We report a compact Ho:LuAG ceramic laser intracavity pumped by a diode-pumped Tm:YAG ceramic laser. The laser oscillation is accomplished by using a common linear cavity configuration containing Tm:YAG and Ho:LuAG ceramics. The 1.0 at.% Ho:LuAG ceramic laser yields 1.15 W of maximum output simultaneously at 2094 and 2100 nm with a beam quality factor of M2-2.8. 相似文献

A conductively cooled, laser diode (LD) end-pumped, injection-seeded single frequency Nd:YAG laser is designed and impleinented. The laser utilizes Nd:YAG rod as gain medium and compact dual-endpumping arrangement using two fiber-coupled LDs with a maximum output of 150 W. The optimized ramp-fire technique is applied to build reliable single longitudinal mode oscillating. The laser is capable of producing a 10-raJ Q-switched pulse with 13-ns pulse width at 1064 nm at a pulse repetition rate of 250 Hz. The output beam qualities M2 of approximately 1.19 and 1.22 in horizontal and vertical directions are detected, respectively. 相似文献

We demonstrate a high-pulse-energy, short-pulse-width passively Q-switched(PQS) Nd:YAG∕V3t:YAG laser at 1.3 μm, which is end-pumped by a pulsed laser diode. During the PQS regime, a maximum total output pulse energy of 3.3 m J is obtained under an absorbed pump pulse energy of 21.9 m J. Up to 400 μJ single-pulse energy is realized with the shortest pulse width of 6.16 ns and a pulse repetition frequency of 34.1 k Hz,corresponding to a peak power of 64.9 k W. The high-energy laser pulse is operated in the dual wavelengths of 1319 and 1338 nm, which is a potential laser source for THz generation. 相似文献

A High-Energy Good-Beam-Quality Krypton-Lamp-Pumped Nd:YAG Solid-State Laser with One Pump Cavity 下载免费PDF全文
We investigate a high-energy good-beam-quality krypton-lamp-pumped pulsed Nd: YA G solid-state laser with one pump cavity. The symmetrical resonator laser is developed and is rated at 80 J with beam parameter product 12mm mrad. The total system electro-optics efficiency of the lamp-pumped YAG laser is as high as 3.3% and the stability of output energy is ±2% with pulse width tunable between 0.1 ms and 10ms. The experimental results are consistent with the theoretical analysis and simulation. 相似文献

We first experimentally demonstrate a laser-diode end-pumped self-Q-switched and mode-locked Nd,Cr:YAG green laser with a KTP crystal as the intra-cavity frequency doubler. The device produces
an average output power of 680 mW at 532 nm. The corresponding pulse width of the Q-switched envelope of the green laser is 170±20 ns. The mode-locked pulses have a repetition rate of approximately 183
MHz and the average pulse duration is estimated to be around sub-nanosecond. It is found that the intra-cavity frequency doubling greatly improves the modulation depth and stability of the
mode-locked pulses within the Q-switched envelope. 相似文献

A high efficiency, high power diode-side-pumped quasi continuous wave (QCW) Nd:YAG ceramic rod laser at 1064 nm based on the domestic transparent ceramic is reported. The average output power of 961 W is achieved with double ceramic rods by means of a symmetrical convex-convex cavity. The optical-to-optical conversion efficiency is 38.3% and the slope efficiency is 45.3%. To the best of our knowledge, this is the highest level of efficiency achieved for the domestic Nd:YAG ceramic rod laser. 相似文献

Effects of temperature and input energy on a quasi-three-level emission cross section of Nd3+:yAG pumped by a flashlamp 下载免费PDF全文
The influence of temperature and input energy on the fluorescence emission cross section of Nd 3+ :YAG crystal is studied. The stimulated emission cross sections of quasi-three-level systems are determined in a temperature range from 30 to 60℃ and an input energy range from 18 to 75 J. The cross section is found to be decreased when the temperature and the input energy are increased. This is attributed to the thermal broadening mechanism of the emission line. This study is relevant for the development of laser design. 相似文献

Diode-Pumped Quasi-Three-Level Passively Q-Switched Nd:GGG Laser with a Codoped Nd,Cr:YAG Saturable Absorber 下载免费PDF全文
We demonstrate the first quasi-three-level passively Q-switched Nd:GGG laser at 937nm using a Nd, Cr:YAG crystal as the saturable absorber. The dependences of the average output power, the repetition rate and the pulse width on the incident pump power are obtained. A maximum average output power of 1.18 W with repetition rate of 35kHz and pulse width of 45ns is achieved at an incident pump power of 18.3 W. The corresponding optical-to-optical and slope efficiencies are 6% and 10%, respectively. 相似文献

A Passively Mode-Locked Diode-End-Pumped Nd:YAG Laser with a Semiconductor Saturable Absorber Mirror Grown by Metal Organic Chemical Vapour Deposition 下载免费PDF全文
We report the experimentM results of a mode-locked diode-end-pumped Nd:YAG laser with a semiconductorsaturable absorber mirror (SESAM) from which we achieved a lOps pulse duration at 150MHz repetition rate. The SESAM was grown by metal organic chemical vapour deposition at low temperature. The recovery time wasmeasured to be 0.5 ps, indicating the potential pulse compression to sub-picoseconds. 相似文献
