The problem of identifying dynamical models on the basis of measurement data is usually considered in a classical open-loop or closed-loop setting. In this paper, this problem is generalized to dynamical systems that operate in a complex interconnection structure and the objective is to consistently identify the dynamics of a particular module in the network. For a known interconnection structure it is shown that the classical prediction error methods for closed-loop identification can be generalized to provide consistent model estimates, under specified experimental circumstances. Two classes of methods considered in this paper are the direct method and the joint-IO method that rely on consistent noise models, and indirect methods that rely on external excitation signals like two-stage and IV methods. Graph theoretical tools are presented to verify the topological conditions under which the several methods lead to consistent module estimates.  相似文献

It is well known that channel-dependent OFDMA resource assignment algorithms provide a significant performance improvement compared to static (i.e., channel-unaware) approaches. Such dynamic algorithms constantly adapt resource assignments to current channel states according to some objective function. Due to these dynamics, it is difficult to predict the resulting performance for such schemes given a certain scenario (characterized by the number of terminals in the cell and their average channel gains). In this paper we provide a novel, analytical framework for performance prediction, which takes dynamic power and subcarrier allocation into account. The analysis is based on fundamental transformations of the channel gains caused by the dynamic subcarrier allocations. This insight allows for deriving probability functions of the achieved rate per subcarrier which ultimately yields expressions for the expected minimal rates as well as outage probabilities for certain rate demands. Hence, the methods presented in this paper for performance prediction can be employed for admission control in systems with dynamic resource allocation. We illustrate the applicability of our derivations with respect to the capacity of 802.16e systems for Voice-over-IP and video streams. The results demonstrate a significant improvement compared to state-of-the art approaches but also reveal room for improvement of this approach compared to the optimal system performance.  相似文献

The most promising methods for identifying a fuzzy model are data clustering, cluster merging and subsequent projection of the clusters on the input variable space. This article proposes to modify this procedure by adding a cluster rotation step, and a method for the direct calculation of the consequence parameters of the fuzzy linear model. These two additional steps make the model identification procedure more accurate and limits the loss of information during the identification procedure. The proposed method has been tested on a nonlinear first order model and a nonlinear model of a bioreactor and results are very promising.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a parametric and a non-parametric identification algorithm for dynamic errors-in-variables model. We show that the two-dimensional process composed of the input-output data admits a finite order ARMA representation. The non-parametric method uses the ARMA structure to compute a consistent estimate of the joint spectrum of the input and the output. A Frisch scheme is then employed to extract an estimate of the joint spectrum of the noise free input-output data, which in turn is used to estimate the transfer function of the system. The parametric method exploits the ARMA structure to give estimates of the system parameters. The performances of the algorithms are illustrated using the results obtained from a numerical simulation study.  相似文献

A novel approach (recursive matrix method), which is used for kinematic and dynamic analysis of a 3-DOF parallel mechanism with revolute actuators, is established in this paper. The active links of the mechanism are actuated by three electric motors and have three independent motions. Knowing the evolution of movable platform, first we develop the positions, velocities and accelerations of all elements of the mechanism. An inverse dynamic problem is solved using the principle of virtual work. Finally, recursive relations and graphs for the torques of three actuators are determined. In this work we present the discrete models for dynamic fracture of structures built of brittle materials. The models construction is based on Voronoi cell representation of the heterogeneous structure, with the beam lattice network used to model the cohesive and compressive forces between the neighboring cells. Each lattice component is a geometrically exact shear deformable beam which can describe large rigid body motion and the most salient fracture mechanisms. The latter can be represented through the corresponding form of the beam constitutive equations, which are derived either at microscale with random distribution of material properties or at a mesoscale with average deterministic values. The proposed models are also placed within the framework of dynamics, where special attention is paid to constructing the lattice network mass matrix as well as the corresponding time-stepping schemes. Numerical simulations of compression and bending tests is given to illustrate the models performance.  相似文献

Many model-based investigation techniques, such as sensitivity analysis, optimization, and statistical inference, require a large number of model evaluations to be performed at different input and/or parameter values. This limits the application of these techniques to models that can be implemented in computationally efficient computer codes. Emulators, by providing efficient interpolation between outputs of deterministic simulation models, can considerably extend the field of applicability of such computationally demanding techniques. So far, the dominant techniques for developing emulators have been priors in the form of Gaussian stochastic processes (GASP) that were conditioned with a design data set of inputs and corresponding model outputs. In the context of dynamic models, this approach has two essential disadvantages: (i) these emulators do not consider our knowledge of the structure of the model, and (ii) they run into numerical difficulties if there are a large number of closely spaced input points as is often the case in the time dimension of dynamic models. To address both of these problems, a new concept of developing emulators for dynamic models is proposed. This concept is based on a prior that combines a simplified linear state space model of the temporal evolution of the dynamic model with Gaussian stochastic processes for the innovation terms as functions of model parameters and/or inputs. These innovation terms are intended to correct the error of the linear model at each output step. Conditioning this prior to the design data set is done by Kalman smoothing. This leads to an efficient emulator that, due to the consideration of our knowledge about dominant mechanisms built into the simulation model, can be expected to outperform purely statistical emulators at least in cases in which the design data set is small. The feasibility and potential difficulties of the proposed approach are demonstrated by the application to a simple hydrological model.  相似文献

ContextQuality of Service (QoS) is a major issue in various web service related activities. Quality models have been proposed as the engineering artefact to provide a common framework of understanding for QoS, by defining the quality factors that apply to web service usage.ObjectiveThe goal of this study is to evaluate the current state of the art of the proposed quality models for web services, specifically: (1) which are these proposals and how are they related; (2) what are their structural characteristics; (3) what quality factors are the most and least addressed; and (4) what are their most consolidated definitions.MethodWe have conducted a systematic mapping by defining a robust protocol that combines automatic and manual searches from different sources. We used a rigorous method to elicitate the keywords from the research questions and a selection criteria to retrieve the final papers to evaluate. We have adopted the ISO/IEC 25010 standard to articulate our analysis.ResultsWe have evaluated 47 different quality models from 65 papers that fulfilled the selection criteria. By analyzing in depth these quality models, we have: (1) distributed the proposals along the time dimension and identified their relationships; (2) analyzed their size (visualizing the number of nodes and levels) and definition coverage (as indicator of quality of the proposals); (3) quantified the coverage of the different ISO/IEC 25010 quality factors by the proposals; (4) identified the quality factors that appeared in at least 30% of the surveyed proposals and provided the most consolidated definitions for them.ConclusionsWe believe that this panoramic view on the anatomy of the quality models for web services may be a good reference for prospective researchers and practitioners in the field and especially may help avoiding the definition of new proposals that do not align with current research.  相似文献

This paper presents a new approach to solve dynamic traffic assignment problems. The approach employs a mixed method of real-time simulation and off-line optimization. The fundamental approach to the simulation is systolic parallel processing based on autonomous agent modeling. Agents continuously act on their own initiatives and access to database to get the status of the simulation world. In particular, existing models and algorithms were incorporated in designing the behavior of relevant agents such as car-following and headway distribution. Simulation is based on predetermined routes between centroids that are computed off-line by a conventional optimal path-finding algorithm such as the Frank-Wolf algorithm. Iterating the cycles of optimization and simulation, the proposed system will provide a practical and valuable traffic assignment. Gangnam-Gu district in Seoul, Korea is selected as the target area for the modeling. It is expected that real-time traffic assignment services can be provided on the Internet soon.  相似文献

The evaluation and prediction of parallel programs performance are becoming more and more important, so that they require appropriate techniques to identify the factors which influence the application execution time and also the way they interact. In this paper, we present some contributions of our research in this area by describing PEMPIs, a new methodology applied to the performance analysis and prediction of MPI programs. A new task graph helps us both to understand details of the application and to increase the accuracy of the prediction models. The proposed techniques are detailed and tested through the modeling of a complete application. PEMPIs efficiency has been proved by the results of this application modeling—most tests executed in a cluster of computers showed errors up to 10.  相似文献

随着嵌入式技术的不断发展,越来越多的平台采用异构多核处理器(Heterogeneous Multi-Processor Unit,HMPU)进行高性能计算,但多核处理器的核间通信效率严格地制约着系统的高性能计算能力。针对HMPU的核间通信性能难以量化的问题,提出了基于通信粒度、通信缓存和消息传输机制的阶段评价模型,并通过实验验证了这3个影响因子对不同阶段的核间通信性能的影响。此外,由于嵌入式系统环境多变、资源有限,使得静态通信策略对系统性能优化具有局限性。针对该问题,提出了基于系统内存约束、时间约束和性能目标的动态通信策略优化模型(Dynamic Communication Strategy Optimization Model,DCSOM)。通过实验证明:在数据量较小、通信周期较长的异构多核处理器中,DCSOM更具优越性。  相似文献

Leaf area index (LAI) is a key variable for the understanding of several eco-physiological processes within a vegetation canopy. The LAI could thus provide vital information for the management of the environment and agricultural practices when estimated continuously over time and space thanks to remote sensing sensors.This study proposed a method to estimate LAI spatial and temporal variation based on multi-temporal remote sensing observations processed using a simple semi-mechanistic canopy structure dynamic model (CSDM) coupled with a radiative transfer model (RTM). The CSDM described the temporal evolution of the LAI as function of the accumulated daily air temperature as measured from classical ground meteorological stations.The retrieval performances were evaluated for two different data sets: first, a data set simulated by the RTM but taking into account realistic measurement conditions and uncertainties resulting from different error sources; second, an experimental data set acquired over maize crops the Blue Earth City area (USA) in 1998. Results showed that the proposed approach improved significantly the retrieval performances for LAI mainly by smoothing the residual errors associated to each individual observation. In addition it provides a way to describe in a continuous manner the LAI time course from a limited number of observations during the growth cycle.  相似文献

In this paper we present results on the twin subjects of system analysis and system identification for a class of state-space realizable dynamic systems under the influence of hysteresis. The class of systems in question consists of models in the form of a linear time-invariant dynamic system in series with a differential model of hysteresis. It will be demonstrated that under fairly light constraints on the differential model of hysteresis, it is possible to design a series of experiments leading towards the identification of the full state-space realization. The approach is tested successfully on a high-precision mechanical translation system affected by hysteresis.  相似文献

We propose Chunks and Tasks, a parallel programming model built on abstractions for both data and work. The application programmer specifies how data and work can be split into smaller pieces, chunks and tasks, respectively. The Chunks and Tasks library maps the chunks and tasks to physical resources. In this way we seek to combine user friendliness with high performance. An application programmer can express a parallel algorithm using a few simple building blocks, defining data and work objects and their relationships. No explicit communication calls are needed; the distribution of both work and data is handled by the Chunks and Tasks library. This makes efficient implementation of complex applications that require dynamic distribution of work and data easier. At the same time, Chunks and Tasks imposes restrictions on data access and task dependencies that facilitate the development of high performance parallel back ends. We discuss the fundamental abstractions underlying the programming model, as well as performance, determinism, and fault resilience considerations. We also present a pilot C++ library implementation for clusters of multicore machines and demonstrate its performance for irregular block-sparse matrix–matrix multiplication.  相似文献

A two-stage algorithm for identification of nonlinear dynamic systems   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
This paper investigates the two-stage stepwise identification for a class of nonlinear dynamic systems that can be described by linear-in-the-parameters models, and the model has to be built from a very large pool of basis functions or model terms. The main objective is to improve the compactness of the model that is obtained by the forward stepwise methods, while retaining the computational efficiency. The proposed algorithm first generates an initial model using a forward stepwise procedure. The significance of each selected term is then reviewed at the second stage and all insignificant ones are replaced, resulting in an optimised compact model with significantly improved performance. The main contribution of this paper is that these two stages are performed within a well-defined regression context, leading to significantly reduced computational complexity. The efficiency of the algorithm is confirmed by the computational complexity analysis, and its effectiveness is demonstrated by the simulation results.  相似文献
