This paper deals with two mixed nonlinear boundary value problems depending on a parameter λ. For each of them we prove the existence of at least three generalized solutions when λ lies in an exactly determined open interval. Usefulness of this information on the interval is then emphasized by means of some consequences. Our main tool is a very recent three critical points theorem stated in [Topol. In this paper we perform an extensive study of the existence, uniqueness (or multiplicity) and stability of nonnegative solutions to the semilinear elliptic equation − Δu = λ uu p in Ω, with the nonlinear boundary condition ∂u/∂ν = u r on ∂Ω. Here Ω is a smooth bounded domain of with outward unit normal ν, λ is a real parameter and p, r > 0. We also give the precise behavior of solutions for large |λ| in the cases where they exist. The proofs are mainly based on bifurcation techniques, sub-supersolutions and variational methods.   相似文献

We consider a system of focal boundary value problems where the nonlinearities may be singular in the independent variable and may also be singular in the dependent arguments. We investigate the existence of positive solutions for a system of Riemann-Liouville fractional differential equations, supplemented with uncoupled nonlocal boundary conditions which contain various fractional derivatives and Riemann-Stieltjes integrals, and the nonlinearities of the system are nonnegative functions and they may be singular at the time variable. We assume that Ω is annular shaped, i.e. there are constants R 2R 1 >  0 such that \(\{x \in \mathbb{R}^{N} : R_{1} < |x| < R_{2}\} \subset \Omega\) and \(0 \not\in \Omega.\) We also assume that Ω is invariant under a group Γ of orthogonal transformations of \(\mathbb{R}^{N}\) without fixed points. We establish the existence of multiple sign changing solutions if, either Γ is arbitrary and R 1/R 2 is small enough, or R 1/R 2 is arbitrary and the minimal Γ-orbit of Ω is large enough. We believe this is the first existence result for sign changing solutions in domains with holes of arbitrary size. The proof takes advantage of the invariance of this problem under the group of Möbius transformations.  相似文献

In this paper, we provide sufficient conditions for the existence of at least three solutions to a three-point boundary value problem for higher-order ordinary differential equations. The nonlinear term f in the differential equation under consideration may depend on higher-order derivatives of arbitrary order and this is where the main novelty of this work lies. By applying the two pairs of upper and lower solutions method of Henderson and Thompson, as well as degree theory, the existence of at least three solutions of the problem is given.  相似文献
