Inspired by the collective behaviour of ant colonies, a stigmergic cooperation mechanism for shop floor control is proposed. In stigmergic shop floor control systems, one piece agent takes charges of one work piece and chooses a manufacturing resource for it in the light of pheromones stored in information environment. Piece agents also update these pheromones to guide subsequent agents routing. Experiments confirm that a stigmergic cooperation mechanism has an excellent scheduling performance in a static environment, good suitability for the stochastic machining-time problem and good adaptability to shop floor changes.  相似文献

To improve the leanness of shop floor production system, supervisory control of its production process should be accurate enough so that the state of every product can be tracked in time and its operation can be scheduled correctly. For this purpose, radio frequency identification (RFID) technology can be used to acquire accurate production data. This paper reports our research on the fundamental technology for RFID-based supervisory control of shop floor production system, in which production state data are acquired by RFID tags and readers, data communication is realized by programmable logic controller and industrial field bus technology, production process control is implemented by the host computer and material handling devices, and the supervisory control software is developed based on multithread technology. The details of these fundamental technologies have not been reported in existing literatures. A prototype of RFID-based supervisory control system is developed for an experimental manufacturing cell, and some experiments were done to verify the feasibility of these technologies.  相似文献

The development of strategic plans for the stepwise introduction of computer integrated manufacturing requires models and modelling techniques to describe the business processes, functions and the required data and their relation to the desired system components. Several modelling methods have been analyzed. The fundamental deficiency is the missing integration between the process and the data models from the enterprise viewpoint. The paper shows the key issues of an object-oriented (OO) modelling method which can be used for CIM-planning as well as for the integration of CIM-standards, e.g. STEP, which are currently under development in European and international commities. The main OO-features like encapsulation, inheritance and the class concept were used to describe enterprise object-classes and the process which change the instances of these classes. The feature-structure of the object classes and the aggregation to complete models were shown.  相似文献

We investigate how automated shop floor data-capture technologies enable lean automotive manufacturing. The concept of lean automotive manufacturing involves identifying the production factors leading to success in the global automobile manufacturing industry. Data capture is any kind of information-gathering needed to manage the value-production process while the goal of automation is to narrow the margin for error as much as possible. The rationale for instituting a data-capture system is it reduces the cost of acquiring and moving information around. Auto data-collection (AIDC) technologies eliminate the labour-intensive and costly paper pushing that typically permeates shop floor processes, which enables companies to reduce costs. In this paper, we discuss the advantages gained by automotive companies such as Volvo Truck Company and Honda supplier Listowel from data-capture systems.  相似文献

This paper deals with a multi-agent architecture of agile manufacturing system and a hybrid strategy for shop floor scheduling. Firstly, it proposes a distributed multi-agent-based manufacturing structure, which has characteristics of self-determination and distribution grounded on multi-agent as well as control and harmony grounded on hierarchical structure or dynamic logical unit. Then, based on the fuzzy theory and method, it studies a hybrid shop floor scheduling strategy that combines fuzzy programming with fuzzy contract net protocol. This paper focuses on a method to maintain an acceptable level of performance of the communication networks serving advanced manufacturing systems. This method is a part of performance management and aims to improve the network performance of handling various types of message such as e-mails, file transfers, control signals, and so on. In order to achieve the goal, the performance management adjusts protocol parameters such as timers and queue capacities, on line. The principles of fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms, and neural networks have been combined in formulating the performance management rules and for finetuning the manager. In orderto demonstrate the efficacy of this approach, a performance management procedure developed for the IEEE 802.4 protocol standard has been evaluated via discrete event simulation.  相似文献
