Oe), and mono-domain (H > 200 Oe) states of the samples. This was proved by observation of domain structures in these samples. In addition to the maximum due to the second-order phase transition Γ24, we have revealed a maximum in the susceptibility curves Xc(T) at the high-temperature point of phase transition. The second maximum strongly depends on the biasing field value. Domain structure behaviour in that temperature range, and in various external fields, allowed us to suggest that there exists a relation between this maximum and the shifting processes of domain boundaries, which create a significant susceptibility along the c-axis.  相似文献

We have carried out a systematic structural, electric, and magnetic study on Y---Pd---B---C samples with different compositions with emphasis on the as-cast and annealed YPd5B3C0.3 which was first reported to superconduct at 23 K by Cava et al. We found that the tetragonal body-centered YPd2B2C with lattice parameters a=3.71 Å and c=10.81 Å is the phase responsible for the 23 K superconductivity and that YPd2B2C is metastable, which is consistent with the suggestion made by Cava et al. [1]: it is not stable at high temperatures nor stabilizable by Ni doping, although its isostructural compound, YNi2B2C, exists. Two new phases with Y:Pd ratios of 1:7 and 2:3, respectively, have also bee detected.  相似文献

We report normal-state and superconducting properties of the clathrate-type silver-oxide Ag6O8AgHF2. We present electrical resistivity, DC- and AC-susceptibility and specific-heat measurements of single crystalline Ag6O8AgHF2. In the normal state, Ag6O8AgHF2 exhibits metallic conductivity and a phase transition near 110 K, possibly a structural phase transition as observed in the related compound Ag6O8AgNO3. The onset of superconductivity of our samples is observed around 1.2–1.5 K, and the HT phase diagram is determined for the first time. The upper critical field Hc2(0) is estimated to be about 2000–2200 Oe and the coherence length ξGL(0) to be 40 nm.  相似文献

Anomalous magnetotransport phenomena have been observed in θ-(BEDT-TTF)2I3 crystals at temperatures below 15 K. The magnetoresistance M : (1) is a linear function of the magnetic field H, (2) is not affected by the angle between the electric current and the magnetic field, (3) but depends on the magnetic field orientation with respect to the crystal axis. Magnetoresistance is expressed as M = (aH2a + bH2b + cH2c)0-3/2/H in terms of H = (Ha, Hb, Hc), the zero field resistivity 0, and parameters a, b, and c which are independent of temperature and magnetic field. We have found that b a > c. Magnetoresistance up to 40 is observed for H = 7T along the b-axis at T = 1.5K.  相似文献

Some recent results of magnetic and transport measurements on single crystals of the Er(Ni,Co)2B2C series will be presented and discussed, in particular, possible evidence of a superzone gap formation at the antiferromagnetic phase transition in pure ErNi2B2C, detailed anisotropic HT phase diagrams and their modification with Co doping, and enhancement of the superconducting critical current in the weak ferromagnetic phase.  相似文献

We have measured the resistivity of textured Bi1.84Pb0.4Sr2Ca2Cu3Oy silver-clamped thick films as a function of temperature, current density ranging from 10 to 1×103 A/cm2 and magnetic field up to 0.3 T. We find that the effective activation energy Ue follows Ue(T,J,H)=U0(1−T/Tp)mln(Jc0/J)H with m=1.75 for Hab-plane and 2.5 for Hc-axis and =0.76 for Hab and 0.97 for Hc, for the current density regime above 100 A/cm2, where Tp is a function of applied magnetic field and current density. This result suggests the effective activation energy Ue be correlated with the temperature, current density and magnetic field. The possible dissipative mechanisms responsible for the temperature, current density and magnetic field dependence of the effective activation energy are discussed.  相似文献

采用传统固相反应法制备钙钛矿型锰氧化物 (La0.8Eu0.2)4/3Sr5/3Mn2O7多晶样品, X-射线衍射分析表明, 样品(La0.8Eu0.2)4/3Sr5/3Mn2O7结构呈现良好的单相. 通过磁化强度随温度的变化曲线(M-T)、不同温度下磁化强度随磁场的变化曲线(M-H)和电子自旋共振谱发现: 在300 K以下, 随着温度的降低, 样品先后经历了二维短程铁磁有序转变 (TC2D ≈ 282 K)、三维长程铁磁有序转变(TC3D ≈ 259 K)、奈尔转变(TN ≈ 208K)和电荷有序转变(TCO ≈ 35 K); 样品 (La0.8Eu0.2)4/3Sr5/3Mn2O7TN以下, 主要处于反铁磁态; 在TC3D达到370 K时, 样品处于铁磁-顺磁共存态, 在370 K以上时样品进入顺磁态. 此外, 分析电阻率随温度的变化曲线(ρ-T)得到: 样品在金属-绝缘转变温度(TP ≈ 80 K)附近出现最大磁电阻值, 其位置远离TC3D, 表现出非本征磁电阻现象, 其磁电阻值约为61%. 在TCO以下, 电阻率出现明显增长, 这是由于温度下降使原本在高温部分巡游的eg电子开始自发局域化增强所致. 通过对 (La0.8Eu0.2)4/3Sr5/3Mn2O7ρ-T 曲线拟合, 发现样品在高温部分的导电方式基本遵循小极化子的导电方式. 关键词: 磁性 电性 金属-绝缘转变温度 电子自旋共振  相似文献

The in-plane normal state resistance Rn(T, H) in an overdoped La2−xSrxCuO4 crystal (x = 0.24) has been measured in magnetic fields up to 20 T parallel to the c-axis. The Rn(T) curves in constant fields show a quadratic behavior in a wide range of temperature above Tc(H). Some characteristic features in Rn(H) are observed. In the low-field region Rn(H) increases with increasing H, reaches a maximum and then decreases with further increasing H. Possible origins for the observed unusual Rn(T, H) behavior are discussed.  相似文献

We investigated the coexistence of superconductivity and antiferromagnetic order in the compound Er2O2Bi with anti-ThCr2Si2-type structure through resistivity, magnetization, specific heat measurements and first-principle calculations. The superconducting transition temperature Tc of 1.23 K and antiferromagnetic transition temperature TN of 3 K are observed in the sample with the best nominal composition. The superconducting upper critical field Hc2(0) and electron-phonon coupling constant λeph in Er2O2Bi are similar to those in the previously reported non-magnetic superconductor Y2O2Bi with the same structure, indicating that the superconductivity in Er2O2Bi may have the same origin as in Y2O2Bi. The first-principle calculations of Er2O2Bi show that the Fermi surface is mainly composed of the Bi 6p orbitals both in the paramagnetic and antiferromagnetic state, implying minor effect of the 4f electrons on the Fermi surface. Besides, upon increasing the oxygen incorporation in Er2OxBi, Tc increases from 1 to 1.23 K and TN decreases slightly from 3 K to 2.96 K, revealing that superconductivity and antiferromagnetic order may compete with each other. The Hall effect measurements indicate that hole-type carrier density indeed increases with increasing oxygen content, which may account for the variations of Tc and TN with different oxygen content.  相似文献

To investigate why the sensitivity of the Néel temperature TN of the antiferromagnetic (AF) layered copper perovskites (typically La2CuO4) to diamagnetic impurities such as Zn is reportedly much larger than in the AF members of the K2NiF4 family, we first treat the effect of a concentration c of impurities on the uncorrelated electronic states in the coherent potential approximation (CPA). Then we consider the Heisenberg hamiltonian as the large correlation limit of the Hubbard hamiltonian for a single band of impurity-modified electronic states. The correlation effects are treated variationally. The model is solved explicity by using a rectangular density of states, and we obtain the c-dependent exchange J, staggered moment Sq, spin wave velocity and transverse susceptibility at zero temperature. We take into consideration several recently proposed formulae for TN in the clean limit, and include the impurity effects by exploiting the results obtained, in order to test their predictions against the experimental TN(c) data for La2Cu1−cZncO4. Our results suggest that, to explain the difference between the K2NiF4 and the La2 CuO4 families, one should consider both the sign and the magnitude of the difference I≡εB−εA between impurity (B) and host (A) ionic potentials. The slowly decreasing trend of TN(c) in the K2NiF4 family is reproduced if I is negative and sizeable, or positive but very small, while the quick decrease typical of the copper perovskites requires a positive and rather large I. For reasonable values of the interaction parameters, among the several models we compare, only the model of Chakravarty, Halperin and Nelson is able to semi-quantitatively reproduce the non-linear behaviour of TN(c) reported for La2Cu1−cZncO4, provided the spin stiffness is assumed to scale with c as appropriate to Fermi liquids.  相似文献

Magnetization at 0.3 and 140 Hz (0–10 Oe) and magnetic relaxation measurements were carried out in detail in the temperature range between 4.2 and 300 K for a polycrystalline Fe65Ni35 alloy. The typical temperature Tg and the magnetic field Hg which correspond to the anomalous temperature in χ-T curves and inflection field in σ-H curves, respectively, are summarized and a H-T diagram is obtained. A strong magnetic relaxation is observed along the Hg-T line. The temperature dependence of Hg is discussed by the thermal activation of 180° domain wall which is pinned strongly by the antiferromagnetic-like clusters below Tg. Among the layered two-dimensional ferromagnetic materials(2 D FMs),due to a relatively high T_C,the van der Waals(vdW) Fe_3 GeTe_2(FGT) crystal is of great importance for investigating its distinct magnetic properties.Here,we have carried out static and dynamic magnetization measurements of the FGT crystal with a Curie temperature TC ≈ 204 K.The M-H hysteresis loops with in-plane and out-of-plane orientations show that FGT has a strong perpendicular magnetic anisotropy with the easy axis along its c-axis.Moreover,we have calculated the uniaxial magnetic anisotropy constant(K_1)from the SQUID measurements.The dynamic magnetic properties of FGT have been probed by utilizing the high sensitivity electron-spin-resonance(ESR) spectrometer at cryogenic temperatures.Based on an approximation of single magnetic domain mode,the K_1 and the effective damping constant(α_(eff)) have also been determined from the out-of-plane angular dependence of ferromagnetic resonance(FMR) spectra obtained at the temperature range of 185 K to T_C.We have found large magnetic damping with the effective damping constant α_(eff) ~ 0.58 along with a broad linewidth(ΔH_(pp) 1000 Oe at 9.48 GHz,H ‖ c-axis).Our results provide useful dynamics information for the development of FGT-based spintronic devices.  相似文献

The magnetostriction, magnetization, and spin reorientation properties in Pr(Ga_xFe_(1-x))_(1.9) alloys have been investigated by high-precision x-ray diffraction(XRD) step scanning, magnetization, and Mo¨ssbauer spectra measurements. Ga substitution reduces the magnetostriction(λ_(||)) with magnetic field H ≥ 8 kOe(1 Oe = 1.33322×10~2 Pa), but it also increases the λ|| value when H ≤ 8 kOe at 5 K. Spin-reorientations(SR) are observed in all the alloys investigated, as determined by the step scanned XRD, Mo¨ssbauer spectra, and the abnormal temperature dependence of magnetization. An increase of the spin reorientation temperature(T_(SR)) due to Ga substitution is found in the phase diagram, which is different from the decrease one in many R(T_x Fe_(1-x))_(1.9)(T = Co, Al, Mn) alloys. The present work provides a method to control the easy magnetization direction(EMD) or T_(SR) for developing an anisotropic compensation system.  相似文献

Raman optical activity (ROA) of magnons and phonons in antiferromagnetic FeF2 (TN=78 K) has been studied as a function of temperature and in applied magnetic field. For exciting light incident along the rutile-structure c-axis, ROA is observed for magnons but not phonons. In zero field, the small anisotropy-induced splitting (0.09 cm−1) of the two acoustic-magnon branches is observed by light scattering for the first time. The splitting in applied magnetic field is found to reduce with increasing temperature in accordance with theory. No ROA was detected for two-magnon excitations.  相似文献

The heat release has been measured in high temperature superconductors during and after a change of the external magnetic field μ0Ha ≤ 0.5 T applied parallel to the c-axis at 0.1 K ≤ T ≤ 0.45 K. Two Y123 and one Dy123 twinned single crystals were investigated. An analysis of the heat release based on the Bean model and on a model for thin superconductors in perpendicular geometry recently proposed by Brandt et al. has been carried out. During field sweep we measured ∝ Ha2dHa/dt. This dependence can be understood within the Bean model for longitudinal geometry. The critical current densities obtained with this method are in good agreement with those from magnetization measurements. We also present measurements, and a first quantitative analysis, of dissipation due to the time relaxation of the flux line lattice after a field sweep. For the heat release a t−1 dependence has been found which corresponds to a logarithmic time dependence of the magnetization. The normalized relaxation rate we obtained is in agreement with literature values.  相似文献

We present here the detailed analysis of the magnetic behavior of the Co0.53Ga0.47 alloy, especially at temperatures above the freezing temperature Tf = 10 K. Low field static magnetization measurements were performed by using the SQUID magnetometer in the temperature range 5–65 K and magnetic fields up to 100 Oe. The temperature dependence of the field cooled susceptibility πFC(T) at T > Tf has an anomaly, which is displayed in the double change of the curvature near Ts = 24 K. The data of magnetization MFC in an external field H lie on a universal curve MFC(H/T) at temperatures Tf < T < Ts. The plots of π-1FC(T) and non-linear magnetic susceptibility πnlFC(T-3) are linear lines in the temperature range TfTs. The strong deviation of π-1FC(T) and πnlFC(T-3) from straight line, taking place at T Ts, indicates that Ts is an upper temperature limit of the classical superparamagnetic behavior with the constant cluster moment. The results suggest that such phenomena may be fairly universal for spin glasses.  相似文献

We present measurements of the intrinsic quasi-particle conductivity along the c-axis of 2212-BSCCO single-crystal mesa structures in the superconducting and normal states. Direct measurement of the mesa temperature enables corrections to be made for self-heating and permits the acquisition of reliable IV characteristics over a wide range of temperatures and voltages. Unlike a conventional superconductor, there is no evidence for any change in the quasi-particle conductivity at Tc, consistent with precursor pairing of electrons in the normal state. At low temperatures the initial low-voltage linear conductivity exhibits a T2 dependence, approaching a limiting value at zero temperature.  相似文献

以SrO和CrO2为原料, 在高温高压的条件下直接反应生成纯相的K2NiF4结构的Sr2CrO4多晶样品. 结构用粉末X射线衍射及GSAS精修表征. 磁化率测试显示样品存在一个弱的反铁磁相变, 奈尔温度为TN=95 K. 在奈尔温度以上, 磁化率随温度的变化遵循居里-外斯定律. 对样品进行了电阻测试, 结果显示了样品的绝缘特性.  相似文献

Magnetization (0–10 Oe) and magnetic relaxation measurements were carried out in the temperature range between 4.2 and 300 K for three picture-frame samples of Fe65Ni35 alloy whose edges were parallel to 100, 110 and 111, respectively. The typical temperature Tg and the magnetic field Hg which correspond to the anomalous temperature in the χ-T curve and inflection field in the σ-H curve, respectively are summarized and H-Tg and Hg-T diagrams are obtained. A strong magnetic relaxation is observed along the Hg-T line. The dependence of Hg on the crystallographic direction and on the temperature are discussed by the thermal activation process of the 180° domain wall which is pinned strongly by the antiferromagnetic clusters below Tg. The anomaly of magnetization of Fe65Ni35 alloy can be interpreted by the macroscopic picture of the coexistence of ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic-like regions which may be caused by a statistical fluctuation of alloy composition.  相似文献

We have investigated the magnetic behavior of cobalt ferrite nanoparticles with a mean diameter of 7.2 nm. AC susceptibility of colloidal cobalt ferrite nanoparticles was measured as a function of temperature T from 2 to 300 K under zero external DC field for frequencies ranging from f=10 to 10,000 Hz. A prominent peak appears in both χ′ and χ″ as a function of T. The peak temperature T2 of χ″ depends on f following the Vogel–Fulcher law. The particles show superparamagnetic behavior at room temperature, with transition to a blocked state at TBm94 K in ZFC and 119 K in AC susceptibility measurements, respectively, which depends on the applied field. The saturation magnetization and the coercivity measured at 4.2 K are 27.3 emu/g and 14.7 kOe, respectively. The particle size distribution was determined by fitting a magnetization curve obtained at 295 K assuming a log-normal size distribution. The interparticle interactions are found to influence the energy barriers yielding an enhancement of the estimated magnetic anisotropy, K=6×106 erg/cm3. Mössbauer spectra obtained at higher temperatures show a gradual collapse of the magnetic hyperfine splitting typical for superparamagnetic relaxation. At 4.2 K, the Mössbauer spectrum was fitted with two magnetic subspectra with internal fields Hint of 490, 470 and 515 kOe, corresponding to Fe3+ ions in A and B sites.  相似文献
