本文分析了商业智能和业务流程管理进行集成的重要性和主要方式,阐明了利用商业智能来管理和优化业务流程可以帮助决策者在考虑企业的整体状况下更快、更科学地决策,避免孤立地管理流程;而决策者置身于流程之中并以一致的方式来处理事务又可以帮助商业智能的用户更加关注于应优先处理的事情。     

The Effect of Organizational Factors on the Business Value of IT: Universalistic,Contingency, and Configurational Predictions

The authors seek to expand the scope of theoretical approaches and organizational factors that are used in concert to examine the effect of organizational factors on IT business value in the present study. They explore the relationships among IT infrastructure capability, a set of five organizational factors, and IT business value using three dominant approaches in organizational research: the universalistic, contingency, and configurational approaches. The ensuing predictions are empirically tested through interviews with senior executives in 57 organizations.     

Business Intelligence: An Analysis of the Literature

This research collects, synthesizes, and analyzes 167 articles on a variety of topics closely related to business intelligence (BI) published from 1997 to 2006 in ten leading Information Systems (IS) journals. We found a generally increasing level of activity during the 10-year period and a focus on exploratory research methodologies. We noted that several methodologies were either underrepresented or absent from the pool of BI research. We also identified several subject areas that need further exploration.

Improving Decision Quality: The Role of Business Intelligence

This exploratory study provides a validated, parsimonious research model of antecedents of the perception of the quality of decisions made using business intelligence support. Findings provide insight into little investigated avenues such as the role of problem space complexity in perceived decision quality as well as indicate a more complex interplay among the antecedents of decision quality than heretofore examined. For example, results suggest that there may be a tipping point for which information quality and use of the system support higher perceived decision quality. In addition, these findings provide a direction for future research to generate deeper, more meaningful contributions in our collective understanding of how business intelligence (BI) serves to improve the quality of decision-making.

Management Support with Structured and Unstructured Data—An Integrated Business Intelligence Framework

In the course of the evolution of management support towards corporate wide Business Intelligence infrastructures, the integration of components for handling unstructured data comes into focus. In this paper, three types of approaches for tackling the respective challenges are distinguished. The approaches are mapped to a three layer BI framework and discussed regarding challenges and business potential. The application of the framework is exemplified for the domains of Competitive Intelligence and Customer Relationship Management.

Behavioral Analysis of E-commerce Acceptance in Micro-enterprises简

E-commerce present opportunities and challenges for businesses, especially for micro-enterprises. This paper proposed a theoretical framework that in line with the unique characteristics of E-commerce acceptance in micro-enterprises in Chengdu, which is based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology （UTAUT） model. The extending UTAUT model includes key constructs of performance expectation, perceived behavioral control and the characteristics of owner-managers.     

Winning the Hearts and Minds of Business Intelligence Users: The Role of Metadata

Business Intelligence (BI) applications are strategic decision support systems that are significantly underutilized in many organizations. We propose that adoption and use can be improved by designing BI applications that provide users with high-quality metadata (i.e. information about the meaning, quality, location, and lineage of decision support data). Metadata’s value is that it positively influences user attitudes towards data as measured by cognition and affect.

黄山风景区经过多年的信息化建设,已初步建成了涉及景区多个领域的近30个应用系统。但是,这些系统之间彼此孤立,数据间难以实现共享,并且日益积累的大量历史数据没有得到充分利用。文中将商务智能技术运用到景区的业务经营管理中,通过利用ETL技术,解决各系统间的信息孤岛问题,并建设统一的数据仓库平台;在此基础上,根据景区日常业务经营管理需求,介绍构建基于商务智能技术的景区经营决策支持系统的框架、系统的决策功能以及关键技术分析。
