Gas Chromatography in Environmental Safety: A Contribution on Gas Chromatographic Investigation of Water In the present communication, the significance of gas chromatographic investigation of water in environmental safety is outlined. The detection of mineral oil, gasoline, petroleum, various organic solvents and pesticides on various columns is reported along with specific mention of instrumental parameters. The analytical chemist is quite often faced with a difficult task, because of the complexity of possible impurities in water. Besides the constant pollution of rivers and lakes with more or less well clarified water from the civic communities, it is mainly the pollutions caused periodically by industrial effluents and those due to disposal of toxic substances from factories, either intentionally or by negligience, that are of major significance in the analysis of water. In addition, materials stored in underground tanks, basements and garbage depots pose a standing threat to ground water.  相似文献

The Influence of Water, Tensides and Builders on the Adhesion of Solid Particles The investigations have confirmed experimentally that water alone as well as tensides and builders really ease the removal of solid particles from smooth surfaces by considerably reducing the adhesive forces.
