In this article we consider simple birational extensions of power series rings in one variable over one-dimensional Noetherian domains having infinitely many maximal ideals. For these rings we describe the partially ordered sets that arise as prime spectra. We characterize the prime spectra in the case that the coefficient rings are countable Dedekind domains. The prime spectra over Dedekind domains are the same as the prime spectra that arise for simple birational extensions of power series rings over the integers and the same as the prime spectra of simple birational extensions of k[[x]][z], where k is a countable field and x and z are indeterminates.  相似文献

By testing quotient rings, we give another viewpoint concerning the relationship between PI and Goldie properties, etc., and f-radical extensions of rings. The main result proved here is as follows: Let R be a prime algebra without nonzero nil right ideals. Suppose that R is f-radical over a subalgebra A, where f(X 1,…, X t ) is a multilinear polynomial, not an identity for p × p matrices in case char R = p > 0. Suppose that f is not power-central valued in R. Then the maximal ring of right (left) quotients of A coincides with that of R. Moreover, R is right Goldie if and only if A is.  相似文献

本文研究了斜多项式环与微分多项式环的McCoy性质,证明了如果环R是α-compatible和可逆的,那么斜多项式R[x;α]是McCoy环当且仅当环R是McCoy环;同时我们也证明了如果环R是δ-compatible与可逆的,那么微分多项式环R[x;δ]是McCoy环当且仅当环R是McCoy环.因此本文对McCoy环的相关结论进行了推广.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate stable range conditions over extensions of matrix rings. It is shown that a ring R satisfies (s, 2)-stable range if and only if R has a complete orthogonal set {e 1,…, e n } of idempotents such that all e i Re i satisfy (s, 2)-stable range. Let R be a ring with an endomorphism α and an α-derivation δ. We introduce the notions of symmetric α-rings and weak symmetric α-rings which are generalizations of symmetric rings and weak symmetric rings, respectively, discuss the relations between symmetricα-rings and related rings and investigate their extensions. We prove that if R is a reduced ring and α(1) = 1, then R is a symmetric α-ring if and only if R[x]/(x n) is a symmetric ˉα-ring for any positive integer n. Moreover, it is proven that if R is a right Ore ring, α an automorphism of R and Q(R) the classical right quotient ring of R, then R is a symmetric α-ring if and only if Q(R) is a symmetric ˉα-ring. Among others we also show that if a ring R is weakly 2-primal and(α, δ)-compatible, then R is a weak symmetric α-ring if and only if the Ore extension R[x; α, δ] of R is a weak symmetric ˉα-ring.  相似文献

研究了环扩张下的Gorenstein平坦模型结构及其同伦范畴,设R≤S是满足一些条件的平坦扩张.我们证明了若f:M→N在S-模范畴的Gorenstein平坦模型结构中是上纤维化(纤维化,弱等价),则f:M→N在R-模范畴中亦如此;若R≤S是优越扩张,反过来也成立,即在优越扩张下Gorenstein平坦模型结构是不变的.进而,相关的稳定范畴是等价的,当且仅当对任意Gorenstein平坦S-模M,Coker(ηM)是平坦的,其中η表示S-模范畴和R-模范畴间的Quillen伴随函子的单位.  相似文献

For certain classes 𝒞 of R-modules, including singular modules or modules with locally Krull dimensions, it is investigated when every module in 𝒞 with a finitely generated essential submodule is finitely generated. In case 𝒞 = Mod-R, this means E(M)/M is Noetherian for any finitely generated module MR. Rings R with latter property are studied and shown that they form a class 𝒬 properly between the class of pure semisimple rings and the class of certain max rings. Duo rings in 𝒬 are precisely Artinian rings. If R is a quasi continuous ring in 𝒬 then R ? A ⊕ T where A is a semisimple Artinian ring and T ∈ 𝒬 with Z(TT) ≤ess TT.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

A (unital) extension R ? T of (commutative) rings is said to have FIP (respectively be a minimal extension) if there are only finitely many (respectively no) rings S such that R ? S ? T. Transfer results for the FIP property for extensions of Nagata rings are obtained, including the following fact: if R ? T is a (module-) finite minimal ring extension, then R(X)?T(X) also is a (module-) finite minimal ring extension. The assertion obtained by replacing “is a (module-) finite minimal ring extension” with “has FIP” is valid if R is an infinite field but invalid if R is a finite field. A generalization of the Primitive Element Theorem is obtained by characterizing, for any field (more generally, any artinian reduced ring) R, the ring extensions R ? T which have FIP; and, if R is any field K, by describing all possible structures of the (necessarily minimal) ring extensions appearing in any maximal chain of intermediate rings between K and any such T. Transfer of the FIP and “minimal extension” properties is given for certain pullbacks, with applications to constructions such as CPI-extensions. Various sufficient conditions are given for a ring extension of the form R ? R[u], with u a nilpotent element, to have or not have FIP. One such result states that if R is a residually finite integral domain that is not a field and u is a nilpotent element belonging to some ring extension of R, then R ? R[u] has FIP if and only if (0 : u) ≠ 0. The rings R having only finitely many unital subrings are studied, with complete characterizations being obtained in the following cases: char(R)>0; R an integral domain of characteristic 0; and R a (module-)finite extension of ? which is not an integral domain. In particular, a ring of the last-mentioned type has only finitely many unital subrings if and only if (?:R)≠0. Some results are also given for the residually FIP property.  相似文献
