We review the fact that an MV-algebra is the same thing as a lattice-ordered effect algebra in which disjoint elements are orthogonal. An HMV-algebra is an MV-effect algebra that is also a Heyting algebra and in which the Heyting center and the effect-algebra center coincide. We show that every effect algebra with the generalized comparability property is an HMV-algebra. We prove that, for an MV-effect algebra E, the following conditions are mutually equivalent: (i) E is HMV, (ii) E has a center valued pseudocomplementation, (iii) E admits a central cover mapping such that, for all p, qE, pq=0(p)q=0.  相似文献

We show that an irreducible representation of a quantized enveloping algebraU at a th root of 1 has maximal dimension (= N ) if the corresponding symplectic leaf has maximal dimension (=2N). An introduction to Hopf algebras as a tool for the regularization of relevant quantities in quantum field theory is given. We deform algebraic spaces by introducingq as a regulator of a noncommutative and noncocommutative Hopf algebra. Relevant quantities are finite providedq 1 and diverge in the limitq 1. We show how methods from cyclic homology give easily an explicit 2-cocycle on the Lie algebra of differential operators of the circle such that restricts to the cocycle defining the Virasoro algebra. The same methods yield also aq-analogue of as well as an infinite family of linearly independent cocycles arising when the complex parameterq is a root of unity. We use an algebra ofq-difference operators andq-analogues of Koszul and the Rham complexes to construct these quantum cocycles.  相似文献

We study higher order bicovariant differential calculi on the quantum groups Oq(N) and Sp q (N). We show that the second antisymmetrizer exterior algebra u is the quotient of the universal exterior algebra u by the principal ideal generated by . Here denotes the unique up to scalars biinvariant 1-form. Moreover is central in u and u is an inner differential calculus. We show that the quadratic dual to the left-invariant algebra s L is isomorphic to the reflection equation algebra. Let be an arbitrary left-covariant first order differential calculus. We show that the dimension of the space of left-invariant 2-forms in the universal exterior algebra equals the number of linearly independent quadratic-linear relations in the quantum tangent space.  相似文献

A note on the theory of the successive production of moving striations in the plasma of inert gases
Approximate expressions are derived on the basis of Pekárek's theoretical paper [1] for the period of the maximum tB of a wave packet produced by the passage of a wave of stratification before the aperture of a photomultiplier, and for its time width in the half-height tB. The relaxation time of a wave of stratification, following from the theory [1], can thus be calculated by means of the experimentally measured velocity of motion of the maximum of a wave packet u and its width tB. The calculation is supplemented by numerical data on the magnitude of errors committed by using approximate expressions.

Exterior algebras of differential forms on quantum 2-spheresS qc 2 ,q[–1, 1]/{0},c[0, ] (c=0 forq=±1), are classified. In the definition of exterior algebras we assume the invariance w.r.t. the action of the quantumSU(2) group and dimensionality conditions (which imply that we deal with two-dimensional manifolds). The paper gives the results of measuring ferromagnetic resonance on thin cobalt films, vacuum deposited on unheated glass slides. The values of the (g-factor, the width of the curve, the effective stress and uniaxial induced anisotropy were determined as a function of the thickness of the film from measurements of the ferromagnetic absorption in a magnetic field normal and parallel to the surface of the film. Measurements were carried out on a frequency of 9200 MHz and on film thicknesses of 180 to 1800 Å. A qualitative explanation of the observed dependences is given.

We show that the differential complex B over the braided matrix algebra BM q (N) represents a covariant comodule with respect to the coaction of the Hopf algebra A which is a differential extension of GL q (N). On the other hand, the algebra A is a covariant braided comodule with respect to the coaction of the braided Hopf algebra B . Geometrical aspects of these results are discussed.  相似文献

We study the antiferromagnetic q-state Potts model on the square lattice for q=3 and q=4, using the Wang–Swendsen–Kotecký (WSK) Monte Carlo algorithm and a powerful finite-size-scaling extrapolation method. For q=3 we obtain good control up to correlation length 5000; the data are consistent with ()=Ae 2 p (1+a 1 e + ...) as , with p1. The staggered susceptibility behaves as stagg 5/3. For q=4 the model is disordered (2) even at zero temperature. In appendices we prove a correlation inequality for Potts antiferromagnets on a bipartite lattice, and we prove ergodicity of the WSK algorithm at zero temperature for Potts antiferromagnets on a bipartite lattice.  相似文献

The properties of Pulsed-Laser-Deposited Diamond-Like Carbon (PLD DLC) films are studied as functions of the power density and the wavelength of the laser beam, and the incident angle of the beam relative to the normal of the target surface. All the films have a similar structure consisting of graphite particulates embedded in a continuous matrix, so the macroscopic performance of the films is determined by the overall contributions of the particulates and the matrix. The use of higher, shorter, or larger leads to an enhancement of the diamond-like characteristics and a simultaneous increase of the particulate density. These two effects give opposite contributions to the electrical conductivity R, leading to the following results. (i) R drops with increasing in the low range (region I) due to the stronger diamond-like nature of the matrix, but increases sharply after has exceeded a threshold min as a result of the rapid increase in particulate density. (ii) In region I, the use of shorter or larger leads to a more diamond-like matrix, and this overwhelms the degradation effect caused by the slight increase in particulate density. The samples thus become more insulating. In the high region (region II), however, the use of shorter or larger gives rise to higher particulate density, thereby increasing the electrical conductivity.  相似文献

A generalized Toda lattice based on gl(n) is considered. The Poisson brackets are expressed in terms of a Lax connection, L=–() and a classical r-matrix, {1,2}=[r,1+2}. The essential point is that the local lattice transfer matrix is taken to be the ordinary exponential, T=e; this assures the intepretation of the local and the global transfer matrices in terms of monodromy, which is not true of the T-matrix used for the sl(n) Toda lattice. To relate this exponential transfer matrix to the more manageable and traditional factorized form, it is necessary to make specific assumptions about the equal time operator product expansions. The simplest possible assumptions lead to an equivalent, factorized expression for T, in terms of operators in (an extension of) the enveloping algebra of gl(n). Restricted to sl(n), and to multiplicity-free representations, these operators satisfy the commutation relations of sl q (n), which provides a very simple injection of sl q (n) into the enveloping algebra of sl(n). A deformed coproduct, similar in form to the familiar coproduct on sl q (n), turns gl(n) into a deformed Hopf algebra gl q (n). It contains sl q (n) as a subalgebra, but not as a sub-Hopf algebra.  相似文献

Let be a bicovariant first order differential calculus on a Hopf algebra . There are three possibilities to construct a differential N 0-graded Hopf algebra which contains as its first order part. In all cases is a quotient = /J of the tensor algebra by some suitable ideal. We distinguish three possible choices u J, s J, and W J, where the first one generates the universal differential calculus (over ) and the last one is Woronowicz' external algebra. Let q be a transcendental complex number and let be one of the N 2-dimensional bicovariant first order differential calculi on the quantum group SL q(N). Then for N 3 the three ideals coincide. For Woronowicz' external algebra we calculate the dimensions of the spaces of left-invariant and bi-invariant k-forms. In this case each bi-invariant form is closed. In case of 4D ± calculi on SL q(2) the universal calculus is strictly larger than the other two calculi. In particular, the bi-invariant 1-form is not closed.  相似文献

Segal proposed transquantum commutation relations with two transquantum constants , besides Planck's quantum constant and with a variable i. The Heisenberg quantum algebra is a contraction—in a more general sense than that of Inönü and Wigner—of the Segal transquantum algebra. The usual constant i arises as a vacuum order-parameter in the quantum limit ,0. One physical consequence is a discrete spectrum for canonical variables and space-time coordinates.
