Preliminary study on pisionids (Annelida: Polychaeta Pisionidae) from Hainan Island coastal waters, South China Sea

Of the four species ofPisione Grube (1856) collected from the coastal waters of Hainan Island, the South China Sea, and described in this paper,Pisione hainanensis n. sp. is new to science;Pisione oerstedii Grube, 1857;Pisione complexa Alikunhi, 1947, and Pisione levisetosa Zhao, Westheide & Wu, 1991 are reported for the first time from this area. The present paper reports 7 species of pontoniine shrimps collected from Ha inan Island, South China Sea, by the Joint Chinese-German Marine Biology Expeditions , in which, Conchodytes nipponensis (De Haan, 1844) and Coralliocaris brev irostris Borradaile, 1898 are new records from Chinese waters.

广东南澳岛贝类区系的研究

本文报导南澳岛的贝类375种,按水平分布可分4组:(1)84种为我国沿海广温广布种;(2)144种分布于东海和南海的亚热带种;(3)141种分布于南海的亚热带—热带种;(4)6种为分布于黄、渤海的温带种。南澳岛的贝类区系大多由暖水性亚热带种组成,属印度—西太平洋区系区中国—日本亚区。     

ON A NEW SPECIES OF PAVLOVA (PRYMNESIOPHYCEAE) FROM CHINA

Pavlova viridis sp. nov. is described on the basis of light and electron microscope observations. The material was collected from the coast of Haiyang county of Shandong, China. It is characterized by 1) yellowish green to green chloroplast, 2) rudimentary short flagellum 0. 3um long and hook-shaped, 3)long flagellum with small spherical knob-scales, 4) absence of pyrenoid and stigma, and 5) marine habitat. This new species and P . salina seem to be most closely related to each other but their colour, the insertion of their three appendages, the shape of their knob scales, and their cell periplasts are quite different from one another .

The present paper reports 9 species of pontoniine shrimps collected from Hainan IS-land ,South China Sea ,by the Joint Chinese-German Marine Biology Expeditions,in which Peri-climenaeus arabicus (Calman,1939) and Periclimenaeus hecate (Nobili,1904) are recorded for the first time from Hainan Island.

Population, seasonal abundance of the mysid Indomysis annandalei Tattersal (1914) from Karachi wat-ers (northern Arabian Sea) are studied. Occurrence of breeding females is noted and developmental stagesare described.     

广东鉴江尖紫蛤的生态调查

尖紫蛤分布于我国东南沿海,在广东鉴江它的栖息密度为3.5～7.0个/m~2。生活在比重1.0006～1.0007,水温19.2～30.8℃,pH 值6.9～7.2.流速0.243～0.704m/s,透明度为0.38～0.60m 的咸淡水交汇处,从低潮区至水深3m 的沙滩均有分布,栖息深度一般为0.30～0.50m,最深可达0.70m。食料以底栖硅藻和有机碎屑为主。雌雄异体,繁殖期在9～10月,一周龄个体平均大小为37.5mm×16.5mm×8.2mm。在鉴江尖紫蛤的年产量约5万kg。

凝花菜的初步研究

对凝花菜的形态、结构、生长、繁殖；四分孢子的放散、附着及萌发；人工繁殖试验等进行了初步研究。     

从江汉洞庭盆地新生代以来的构造变形探讨华南地块与周缘板块的相互关系

利用构造分析结果、震源机制解和现场应力测量资料 ,获得江汉洞庭盆地及邻区新生代 4个时段构造应力场主应力的优势分布。在此基础上 ,综合分析了华南地块在不同变形阶段的应力场体系和运动史 ,并对地块与周缘板块运动的相互作用进行了讨论。     

TWO NEW SPECIES OF THE GENUS DORYLAIMOPSIS DITLEVSEN, 1918 (NEMATODA : ADENOPHORA,COMESOMATIDAE) FROM THE BOHAI SEA,CHINA

Two nematode species of the genus Dorylaimopsis (Family Comesometidae) from the Bohai Sea are described. Dorylaimopsis rabalaisi n. sp. similar to D. punctata Ditlevsen, 1918 from which it can be separated by the small size, short and simple spicules without ventral apophyses or joint line. Dorylaimopsis turneri n. sp. differs from the closest species Dorylaimopsis angelae (Inglis, 1967) by its higher values of de Man ratio 'a', much shorter spicules and higher ratio of gubernacular to spicules length. A key to species of the genus based on the key by Jensen (1979) is given .     

Distribution characteristics of polychlorinated biphenyls （PCBs） in coastal areas of Okinawa Island, Japan

Surface sediment and seawater samples were collected from coastal areas around Okinawa Island from September 2001 to May 2002. The samples were analyzed for total polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) levels and homolog composition. The results show that total PCB levels ranged from 0.32 to 128.7 ng/g (dry wt.) in sediment and 1.59 to 2.48 ng/L in seawater. The levels exceed the Environmental Quality Standard (EQS) for water pollution of Japan. The distribution of PCB homolog showed different patterns in the sediments and seawaters. Penta-chlorobiphenyls (CBs) comprised the main congener group in seawater, while hexa-CBs were more abundant homologs in the sediments. The heavily contaminated sites featured higher CBs, including penta-CBs, hexa-CBs, and hepta-CBs, than those in less contaminated sites where tri-CBs dominated. This study provides current distribution and geochemical behavior of PCBs in the coastal areas around Okinawa Island.

湛江港南三岛近岸海区异养细菌数量变动与潮汐周期关系研究

研究了南三岛近岸海区异养细菌数量变动与潮汐周期的关系。结果表明：在２４ｈ内异养细菌的数量随着潮位的上升而减少或随着潮位的下降而增加，高平潮时数量最低，低平潮时数量最高。比较一个月内各个高平潮异养细菌的数量，发现异养菌数量在小潮期向大潮期转变的过程中达到顶峰，并在大潮期急剧下降至最低值，接着从大潮期至小潮期，异养细菌数量缓慢回升，直至小潮期后才快速地上升。在水平分布中，异养细菌的数量在潮间带最大，其次是离低潮线１００ｍ的海区，离低潮线３００ｍ的海区最小。在垂直分布中．异养细菌数量以表层水最高，中层水次之，底层水最低。
