Oscillation of second-order half-linear delay dynamic equations with damping on time scales

By using the generalized Riccati transformation and the inequality technique, we establish a few new oscillation criterions for certain second-order half-linear delay dynamic equations with damping on a time scale. Our results extend and improve some known results, but also unify the oscillation of the second-order half-linear delay differential equation with damping and the second-order half-linear delay difference equation with damping.

研究了时间测度链上一类具正负系数和阻尼项及非线性中立项的二阶变时滞非线性动力方程的振荡性.利用时间测度链上的有关理论及广义Riccati变换,结合大量不等式技巧,建立了该方程若干新的振动准则,这些准则不仅推广和改进了一些已知的结果,而且在时间测度链上统一了二阶非线性时滞阻尼微分方程和二阶非线性时滞阻尼差分方程的振动性质.     

一类二阶非线性变时滞微分方程的振动准则

研究二阶非线性变时滞微分方程x″(t)+p(t)f(x(g(t)))=0,对振动因子p(t)变符号的情况讨论了方程的振动性,通过两个已有引理得到了方程振动的两个充分条件.所得结论推广了原有的二阶非线性微分方程与变时滞微分方程当系数不变号时的振动性结论,完善了具变符号振动因子的二阶非线性变时滞微分方程的研究.     

时间尺度上具阻尼项的二阶半线性时滞动力方程的振动准则

利用广义Riccati变换和不等式技巧,研究了一类具阻尼项的二阶半线性时滞动力方程解的振动性质,在一定条件下,建立了四个新的振动准则,其结果不仅推广和改进了已知的一些结果,而且在时间尺度上统一了具阻尼项的二阶半线性时滞微分方程和差分方程解的振动性质.

Oscillation criteria for second-order nonlinear differential equations with damping

For a second-order nonlinear differential equation with a damping term, we obtain new oscillation criteria without an assumption that has been required for related results reported in the literature over the last two decades. Two approaches refining the standard integral averaging technique suggested in the paper can be used to derive a variety of simpler oscillation theorems for different classes of nonlinear differential equations, and both sets of oscillation criteria established in the paper are of independent interest. Several examples are provided to illustrate the relevance of the new theorems.

In this paper, we are concerned with the oscillations in a class of forced second-order differential equations with nonlinear damping terms. By using classical variational principle and averaging technique, several new interval oscillation criteria for the equations are established, which improve and extend some known results. Example is also given to illustrate the results.
