Organolead halide perovskite solar cells (PSC) are arising as promising candidates for next‐generation renewable energy conversion devices. Currently, inverted PSCs typically employ expensive organic semiconductor as electron transport material and thermally deposited metal as cathode (such as Ag, Au, or Al), which are incompatible with their large‐scale production. Moreover, the use of metal cathode also limits the long‐term device stability under normal operation conditions. Herein, a novel inverted PSC employs a SnO2‐coated carbon nanotube (SnO2@CSCNT) film as cathode in both rigid and flexible substrates (substrate/NiO‐perovskite/Al2O3‐perovskite/SnO2@CSCNT‐perovskite). Inverted PSCs with SnO2@CSCNT cathode exhibit considerable enhancement in photovoltaic performance in comparison with the devices without SnO2 coating owing to the significantly reduced charge recombination. As a result, a power conversion efficiency of 14.3% can be obtained on rigid substrates while the flexible ones achieve 10.5% efficiency. More importantly, SnO2@CSCNT‐based inverted PSCs exhibit significantly improved stability compared to the standard inverted devices made with silver cathode, retaining over 88% of their original efficiencies after 550 h of full light soaking or thermal stress. The results indicate that SnO2@CSCNT is a promising cathode material for long‐term device operation and pave the way toward realistic commercialization of flexible PSCs.  相似文献

Perovskite solar cells (PVSCs) are promising photovoltaic technologies for realizing power sources with outstanding power conversion efficiency (PCE) and low‐cost properties. However, the extraordinary photovoltaic performance can be maximized only if an extremely stabilized device structure is developed. Here, a novel glued poly(ethylene‐co‐vinyl acetate) (EVA) interfacial layer is introduced to fabricate highly efficient and stable PVSCs with excellent waterproofness and flexibility. This strategy can effectively passivate the perovskite surface, reduce defect density, and balance charge transfer, which leads to a champion PCE of 19.31% for a 0.1 cm2 device and 11.73% for a 25 cm2 solar module. More importantly, the formation of a glued EVA thin layer on the surface of perovskite can inhibit ionic migration to the Ag electrode, form favorable interfacial contact and adhesive interaction with the perovskite/[6,6]‐phenyl‐C61‐butyric acid methyl ester to sustain mechanical bending, and produce significant waterproofness from moisture invasion, thus facilitating improvement in the operational stability of the PVSCs. The EVA‐treated PVSCs exhibit superior PCE values of 15.12% for a flexible device (0.1 cm2) and 8.95% for a flexible module (25 cm2), as well as over 85% retention after 5000 bending cycles, which opens up a new strategy for the practical application of PVSCs in portable and wearable electronics.  相似文献

A key issue for perovskite solar cells is the stability of perovskite materials due to moisture effects under ambient conditions, although their efficiency is improved constantly. Herein, an improved CH3NH3PbI3?xClx perovskite quality is demonstrated with good crystallization and stability by using water as an additive during crystal perovskite growth. Incorporating suitable water additives in N,N‐dimethylformamide (DMF) leads to controllable growth of perovskites due to the lower boiling point and the higher vapor pressure of water compared with DMF. In addition, CH3NH3PbI3?xClx · nH2O hydrated perovskites, which can be resistant to the corrosion by water molecules to some extent, are assumed to be generated during the annealing process. Accordingly, water additive based perovskite solar cells present a high power conversion efficiency of 16.06% and improved cell stability under ambient conditions compared with the references. The findings in this work provide a route to control the growth of crystal perovskites and a clue to improve the stability of organic–inorganic halide perovskites.  相似文献

Efficient organic–inorganic metal halide perovskite absorbers have gained tremendous research interest in the past decade due to their super optoelectronic properties and defect tolerance. Lead (Pb) halide perovskites enable highly efficient perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with a record power conversion efficiency (PCE) of over 23%. However, the energy bandgaps of Pb halide perovskites are larger than the optimal bandgap for single junction solar cells, governed by the Shockley–Queisser (SQ) radiative limit. Mixed tin (Sn)‐Pb halide perovskites have drawn significant attention, since their bandgap can be tuned to below 1.2 eV, which opens a door for fabricating all‐perovskite tandem solar cells that can break the SQ radiative limit. This review summarizes the development of low‐bandgap mixed Sn‐Pb PSCs and their applications in all‐perovskite tandem solar cells. Its aim is to facilitate the development of new approaches to achieve high efficiency low‐bandgap single‐junction mixed Sn‐Pb PSCs and all‐perovskite tandem solar cells.  相似文献

Developing highly effective and stable counter electrode (CE) materials to replace rare and expensive noble metals for dye‐sensitized and perovskite solar cells (DSC and PSC) is a research hotspot. Carbon materials are identified as the most qualified noble metal‐free CEs for the commercialization of the two photovoltaic devices due to their merits of low cost, excellent activity, and superior stability. Herein, carbonaceous CE materials are reviewed extensively with respect to the two devices. For DSC, a classified discussion according to the morphology is presented because electrode properties are closely related to the specific porosity or nanostructure of carbon materials. The pivotal factors influencing the catalytic behavior of carbon CEs are also discussed. For PSC, an overview of the new carbon CE materials is addressed comprehensively. Moreover, the modification techniques to improve the interfacial contact between the perovskite and carbon layers, aiming to enhance the photovoltaic performance, are also demonstrated. Finally, the development directions, main challenges, and coping approaches with respect to the carbon CE in DSC and PSC are stated.  相似文献

The optoelectronic properties of perovskite films are closely related to the film quality, so depositing dense, uniform, and stable perovskite films is crucial for fabricating high‐performance perovskite solar cells (PSCs). CsPbI2Br perovskite, prized for its superb stability toward light soaking and thermal aging, has received a great deal of attention recently. However, the air instability and poor performance of CsPbI2Br PSCs are hindering its further progress. Here, an approach is reported for depositing high‐quality CsPbI2Br films via the Lewis base adducts PbI2(DMSO) and PbBr2(DMSO) as precursors to slow the crystallization of the perovskite film. This process produces CsPbI2Br films with large‐scale crystalline grains, flat surfaces, low defects, and long carrier lifetimes. More interestingly, PbI2(DMSO) and PbBr2(DMSO) adducts could significantly improve the stability of CsPbI2Br films in air. Using films prepared by this technique, a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 14.78% is obtained in CsPbI2Br PSCs, which is the highest PCE value reported for CsPbI2Br‐based PSCs to date. In addition, the PSCs based on DMSO adducts show an extended operational lifetime in air. These excellent performances indicate that preparing high‐quality inorganic perovskite films by using DMSO adducts will be a potential method for improving the performance of other inorganic PSCs.  相似文献

Metal halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have emerged as promising next-generation photovoltaic devices with the maximum output efficiency exceeding 25%. Despite significant advances, there are many challenges to achieve high efficiency, stability, and low-cost simultaneously. Combating these challenges depends on developing novel materials and modifying conventional device components. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have attracted considerable attention for fabricating efficient PSCs owing to their remarkable electrical, optical, and mechanical properties. With their multifunctional features, CNTs can play a wide range of roles and offer unique benefits in various components in PSCs to improve device performance and durability. Here, recent progress concerning the utilizations of CNTs as transparent conductive electrodes, charge-transporter, perovskite additives, interlayers, hole-transporting materials, and back electrodes in PSCs is comprehensively reviewed. The application of CNTs toward the development of 1D and 2D flexible PSCs is also discussed. A summary of current challenges and prospective on future research directions of employing CNTs to realize high-performance PSCs is presented.  相似文献

Three new star‐shaped hole‐transporting materials (HTMs) incorporating benzotripyrrole, benzotrifuran, and benzotriselenophene central cores endowed with three‐armed triphenylamine moieties ( BTP‐1 , BTF‐1 , and BTSe‐1 , respectively) are designed, synthesized, and implemented in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The impact that the heteroatom‐containing central scaffold has on the electrochemical and photophysical properties, as well as on the photovoltaic performance, is systematically investigated and compared with their sulfur‐rich analogue ( BTT‐3 ). The new HTMs exhibit suitable highest‐occupied molecular orbitals (HOMO) levels regarding the valence band of the perovskite, which ensure efficient hole extraction at the perovskite/HTM interface. The molecular structures of BTF‐1 , BTT‐3 , and BTSe‐1 are fully elucidated by single‐crystal X‐ray crystallography as toluene solvates. The optimized (FAPbI3)0.85(MAPbBr3)0.15‐based perovskite solar cells employing the tailor‐made, chalcogenide‐based HTMs exhibit remarkable power conversion efficiencies up to 18.5%, which are comparable to the devices based on the benchmark spiro‐OMeTAD. PSCs with BTP‐1 exhibit a more limited power conversion efficiency of 15.5%, with noticeable hysteresis. This systematic study indicates that chalcogenide‐based derivatives are promising HTM candidates to compete efficiently with spiro‐OMeTAD.  相似文献

Operational stability of perovskite solar cells has been a challenge from the beginning of perovskite research. In general, humidity and heat are the most well‐known degradation sources for perovskites, requiring ideal design of perovskite chemistry to withstand them. Although triple‐cation perovskite (Cs0.05(FA0.85MA0.15)0.95Pb(I0.85Br0.15)3) has been already introduced as the stable perovskite material, the high reactivity of methylammonium and formamidinium in the cation sites demands further modification. Herein, 1,2,4‐triazole is suggested as an effective cation solute to improve the performance and stability of perovskite solar cells. 1,2,4‐Triazole is an aromatic cation with low dipole moment that is stable under humidity and heat. It also possesses three nitrogen atoms, forming additional hydrogen bonds in the lattice, stabilizing the material. In this study, the solar cell utilizing 1,2,4‐triazole alloying achieves a power conversion efficiency of 20.9% with superior stability under extreme condition (85 °C/85% of relative humidity (RH), encapsulated) for 700 h. The 1,2,4‐triazole‐alloyed perovskite exhibits reduced trap density and film roughness and enhanced carrier lifetime with electrical conductivity, suggesting an ideal perovskite structure for efficient and stable optoelectronic applications.  相似文献

In the last few years, organometal halide perovskites (OHPs) have emerged as a promising candidate for photovoltaic (PV) applications. A certified efficiency as high as 23.7% has been achieved, which is comparable with most of the well‐established PV technologies. Their good solubility due to the ionic nature enables versatile low‐temperature solution processes, including blade coating, slot‐die coating, etc., most of which are scalable and compatible with roll‐to‐roll large‐scale manufacturing processes. The low cost, high efficiency, and facile processable features make perovskite solar cells (PSCs) a very competitive PV technology. Despite the great progress, long‐term durability concerns, toxicity issues of both materials and manufacturing process, and lack of robust high‐throughput production technology for fabricating efficient large‐area modules are major obstacles toward commercialization. In this review, the recent progress of commercially available process of PSCs is surveyed, the underlying determinants for upscaling high‐quality PSCs from hydrodynamic characteristics and crystallization thermodynamic mechanism are identified, the influence of external stress factors on stability of PSCs and intrinsic instability mechanism in OHPs themselves is revealed, and the environmental impact and sustainable development of PSC technology are analyzed. Strategies and opportunities for large‐scale production of PSCs are suggested to promote the development of PSCs toward commercialization.  相似文献

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are demonstrating great potential to compete with second generation photovoltaics. Nevertheless, the key issue hindering PSCs full exploitation relies on their stability. Among the strategies devised to overcome this problem, the use of carbon nanostructures (CNSs) as hole transporting materials (HTMs) has given impressive results in terms of solar cells stability to moisture, air oxygen, and heat. Here, the use of a HTM based on a poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT) matrix doped with organic functionalized single walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) and reduced graphene oxide in PSCs is proposed to achieve higher power conversion efficiencies (η = 11% and 7.3%, respectively) and prolonged shelf‐life stabilities (480 h) in comparison with a benchmark PSC fabricated with a bare P3HT HTM (η = 4.3% at 480 h). Further endurance test, i.e., up to 3240 h, has shown the failure of all the PSCs based on undoped P3HT, while, on the contrary, a η of ≈8.7% is still detected from devices containing 2 wt% SWCNT‐doped P3HT as HTM. The increase in photovoltaic performances and stabilities of the P3HT‐CNS‐based solar cell, with respect to the standard P3HT‐based one, is attributed to the improved interfacial contacts between the doped HTM and the adjacent layers.  相似文献

Developing efficient interfacial hole transporting materials (HTMs) is crucial for achieving high‐performance Pb‐free Sn‐based halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Here, a new series of benzodithiophene (BDT)‐based organic small molecules containing tetra‐ and di‐triphenyl amine donors prepared via a straightforward and scalable synthetic route is reported. The thermal, optical, and electrochemical properties of two BDT‐based molecules are shown to be structurally and energetically suitable to serve as HTMs for Sn‐based PSCs. It is reported here that ethylenediammonium/formamidinium tin iodide solar cells using BDT‐based HTMs deliver a champion power conversion efficiency up to 7.59%, outperforming analogous reference solar cells using traditional and expensive HTMs. Thus, these BDT‐based molecules are promising candidates as HTMs for the fabrication of high‐performance Sn‐based PSCs.  相似文献

Chemical doping is often used to enhance electric conductivity of the conjugated molecule as hole‐transporting material (HTM) for the application in optoelectronics. However, chemical dopants can promote ion migration at the electrical field, which deteriorates the device efficiency as well as increases the fabrication cost. Here, two star HTMs, namely 2,2′,7,7′‐tetrakis(N,N‐di‐p‐methoxyphenyl‐amine) 9,9′‐spirobifluorene (Spiro‐OMeTAD) and poly(triarylamine) are subjeted to chemical combination to yield dopant‐free N2,N2,N2′,N2′,N7,N7,N7′,N7′‐octakis(4‐methoxyphenyl)‐10‐phenyl‐10H‐spiro[acridine‐9,9′‐fluorene]‐2,2′,7,7′‐tetraamine (SAF‐OMe). The power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) of 12.39% achieved by solar cells based on pristine, dopant‐free SAF‐OMe are among the highest reported for perovskite solar cells and are even comparable to devices based on chemically doped Spiro‐OMeTAD (14.84%). Moreover, using a HTM comprised of SAF‐OMe with an additional dopant results in a record PCE of 16.73%. Compared to Spiro‐OMeTAD‐based devices, SAF‐OMe significantly improves stability.  相似文献

Hybrid organic–inorganic perovskites have attracted intensive interest as light absorbing materials in solid‐state solar cells. Herein, we demonstrate a high‐performance CH3NH3PbI3‐based perovskite photodetector constructed on the flexible indium tin oxide (ITO) coated substrate even after 200 bending cycles. The as‐fabricated devices show high responsivity, broad spectrum response from ultraviolet to whole visible light, long‐term stability, and high on‐off ratio. Particularly, atomic layer deposition technique was used to deposit the ultrathin Al2O3 film on devices, functioning as a protection layer to effectively enhance the stability and durability of perovskite photodetectors. The first all‐perovskite self‐powered nanosystem was successfully assembled by integrating a perovskite solar cell with a perovskite photodetector. Driven by the perovskite solar cell, the photodetector exhibits fast and stable response to illuminated light at a low working voltage less than 1.0 V. This stable integrated nanosystem has promising applications in which photodetectors can work in harsh environments without external power sources.  相似文献

Organometallic halide perovskite films with good surface morphology and large grain size are desirable for obtaining high‐performance photovoltaic devices. However, defects and related trap sites are generated inevitably at grain boundaries and on surfaces of solution‐processed polycrystalline perovskite films. Seeking facial and efficient methods to passivate the perovskite film for minimizing defect density is necessary for further improving the photovoltaic performance. Here, a convenient strategy is developed to improve perovskite crystallization by incorporating a 2D polymeric material of graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C3N4) into the perovskite layer. The addition of g‐C3N4 results in improved crystalline quality of perovskite film with large grain size by retarding the crystallization rate, and reduced intrinsic defect density by passivating charge recombination centers around the grain boundaries. In addition, g‐C3N4 doping increases the film conductivity of perovskite layer, which is beneficial for charge transport in perovskite light‐absorption layer. Consequently, a champion device with a maximum power conversion efficiency of 19.49% is approached owing to a remarkable improvement in fill factor from 0.65 to 0.74. This finding demonstrates a simple method to passivate the perovskite film by controlling the crystallization and reducing the defect density.  相似文献

The unprecedented advancement in power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) has rendered them a promising game-changer in photovoltaics. However, unsatisfactory environmental stability and high manufacturing cost of window electrodes are bottlenecks impeding their commercialization. Here, a strategy is introduced to address these bottlenecks by replacing the costly indium tin oxide (ITO) window electrodes via a simple transfer technique with single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) films, which are made of earth-abundant elements with superior chemical and environmental stability. The resultant devices exhibit PCEs of ≈19% on rigid substrates, which is the highest value reported to date for ITO-free PSCs. The facile approach for SWCNTs also enables application in flexible PSCs (f-PSCs), delivering a PCE of ≈18% with superior mechanical robustness over their ITO-based counterparts due to the excellent mechanical properties of SWCNTs. The SWCNT-based PSCs also deliver satisfactory performances on large-area (1 cm2 active area in this work). Furthermore, these SWCNT-based PSCs can retain over 80% of original PCEs after exposure to air over 700 h while ITO-based devices only sustain ≈60% of initial PCEs. This work paves a promising way to accelerate the commercialization of ITO-free PSCs with reduced material cost and prolonged lifetimes.  相似文献

Photovoltaics based on organic?inorganic perovskites offer new promise to address the contemporary energy and environmental issues. These solar cells have so far largely relied on small‐molecule hole transport materials such as spiro‐OMeTAD, which commonly suffer from high cost and low mobility. In principle, polyfluorene copolymers can be an ideal alternative to spiro‐OMeTAD, given their low price, high hole mobility and good processability, but this potential has not been explored. Herein, polyfluorene derived polymers‐TFB and PFB, which contain fluorine and arylamine groups, are demonstrated and can indeed rival or even outperform spiro‐OMeTAD as efficient hole‐conducting materials for perovskite solar cells. In particular, under the one‐step perovskite deposition condition, TFB achieves a 10.92% power conversion efficiency that is considerably higher than that with spiro‐OMeTAD (9.78%), while using the two‐step perovskite deposition method, about 13% efficient solar cells with TFB (12.80%) and spiro‐OMeTAD (13.58%) are delivered. Photoluminescence reveals the efficient hole extraction and diffusion at the interface between CH3NH3PbI3 and the hole conducting polymer. Impedance spectroscopy uncovers the higher electrical conductivity and lower series resistance than spiro‐OMeTAD, accounting for the significantly higher fill factor, photocurrent and open‐circuit voltage of the TFB‐derived cells than with spiro‐MeOTAD.  相似文献
