电流变液是一种可控流体,它在电场的作用下可从牛顿流体变为屈服剪应力较高的粘塑性体,且这种变化连续,可逆,迅速。本文在简要介绍了电流变阻尼器的原理和特点后,就电流变阻尼器的动力特性,如流量和阻尼力等,建立模型,将流体流动分为剪切流动和压差流动两种情况进行了讨论,并进行迭加,使流量和阻尼计算公式得到修正和完善,最后对阻尼力进行简化,提出压差流动占绝对优势,完全可以反映电流变阻尼器的阻尼特性,为进一步实现对阻尼器的控制提供了理论基础。  相似文献

电流变悬浮液内部结构对外电场的快速响应发生在指定的控制空间中,在这一特指的时间和空间尺度上电流变悬浮液的物理行为特征主要为剪切速率低和流动阻尼大,即Mach和Reynolds数一般不大,可以视为微尺度流动来加以研究。针对这一流动特征,基于介观动理论的格子Boltzmann方法,建立了电流变悬浮液两相流动的离散颗粒运动模型,通过该模型进行了动力学模拟,结果表明,该模型解决了分子动力学模型难以描述的因颗粒运动造成局部流场流变特性改变的难题,以及该流场双向耦合过程中对颗粒运动的影响。  相似文献

以微观试验和流变性能试验为手段,分别研究零电场下和在电场作用下的电流变液体黏性变化规律.研究结果表明:零电场下电流变液体的黏性与Krieger-Dougherty公式具有很好的拟合效果,其中逾渗临界值强依赖于悬浮液体中固体颗粒的性质并随工作温度变化.在电场作用下,电流变悬浮液体的黏度随剪切速率的变化规律分为3个阶段:即呈线性的启动段、非线性的幂定律模型流动段和宾汉模型流动段.研究结果为电流变效应工程应用提供依据.  相似文献

设计制造了一种多层滑动极板式电流变阻尼器,使用自制的电流变液,采用正弦激励,进行了这种电流变阻尼器的阻尼特性试验。研究了电流变阻尼器的载荷-位移迟滞特性和载荷-速率迟滞特性,同时研究分析了这种电流变阻尼器的周期能耗特性及等效粘性阻尼特性。结果表明,阻尼器的周期能耗量随外加电场强度的增加而增加,外加电场强度越大,阻尼器的等效阻尼系数越大。阻尼器的阻尼特性体现为库仑阻尼和粘性阻尼的组合,其中随外加电场强度可控的主要是库仑阻尼力,而且库仑阻尼力不仅与外加强度有关,也与阻尼器的运动速度有关。该阻尼器系统是一个强非线性系统,极板间电流变液在低剪切应变率时表现为Bingham塑性流体,在高剪切应变率时流变性态比较复杂,导致载荷-速率迟滞环出现多区域闭合现象。  相似文献

考察了水对甲壳胺和甲壳胺-Cu^2 复合物/蓖麻油电流变体系的剪切应力或表观剪切应力及漏电流密度的影响。结果表明:随着水含量的增加,蓖麻油电流变体系的剪切应力增加,未出现饱和现象;当水含量约为颗粒含量的12.5%,漏电流密度出现一个突增拐点;水在甲壳胺类高分子聚电解质/蓖麻油电流变液中的作用机理与电流变液组分的化学结构及水的含量密切相关。  相似文献

The dynamic responses of the electrorheological fluid in steady pressure flow to stepwise electric fields are investigated experimentally. First of all, the transient responses of the ER fluid under various electric field strengths and flow velocities are obtained from the pressure behaviors in the flow channel with two parallel-plate electrodes. The response times are exponentially decreased with the increase of the flow velocity and the decrease of the electric field strength. Next, the relationship between the dynamic pressure behaviors of the ER fluid and the cluster structure formation processes of the ER particles is investigated using the flow visualization technique. Through the comparison study, it is verified that the dynamic responses of the ER fluid in the flow mode are mainly caused by the cluster densification process in the competition of the electric field-induced particle attraction and the hydrodynamic force, unlike those in the shear mode determined by the particle aggregation process.  相似文献

A new model is developed to predict flow behaviors including flow pattern, pressure gradient and holdup for oil–water flow in horizontal and slightly inclined pipes. The model is based on the universal principle that a system stabilizes to its minimum total energy. The structural configurations observed in two-phase flow systems can be interpreted in terms of total energy minimization. Performance of the developed model is tested against several experimental data, and comparisons with existing models are presented. It is evident from the results and comparisons that the model estimates the pressure gradient and flow pattern very well. The model provides extensive information about oil–water flow characteristics.  相似文献

An electrorheological (ER) response is defined as the dramatic change in rheological properties of a suspension of small particles due to the application of a large electric field transverse to the direction of flow. ER fluids are typically composed of nonconducting or semiconducting particles dispersed in a nonconducting continuous phase. A sufficiently large electric field will cause ER fluids to solidify, giving rising to a yield stress. Many applications in torque and stress transfer devices were proposed employing the reversible yielding behavior of ER fluids. Successful applications depend on a large yield stress of ER fluids and therefore accurate measurements of the yield stress of ER fluids are required. Reported experimental yield stresses of ER fluids have been dynamic yield stresses obtained by extrapolating the shear stress–shear rate data to zero-shear rate. It would be very helpful to the understanding of ER behaviors and the applications of ER fluids to be able to measure the static yield stress of ER fluids accurately. The slotted plate technique has been shown to be a successful method to determine the static yield stress of suspensions. The values obtained via the slotted plate method are static yield stress as the platform is designed for extremely low-speed motion. In this study, we modified the slotted plate device for the application of large electric fields and measured the static yield stress of TiO2 ER fluids under various electric fields. The measured static yield stress values are also compared with the static yield stress values from a commercial rheometer.  相似文献

Dielectric liquids that show striking electrorheological (ER) effects are formulated by controlling the conductivity. Although the viscosity is increased on the application of a d.c. field, the flow of electrified fluids is Newtonian in the plain electrodes with smooth surfaces. When the liquids are sandwiched between the electrodes with flocked fabrics, the viscosity behavior is converted from Newtonian to shear-thinning flow. In electric fields, the convective flow is induced over the system due to the electrohydrodynamic(EHD) effect. The interactions between EHD convection and external shear give rise to the additional energy dissipation and in turn the increase in viscosity. The ER effects of simple liquids are very attractive in application to new fluid devices.  相似文献

助欧拉和拉格朗日方法数值模拟了突扩微尺度管道流中微米颗粒的分离情况. 在采用有限体积法求解电荷密度场、电场和流场的基础上,通过基于改进的Langevin方程研究了微管道中不同位置处的微米颗粒在水动力和介电电泳力综合作用下的运动轨迹. 研究发现:电渗流的驱动能力随着扩张比(ER)的增加而提高,然而其提高的趋势逐渐变小;当微米颗粒仅在水动力作用下时,随着ER的增加,颗粒之间的有效分离距离(ESL)随之线性增加,此时ESL与ER的比值约为5.9; 若是考虑介电电泳力对于微米颗粒运动的影响, ESL与ER的比值下降为4.79, 由此可以看出介电电泳力对突扩微管道流中的微米颗粒的分离效果有着一定的负面影响. 上述结论对于基于介电电泳技术设计的生物粒子分离芯片的优化设计有很大价值.   相似文献

This paper investigates the stability of thin viscoelastic liquid film flowing down on the inner surface of a rotating vertical cylinder by means of the long wave perturbation. After proving the insufficiency of the linear model in characterization of certain flow behaviors, a generalized nonlinear kinematic model is then derived to represent the physical system. This model is solved through the following procedure. In the first step, the normal mode method is used to characterize the linear behaviors. The amplitude growth rates and the threshold conditions are characterized subsequently and summarized as the by-products of the linear solutions. In the second step, a nonlinear film flow model is solved by using the method of multiple scales to characterize flow behaviors at various states of sub-critical stability, sub-critical instability, supercritical stability, and supercritical explosion. The modeling results indicate that with the increase in the rotation speed Ω and the radius of cylinder R, the film flow system will be more stable.  相似文献

The yield stresses of electro-rheological (ER) and magneto-rheological (MR) suspensions increase by orders of magnitude when electric or magnetic fields are applied across them. In the absence of the field, the materials are essentially Newtonian fluids. When ER or MR materials flow through thin laminar ducts, the effect of the finite yield stress concentrates the material deformation gradients in the immediate vicinity of the duct walls. High shear rates in this region introduce drag and lift forces on the suspended particles, the net effect of which moves the particles away from the walls. Electro- or magneto-static image forces at the walls oppose this lift. The ensuing local changes in the particulate volume fraction gives rise to a local inhomogeneity in material properties adjacent to the walls.Four models for the material property inhomogeneities are presented in this paper. Three of these models admit analytical expressions for the relationship between pressure gradient and volumetric flow rate, but presume a piecewise constant particle concentration. The fourth model presumes a smooth relationship between the volume fraction and the shear rate, but requires a numerical solution. Results are presented in terms of the ratio of pressure gradients that can be produced by applying and removing the field.Experimental data collected for a variety of quasi-steady ER flows shows that the analytical solution corresponding to a flow of uniform particle concentration provides an upper bound to the pressure gradients. Each of the four models for inhomogeneous flow provides a lower bound over a sub-domain of the flow conditions. By combining these models heuristically, a single expression for the lower bound on the pressure gradients of ER and MR flows is presented.  相似文献

车辆换道是司机为获得更好行驶条件而采用的常见措施, 而转向灯对车辆换道行为有重要的指导作用. 本文在BML (Biham-Middleton-Levine)模型的基础上加以改进, 提出了综合考虑道路信息和前车转向灯影响的可换道BML模型. 当车辆无法前行时, 如满足换道条件, 则将道路信息(车道密度及平均速度)和转向灯影响量化为车辆换道概率, 确定车辆是否可以换道. 通过数值模拟, 研究了周期边界条件下车辆换道行为对有、无交通灯控制的两种BML模型发生相变的临界密度以及系统通行能力的影响. 模拟结果表明对于无交通灯BML模型, 引入换道规则可以明显提高系统发生相变的临界密度, 在较小尺度下该临界密度接近有交通灯BML模型, 换道效果明显, 并发现了一种新的局部拥堵和自由流的共存相, 讨论了该共存相的生成和演化机制. 在较高密度下局部阻塞将演化为全局拥堵; 对于有交通灯BML模型, 引入换道规则对系统发生相变的临界密度没有明显的影响, 但相变的过渡区域更窄. 这表明有交通灯时, 换道虽然可以改变局部交通特征, 但难以显著影响交通系统的全局特征.   相似文献
