The limit cycle of the Duffing–van der Pol equation is studied. By considering the product of the frequency ω of the limit cycle and the coefficient ε as an independent parameter μ=εω, an equivalent equation is obtained and then solved by Liao’s homotopy analysis method. The frequency ω is deduced as a function of μ and δ. This function provides us with an algebraic equation for ω, according to which we have an analytical approximation for the frequency. Numerical examples show that the attained approximation is very accurate. More importantly, the results are uniformly valid for all positive values of ε.  相似文献

The relation between the Lyapunov exponent spectrum of a periodically excited non-autonomous dynamical system and the Lyapunov exponent spectrum of the corresponding autonomous system is given and the validity of the relation is verified theoretically and computationally. A direct method for calculating the Lyapunov exponent spectrum of non-autonomous dynamical systems is suggested in this paper, which makes it more convenient to calculate the Lyapunov exponent spectrum of the dynamical system periodically excited. Following the definition of the Lyapunov dimensionD L (A) of the autonomous system, the definition of the Lyapunov dimensionD L of the non-autonomous dynamical system is also given, and the difference between them is the integer 1, namely,D L (A) −DL=1. For a quasi-periodically excited dynamical system, similar conclusions are formed. 基于单元子分法的结构多尺度边界单元法   总被引:3,自引:1,他引:2  
建立在基于单元子分法的一种有效自适应格式以及多区域边界元三步求解技术基础上提出了一种计算结构多尺度问题的多区域边界元法。首先,通过高斯积分误差分析公式确定边界单元在满足精度要求下所需要的高斯点数,当所需高斯点数超过规定数目时该单元就被自动划分成一定数量的子单元,从而消除结构多尺度所引起的近奇异性。在单元子分技术的基础上采用多区域边界元三步求解技术来处理材料非均质问题:第一步消除各子域的内部未知量,第二步消除各子域独自拥有的边界未知量,第三步根据位移相容性条件和面力平衡条件建立系统方程组并求解公共界面节点位移以及每个子域的其他未知量。数值算例结果表明本方法可以用较少的计算时间得到满意的结果,是处理结构多尺度问题的一种有效方法。  相似文献

材料科学中存在固有的多尺度特性,桥域多尺度方法是在宏观尺度(如连续介质力学)中引入不同的细微观尺度的计算区域,乃至纳米尺度的分子动力学、量子力学计算区域,将不同尺度的研究方法通过一定的数学模型耦合在一起。该方法既能节约计算成本,又能保证所研究问题的物理特性。本文对多尺度方法的基本概念、跨尺度桥域多尺度方法的发展、基本原理、耦合方法和离散方程进行了讨论,给出了几个应用算例,并在最后进行了总结,展望了今后的可能发展方向。  相似文献

将非线性动力系统化为连续变化的线性系统,并导出任意自治或非自治非线性动力系统的瞬时线性化方程,该线性方程的连续变化描述了系统的全部复杂动力行为.进一步采用Taylor变换法求解系统的线性化方程,得到一种非线性动力系统数值计算的新方法,避免了指数矩阵展开的乘积运算.计算实例表明该方法在不增加计算机时的前提下,精度高于传统的Houbolt,Wilson-θ及Newmark-β等方法.计算了Duffing方程和van Pol方程的混沌及周期特性.  相似文献

In this paper according to the results of a great quantity of tests and numerical calculations, it is pointed out that the surrounding rock with thickness of 1/3 span has mechanical characteristics of a thick flexural member in underground rock cave subjected to transverse blast loading. However, it approaches the stress state of free field outside country rock and the equation of thick plate theory under the loading of free field pressure may be applied to the solution of this problem. Therefore, the underground structure-country rock dynamic interaction may be described by dynamic equations of flexural members of thin plate and thick plate, which express linear and country rock respectively. The interaction force between the liner and country rock is expressed as contacting pressure function q(x, l). By solving system of simultaneous equations, the analytical solution for the dynamic analysis of arch-straight liner including elastic half space interaction effect is given and the analytical expression of function q(x, t) is obtained. This analytic solution will contribute to the study of some substantive problems of underground structure-medium dynamic interaction theoretically. This letter mainly aims to investigate the mechanical behavior within shear bands in regolith both under the Earth and the Moon conditions via the distinct element method, in which a novel contact model considering interparticle van der Waals forces and rolling resistance is employed. The results show that for regolith under both conditions the stress paths are almost identical inside and outside the shear bands but void ratio, average pure rotation rate, and strain paths are rather distinct with dilation, particle rotation and the second invariant of strain tensor mainly occurring within the bands. However, the regolith under the Moon condition has higher peak strength and more significant strain localization than those under the Earth condition.  相似文献

The size-dependent effect on the biaxial and shear nonlinear buckling analysis of an isotropic and orthotropic micro-plate based on the surface stress,the modified couple stress theory(MCST),and the nonlocal elasticity theories using the differential quadrature method(DQM)is presented.Main advantages of the MCST over the classical theory(CT)are the inclusion of the asymmetric couple stress tensor and the consideration of only one material length scale parameter.Based on the nonlinear von K′arm′an assumption,the governing equations of equilibrium for the micro-classical plate considering midplane displacements are derived based on the minimum principle of potential energy.Using the DQM,the biaxial and shear critical buckling loads of the micro-plate for various boundary conditions are obtained.Accuracy of the obtained results is validated by comparing the solutions with those reported in the literature.A parametric study is conducted to show the effects of the aspect ratio,the side-to-thickness ratio,Eringen’s nonlocal parameter,the material length scale parameter,Young’s modulus of the surface layer,the surface residual stress,the polymer matrix coefficients,and various boundary conditions on the dimensionless uniaxial,biaxial,and shear critical buckling loads.The results indicate that the critical buckling loads are strongly sensitive to Eringen’s nonlocal parameter,the material length scale parameter,and the surface residual stress effects,while the effect of Young’s modulus of the surface layer on the critical buckling load is negligible.Also,considering the size dependent effect causes the increase in the stiffness of the orthotropic micro-plate.The results show that the critical biaxial buckling load increases with an increase in G12/E2and vice versa for E1/E2.It is shown that the nonlinear biaxial buckling ratio decreases as the aspect ratio increases and vice versa for the buckling amplitude.Because of the most lightweight micro-composite materials with high strength/weight and stiffness/weight ratios,it is anticipated that the results of the present work are useful in experimental characterization of the mechanical properties of micro-composite plates in the aircraft industry and other engineering applications.  相似文献

针对多学科设计优化中约束存在不确定性的问题,提出了一种稳健优化方法。在该方法中采用区间模型描述不确定性设计变量,约束变化区间的最大值采用遗传算法求得,然后通过选定的满意度水平确定相应的约束值。多学科优化过程依靠两级集成系统合成法实现。通过算例验证了该方法的有效性,对处理多学科不确定性优化设计问题有一定的指导意义。  相似文献

基于平均法导出了Van der Pol-Duffing类振子响应时程瞬时特性与系统参数间的函数关系,在此基础上提出一种高效的非线性系统参数识别方法。借助经验包络法EE(Empirical Envelope Method)求解了响应时程瞬时特性,验证了EE相对传统Hilbert变换HT(Hilbert Transform)方法在求解瞬时频率上的优势。通过数值算例验证了本文方法的识别精度。分析了信号长度、初始条件、采样频率和噪声比例四种因素对识别精度的影响。结果表明,线性参数识别精度不受上述因素影响,非线性刚度项系数识别精度受各因素影响较为明显;本文方法具有良好的抗噪声性能,即使系统响应受到10%的噪声污染,本文方法也具有很好的识别精度。  相似文献

A robust airfoil optimization platform is constructed based on the modified particle swarm optimization method (i.e., the second-order oscillating particle swarm method), which consists of an efficient optimization algorithm, a precise aerodynamic analysis program, a high accuracy surrogate model, and a classical airfoil parametric method. There are two improvements for the modified particle swarm method compared with the standard particle swarm method. First, the particle velocity is represented by the combination of the particle position and the variation of position, which makes the particle swarm algorithm a second-order precision method with respect to the particle position. Second, for the sake of adding diversity to the swarm and enlarging the parameter searching domain to improve the global convergence performance of the algorithm, an oscillating term is introduced to the update formula of the particle velocity. At last, taking two airfoils as examples, the aerodynamic shapes are optimized on this optimization platform. It is shown from the optimization results that the aerodynamic characteristic of the airfoils is greatly improved in a broad design range.  相似文献

A supercomputer with 1.0 Petaflops peak performance in single precision, designed and established by Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, is introduced in this brief communication. A designing philosophy utilizing the similarity between hardware, software and the problems to be solved is embodied, based on the multi-scale method and discrete simulation approaches developed at Institute of Process Engineering (IPE) and implemented in a graphic processing unit (GPU)-based hybrid computing mode. 在传统变密度法SIMP(Solid Isotropic Microstructures with Penalization)中,Sigmund灵敏度过滤策略是解决拓扑优化结果数值不稳定问题的重要方法之一。但在SIMP方法中采用Sigmund灵敏度过滤策略时,有时优化结果会有较多的灰度单元。为了减少拓扑优化结果中灰度单元的数量,提出了一种基于改进灵敏度过滤策略的SIMP方法。在过滤后单元灵敏度的计算中,增加了一个与中心单元过滤前灵敏度有关的部分,该部分在过滤后灵敏度中所占的比重需要通过过滤权重来调节。通过对灵敏度过滤需要的分析,确定了过滤半径和中心单元密度值是影响过滤权重的因素。根据拓扑优化实例的优化结果给出了过滤半径影响过滤权重的情况,并基于过滤半径对过滤权重的影响情况构建了过滤权重的函数。在改进灵敏度过滤策略的基础上,结合双重SIMP算法给出了本文SIMP方法的流程。最后,以悬臂梁结构和简支梁结构为例,验证了本文方法的有效性。与Sigmund灵敏度过滤策略相比,改进的灵敏度过滤策略能有效地减少灰度单元。与双重SIMP方法相比,本文SIMP方法能有效地减少数值不稳定现象。  相似文献

In this paper, a collocation technique with the modified equilibrium on line method (ELM) for imposition of Neumann (natural) boundary conditions is presented for solving the two-dimensional problems of linear elastic body vibrations. In the modified ELM, equilibrium over the lines on the natural boundary is satisfied as Neumann boundary condition equations. In other words, the natural boundary conditions are satisfied naturally by using the weak formulation. The performance of the modified version of the ELM is studied for collocation methods based on two different ways to construct meshless shape functions: moving least squares approximation and radial basis point interpolation. Numerical examples of two-dimensional free and forced vibration analyses show that by using the modified ELM, more stable and accurate results would be obtained in comparison with the direct collocation method.  相似文献

The element energy projection (EEP) method for computation of super- convergent resulting in a one-dimensional finite element method (FEM) is successfully used to self-adaptive FEM analysis of various linear problems, based on which this paper presents a substantial extension of the whole set of technology to nonlinear problems. The main idea behind the technology transfer from linear analysis to nonlinear analysis is to use Newton's method to linearize nonlinear problems into a series of linear problems so that the EEP formulation and the corresponding adaptive strategy can be directly used without the need for specific super-convergence formulation for nonlinear FEM. As a re- sult, a unified and general self-adaptive algorithm for nonlinear FEM analysis is formed. The proposed algorithm is found to be able to produce satisfactory finite element results with accuracy satisfying the user-preset error tolerances by maximum norm anywhere on the mesh. Taking the nonlinear ordinary differential equation (ODE) of second-order as the model problem, this paper describes the related fundamental idea, the imple- mentation strategy, and the computational algorithm. Representative numerical exam- ples are given to show the efficiency, stability, versatility, and reliability of the proposed approach.  相似文献

Computer simulations based on Discrete Element Method have been performed in order to investigate the influence of interparticle interactions on the kinetics of self-assembly and the mechanical strength of nanoparticle aggregates.Three different systems have been considered.In the first system the interaction between particles has been simulated using the JKR (Johnson,Kendall and Roberts) contact theory,while in the second and third systems the interaction between particles has been simulated using van der Waals and electrostatic forces respectively.In order to compare the mechanical behaviour of the three systems,the magnitude of the maximum attractive force between particles has been kept the same in all cases.However,the relationship between force and separation distance differs from case to case and thus,the range of the interparticle force.The results clearly indicate that as the range of the interparticle force increases,the self-assembly process is faster and the work required to produce the mechanical failure of the assemblies increases by more than one order of magnitude.  相似文献
