The ideal topology on a integral domain R is the linear topology which has as a fundamental system of neighborhoods of 0 the nonzero ideals of R. We investigate the properties of the ideal topology on a Noetherian local domain (R, 𝔪), and we establish connections between the 𝔪-adic completion and the ideal completion. We give conditions under which the completion in the ideal topology is Noetherian, and we show that, unlike the 𝔪-adic completion, the completion in the ideal topology is not always Noetherian. 相似文献

For certain classes 𝒞 of R-modules, including singular modules or modules with locally Krull dimensions, it is investigated when every module in 𝒞 with a finitely generated essential submodule is finitely generated. In case 𝒞 = Mod-R, this means E(M)/M is Noetherian for any finitely generated module MR. Rings R with latter property are studied and shown that they form a class 𝒬 properly between the class of pure semisimple rings and the class of certain max rings. Duo rings in 𝒬 are precisely Artinian rings. If R is a quasi continuous ring in 𝒬 then R ? A ⊕ T where A is a semisimple Artinian ring and T ∈ 𝒬 with Z(TT) ≤ess TT. 相似文献

Let Λ be a left and right Noetherian ring. For a positive integer k, we give an equivalent condition that flat dimensions of the first k terms in the minimal injective resolution of Λ are less than or equal to k. In this case we show that the subcategory consisting of k-torsionfree modules is extension closed. Moreover we prove that for a Noetherian algebra every subcategory consisting of i-torsionfree modules is extension closed for any 1 ≤ i ≤ k if and only if every subcategory consisting of i-th syzygy modules is extension closed for any 1 ≤ i ≤ k. We present an optimal error estimate of the numerical velocity, pressure, and angular velocity for the fully discrete penalty finite element method of the micropolar equations when the parameters ?, Δ t, and h are sufficiently small. In this article we consider simple birational extensions of power series rings in one variable over one-dimensional Noetherian domains having infinitely many maximal ideals. For these rings we describe the partially ordered sets that arise as prime spectra. We characterize the prime spectra in the case that the coefficient rings are countable Dedekind domains. The prime spectra over Dedekind domains are the same as the prime spectra that arise for simple birational extensions of power series rings over the integers and the same as the prime spectra of simple birational extensions of k[[x]][z], where k is a countable field and x and z are indeterminates. 相似文献

We show that for any uniformly parabolic fully nonlinear second-order equation with bounded measurable “coefficients” and bounded “free” term in any cylindrical smooth domain with smooth boundary data one can find an approximating equation which has a unique continuous solution with the first derivatives bounded and the second spacial derivatives locally bounded. We establish the existence and uniqueness of solutions of fully nonlinear elliptic second-order equations like H(v, Dv, D 2 v, x) = 0 in smooth domains without requiring H to be convex or concave with respect to the second-order derivatives. Apart from ellipticity nothing is required of H at points at which |D 2 v| ≤K, where K is any given constant. We generalize Deddens' theorem for nest algebras in the case of w*-closed nest algebras bimodules. For each such bimodule, we introduce a norm closed sub-bimodule of it, which corresponds to the radical of a nest algebra and describe it in a number of ways, generalizing known facts about nest algebras.

Let D be a two-dimensional Noetherian domain, let R be an overring of D, and let Σ and Γ be collections of valuation overrings of D. We consider circumstances under which (VΣV)∩R=(WΓW)∩R implies that Σ=Γ. We show that if R is integrally closed, these representations are “strongly” irredundant, and every member of ΣΓ has Krull dimension 2, then Σ=Γ. If in addition Σ and Γ are Noetherian subspaces of the Zariski–Riemann space of the quotient field of D (e.g. if Σ and Γ have finite character), then the restriction that the members of ΣΓ have Krull dimension 2 can be omitted.
