一、前言光衰减器是在七十年代后期随着光纤通信发展而发展起来的一种光纤无源器件,其作用是在各种光纤传输系统中代替不同长度的光缆或光纤来对系统进行调整、校正和测量。国内最早问世的光衰减器是1982年本所研制成功的GS825G型固定式光衰减器。但每只固定式光衰减器只有一个固定的衰减量,对于需要经常改变衰减量来进行系统调试和测量的场合就感到很不方便。为此,我们从1983年起又开展了衰减量可以调动的可变式光衰减器的研制。 相似文献

根据光纤包层中的倏逝场机制,将具有热光效应的聚合物材料直接覆盖在侧边抛磨光纤上,进行了全光纤热光型可变光衰减器(VOA)的研究.根据理论分析,确定了在侧边抛磨光纤的抛磨区上覆盖材料的折射率与纤芯中光衰减量之间的关系,为选择适当折射率的热光材料提供依据.设计适当的侧边抛磨区,利用先进的轮式侧边抛磨技术,制备了侧边抛磨光纤,以达到最佳可变光衰减效果.采用螺绕电极和优化封装,制作出性能优良的全光纤热光型可变光衰减器.性能测试表明,器件插入损耗小于0.1 dB,衰减范围为0~80 dB,偏振相关损耗小于0.02 dB,背向反射大于70 dB.该方法制作的全光纤热光型可变光衰减器具有可用电驱动调控、可靠性高等优点. 相似文献

To overcome the need for large buffers to store contending bursts in optical burst switched (OBS) networks, a recent variant called time-sliced OBS (TSOBS) suggested that bursts be sliced and spread across multiple frames of fixed-length time-slots. Since TSOBS is rigid in its frame structure, this paper generalises TSOBS to allow a hierarchy of frames. Termed hierarchical TSOBS (HiTSOBS), this scheme supports several granularities of rates, and permits multiple traffic classes with different loss-delay requirements to efficiently share the network. Our contributions are as follows: first, we present an architecture for HiTSOBS and offer it as a viable option for the realisation of flexible and cost-effective OBS networks. Second, we develop mathematical analysis to study the loss and delay performance of the proposed HiTSOBS system. Finally, we present simulation results that captures these loss-delay tradeoff values. Our HiTSOBS architecture gives network operators the freedom to choose the right mix of traffic with desired loss-delay requirements to coexist in the network. 相似文献

Thermally induced optical fiber shifts in the joints consisting of an optical fiber, epoxy adhesive and silicon substrate were simulated using a FEA (finite element analysis) package. Experiments using a real-time micro-moiré system were also performed at temperatures of 25, 40, 60, 85 and 100 °C for confirmation of the FEA results. The optical coupling loss, caused by the fiber shifts, of a single-mode fiber to fiber and a laser diode to a fiber was studied. The results revealed that thermally induced fiber shifts increased with the number of V-groove channels. The optical coupling loss is the greatest during thermal loading for the outer fiber in the four channels V-groove array. Optical losses of 0.334 and 0.346 dB for fiber-to-fiber coupling and 1.54 and 1.56 dB for laser diode to fiber coupling were calculated using the fiber shift values obtained from the FEA and experiments, respectively, for the outermost fiber joint in the four channels V-groove array at 100 °C. The effects of fiber shifts especially the shift of the fiber that is positioned at the outermost V-groove in the array cannot be ignored. 相似文献
