In this paper we consider a cell-free massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system which is composed of a large number of access points (APs) and a much smaller number of users. Each AP obtains the channel estimate from the uplink pilot and apply maximum ratio transmission in the downlink communication. Under the assumptions that the channels between the APs and users are Rician fading and the number of users is larger than that of orthogonal pilots, we derive the closed-form expression for the downlink achievable rate. Then, in order to maximize the achievable rate, we propose pilot allocation and power control algorithms for cell-free massive MIMO. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithms can achieve good system performance.

Spatial Scheduling With Interference Cancellation in Multiuser MIMO Systems   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
This paper proposes a novel downlink spatial scheduling algorithm in multiuser multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) systems, which selects a good combination of terminals and base station's (BS's) transmit beams so that the BS's beams nullify interstream interference at the selected terminals. In the derivation process, we reveal the new property that the optimization problem of downlink spatial scheduling is equivalent to that of uplink scheduling under the BS's zero-forcing beamforming. Using this property, an efficient downlink scheduling algorithm is presented, applying the principle of an uplink scheduling algorithm. Numerical results show that the presented spatial scheduling achieves a much higher system throughput than a multiuser MIMO system without spatial scheduling or with conventional spatial scheduling by linear processing. We also present a realistic control structure to achieve the uplink and downlink spatial scheduling in time-division duplex systems.  相似文献

分析了主动攻击下的多组多播集中式大规模多输入多输出(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output,MIMO)系统的安全性能。基于上行导频训练估计的信道状态信息,系统采用功率限制下的共轭波束成形方案实现下行多播传输。通过分析合法用户安全速率的下界和窃听者信息速率的上界,得到了系统安全速率下界的闭合表达式。进一步,推导出基站天线数趋于无穷大情况下此安全传输系统能获取的极限安全速率。实验仿真验证了所得结果的正确性。  相似文献

This paper addresses the problem of channel estimation in a multiuser multi-cell wireless communications system in which the base station (BS) is equipped with a very large number of antennas (also referred to as “massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO)”). We consider a time-division duplexing (TDD) scheme, in which reciprocity between the uplink and downlink channels can be assumed. Channel estimation is essential for downlink beamforming in massive MIMO, nevertheless, the pilot contamination effect hinders accurate channel estimation, which leads to overall performance degradation. Benefitted from the asymptotic orthogonality between signal and interference subspaces for non-overlapping angle-of arrivals (AOAs) in the large-scale antenna system, we propose a multiple signals classification (MUSIC) based channel estimation algorithm during the uplink transmission. Analytical and numerical results verify complete pilot decontamination and the effectiveness of the proposed channel estimation algorithm in the multiuser multi-cell massive MIMO system.  相似文献

The quality of channel state information (CSI) affects the performance of multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems which employ multi-elements antenna arrays at both the transmitter and the receiver. In a time division duplex (TDD) systems, the CSI for downlink can be obtained from uplink channel using reciprocity principal. However, the performance of a MIMO system can be degraded due to channel impairments especially in fast fading scenarios when the CSI obtained from uplink is used for downlink transmission. In this paper, we study performance of autoregressive (AR) modeling based MIMO channel prediction under varying channel propagation conditions (mobile speed, multipath number and angle spread) and prediction filter order. Our simulation results show that using the predicted CSI for downlink provides capacity improvement compared to conventional method.  相似文献

针对大规模多输入多输出(MIMO)系统中存在的导频污染问题,该文提出一种动态导频分配方案。所提方案利用目标小区与干扰小区用户之间的信号干扰强度差将干扰小区分为Uin和Uout两类,并对Uin中的用户进行最优导频分配,Uout中的用户进行随机导频分配来提升系统的平均下行可达和速率。同时,在存在额外正交导频组的情况下对所提方案做了进一步优化。仿真结果表明,所提的动态导频分配方案能够有效地提升大规模MIMO系统的性能。  相似文献

Training sequence is used in multiple antenna systems to estimate channel state information and mitigate channel distortion between transmitter and receiver. However, the training sequence or pilot must be limited to a certain size in order to reduce the impact of overhead loss due to limited channel coherence length in mobile users. In this paper, we proposed to use training size optimization in cell-free massive MIMO system. In addition, we proposed and compared the performance of different training size optimization algorithms, namely exhaustive search optimization, bisection optimization and min–max optimization, with each method has different level of calculation complexities. The results showed that in general, all of the 3 training length optimization methods improved the downlink rate compared to the conventional pilot length method. We also showed that the training optimization methods are more effective when the coherence length is small or the number of users is very large. In the case of large number of users or small coherence length, the exhaustive search has the best median downlink rate, followed closely by min–max optimum and finally the bisection method. Even though the exhaustive search optimization has the best downlink rate, we showed that the proposed reduce optimization complexity methods has significantly less calculation complexity. In addition, the median downlink rate performance of min–max optimization method is only slightly less than that of the exhaustive search method for various number of users and coherence length.

考虑一种多用户MIMO的传输设计,配置发射天线阵列和接收天线阵列的蜂窝基站可以工作在带内全双工传输模式。在该全双工通信方案中,基站的下行发射信号对基站的上行接收产生显著的干扰,即自干扰。这里,下行预编码处理和上行发射协方差矩阵处理将被依次进行,以简化全双工的设计。其次,为了进一步改善上、下行信道的和速率性能,我们提出一种尝试性的下行用户选择方案,其基本思想是:当某一个下行用户的信道矩阵的范数较小时,关闭该下行用户的数据流。计算机仿真结果表明,在基站下行总发射功率受限时,在低的和中等的下行信噪比区域,用户选择有助于提高下行和速率;在高的上行信噪比区域,简化的用户选择使得上行和速率明显提高。   相似文献

针对高速移动场景下大规模多输入多输出(MIMO)上行通信系统,推导了时变莱斯衰落信道中信道老化时大规模MIMO上行通信系统的可达和速率表达式,并且分析了信道老化对系统功率缩放准则的影响.理论分析与仿真结果表明,在时变莱斯信道中,每个用户的发送功率按照1/M进行缩放,信道老化仅会引起系统可达和速率的降低,而莱斯因子对系统可达和速率及功率缩放准则均有影响,且信道老化对系统可达和速率的影响较莱斯因子的影响可以忽略不计.  相似文献

In view of multicell downlink time division multiplexing (TDD) massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems which had imperfect channel state information (CSI),the beamforming problem that minimized the total transmit power and signal leakage power based on quality of service (QoS) was studied.First,the objective problem was approximated as a standard convex optimization problem.Then,by using the duality of uplink and downlink,an inner and outer layer iterative algorithm was proposed.Numerical results show that,comparing with other typical downlink multicell massive MIMO beamforming algorithms,the proposed algorithm has obvious advantages in terms of complexity and energy efficiency.  相似文献

This paper proposes a code division multiple access (CDMA) time division duplex (TDD) system for wireless multimedia services with traffic unbalance between uplink and downlink. In the proposed system, the number of uplink time slots in a TDD frame differs from that of downlink. Moreover, the difference can be reset by the network operator according to the traffic pattern. We evaluate the performance of the proposed system under multimedia environment using Markov analysis and computer simulation. The results show that the frequency utilization is maximized even when the uplink and downlink traffic volumes are unbalanced. This, in turn, reduces drastically the blocking rate of multimedia calls (connections) in the proposed system compared with that in the traditional CDMA systems where the uplink and downlink use equal bandwidth  相似文献

In this paper, channel estimation for multiuser massive MIMO system is addressed for the scenario, where the number of scatterers is small compared to the base station antennas and single antenna users in the cell. If the number of scatterers is limited, then the corresponding angle of arrivals are finite. Moreover, if all the users share the same angle of arrivals, then the correlation among the channel vector increases. Thus, the high‐dimensional channel is approximated to the low‐rank matrix. This rank minimization problem is formulated as the weighted nuclear norm problem and is estimated using iterative weighted singular value thresholding (IWSVT) algorithm. To increase the convergence rate, fast IWSVT algorithm is proposed and the performance is measured based on mean square error and uplink and downlink achievable sum‐rate. The simulation study shows that the proposed weighted nuclear norm minimization method with fast IWSVT algorithm performs better than the conventional least square and the nuclear norm minimization method for various finite scatterers in different signal‐to‐noise ratio levels.  相似文献

无线携能通信(SWIPT)技术是解决无线网络能量受限问题的有效方法,该文研究一个由基站(BS)和多用户组成的多载波SWIPT系统,其上行和下行链路均采用正交频分复用(OFDM)技术。在下行链路中,基站向用户同时进行信息与能量传输;在上行链路中,用户利用从基站接收的能量向基站回传信息。该文以最大化上下行加权和速率为目标,联合优化上行和下行的子载波分配和功率分配,提出基于拉格朗日对偶法和椭球法的最优联合资源分配算法。计算机仿真结果证实了该算法的有效性。  相似文献

为了满足下一代无线通信的需求,基于最近提出的非对称毫米波大规模多输入多输出(multipleinput multiple-output, MIMO)系统架构,研究了非对称毫米波大规模MIMO系统信道特性——信道非对称性. 根据非对称毫米波大规模MIMO系统架构和影响毫米波信道非对称性的主要因素,提出了刻画上下行信道非对称性的新参数——非对称因子. 同时利用实验室自行研发的射线跟踪平台对非对称毫米波信道进行仿真分析. 结果表明,基站收发天线阵列配置不同是导致信道非对称性的根本原因,复杂的传播环境使得这种非对称性更加突出,严重情况下室内场景非对称因子可达到?30 dB左右. 同时室外视距(line-of-sight, LoS)和非视距(non-line-of-sight, NLoS)场景下的非对称因子累积分布函数(cumulative distribution function, CDF)与高斯分布拟合程度较好,而NLoS场景下明显比LoS场景下的非对称因子小. 因此,非对称因子能够直观地描述出不同场景中上下行信道的非对称程度,而且非对称毫米波大规模MIMO系统也应以场景为导向进行信道特性分析.  相似文献

A multi-carrier simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) communication system including one base station (BS) and one user was investigated,where both uplink and downlink adopt orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM).In the downlink,the BS transmited information and power to the user simultaneously.In the uplink,the user transmited information to the BS by using the power harvested from the BS in the downlink.The weighted sum of the downlink and uplink achievable rates by jointly optimizing subcarrier allocation and power allocation of the uplink and downlink were aimed to maximized.An optimal algorithm to solve the joint resource allocation problem was proposed,which was based on the Lagrange duality method and the ellipsoid method.Finally,the result shows the performances of the proposed algorithm by computer simulations.  相似文献

A multicell multiuser massive multiple‐input‐multiple‐output (MIMO) network with Rician flat fading is considered. Given channel reciprocity, non‐orthogonal uplink channel training in conjunction with minimum mean square error channel estimation at the base stations are used to acquire channel state information. In the forward link, using maximal ratio transmission precoding, base stations send data to corresponding users. In this paper, first, a closed‐form expression for signal to interference and noise ratio and a lower bound on achievable rate are obtained for arbitrary number of base station antennas. Then, using random matrix theory, a simplified approximate expression for large number of base station antennas (i.e., massive MIMO scenario) are calculated. This simplified expression shows that in a multicell multiuser massive MIMO network with Rician flat fading, like Rayleigh fading, as the number of base station antennas goes to infinity, the effects of uncorrelated noise and intercell and intracell interferences tend to zero. The only factor limiting the performance of system is the correlated intercell interference, that is, pilot contamination, due to non‐orthogonality of channel training sequences in adjacent cells. Massive MIMO systems offer a high spatial resolution that can drastically increase the spectral and/or energy efficiency by employing a large number of antennas at the base station(BS).In a distributed massive MIMO system,the capacity of fiber backhaul that links base station and remote radio heads is usually limited,which becomes a bottleneck for realizing the potential performance gain of both downlink and uplink.To solve this problem,we propose a joint antenna selection and user scheduling which is able to achieve a large portion of the potential gain provided by the massive MIMO array with only limited backhaul capacity.Three sub-optimal iterative algorithms with the objective of sumrate maximization are proposed for the joint optimization of antenna selection and user scheduling,either based on greedy fashion or Frobenius-norm criteria.Convergence and complexity analysis are presented for the algorithms.The provided Monte Carlo simulations show that,one of our algorithms achieves a good tradeoff between complexity and performance and thus is especially fit for massive MIMO systems.  相似文献

Massive MIMO (also known as the “Large-Scale Antenna System”) enables a significant reduction of latency on the air interface with the use of a large excess of service-antennas over active terminals and time division duplex operation. For large-scale MIMO, several technical issues need to be addressed (e.g., pilot pattern design and low-antenna power transmission design) and theoretically addressed (e.g., channel estimation and power allocation schemes). In this paper, we analyze the ergodic spectral efficiency upper bound of a large-scale MIMO, and the key technologies including channel uplink detection. We also present new approaches for detection and power allocation. Assuming arbitrary antenna correlation and user distributions, we derive approximations of achievable rates with linear detection techniques, namely zero forcing, maximum ratio combining, minimum mean squared error (MMSE) and eigen-value decomposition power allocation (EVD-PA). While the approximations are tight in the large system limit with an infinitely large number of antennas and user terminals, they also match our simulations for realistic system dimensions. We further show that a simple EVD-PA detection scheme can achieve the same performance as MMSE with one order of magnitude fewer antennas in both uncorrelated and correlated fading channels. Our simulation results show that our proposal is a better detection scheme than the conventional scheme for LSAS. Also, we used two channel environment channels for further analysis of our algorithm: the Long Term Evolution Advanced channel and the Millimeter wave Mobile Broadband channel.
