This paper discusses the role of macro‐ and micro‐inertial forces in the falling head permeability test. The model of flow including viscous and dynamic interaction forces is formulated. Then, the model is used to perform numerical simulations of the tests for high‐permeability soils. The presented results prove the existence of a level of permeability of materials above which macro‐and micro‐inertial forces are important and that in all cases the latter forces are dominant. The results suggest limited validity of the standard interpretation of the falling head permeability test and possible usefulness of the test to determine both permeability and the parameter characterizing non‐linear interactions of fluid and solid skeleton. 利用一种专利装置与MTS815.02型岩石力学试验系统,进行了破碎砂岩的稳态渗透试验,得到了不同孔隙率下破碎砂岩的渗透率和非Darcy流 因子。通过线性回归得到了渗透率、非Darcy流 因子与孔隙率之间的关系。认为破碎岩石的渗透特性主要是由孔隙率决定的,孔隙率不仅与当前的应力有关,更取决于加载历史。研究表明,水在破碎砂岩中的渗流一般不服从Darcy定律,而服从Forchheimer关系,特别是在小孔隙率下,非Darcy性更为突出;渗透率、非Darcy流 因子与孔隙率之间的关系可用幂函数拟合。  相似文献

A two‐scale modeling of solute transport in double‐porosity (DP) media under unsaturated water flow conditions is presented. The macroscopic model was developed by applying the asymptotic homogenization method. It is based on theoretical and empirical considerations dealing with the orders of magnitude of characteristic quantities involved in the process. For this purpose a physical model that mimics the behavior of DP medium was built. The resulting two‐equation model relies on a coupling exchange term between micro‐ and macro‐porosity subdomains associated with local non‐equilibrium solute concentrations. The model was numerically implemented (Comsol Multiphysics®) to simulate the macroscopic one‐dimensional physical process taking place into the porous medium of 3D periodic microstructure. A series of dispersion experiments of NaCl solution under unsaturated steady‐state flow conditions were performed. The experimental results were used first to calibrate the dispersion coefficient of the model, and second to validate it through two other independent experiments. The excellent agreement between the numerical simulations and the measurements of the time evolution of the non‐symmetrical breakthrough curves provides a proof of predictive capacity of the developed model. 运用岩石高压三轴加载装置和渗透压加载装置,对砂岩进行固定应力变渗透水压力试验,同时借助SOMATOMPLUS螺旋CT扫描机进行实时观测。通过试验结果分析,推出了基于CT数的岩石空隙率公式,从CT尺度上分析了岩石空隙率、渗透速度、渗流速度、微孔隙直径、渗透率等随渗透水压力的变化规律。结果表明:岩石的渗透参数随渗透压力的增加而增大,渗透参数随渗透压力的变化呈对数关系,这是由于渗透水压力使岩石内部空隙发生变形,这一变形为弹性变形;而渗流速度与渗透水压力呈线性关系,符合宏观尺度渗流的达西定律。   相似文献

为了研究土体的细观渗流特性,假设土体是完全饱和且在渗流过程中水分的流动始终处于层流状态。考虑宏观统计参数(孔隙率、渗透率及有效黏滞系数等)的影响,基于表征体元(REV)尺度的格子博尔兹曼(Boltzmann)方法,建立了压力作用下土体细观渗流的数值模型。采用D2Q9模型考虑水分流动的离散速度分布,宏观边界条件为左右侧面为不透水边界 ,上下边界设置不同的密度来控制压力边界,在微观边界条件上采用非平衡态外推格式。编制相应的计算程序,将计算区域内的多孔介质材料设置成流体(孔隙率 1.0,渗透率 ),验证了经典的Poiseuille流。此外,结合算例分别讨论了土体在压力作用下孔隙率、渗透率及渗透压力等影响因素与渗流速度的相互关系,研究表明该数值方法与Darcy定律得到的计算结果较为吻合。因此,基于REV尺度的格子Boltzmann方法可以有效地模拟土体的渗流机制,为进一步研究土体渗流特性提供了一种新的研究手段。  相似文献

弱透水层或(和)弱透水性夹层中低渗透性黏土体的存在是地面沉降赖以形成的物质基础,其渗透特征是影响地面沉降评价、模拟与预测的最基本参数之一。本文以华北平原衡水沉降中心区的钻孔黏性土样为对象,利用高压三轴渗透试验仪进行了土样的渗透试验。结果表明:黏性土体的渗透系数随土体埋深和渗透压力增加而呈现总体逐渐减小的趋势,在时间上总体表现为开始时迅速减小而后逐渐趋于稳定的特点,但是由于地下水位季节性波动或者地下水大量被抽取,部分地层黏土其渗透系数与总体趋势有所差异。最后文章结合电镜扫描试验及分形技术分析了土体微观结构对其渗透特征的控制作用。  相似文献

This study deals with the behaviour of mixtures of sand and saturated kaolin paste considered as composite materials made of permeable and deformable (with non‐linear behaviour) matrix (the kaolin paste) with rigid and impervious inclusions (the sand grains). Oedometric and permeability tests highlight the key role of the state of the clay paste, and show the existence of a threshold of sand grain concentration above which a structuring effect influences both compressibility and permeability. At the light of these experiments two homogenization schemes (with simplifying assumptions to make the problem manageable) are considered to model these two parameters. Qualitative and quantitative comparisons with experimental data point out their respective domain of interest and limitations: a tangent homogenization scheme is shown to be sufficient to describe the macroscopic properties for dilute sand concentration; above the concentration threshold, the structuring effect is captured by the new homogenization scheme developed in this paper. 基于离散单元法颗粒流理论,土体颗粒单元间采用接触黏结模型中来考虑冻土中冰的胶结作用,建立了冻结砂土的颗粒流模型。通过改变计算模型中颗粒单元的参数,模拟了在不同冻结温度以及不同围压下冻结砂土的宏观力学性质,并与冻结砂土的室内试验结果进行了比较,结果表明:颗粒流方法可以较好地模拟冻结砂土的应力-应变关系以及剪切带的发展变化过程,颗粒流细观参数对温度具有显著的依赖性。研究结果对离散单元法在特殊土中的应用具有一定的理论和应用价值。  相似文献

It is well known that for a sufficiently high seepage velocity, the governing flow law of porous media is nonlinear (J. Computers & Fluids 2010; 39 : 2069–2077). However, this fact has not been considered in the studies of soil‐pore fluid interaction and in conventional soil mechanics. In the present paper, a fully explicit dynamic finite element method is developed for nonlinear Darcy law. The governing equations are expressed for saturated porous media based on the extension of the Biot (J. Appl. Phys. 1941; 12 : 155–164) formulation. The elastoplastic behavior of soil under earthquake loading is simulated using a generalized plasticity theory that is composed of a yield surface along with non‐associated flow rule. Numerical simulations of porous media subjected to horizontal and vertical components of ground motion excitations with different permeability coefficients are carried out; while computed maximum pore water pressure is specially taken into consideration to make the difference between Darcy and non‐Darcy flow regimes tangible. Finally, the effect of non‐Darcy flow on the evaluated liquefaction potential of sand in comparison to conventional Darcy law is examined. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The problem of finite element simulation of incompressible fluid flow in porous medium is considered. The porous medium is characterized by the X‐ray microtomography technique in three dimensions. The finite calculus‐based stabilization technique is reviewed to implement the equal order finite element interpolation functions for both velocity and pressure. A noble preconditioner, the nodal block diagonal preconditioner, is considered whose performance is thoroughly investigated. Combining this preconditioner with a standard iterative solver during the computational homogenization procedure, it is possible to carry out the large‐scale fluid flow simulation for estimating permeability of the porous medium with reasonable accuracy and reliability. 对低渗透岩石的渗透性测试一般采用瞬时压力脉冲法,但该方法不能真实模拟野外高孔隙水压力、小水力梯度的现场实际条件,而且试验存在较大误差。为此开发研制了一套新型高压渗透仪,在渗透出水端安装了管路过滤器、调速阀两种器械元件,可手动任意调控流量大小,而流量大小采用精确测量渗出水体积变化量表示。试验只要保证进水端水压不变,当调控的水流量与试样的渗流量达到平衡时,则会在出水端形成一个稳定的水压值。该套试验设备不但可对圆柱体试样进行渗透性、力学特性测试,而且还可以对方柱体试样进行渗透性测试,实现了对岩石实际所处应力、高孔隙水压力环境的真实模拟。实测检验理论技术可行,达到了满意的试验效果。  相似文献

To estimate the groundwater flow around a borehole heat exchanger (BHE), thermal properties of geological core samples were measured and a thermal response test (TRT) was performed in the Tsukuba upland, Japan. The thermal properties were measured at 57 points along a 50-m-long geological core, consisting predominantly of sand, silt, and clay, drilled near the BHE. In this TRT, the vertical temperature in the BHE was also monitored during and after the test. Results for the thermal properties of the core samples and from the monitoring indicated that groundwater flow enhanced thermal transfers, especially at shallow depths. The groundwater velocities around the BHE were estimated using a two-dimensional numerical model with monitoring data on temperature changes. According to the results, the estimated groundwater velocity was generally consistent with hydrogeological data from previous studies, except for the data collected at shallow depths consisting of a clay layer. The reasons for this discrepancy at shallow depths were predicted to be preferential flow and the occurrence of vertical flow through the BHE grout, induced by the hydrogeological conditions.  相似文献

排水是岩土体及工程构筑物渗流控制的主要措施之一,其实质是通过在渗流域内形成潜在溢出边界或低水位边界而实现渗流控制的。在排水渗控条件下,渗流场往往具有强烈的边界非线性特征,Signorini型变分不等式方法从理论上为稳定和非稳定排水渗流问题提供了有效的分析方法,但其实际效果还需要得到试验的验证。通过开展含5个排水廊道的排水砂槽模型试验,研究了复杂排水条件下砂土渗流的基本规律,并通过试验数据与数值计算成果的对比分析,论证了Signorini型变分不等式方法的有效性和正确性。试验结果表明,在稳定渗流条件下,排水砂槽上游侧3个排水廊道对渗流控制起主导作用,而下游侧2个廊道则失去排水功能,数值计算与试验成果吻合较好;在非稳定渗流条件下,受测压管精度、砂样均匀性和毛细效应的影响,数值计算与试验成果存在一定偏差,但也较好地揭示了复杂排水条件下砂槽中的非稳定渗流特征。排水砂槽试验结果验证了Signorini型变分不等式方法的有效性和正确性,为复杂排水条件下岩土体及工程构筑物的渗控结构优化设计提供了有效的分析手段。  相似文献

分维理论是预测非饱和渗透系数的一种常用方法。在对有侧限条件下高庙子膨润土的非饱和渗透系数的试验结果分析后,发现分维理论并不适用,其缺陷在于不能够反映膨润土这种特殊粘土在水化过程中的微观结构变化。因为膨润土是一种纳米材料,其小孔隙和大孔隙分布在水化过程中都会发生变化,而一般性粘土和砂土没有这种特殊的物理化学特性。结合Kozeny—Carman关于多孔介质的半经验公式,提出了半经验一半理论的考虑微结构的膨润土的非饱和渗透系数计算公式。在对高庙子膨润土的扫描电镜试验和压汞试验资料分析的基础上,定性验证了所提出公式的正确性。  相似文献

This paper presents a new interpretation method for pulse tests, a field permeability test that allows for rapid measurements of hydraulic conductivity k in aquitards. This new method applies to soft clay deposits. To initiate a pulse test, a known volume of water is injected into the sand filter of a monitoring well isolated by a packer. The resulting pressure increase yields an outward movement of the sand filter cavity wall. After presenting the usual interpretation methods and their limits, this paper proposes a new interpretation method based on a coupled analysis of the pressure and displacement fields in the soil using the Biot–Darcy formulation. A series of analytical and numerical non‐dimensional velocity graphs, normalized plots of the mean hydraulic head difference versus its rate of change, are given. For a linear elastic material, these type curves show relatively small variations with the sand filter aspect ratio and the Poisson ratio of the tested clay. The type curves are also found to be independent of the clay compressibility (mv) and k, an important result. A series of pulse tests conducted in a soft marine clay deposit near Montreal, Canada, are interpreted with the proposed method. The hydraulic conductivity values calculated from these tests are closely correlated with independent estimates obtained using long‐duration variable‐head tests. Compared with previous interpretation methods, the proposed method allows soil volume changes to be reconciled with cavity expansion phenomena and the range of type curves available for the interpretation of test data to be constrained. This paper investigates the two‐dimensional flow problem through an anisotropic porous medium containing several intersecting curved fractures. First, the governing equations of steady‐state fluid flow in a fractured porous body are summarized. The flow follows Darcy's law in matrix and Poiseuille's law in fractures. An infinite transversal permeability is considered for the fractures. A multi‐region boundary element method is used to derive a general pressure solution as a function of discharge through the fractures and the pressure and the normal flux on the domain boundary. The obtained solution fully accounts for the interaction and the intersection between fractures. A numerical procedure based on collocation method is presented to compute the unknowns on the boundaries and on the fractures. The numerical solution is validated by comparing with finite element solution or the results obtained for an infinite matrix. Pressure fields in the matrix are illustrated for domains containing several interconnected fractures, and mass balance at the intersection points is also checked. This paper is aimed towards investigating the filtration law of an incompressible viscous Newtonian fluid through a rigid non-inertial porous medium (e.g. a porous medium placed in a centrifuge basket). The filtration law is obtained by upscaling the flow equations at the pore scale. The upscaling technique is the homogenization method of multiple scale expansions which rigorously gives the macroscopic behaviour and the effective properties without any prerequisite on the form of the macroscopic equations. The derived filtration law is similar to Darcy's law, but the tensor of permeability presents the following remarkable properties: it depends upon the angular velocity of the porous matrix, it verifies Hall–Onsager's relationship and it is a non-symmetric tensor. We thus deduce that, under rotation, an isotropic porous medium leads to a non-isotropic effective permeability. In this paper, we present the results of numerical simulations of the flow through rotating porous media. This allows us to highlight the deviations of the flow due to Coriolis effects at both the microscopic scale (i.e. the pore scale), and the macroscopic scale (i.e. the sample scale). The above results confirm that for an isotropic medium, phenomenological laws already proposed in the literature fails at reproducing three-dimensional Coriolis effects in all types of pores geometry. We show that Coriolis effects may lead to significant variations of the permeability measured during centrifuge tests when the inverse Ekman number Ek−1 is 𝒪(1). These variations are estimated to be less than 5% if Ek−1<0.2, which is the case of classical geotechnical centrifuge tests. We finally conclude by showing that available experimental data from tests carried out in centrifuges are not sufficient to determining the effective tensor of permeability of rotating porous media. 为揭示低渗孔隙型碳酸盐岩油藏储层微观孔隙结构特征和水驱剩余油分布特征,以中东某孔隙型碳酸盐岩油藏为例,基于油藏物性测试、恒速压汞孔喉参数统计、CT扫描孔隙参数分析和水驱油流体微观分布特征等,得出孔隙型碳酸盐岩储层的微观孔隙、喉道发育特征及其影响下的剩余油分布规律;在此基础上,将孔隙型碳酸盐岩与砂岩储层研究结果进行对比,进一步明确了两类储层孔隙结构及剩余油分布特征差异。结果表明:与低渗砂岩储层相比,低渗碳酸盐岩储层呈现出"孔隙大而数量少""喉道数量多且类型全"的特征,并建立孔喉发育特征模型;由于孔隙型微观孔隙结构的影响,低渗碳酸盐岩储层大孔隙中的剩余油仍然是需要研究的对象,同时明确了剩余油挖潜开发方式建议。  相似文献

地下水抽采是造成地表沉降的重要原因。基于弹性多孔隙介质Konzeny-Carman渗透模型,考虑地层在抽水过程中变形导致土层内部物理力学性质的改变,建立了基于土体应变的变渗透系数模型,并引入了渗透影响系数概念。运用有限元多物理场耦合软件COMSOL建立模型,采用Darcy渗流模式与弹性多孔隙介质完全耦合方法,研究了抽水过程中地层沉降量与渗透影响系数以及渗透系数的变化规律,并与实测沉降值进行对比。研究表明,采用考虑土体变形的变渗透系数模型所计算的沉降量与实测沉降变形较好地吻合,该模型能更好地反映抽水过程中沉降动态过程。  相似文献
