We study the behaviour of the solutions of the Cauchy problem with discontinuous initial data for nonstandard linear partial differential equations modeling wave processes in periodic stratified media. Asymptotic formulas at large t are derived. An algorithm for solving the Maxwell equations for propagation of light through anisotropic stratified media is considered. The algorithm uses the Berreman matrices of order 4 × 4. In contrast to the numerical methods suggested by Berreman, the new method is exact. The Sylvester theorem for calculating functions of a matrix and the Laguerre method for determining eigenvalues provide the basis for an algorithm with an efficiency comparable to that of the algorithms based on analytic solutions, which exist only in the case of uniaxial media. The method suggested in this paper allows for the analysis of complex optical systems where the effects of biaxiality, magnetic anisotropy, and optical activity play an important role. 相似文献

The dispersive characteristic of the Rayleigh wave propagating in a stratified media was analyzed by a time-frequency analysis method, the Reassignment of Smooth Pseudo-Wigner Ville Distribution (RSPWVD). Theoretical simulations and experiments were implemented for a homogeneous half-space and a two-layered half-space. It is indicated that the group velocity dispersion curves in different frequency ranges obtained by experimental result are all corresponding to the dominant modes in their surface displacement amplitudes. Such a mode identification of the multi-mode Rayleigh waves is required in inversing the medium parameters. 相似文献

The accuracy of radar detection is measured in this paper through comparing the laser radar cross-section (LRCS) to RCS data for plane-wave incidence in free space. This is to study the performance of backscattering enhancement from conducting targets with finite size. LRCS is calculated using beam wave incidence propagating in a random medium. Targets are of large size with relatively complex cross-sections. E-wave polarization is assumed for incident waves in continuous random media with different spatial coherency. 相似文献

Sums of products of the Coulomb wave functions over degenerate manifolds have been obtained in a closed form. These sums appear in many atomic and molecular problems. The sums have been obtained making use of the properties of the Coulomb Green's function G(r, r('),E), in the limit E-->E(n), where E(n) is the eigenenergy of the hydrogenlike atomic ion. The closed Hostler-Pratt form of G in the coordinate representation has been used. The sums calculated are a consequence of the n degeneracy of the Coulomb atomic energy levels. This itself, as is well known, follows from the four-dimensional symmetry of the Coulomb problem for the hydrogen atom. 相似文献

The aim of the paper is to describe the physical phenomenon of the excitation of modal waves, such as Lamb waves, in anisotropic multilayered media by a monochromatic incident beam and then by a time depending signal. A modal beam is generated in the structure and, due to the anisotropy of the media constituting the structure, is deviated with respect to the sagittal plane of the incident bounded beam. Using a stationary phase approach, it is possible to determine the deviation direction of the modal beam in the far field at a given frequency. This direction is normal to the modal curve, at the point corresponding to the main modal wave vector. Using Lagrange multipliers, it is possible to obtain the equation of an oblique plane in which the modal beam reradiates in the external fluid. As the modal waves are dispersive, the group velocity and the direction of propagation of the principal modal wave vary with the frequency. So, in the far field, for a time depending signal, the different monochromatic components of the main modal wave are found in different directions. In general, the main crest line of this modal wave packet is not a straight line. 相似文献

A parameter study of electromagnetic wave propagating through the air-chiro ferrite inter face and through a chiro ferrite slab is presented, and such bianisotropic medium can be made from chiral and gyrotropic ferrite materials artifically. The partial differential equations of the fourth order defining the field components Ey and Hy in chiroferrite are derived. The influence of different constitutive parameters on the transmission coefficients and refraction angles of transmitted fields are demonstrated. In this paper, a novel image encryption algorithm is presented based on self-cited pixel summation. With the classical mechanism of permutation plus diffusion, a pixel summation of the plain image is employed to make a gravity influence on the pixel positions in the permutation stage. Then, for each pixel in every step of the diffusion stage, the pixel summation calculated from the permuted image is updated. The values from a chaotic sequence generated by an intertwining logistic map are selected by this summation. Consequently, the keystreams generated in both stages are dependent on both the plain image and the permuted image. Because of the sensitivity of the chaotic map to its initial conditions and the plain-image-dependent keystreams, any tiny change in the secret key or the plain image would lead to a significantly different cipher image. As a result, the proposed encryption algorithm is immune to the known plaintext attack (KPA) and the chosen plaintext attack (CPA). Moreover, experimental simulations and security analyses show that the proposed permutation-diffusion encryption scheme can achieve a satisfactory level of security. 相似文献

The nonlinear progressive wave equation (NPE) [McDonald and Kuperman, J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 81, 1406-1417 (1987)] is expressed in a form to accommodate changes in the ambient atmospheric density, pressure, and sound speed as the time-stepping computational window moves along a path possibly traversing significant altitude differences (in pressure scale heights). The modification is accomplished by the addition of a stratification term related to that derived in the 1970s for linear range-stepping calculations and later adopted into Khokhlov-Zabolotskaya-Kuznetsov-type nonlinear models. The modified NPE is shown to preserve acoustic energy in a ray tube and yields analytic similarity solutions for vertically propagating N waves in isothermal and thermally stratified atmospheres. 相似文献

The propagation and scattering of light in stratified media are considered. Based on the Maxwell equations, the present approaches to the solution of these problems are formulated in a unified way. The particular features of the wave propagation in stratified media are discussed. Scalar and vector fields are considered. Media with small-and large-scale regular inhomogeneities are examined. The construction of the Green’s function of the wave equation in a spatially homogeneous medium is discussed. Stratified isotropic and anisotropic media are analyzed. The scattering of light in a stratified medium is studied with emphasis on the Kirchhoff method, as this makes it possible to obtain calculation formulas in a form convenient for comparing the theory with the experiment. The propagation of waves in photonic crystals and the formation of forbidden zones in such objects are briefly considered. 相似文献
