Group Corings
We introduce group corings, and study functors between categories of comodules over group corings, and the relationship to graded modules over graded rings. Galois group corings are defined, and a Structure Theorem for the G-comodules over a Galois group coring is given. We study (graded) Morita contexts associated to a group coring. Our theory is applied to group corings associated to a comodule algebra over a Hopf group coalgebra. We investigate adjoint and Frobenius pairs between categories of comodules over rather general corings. We particularize to the case of the adjoint pair of functors associated to a morphism of corings over different base rings, which leads to a reasonable notion of Frobenius coring extension. When applied to corings stemming from entwining structures, we obtain new results in this setting and in graded ring theory.  相似文献

We extend the comatrix coring to the case of a quasi-finite bicomodule. We also generalize some of its interesting properties. We study equivalences between categories of comodules over rather general corings. We particularize to the case of the adjoint pair of functors associated to a morphism of corings over different base rings. We apply our results to corings coming from entwining structures and graded structures, and we obtain new results in the setting of entwining structures and in the graded ring theory.  相似文献

To a B-coring and a (B,A)-bimodule that is finitely generated and projective as a right A-module an A-coring is associated. This new coring is termed a base ring extension of a coring by a module. We study how the properties of a bimodule such as separability and the Frobenius properties are reflected in the induced base ring extension coring. Any bimodule that is finitely generated and projective on one side, together with a map of corings over the same base ring, lead to the notion of a module-morphism, which extends the notion of a morphism of corings (over different base rings). A module-morphism of corings induces functors between the categories of comodules. These functors are termed pull-back and push-out functors, respectively, and thus relate categories of comodules of different corings. We study when the pull-back functor is fully faithful and when it is an equivalence. A generalised descent associated to a morphism of corings is introduced. We define a category of module-morphisms, and show that push-out functors are naturally isomorphic to each other if and only if the corresponding module-morphisms are mutually isomorphic. All these topics are studied within a unifying language of bicategories and the extensive use is made of interpretation of corings as comonads in the bicategory Bim of bimodules and module-morphisms as 1-cells in the associated bicategories of comonads in Bim.  相似文献

We investigate functors between abelian categories having a left adjoint and a right adjoint that are similar (these functors are called quasi-Frobenius functors). We introduce the notion of a quasi-Frobenius bimodule and give a characterization of these bimodules in terms of quasi-Frobenius functors. Some applications to corings and graded rings are presented. In particular, the concept of quasi-Frobenius homomorphism of corings is introduced. Finally, a version of the endomorphism ring Theorem for quasi-Frobenius extensions in terms of corings is obtained.  相似文献

In this note we consider different versions of coinduction functors between categories of comodules for corings induced by a morphism of corings. In particular we introduce a new version of the coinduction functor in the case oflocally projective corings as a composition of suitable “Trace” and “Hom” functors and show how to derive it from a moregeneral coinduction functor between categories of type σ[M]. In special cases (e.g. the corings morphism is part of a morphism of measuringa-pairings or the corings have the same base ring), a version of our functor is shown to be isomorphic to the usual coinduction functor obtained by means of the cotensor product. Our results in this note generalize previous results of the author on coinduction functors between categories of comodules for coalgebras over commutative base rings.  相似文献

Let GF denote the rational points of a semisimple group G over a non-archimedean local field F, with Bruhat-Tits building X. This paper contains five main results. We prove a convergence theorem for sequences of parahoric subgroups of GF in the Chabauty topology, which enables us to compactify the vertices of X. We obtain a structure theorem showing that the Bruhat-Tits buildings of the Levi factors all lie in the boundary of the compactification. Then we obtain an identification theorem with the polyhedral compactification (previously defined in analogy with the case of symmetric spaces). We finally prove two parametrization theorems extending the Bruhat-Tits dictionary between maximal compact subgroups and vertices of X: one is about Zariski connected amenable subgroups and the other is about subgroups with distal adjoint action.  相似文献

A coring (A,C) consists of an algebra A in a symmetric monoidal category and a coalgebra C in the monoidal category of A-bimodules. Corings and their comodules arise naturally in the study of Hopf–Galois extensions and descent theory, as well as in the study of Hopf algebroids. In this paper, we address the question of when two corings (A,C) and (B,D) in a symmetric monoidal model category V are homotopically Morita equivalent, i.e., when their respective categories of comodules V A C and V B D are Quillen equivalent. As an illustration of the general theory, we examine homotopical Morita theory for corings in the category of chain complexes over a commutative ring.  相似文献

We investigate the invariant rings of two classes of finite groups G ≤ GL(n, F q) which are generated by a number of generalized transvections with an invariant subspace H over a finite field F q in the modular case. We name these groups generalized transvection groups. One class is concerned with a given invariant subspace which involves roots of unity. Constructing quotient groups and tensors, we deduce the invariant rings and study their Cohen-Macaulay and Gorenstein properties. The other is concerned with different invariant subspaces which have the same dimension. We provide a explicit classification of these groups and calculate their invariant rings.  相似文献

Let G be a semisimple algebraic group, V a simple finite-dimensional self-dual G-module, and W an arbitrary simple finite-dimensional G-module. Using the triple multiplicity formula due to Parthasarathy, Ranga Rao, and Varadarajan, we describe the multiplicities of W in the symmetric and exterior squares of V in terms of the action of a maximum-length element of the Weyl group on some subspace in V T , where T ? G is a maximal torus. By way of application, we consider the cases in which V is the adjoint, little adjoint, or, more generally, a small G-module. We also obtain a general upper bound for triple multiplicities in terms of Kostant’s partition function.  相似文献

Faugère and Rahmany have presented the invariant F5 algorithm to compute SAGBI-Grbner bases of ideals of invariant rings. This algorithm has an incremental structure, and it is based on the matrix version of F5 algorithm to use F5 criterion to remove a part of useless reductions. Although this algorithm is more efficient than the Buchberger-like algorithm, however it does not use all the existing criteria (for an incremental structure) to detect superfluous reductions. In this paper, we consider a new algorithm, namely, invariant G2V algorithm, to compute SAGBI-Grbner bases of ideals of invariant rings using more criteria. This algorithm has a new structure and it is based on the G2V algorithm; a variant of the F5 algorithm to compute Grbner bases. We have implemented our new algorithm in Maple , and we give experimental comparison, via some examples, of performance of this algorithm with the invariant F5 algorithm.  相似文献

In this article, we deal with the following two questions. For smooth actions of a given finite group G on spheres S, which smooth manifolds F occur as the fixed point sets in S, and which real G-vector bundles ν over F occur as the equivariant normal bundles of F in S? We focus on the case G is an Oliver group and answer both questions under some conditions imposed on G, F, and ν. We construct smooth actions of G on spheres by making use of equivariant surgery, equivariant thickening, and Oliver's equivariant bundle extension method modified by an equivariant wegde sum construction and an equivariant bundle subtraction procedure.  相似文献

El Kaoutit and Gómez-Torrecillas introduced comatrix corings, generalizing Sweedler's canonical coring, and proved a new version of the Faithfully Flat Descent Theorem. They also introduced Galois corings as corings isomorphic to a comatrix coring. In this paper, we further investigate this theory. We prove a new version of the Joyal-Tierney Descent Theorem, and generalize the Galois Coring Structure Theorem. We associate a Morita context to a coring with a fixed comodule, and relate it to Galois-type properties of the coring. An affineness criterion is proved in the situation where the coring is coseparable. Further properties of the Morita context are studied in the situation where the coring is (co)Frobenius.

We continue here the research on (quasi)group codes over (quasi)group rings. We give some constructions of [n,n-3,3]q-codes over Fq for n=2q and n=3q. These codes are linearly optimal, i.e. have maximal dimension among linear codes having a given length and distance. Although codes with such parameters are known, our main results state that we can construct such codes as (left) group codes. In the paper we use a construction of Reed-Solomon codes as ideals of the group ring FqG where G is an elementary abelian group of order q.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group and F be a field. Any linear code over F that is permutation equivalent to some code defined by an ideal of the group ring FG will be called a G-code. The theory of these ??abstract?? group codes was developed in 2009. A code is called Abelian if it is an A-code for some Abelian group A. Some conditions were given that all G-codes for some group G are Abelian but no examples of non-Abelian group codes were known at that time. We use a computer algebra system GAP to show that all G-codes over any field are Abelian if |G|?<?128 and |G| ? {24, 48, 54, 60, 64, 72, 96, 108, 120}, but for F?=? $ {\mathbb{F}_5} $ and G?=?S4 there exist non-Abelian G-codes over F. It is also shown that the existence of left non-Abelian group codes for a given group depends in general on the field of coefficients, while for (two-sided) group codes the corresponding question remains open.  相似文献

Let (F′, F, F″) be a comparison of left recollements of triangulated categories such that F′ and F″ are equivalences. We prove that if F is full then F is an equivalence; and on the other hand, we construct a class of examples via the derived categories of Morita rings, showing that there really exists such a comparison (F′, F, F″) so that F is not an equivalence. This is in contrast to the case of a recollement. We also give a class of examples of left recollements of homotopy categories, which can not sit in recollements.  相似文献

For a simple graph G on n vertices, the minimum rank of G over a field F, written as mrF(G), is defined to be the smallest possible rank among all n×n symmetric matrices over F whose (i,j)th entry (for ij) is nonzero whenever {i,j} is an edge in G and is zero otherwise. A symmetric integer matrix A such that every off-diagonal entry is 0, 1, or -1 is called a universally optimal matrix if, for all fields F, the rank of A over F is the minimum rank of the graph of A over F. Recently, Dealba et al. [L.M. Dealba, J. Grout, L. Hogben, R. Mikkelson, K. Rasmussen, Universally optimal matrices and field independence of the minimum rank of a graph, Electron. J. Linear Algebra 18 (2009) 403-419] initiated the study of universally optimal matrices and established field independence or dependence of minimum rank for some families of graphs. In the present paper, more results on universally optimal matrices and field independence or dependence of the minimum rank of a graph are presented, and some results of Dealba et al. [5] are improved.  相似文献

We investigate the Morita context and graded cases for weak group corings and derive some equivalent conditions for μ to be surjective. Furthermore, we develop Galois theory for weak group corings. As an application, we give Galois theory for comodulelike algebras over a weak Hopf group coalgebra.  相似文献
