Comparison of the analytical sensitivities for non-1/v elements in different neutron beams

Irregular nuclides such as ¹¹³Cd, and some rare-earth isotopes show different analytical sensitivities in PGAA performed at different facilities, because the cross-sections of these nuclides have strong low-energy resonances which partly overlap the energy range of typical neutron beams used for activation. A series of systematic measurements has been performed in the spectrally different cold and thermal neutron beams of the Budapest Research Reactor, Hungary and at the research reactor of NIST, Gaithersburg, USA to quantitatively study the non-1/v behaviour of irregular nuclides. Samples were prepared that contained one of the irregular nuclides and also a regular one (¹⁰B, ³⁵Cl and ⁵⁶Fe) and their activation ratios were compared as measured in five different beams. Theoretical values of the activation ratios were calculated from estimates of the actual neutron spectra and cross-section data, and show a generally good correspondence to the experimental results, although some details are still not reproduced.     

Vaiidition of ORIGEN Computer Code by Measurements on Nuclear Fuels of JPDR-1

The depletion and production amounts of U, Pu, transplutonium nuclides and fission products (FPs) measured on the fuel of JPDR-1 were corrected to take account of the performance history of irradiation and cooling using the results of three-dimensional nuclear-thermo-hydrodynamic and nuclide depletion and production calculations. Except a few nuclides, the corrected values proved to agree well with the values calculated by the ORIGEN computer code. Further enhancement of calculational accuracy calls for systematic re-evaluation of neutron cross sections on the basis of neutron spectrum in nuclear fuel.     

关于气溶胶总放射性IAEA亚太地区国际比对的一些讨论

Measurement of Leakage Neutron Spectra from a Spherical Pile of Zirconium Irradiated with 14MeV Neutrons and Validation of Its Nuclear Data

In order to make a benchmark validation of the nuclear data for Zr, the leakage neutron spectrum from a Zr sphere of a 61-cm diameter was measured between 0.1 and 16MeV using a time-of-flight technique with a 14MeV neutron source facility, OKTAVIAN. The result was compared with the calculation using the Monte Carlo code MCNP-4A. To investigate the spectrum dependence on the individual neutron reactions, test calculations were carried out with the MCNP-4A code using the JENDL-3.2-based libraries, in which partial cross section values were reduced from the original values. From the comparison between the measured and the calculated spectra, it was found that each of the results could predict well the experiment in general. However, in detail, both ENDF/B-VI and EFF-2.4 gave considerable overestimation above 1 MeV. The JENDL-3.2 predicts the spectrum almost satisfactorily except below 0.8 MeV and around 10 MeV. The discrepancy found in JENDL-3.2 calculation is considered due to the cross section values of the (n, 2n) reaction and its secondary energy distributions (SED). The modified JENDL-3.2 library with the reduced (n, 2n) reaction values and the lower SED below 1 MeV reproduced the experiment with better agreement over the whole energy range.     

个人剂量监测参考辐射场刻度剂量比对校准

介绍秦山核电厂个人剂量双轨监测工作中以热释光个人剂量计开展参考辐射场刻度剂量比对校准的方法,以及2001--2012年秦山核电厂与中国辐射防护研究院进行的参考辐射场刻度剂量比对的结果。比对结果表明,对参考辐射场的剂量比对,其照射剂量与约定照射真值之间的相对偏差控制在±5％以内。以2008年上半年参考辐射场刻度剂量比对校准工作为实例,对辐射场刻度剂量比对过程中出现的问题进行了分析解决。     

γ辐射剂量率仪对宇宙射线响应及校准因子的间接校准

通过已测定和未测定宇宙射线响应的γ辐射测量仪在天然环境辐射场中的比对测量,可以确定辐射测量仪的宇宙射线响应及校准因子。选择美国通用电器公司生产的高压电离室RSS-131环境辐射监测仪作为量值传递仪器,对BH3103B便携式X-γ剂量率仪和6150闪烁体探测器γ辐射测量仪进行宇宙射线响应和校准因子的间接校准,与广东省辐射剂量计量检定站所检定的结果比较,校准因子的相对偏差分别为-2%和0;与在万绿湖对宇宙射线空气吸收剂量率的实测值比较,宇宙射线响应的相对偏差分别为-3.6%和3.1%。结果基本一致。     

Simulation of experimental spectra for medium-heavy nuclides in accelerator mass spectrometry

Some interferences are often encountered in accelerator mass spectrometry （AMS） measurements, especially for medium-heavy nuclide measurement, It is difficult for online discrimination of the nuclide of interest from the interfering ones. In order to solve this problem, we developed a method to simulate the experimental spectra of medium-heavy nuclides in AMS measurements. The results obtained from this method are in good agreement with experimental values.     

β衰变核素活度绝对测定准确度的改善：I.最可几活度的确定

应用费米理论计算了７０余种核素的β谱形、效率关系，研究了某些核素在低能区的归一化效率函数。通过估算归一化效率函数，指导实验测定最佳多项式拟合方幂和γ窗位置、确定最可几活度，并用于效率示踪技术。给出了＾１３４Ｃｓ、＾１７７Ｌｕ、＾１４７Ｎｄ、＾１２４Ｓｂ和＾６３Ｎｉ的计算和测定结果。     

胶片扫描法对低能X射线标准辐射场的研究

采用胶片剂量计测量了低能X射线辐射装置距X射线光管焦斑不同距离辐射野的大小,得出在距离光管焦斑1 000 mm的参考面辐射野大小及均匀性,并与二维矩阵电离室扫描结果进行了对比。实验结果表明,在距X射线光源焦斑1 000 mm处,在保证直径为100 mm的均匀野的条件下,非均匀性不大于1.5%。在保证非均匀性不大于5%和50%条件下,均匀野大小分别为130 mm和145 mm,满足了低能X射线空气比释动能基准装置量值复现,国际比对和向下量值传递的要求。     

Nuclear Data Sheets for A = 222

The ENSDF evaluation for A=222 mass chain (1996El01) has been updated on the basis of the experimental results, since September 1995 (literature cutoff date in 1996El01), from various reaction and decay studies for all nuclides in A=222 mass chain (Z=84 to 92). A new nuclide (²²²Po) has since been observed. In addition, new measurements have been reported in Rn, Th and Ra nuclides. The results obtained from various theoretical studies are given as comments. The updated level and decay schemes, and experimental decay and reaction data on which they are based, are summarized and presented for all the nuclides with mass number A=222. The adopted values of level energies, level spins and parities are given, and γ-ray energies, intensities, as well as other nuclear properties are presented. The references, Jπ arguments, and necessary comments are given in the text. All Q values have been adopted from 2011AuZZ. Theoretical work of 2009Mo27 was consulted.
