逐步区间删失是获取高可靠性产品相关信息的一种重要方法.文章研究了产品寿命服从Weibull分布,带有随机移除逐步区间删失寿命试验的最优设计问题.采用极大似然方法获取模型参数的估计及其信息矩阵.利用Bayesian方法处理模型参数未知情况下设计准则对模型参数的依赖问题,获得了模型参数估计的Bayesian稳健设计准则.在考虑试验费用有限制的条件下,给出了获得最优稳健设计非线性混合整数算法.同时对先验选取及约束参数设定的敏感性做了分析.数值结果表明文章提出的方法是有效可行的.  相似文献

Summary A hybrid life test procedure is discussed from the Bayesian viewpoint. A total ofn items is placed on test, failed items are either not replaced or are replaced, and the test is terminated either when a pre-chosen number,K, of items have failed, or when a pre-determined time on test has been reached. Posterior and predictive distributions are obtained under the assumption of an exponential failure distribution, and point and interval estimates are given for the mean life and the life of an untested item. ??Kundu and Gupta proposed to use the importance sampling method to compute the Bayesian estimation of the unknown parameters of the Marshall-Olkin bivariate Weibull distribution. However, we find that the performance of the importance sampling method becomes worse as the sample size gets larger. In this paper, we introduce latent variables to simplify the likelihood function, and use MCMC algorithm to estimate the unknown parameters. Numerical simulations are carried out to assess the performance of the proposed method by comparing with the maximum likelihood estimation, and we find that the Bayesian estimates perform better even for the case of small sample size. A real data is also analyzed for illustrative purpose.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to model lifetime data for systems that have failure modes by using the finite mixture of Weibull distributions. It involves estimating of the unknown parameters which is an important task in statistics, especially in life testing and reliability analysis. The proposed approach depends on different methods that will be used to develop the estimates such as MLE through the EM algorithm. In addition, Bayesian estimations will be investigated and some other extensions such as Graphic, Non-Linear Median Rank Regression and Monte Carlo simulation methods can be used to model the system under consideration. A numerical application will be used through the proposed approach. This paper also presents a comparison of the fitted probability density functions, reliability functions and hazard functions of the 3-parameter Weibull and Weibull mixture distributions using the proposed approach and other conventional methods which characterize the distribution of failure times for the system components. GOF is used to determine the best distribution for modeling lifetime data, the priority will be for the proposed approach which has more accurate parameter estimates.  相似文献

In the traditional design of reliability tests for assuring the mean time to failure (MTTF) in Weibull distribution with shape and scale parameters, it has been assumed that the shape parameter in the acceptable and rejectable populations is the same fixed number. For the purpose of expanding applicability of the reliability testing, Hisada and Arizono have developed a reliability sampling scheme for assuring MTTF in the Weibull distribution under the conditions that shape parameters in the both populations do not necessarily coincide, and are specified as interval values, respectively. Then, their reliability test is designed using the complete lifetime data. In general, the reliability testing based on the complete lifetime data requires the long testing time. As a consequence, the testing cost becomes sometimes expensive. In this paper, for the purpose of an economical plan of the reliability test, we consider the sudden death procedure for assuring MTTF in Weibull distribution with variational shape parameter.  相似文献

In this paper, the objective Bayesian method is applied to investigate the competing risks model involving both catastrophic and degradation failures. By modeling soft failure as the Wiener degradation process, and hard failures as a Weibull distribution, we obtain the noninformative priors (Jefferys prior and two reference priors) for the parameters. Moreover, we show that their posterior distributions have good properties and we propose Gibbs sampling algorithms for the Bayesian inference based on the Jefferys prior and two reference priors. Some simulation studies are conducted to illustrate the superiority of objective Bayesian method. Finally, we apply our methods to two real data examples and compare the objective Bayesian estimates with the other estimates.  相似文献

In this paper we present an exact method for computing the Weibull renewal function and its derivative for application in maintenance optimization. The computational method provides a solid extension to previous work by which an approximation to the renewal function was used in a Bayesian approach to determine optimal replacement times. In the maintenance scenario, under the assumption an item is replaced by a new one upon failure, the underlying process between planned replacement times is a renewal process. The Bayesian approach takes into account failure and survival information at each planned replacement stage to update the optimal time until the next planned replacement. To provide a simple approach to carry out in practice, we limit the decision process to a one‐step optimization problem in the sequential decision problem. We make the Weibull assumption for the lifetime distribution of an item and calculate accurately the renewal function and its derivative. A method for finding zeros of a function is adapted to the maintenance optimization problem, making use of the availability of the derivative of the renewal function. Furthermore, we develop the maximum likelihood estimate version of the Bayesian approach and illustrate it with simulated examples. The maintenance algorithm retains the adaptive concept of the Bayesian methodology but reduces the computational need. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

It is widely accepted that the Weibull distribution plays an important role in reliability applications. The reliability of a product or a system is the probability that the product or the system will still function for a specified time period when operating under some confined conditions. Parameter estimation for the three parameter Weibull distribution has been studied by many researchers in the past. Maximum likelihood has traditionally been the main method of estimation for Weibull parameters along with other recently proposed hybrids of optimization methods. In this paper, we use a stochastic optimization method called the Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) to carry out the estimation. The method is extremely flexible and inference for any quantity of interest is easily obtained.  相似文献

In life testing experiments, the skewed distributions like log-normal, Weibull, gamma and generalized gamma are the most suitable models for recording the failure time measurements. In this paper, a generalized version of log-normal distribution is proposed and its goodness-of-fit for a randomly censored data set representing the remission times of bladder cancer patients has been demonstrated and compared with other lifetime models considered in the literature. The P-P plots of Kaplan-Meier estimator against the survival functions of the considered models are used to show the goodness-of-fit. A simulation study is also performed to estimate the parameters in both the classical and Bayesian setups.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate a competing risks model based on exponentiated Weibull distribution under Type-I progressively hybrid censoring scheme. To estimate the unknown parameters and reliability function, the maximum likelihood estimators and asymptotic confidence intervals are derived. Since Bayesian posterior density functions cannot be given in closed forms, we adopt Markov chain Monte Carlo method to calculate approximate Bayes estimators and highest posterior density credible intervals. To illustrate the estimation methods, a simulation study is carried out with numerical results. It is concluded that the maximum likelihood estimation and Bayesian estimation can be used for statistical inference in competing risks model under Type-I progressively hybrid censoring scheme.  相似文献

In this report, the distribution for setting up a system reliability exposed to some stress is studied. The standard two-sided power distribution is assumed to be the underlying distribution. We obtained the exact expressions and estimates for the reliability by applying different methods such as maximum likelihood and Bayesian estimators. Three different scenarios were examined: known and equal reflection parameters, known but unequal reflection parameters, and all parameters are unknown, providing practical guidance and recommendations for the estimator design. For large samples, we recommend use of the parametric bootstrap method with the maximum likelihood estimate. Real data sets were used to illustrate the performances of the estimators.  相似文献

The Weibull distribution is widely used in applications such as reliability and lifetime studies. Although this distribution has three parameters, for simplicity, literature pertaining to Weibull parameter estimation relaxes one of its parameters in order to estimate the other two. When the three-parameter Weibull distribution is of interest, the estimation procedure is complicated. For example, the likelihood function for a three-parameter Weibull distribution is hard to maximize. In this paper, a Cross Entropy (CE) method is developed in the context of maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) of a three-parameter Weibull distribution. Performing a simulation study, a comparative analysis between the newly developed method and two existing methods is conducted. The results show the proposed method has better performance in terms of accuracy, precision and run time for different parameter settings and sample sizes.  相似文献

The reliability for Weibull distribution with homogeneous heavily censored data is analyzed in this study. The universal model of heavily censored data and existing methods, including maximum likelihood, least-squares, E-Bayesian estimation, and hierarchical Bayesian methods, are introduced. An improved method is proposed based on Bayesian inference and least-squares method. In this method, the Bayes estimations of failure probabilities are focused on for all the samples. The conjugate prior distribution of failure probability is set, and an optimization model is developed by maximizing the information entropy of prior distribution to determine the hyper-parameters. By integrating the likelihood function, the posterior distribution of failure probability is then derived to yield the Bayes estimation of failure probability. The estimations of reliability parameters are obtained by fitting distribution curve using least-squares method. The four existing methods are compared with the proposed method in terms of applicability, precision, efficiency, robustness, and simplicity. Specifically, the closed form expressions concerning E-Bayesian estimation and hierarchical Bayesian methods are derived and used. The comparisons demonstrate that the improved method is superior. Finally, three illustrative examples are presented to show the application of the proposed method.  相似文献

In life testing experiments, Type-I censoring scheme has been widely used due to its simplicity and poise with considerable gain in the completion time of an experiment. This article deals with the parameter estimation of inverse Lindley distribution when the data is Type-I censored. Estimates have been obtained under both the classical and Bayesian paradigm. In the classical scenario, estimates based on maximum likelihood and maximum product of spacings coupled with their 95% asymptotic confidence interval have been obtained. Under the Bayesian set up, the point estimate is obtained by considering squared error loss function using Markov Chain Monte Carlo technique and highest posterior density intervals based on these samples are reckoned. The performance of above mentioned techniques are evaluated on the basis of their simulated risks. Further, a real data set is analysed for appraisal of aforementioned estimation techniques under the specified censoring scheme.  相似文献

Step-stress accelerated degradation test (SSADT) is a useful tool for assessing the lifetime distribution of highly reliable products when the available test items are very few. In this paper, we discuss multiple-steps step-stress accelerated degradation models based on Wiener process, and we apply the objective Bayesian method for such analytically intractable models to obtain the noninformative priors (Jefferys prior and two Reference priors). Moreover, we show that their posterior distributions are proper, and we propose Gibbs sampling algorithms for the Bayesian inference based on the Jefferys prior and two Reference priors. Finally, we present some simulation studies to compare the objective Bayesian estimates with the other Bayesian estimate and the maximum likelihood estimates (MLEs). In this article, we study data analysis methods for accelerated life test (ALT) with blocking. Unlike the previous assumption of normal distribution for random block effects, we advocate the use of Weibull regression model with gamma random effects for making statistical inference of ALT data. To estimate the unknown parameters in the proposed model, maximum likelihood estimation and Bayesian estimation methods are provided. We illustrate the proposed methods using real data examples and simulation examples. Numerical results suggest that distribution of random effects has minimal impact on the estimation of fixed effects in the Weibull regression models. Furthermore, to demonstrate the advantage of our proposed model, we also provide methods to compare ALT plans and thus identify the optimal ALT plans.  相似文献

基于复杂系统可靠性增长试验的特点,运用Duane可靠性增长模型结合数理统计中的线性回归方法对新批次产品的可靠性参数进行预测。结合产品的少量现场试验数据,利用Bayes方法对系统的可靠性增长试验结果进行评定。文中首先给出了可靠性增长分析的模型,然后运用历次阶段试验中的可靠性增长数据建立动态参数的递推估计模型,在此基础上,运用随机变量函数的分布,给出各阶段可靠性增长试验中可靠性参数的Bayes估计。文中对Weibull、指数和二项分布三种试验结果进行分析,给出计算公式。  相似文献
