文章首先对两路相互独立Rayleigh衰落信道的选择性合并方法的中断概率及差分、相干检测误码率的性能进行了分析,在此基础上进一步分析了两路相关Rayleigh衰落信道下的选择性合并方法的中断概率及差分、相干检测的误码率的性能,并仿真出了各种情况下的性能曲线。最后,给出了四路选择性合并方法的具体实现电路。  相似文献

We extend some previous results on adaptive receivers with memory for slow nonselective Rayleigh fading channels to the case of diversity reception. The Bayes receiver in this case is shown to be a generalized maximal ratio combiner. Error probability performance is obtained for antipodal signals such as BPSK. A simple performance upper bound is also derived. Numerical performance results are presented for the particular case of a Markov channel model.  相似文献

This paper gives an evaluation of the performance of adaptive signaling techniques for jammed fading channels. These techniques perform remarkably well for fading channels with AWGN. The performance of both uncoded and coded systems is examined in the presence of jamming. Adaptive signaling schemes are shown to offer little improvement for uncoded antijam systems. However, for coded antijam systems, they provide improvements in the performance and, in some cases, simplify the receiver implementation.  相似文献

Employing a cross-layer approach, the explicit relationships between the fading channel characteristics and the significant teletraffic variables as well as the performance metrics in wireless network evaluation are formulated. In particular, the channel holding time, handoff probability, handoff call arrival rate, call blocking probability, call completion probability, and forced termination probability are developed, taking into account the carrier frequency (or equivalently wavelength), maximum Doppler frequency, and fade margin. In addition, the set of formulas are derived with the generalized assumptions for the call holding time and cell residence time. The analytical model has been validated by the simulation with the conventional exponential model and, additionally, the relaxed models for call holding time and cell residence time, e.g., Erlang and hyper-Erlang. The comparison demonstrates that the traditional result without considering the fading channel characteristics leads to substantially overestimated call blocking probability and call completion probability. The methodology presented in this paper provides a feasible manner for the wireless network cross-layer design and optimization.  相似文献

Spectrum sensing is the important function of cognitive radio and energy detection is the most popular technique used for spectrum sensing. Detection of the availability of unused spectrum for the secondary user becomes difficult when the channel is affected by composite multipath/shadowed fading. In this paper, the performance analysis of an Energy Detector in Hoyt/gamma composite fading channel with Maximum Ratio Combining employing micro-diversity is analyzed. Analytical expressions for performance parameters, i.e., the average probability of detection and the average area under the receiver operating characteristics curve are evaluate. The effect of diversity on the performance of energy detector is also studied. Monte-Carlo simulation results have verified the accuracy of the proposed analysis.  相似文献

In this paper, we evaluate the performance of two dual-branch diversity techniques operating over the α?μ fading channel in presence of a dominant co-channel interferer with a minimum desired signal power constraint. These two diversity schemes are selection combining and switch-and-stay combining. We derive expressions for the outage probability in both cases, which are very simple to calculate numerically using the commercially available mathematical packages. The obtained expressions are valid for integer values of the parameter μ and, in many special cases, they reduce to either a closed form or to expressions with finite-limit integrals that can also be easily evaluated. Also, our expressions reduce to previously published well-known results for the Rayleigh as well as the Weibull fading channels as special cases. We present a set of numerical results which show the effect of fading severity of both the desired signal and the interferer on the performance.  相似文献

In this paper, the performance of amplify-and-forward (AF) cooperative diversity is analyzed over asymmetric fading channels. The source–relay and the relay–destination links experience Rayleigh fading while the source–destination link is subject to generalized Gamma fading. First, the probability density function (PDF) and the moment generating function (MGF) of the source–relay–destination link and the MGF of the source–destination link are derived. Then, the symbol error rate (SER) is determined based on the MGF of the total end-to-end signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Moreover, the SER performance of N-relay assisted AF cooperative diversity is illustrated for M-ary phase shift keying (M-PSK) and M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (M-QAM). Based on the derived MGF expressions, the numerical results are obtained by varying the modulation types and channel parameters for different scenarios.  相似文献

The performance and optimization of switched diversity systems are considered. First, the one-dimensional distribution and probability density functions of the envelope of the received signal are obtained for three different switching strategies. This information is used to obtain the average probability of bit error for the case of non-coherent detection of binary FSK signals with Rayleigh fading envelopes and additive white Gaussian noise. The optimization of two of these switching strategies is then considered, and it is shown that by proper selection of switching thresholds, the average probability of bit error during detection can be minimized. It is also shown that these optimized switching strategies yield a significant improvement in performance over non-diversity systems and can approach the performance of more complex receivers such as maximal ratio combining. Computer simulations of switched diversity systems using a practical field model are used to verify the analysis.  相似文献

In this paper we derive closed-form expressions for the single-user adaptive capacity of generalized selection combining (GSC) system, taking into account the effect of imperfect channel estimation at the receiver. The channel considered is a slowly varying spatially independent flat Rayleigh fading channel. The complex channel estimate and the actual channel are modelled as jointly Gaussian random variables with a correlation that depends on the estimation quality. Three adaptive transmission schemes are analyzed: (1) optimal power and rate adaptation; and (2) constant power with optimal rate adaptation, and (3) channel inversion with fixed rate. In addition to deriving an exact expression for the capacity of the aforementioned adaptive schemes, we analyze the impact of channel estimation error on the capacity statistics and the symbol error rate for GSC systems. The capacity statistics derived in this paper are the moment generating function, complementary cumulative distribution function and probability density function for arbitrary number of receive antennas. Moreover, exact closed-form expressions for M-PAM/PSK/QAM employing GSC are derived. As expected, the channel estimation error has a significant impact on the system performance.  相似文献

Based on an alternative expression for Q-function, a simple bit error rate expression is derived in this paper for multicarrier code division multiple access systems with maximal ratio combining in correlated Nakagami-q channels. Furthermore, in this paper, we derive bounds on the probability of error and ergodic capacity of spatially multiplexed MC-CDM systems with zero forcing unified successive interference cancellation technique. Closed-form expressions for Capacities per unit bandwidth and Outage probability using optimal power and rate adaptation policy are derived and plotted. Asymptotic approximations and upper bounds on spectrum efficiency are also derived and plotted. Numerical results for Symbol Error Rate are also derived and plotted using MATLAB.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a comparative analysis on the effects of channel estimation errors on the performance of optimum and suboptimum selection diversity (SD) receivers on Rayleigh-fading channels. By modeling the estimation errors as independent complex Gaussian random variables, we derive simple closed-form expressions for the average probability of error for both optimum and suboptimum SD schemes with noisy channel estimates. With dual diversity and imperfect estimates, we establish a connection between optimum SD and maximal-ratio combining (MRC), and between suboptimum SD and equal-gain combining diversity schemes. Interestingly, we show that the optimum SD receiver structure and the resulting performance for differential binary coherent phase-shift keying (DBPSK) signaling can be obtained, in a straightforward way, as a special case of the performance of the optimum SD scheme with binary PSK signaling and channel estimation errors. For a fixed average power and bit duration, in conjunction with pilot-assisted minimum mean-square error channel estimation, we show that the optimum coherent SD scheme coincides with that of the optimum noncoherent SD scheme with binary frequency-shift keying (BFSK) signaling, whereas the coherent MRC scheme coincides with the optimum noncoherent receiver (i.e., the square-law combiner) for BFSK. The optimum number of diversity channels, under an energy-sharing mode of operation, is also studied. Finally, we formulate the problem of optimal pilot placement, consider channel estimation with a practical pilot-symbol-assisted modulation technique, and present some numerical results illustrating the comparative performances of various SD receivers  相似文献

Both adaptive modulation and diversity combining represent important enabling techniques for future generations of wireless communication systems. In this paper, capitalizing on recent developments in adaptive combining, we propose three joint adaptive modulation and diversity combining (AMDC) schemes. With these schemes, the modulation mode and diversity combiner structure are adaptively determined based on the fading channel condition and error-rate requirement. We accurately analyze these three AMDC schemes in terms of processing power consumption, spectral efficiency, and error-rate performance. Selected numerical examples show that the proposed AMDC systems meet the target error-rate requirement while achieving high spectral efficiency with low processing power consumption  相似文献

The performance of diversity and/or coding is evaluated for FH/MFSK signaling over Rayleigh fading channels in the presence of jamming. The effects of partial-band tone and partial-band noise jamming on uncoded and coded systems are considered. The results indicate that FH/MFSK signaling with diversity provides satisfactory performance for jammed fading channels. For coded FH/MFSK signaling over fading channels, noise jamming may be more effective than tone jamming. The amount of improvement resulting from the use of diversity in conjunction with coding depends upon many factors, including the nature of the channel, the degree of channel state information available at the decoder, the type of decoding, and the modulation alphabet size.  相似文献

Vehicle to everything (V2X) communication supports vehicle to anything communication for vehicle safety and cooperative Intelligent Transport System in vehicular environments. IEEE 802.11p modem has been developed and applied for V2X communication system. V2X radio channel has multipath fast fading due to moving vehicles and surrounded road structure. We proposed a new DFCE-AD which combines DFCE and antenna diversity for OFDM reception and analyzed the performance improvement in multipath fading channel. Through computer simulation, SNR gain of DFCE-AD over DFCE for QPSK modulation is approximately 6 dB at PER?=?10%. In other word, PER of DFCE-AD is improved over that of DFCE by about 20% at SNR?=?10 dB. This result will be applied for the short sized packet and low order OFDM modulation in vehicular multipath fading channel.

This paper proposes a new switched MIMO system where the MIMO includes both diversity-based MIMO and spatial multiplexing MIMO (SM-MIMO). The proposed scheme is a closed-loop system where the feedback bits are sent back to the transmitter to indicate the channel quality. The switching operation is employed among groups of a certain number of transmit antennas. For diversity-based MIMO systems, the switching operation aims to improve the link performance, while the goal of the switching for the SM-MIMO systems is to increase the data rate. The authors analyze and optimize the proposed systems and show that there is considerable benefit in terms of performance and practical use  相似文献

线性正交分集变换(LDRT)是近来提出的一种有效的抗衰落技术,本文对线性分集变换在莱斯衰落信道中的性能进行了分析研究,当信号调制选用QPSK时,计算机仿真结果:在误码率为10^-4条件下,信道参数K等于0dB时,LDRT处理增中达21dB;随着K的增大,相应的处理增益减小,当K=10dB时,经过LDRT后的性能对高斯信道的性能只相关1dB,另外对分集矩阵的阶数L对系统误比特性能的影响进行了分析讨论  相似文献

This letter analyzes the performance of cooperative diversity wireless networks using amplify-and-forward relaying over independent, non-identical, Nakagami-m fading channels. The error rate and the outage probability are determined using the moment generating function (MGF) of the total signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) at the destination. Since it is hard to find a closed form for the probability density function (PDF) of the total SNR, we use an approximate value instead. We first derive the PDF and the MGF of the approximate value of the total SNR. Then, the MGF is used to determine the error rate and the outage probability. We also use simulation to verify the analytical results. Results show that the derived error rate and outage probability are tight lower bounds particularly at medium and high SNR  相似文献
