Investigation of the ion exchange properties of β-eucryptite (LiAlSiO4) single crystals indicates that it is impossible to substitute Li+ by other bigger univalent cations such as Na+, K+, or Ag+. On the contrary, Li+ exchange by bivalent cations, Cu2+ or Mn2+, is very easy. For a general orientation of the crystal with respect to the magnetic field, the EPR spectrum of Cu2+ ions in β-eucryptite consists of 12 sharp lines partially superimposed on a broad line. The sharp lines are attributed to isolated copper ions in the conducting channels. Cu2+ lies in sixfold coordinated Li″ sites, but not in the fourfold coordinated Li″ sites. The corresponding spin Hamiltonian parameters at T = 140 K are found to be: gx = 2.362, gy = 2.340, gz = 1.990; ∥Ax∥ = 85 × 10?4cm?1, ∥Ay∥ = 71 × 10?4cm?1, ∥Az∥ = 203 × 10?4 cm?1. The broad line is attributed to clusters of Cu2+ located in neighboring Li″ sites.  相似文献

Abstract

The EPR spectrum of N, N'-bis-(acetylacetone)ethylenediimino Cu(II), [Cu-en(acac)2], and N, N'-bis-(1,1,1-trifluoroacetylacetone)ethylenediimino-Cu(II), [Cu-en(tfacac)2], have been studied in doped single crystals of the corresponding Ni(II) chelate. The parameters in the usual doublet spin-Hamiltonian are found to be: Cu[en(acac)2], gz =2.183 ± 0.003, gx =2.047 ± 0.004, gy =2.048 ± 0.004, Az =204.8 × 10?4cm?1, Ax =31.5 × 10?4cm?1, Ay =27.1 × 10?4 cm?1, AzN= 12.8 × 10?4 cm?1 and AxN =AyN =14.3 × 10?4 cm?1: Cu[en(tfacac)2], gz =2.192 ± 0.002, gx =2.048 ± 0.004, gy =2.046 ± 0.004, Az =200.8 × 10?4 cm?1, Ax =31.1 × 10?4 cm?1, Ay =28.3 × 10?4 cm?1, AzN =12.8 × 10?4 cm?1 and AxN =AyN =14.6 × 10?4 cm?1. These parameters are related to coefficients in the molecular orbitals of the complex. It is found that the α-bonding is quite covalent and there is significant in-plane σ-bonding. From the nitrogen hyperfine structure it is determined that the hybridization on the nitrogen is sp2.  相似文献

Abstract

The EPR spectra of single crystals of 63Cu(II) doped N, N'-bis(salicylidene)ethylenediimine Ni(II), [Ni(sal)2en] and 7-methyl-N, N'-bis(salicylidene)ethylenediimine Ni(II), [Ni(7-me sal)2en] have been studied. The usual doublet spin-Hamiltonian parameters for the complexes have been found to be: Cu(II)[(sal)2en]; g z =2.192 ± 0.002; g x =2.046 ± 0.004; g y =2.049 ± 0.004; A z =201.0 × 10?4 cm?1; A x =29.3 × 10?4 cm?1; A y =31.3 × 10?4 cm?1; AN z =12.6 × 10?4 cm?1; A N x =14.5 × 10?4 cm?1; A N y =15.7 × 10?4 cm?1; A H z =6.3 × 10?4 cm?1; A H x =7.3 × 10?4 cm?1; A H y =7.9 × 10?4 cm?1; Cu(II)[(7-me sal)2en]; g z =2.189 ± 0.002; g x =2.037 ± 0.004; g y =2.046 ± 0.004; A z =203.0 × 10?4 cm?1; A x =36.9 × 10?4 cm?1; A y =22.7 × 10?4 cm?1; A N z =12.6 × 10?4 cm?1; A N x =13.3 × 10?4 cm?1; A N y =14.0 × 10?4 cm?1. Values of molecular orbital coefficients calculated for these complexes show that their bonding properties are similar to those of other compounds of this type. There is considerable covalency in the metal-ligand [sgrave]-bonds, and significant in-plane pi-bonding is present.  相似文献

Single crystal e.s.r. spectra at room temperature and Q-band frequencies on [PPh4]2 [(Mo/V)O(qdt=2] (qdt = quinoxaline-2,3-dithiolate) containing ca 3% vanadium gave the spin-Hamiltonian parameters g1 = 1.977 ± 0.001, g2 = 1.985 ± 0.001, g3 = 1.987 ± 0.001, A1 = (−38.5 ± 0.3) × 10−4, A2 = (−45.1 ± 0.3) × 10−4, A3 = (−133.2 ± 0.3) × 10−4 cm−1, and Q′ = −(0.15±0.05) × 10−4 cm−1. The g and A tensor axes are not coincident. The principal values of the g and A tensors have been analysed via an angular overlap treatment. Proton spin-flip transitions were observed in the spectra at X-band frequencies. Single crystal e.s.r. spectra of undiluted [PPh4]2 [VO(qdt)2] at both X- and Q-band frequencies are interpreted in terms of a two-dimensional weak exchange model with J0 = −48 ± 2G (ferromagnetic).  相似文献

A five-coordinate copper(II) complex with the tripod ligand tris(N-methylbenzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)amine (Mentb) and salicylate, with the composition [Cu(Mentb) (salicylate)](ClO4) · 2DMF, was synthesized and characterized by elemental and thermal analyses, electrical conductivity, IR and UV-Vis spectral measurements. The crystal structure of the complex has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The Cu(II) is five-coordinate with four N atoms from the Mentb ligand and an O atom of the monodentate salicylate ligand. The N4O donors are in a distorted trigonal-bipyramid geometry. Cyclic voltammograms indicate a quasireversible Cu2+/Cu+ couple. The X-band EPR spectrum of the complex confirms the trigonal-bipyramidal structure with g < g and a very small value of A (41 × 10?4 cm?1).  相似文献

Laser-induced fluorescence Of Cs2 molecules in the infrared region (4000–9000 cm?1) has been observed using several exciting wavelengths from an argon-ion laser and from a ring dye laser. Accurate molecular constants for the first two excited 1Σg+ electronic states are derived from spectra recorded at high resolution by Fourier transform spectroscopy. Main molecular constants are: (2)1Σg+: Tc = 12114.090 cm?1, ωe = 23.350 cm?1, Bc = 7.4.5 × 10?3 cm?1, Rc = 5.8316 Å; (3)1Σg+: Te = 15975.450 cm?1, ωe = 22.423 cm?1 , Be = 8.23 × 10?3 cm?1, Rc = 5.5569 Å.  相似文献

The two-photon fluorescence excitation spectrum of pyrene in n-hexane and n-heptane matrices has been measured at 10 K in the region of the first electronic transition (26800–30200 cm?1). The spectrum consists of a rich number of sharp bands, being in general better resolved in n-hexane than in n-heptane matrix. Shpol'skii multiplets have been observed for the most intense bands. A strong two-photon band dominates the spectrum = 1495 cm?1 from the 0—0 line and was assigned to B1u × b1u = Ag symmetry. Other weaker vibronic origins occur in the spectrum which were correlated to vibrational modes of b1u, b2u, b3u and au symmetry. Intense vibronic bands are observed close to the origin of the second electronic transition and were interpreted as combination bands of B1u × b1u × b3g symmetry. A two-photon vibronic theory to account for their intensity is proposed where the electronic moment is linearly expanded in powers of the nuclear displacements.  相似文献

The formation of complexes at pH 4.7 of the Hg(II) with five monothiosemicarbazone and two dithiosemicarbazone has been studied. The mercury(II) reacts with monothiosemicarbazones of salicylaldehyde (λmax = 363 nm, E = 1.69 × 104liters · mol?1cm?1), pi-colinadehyde (λmax = 363 nm, E = 2.38 × 104liters · mol?1cm?1), 6-methyl-picolinaldehyde (λmax = 363 nm, E = 2.28 × 104liters · mol?1cm?1), di-2-pyridylketone (λmax = 380 nm, E = 2.08 × 104liters · mol?1cm?1), and o-naphthoquinone (λmax = 540 nm, E = 1.03 × 104liters · mol?1cm?1) and with dithiosemicarbazones of 1,4-dihydroxyphthalimide (λmax = 430 nm, E = 2.56 × 104liters · mol?1cm?1) and dipyridylglyoxal (λmax = 363 nm, E = 2.37 × 104liters · mol?1cm?1). A critical comparison of the stoichiometry and apparent stability constant of complexes with mono- and dithiosemicarbazones is given.  相似文献

A five-coordinate copper complex with the tripod ligand tris(N-methylbenzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)amine (Mentb) and 4-hydroxycinnamate, with the composition [Cu(Mentb)(4-hydroxycinnamate)](ClO4)?·?0.5DMF, was synthesized and characterized by means of elemental analyses, electrical conductivities, thermal analyses, IR, and UV. The crystal structure of the copper complex has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and shows that the CuII atom is bonded to a tris(N-methylbenzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)amine (Mentb) ligand and a 4-hydroxycinnamate through four N atoms and one O atom, giving a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry (τ?=?0.78), with approximate C3 molecular symmetry. Cyclic voltammograms of the copper complex indicate a quasireversible Cu+2/Cu+ couple. Electron spin resonance data confirm the trigonal–bipyramidal structure and indicate g ?<?g with a very small value of A (57?×?10?4?cm?1).  相似文献

The electronic absorption spectrum of the Fe2+ ion doped in ammonium chloride has been studied at room and liquid air temperatures. The observed bands have been assigned transitions from the ground 6A1g(S) state to the excited 4A1g(4Eg), 4T1g(G) and 4T2g(G) states. The cubic field approximation with Dq = 675 cm?1, B = 645 cm?1 and C = 4.4 B is found to give a good fit to the observed band positions.It is further concluded that the site symmetry of the Fe3+ ion in the crystal is lowered from Oh to C4v symmetry at liquid air temperature.  相似文献

EPR and optical absorption spectra of Cu2+ ion were investigated in natural elbaites from Brazil and Zambia and in synthetic olenite single crystal. In elbaite from Zambia, the content of Cu2+ ions was found to be about 0.006 pfu, whereas in Brazilian elbaite the amount of this ion can approach up to 0.2 pfu. The rose color of elbaite from Zambia is mainly due to optical absorption at 515 nm related to Mn3+ ions. The blue color of Brazilian elbaite is related to Cu2+ absorption bands at 695 nm and 920 nm. Spin Hamiltonian parameters of Cu2+ calculated from the angular dependence of the EPR spectra are: g x = 2.054, g y = 2.092, g z = 2.374; A x = 27.8·10?4 cm?1, A y = 59.3·10?4 cm? 1, A z = 133.2·10?4 cm?1. We propose that Cu2+ ions enter into Y octahedra with common edges; the symmetry of these Y octahedra is lowered because of local disorder induced by occupancy of the Y site by cations of very different size and charge, such as Li+, Al3+, and Cu2+.  相似文献

The hfs of205Pb in the 283.3-nm resonance line and its isotope shift (IS) have been measured in absorption with the use of dispersive spectroscopy. A new method for calibration and analysis, when internal standards are not available is described. The results are: hfs interaction constantsA=70.3(5)×10?3 cm?1,B=?0.6(1.1)×10?3 cm?1,205Pb-208Pb IS=?123.9(2.0)×10?3 cm?1. The derived nuclear magnetic dipole moment,μ=0.704(5)μ N is in good agreement with values calculated with a nuclear configuration mixing model.  相似文献

From the reaction of Pb with metastable oxygen O2(1Δg) in a Broida type oven we have analysed at high resolution some vibrational levels of the X0+, a1, A0+ and B1 states of the 208PbO molecule. The rotational parameters determined allowed us to recalculate the position of the various isotope lines to within 0.01 cm−1. We have found a negative value of ωeχe (−0.123 (25) cm−1) in A0+, contrary to previous observations. The Ω type doubling in a1 varies from +1.8 × 10−4 cm−1 (υ′ = 2) to +2.3 × 10−4 cm−1 (υ′ = 9) and in B1 from −1.17 × 10−4 cm−1 (υ′ = 0) to −0.97 × 10−4 cm−1 (υ′ = 2).  相似文献

The fluorescence lifetime of trans-stilbene in dilute methylcyclohexane/iso-hexane solution has been measured and the mean S1 radiative (kF), radiationless (kI) and cis-isomerization (kC) rate parameters have been determined from ?90 to 60°C. Si consists of a fluorescent trans (1Bu*) state (kF0 = 6.0 × 108 s?1) which undergoes reversible thermal-activated rotational internal conversion (ΔH = 1.75 kcal mole?1, ΔS = 10.6 cal deg?1 mole?1) to a non-fluorescent perp (1Ag*) state. p(1Ag*) lies 610 cm?1 above t (1Bu*) with an intermediate S1 potential maximum. p(1Ag*) undergoes internal conversion(kI. = 5.8 × 108 s?1) to p (1Ag) leading to cis-isomerization. Abstract

An ESR study of γ-irradiated pentacyanonitrosyl cobaltate (II) shows the presence of two paramagnetic species. One, with g∥ =2.005, g∥ =2.172, A∥ 81.3 and A∥ =-26.2 × 10?4 cm?1, is the well-known d 7 species Co(CN)5 3-. The second shows g∥<g∥ and much lower 59Co hyperfine interactions. The ESR parameters are shown to be consistent with those predicted for the species [Co(CN)5 NO]4- with C S symmetry, a bent Co–N–O bond, and a d 7 configuration with the odd electron in an a' orbital formed by mixing the cobalt d x y 2 and d z 2 orbitals. Theoretical arguments are advanced to show that, in general, small metal hyperfine splittings in low symmetry ions do not necessarily establish that the unpaired electron is in a ligand-dominated orbital.  相似文献

The vibronic nπ* singlet spectra of p-benzoquinone-h4 and p-benzoquinone-d4 have been observed in a supersonic jet and some as yet unknown excited state fundamentals in the vapor phase have been assigned. The electric dipole forbidden, magnetic dipole allowed origin of the 1B1g1Ag transition is observed at 20045 cm?1. The origin of the1Au1Ag, transition has been indirectly determined at 19991 cm?1 from the vibronic excitation spectra. Neither shows a deuterium shift.  相似文献

NH(A3Π → X3Σ?) and OH(A2Σ+ → X2Π) chemiluminescences from the reaction of CH(X2Π) with NO and O2, respectively, have been observed at room temperature. From the decay of such emissions we have measured the rate constants for these two reactions: kNO = (2.5 ± 0.5) × 10?10 and kO2 = (8 ± 3) × 10?11 cm3 molecule ?1 s?1, which are in agreement with previously reported rates determined by direct CH(X) detection using, laser-induced fluorescence. This indicates that a four-centered mechanism generating these excited species is operative in both reactions. The CH generation from 266 nm photolysis of CHBr3 has also been investigated via analysis of CH* emissions.  相似文献

Triplet vinylidene radicals, produced in the vacuum-ultraviolet photolysis of acetylene, are observed in absorption at 137.4 nm. The lifetime in the presence of helium, for both the protonated and deuterated species, has been determined. Expressed as a bimolecular rate constant the values are kHeH = (1.3 ± 0.3) × 10?14 cm3 molecule?1 s?1 and kHeD = (2.4 ± 0.4 × 10?15 cm3 molecule?1 s?1.
