Six new [RhBr(NHC)(cod)] (NHC = N‐heterocyclic carbene; cod = 1,5‐cyclooctadiene) type rhodium complexes ( 4–6 ) have been prepared by the reaction of [Rh(μ‐OMe)(cod)]2 with a series of corresponding imidazoli(in)ium bromides ( 1–3 ) bearing mesityl (Mes) or 2,4,6‐trimethylbenzyl (CH2Mes) substituents at N1 and N3 positions. They have been fully characterized by 1 H, 13 C and heteronuclear multiple quantum correlation NMR analyses, elemental analysis and mass spectroscopy. Complexes of type [(NHC)RhBr(CO)2] (NHC = imidazol‐2‐ylidene) ( 7b–9b ) were also synthesized to compare σ‐donor/π‐acceptor strength of NHC ligands. Transfer hydrogenation (TH) reaction of acetophenone has been comparatively studied by using complexes 4–6 as catalysts. The symmetrically CH2Mes‐substituted rhodium complex bearing a saturated NHC ligand ( 5a ) showed the highest catalytic activity for TH reaction. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A new electrospinning process was developed for preparing TiO2 nanofibers using a water-soluble Ti-precursor, [bis(kappa1O-hydroxo)(bis(kappa2O,O′-lactato)titanium(IV)] commonly known as titanium(IV) bis (ammonium lactato) dihydroxide (TiBALDH). The importance of the study is justified by the fact that Ti-precursors used for electrospinning, sol–gel, hydrothermal and other fiber synthesis processes are mostly non-water soluble. Accordingly, anatase TiO2 nanofibers of diameter between 20 and 140 nm were synthesized by electrospinning and annealing. Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and different concentrations of TiBALDH were dissolved in a mixture of water, ethyl alcohol and acetic acid to optimize the electrospinning conditions. The thermal decomposition and fragmentation of PVP, TiBALDH and the fibers with 50% mass fraction of TiBALDH were studied by TGA-MS measurements. The fibers were then annealed at 1 °C min?1 until 600 °C. The TiO2 fibers were characterized using SEM–EDX, FTIR and XRD

A kinetic study on the oxidation of V(IV) by chloramine-T (CAT) at pH 6.85 by N-bromo succinimide (NBS) in aqueous acetic acid–perchloric acid media and by N-iodo succinimide (NIS) in aqueous perchloric acid medium has been carried out. In all the systems studied the order with respect to the oxidant is unity. NBS and CAT oxidation reactions exhibited Michaelis–Menten type kinetics, and the NIS study indicated unit dependence on [substrate]. Independence on acidity has been observed in the case of CAT and NBS reactions, but NIS reactions exhibited inverse unit dependence on [acid]. Novel solvent influences have been noticed in the case of CAT reactions, but with NIS and NBS reactions retardation in the rate has been observed with an increase in the percentage of acetic acid. Plausible mechanisms consistent with the results have been postulated, and suitable rate laws in consonance with the postulated mechanisms have been derived.  相似文献

Summary The very slow reduction of ClO inf3 su– by [CoW12O40]6- is markedly catalysed by Ag1 in aqueous HClO4 solution at I = 1.0 M (NaClO4). The reaction obeys the rate law: -d[reductant]/dt where a = (1.28 ± 0.10) × 10-4M-1s-1 and b = (2.22 ± 0.20) × 10-4M-3s-1, at T = 60.1 ± 0.1°C and [H+] = 0.10–1.50 M. A novel rhenium(I) bipyridyl complex 1a, [(4,4’-di-COOEt-bpy)Re(CO)3(py-NHCO-PTZ)PF6] and a model 1b, [(4,4’-di-COOEt-bpy)Re(CO)3(py-PTZ)PF6] (bpy is 2, 2’-bipyridine, py-NHCO-PTZ is phenothiazine-(10-carbonyl amide) pyridine and py-PTZ is 10-(4-picolyl) phenothiazine) were synthesized. Their photo-induced electron transfer (ET) reaction with electron acceptor methyl viologen (MV2+) in acetonitrile was studied by nanosecond laser flash photolysis at room temperature. Photoexcitation of 1 in the presence of MV2+ led to ET from the Re moiety to MV2+ generating Re(II) and methyl viologen radical (MV·+). Then Re(II) was reduced either by the charge recombination with MV·+ or by intramolecular ET from the attached PTZ, regenerating the photosensitizer Re(I) and forming the PTZ radical at 510 nm. In the case of 1b, the absorption for PTZ radical can be observed distinctly accompanied intermolecular ET, whereas not much difference at 510 nm can be detected for 1a on the time scale of the experiments. This demonstrates that the linking bridge plays a key role on the intramolecular ET in complex 1.  相似文献
