Selection of computer-integrated manufacturing technologies using a combined analytic hierarchy process and goal programming model 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Investment in computer-integrated manufacturing (CIM) is a multi-attribute problem, which includes both qualitative and quantitative factors. In order to select the best set of CIM alternatives among the competing ones it is necessary to make a trade off between the quantative and qualitative factors some of which may conflict. Selection of appropriate CIM alternatives is vital in manufacturing companies’ long-term competitiveness, and it requires development of selection models. The selection model must consider various quantative and qualitative objectives and constraints simultaneously. For example, companies have generally limited funds to invest in new advanced technology. The size of the allocated fund limits the types and number of CIM alternatives a company can select in a given time period. In this article, a combined model of the analytical hierarchy process and goal programming is proposed to consider multiple objectives and constraints simultaneously. The main objective of this paper is to propose an approach within the AHP framework for tackling the uncertainty and imprecision of service evaluations during pre-negotiation stages, where the expert’s comparison judgments are represented as fuzzy triangular numbers. A fuzzy prioritization method, which derives crisp priorities from consistent and inconsistent fuzzy comparison matrices, is described. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP)-based decision-making method can provide decision makers or buyer a valuable reference for evaluating software quality. A case study demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. Importantly, the proposed scheme can assist decision makers in assessing the feasibility of digital video recorder system to management public space, making it highly applicable for academic and commercial purposes. 相似文献

This paper is concerned with the design of an Operations System (OS) framework for implementing a proper telecommunications network in Korea Telecom. Since several types of OS frameworks are under consideration, the telecommunication network manager should now choose the best alternative for use later in establishing the infrastructure of operations systems. The decision making is done in this paper by means of a Multi-Attribute Decision-Making (MADM) analysis. A point to be noted in the present case is that the decision relevant information such as attribute weights and values of alternatives are not known exactly. Rather, these are to be taken in the form of rankings and/or bounds. To deal with such incomplete information, we employ a mathematical programming model-based MADM approach to the choice of an optimal OS framework design. This approach enables us to check dominance of alternatives and to obtain a set of non-dominated alternatives from evaluating five alternatives in reference to Telecommunications Management Network (TMN) standards.
Scope and purpose
Telecommunications Management Network (TMN) can be stated as a globalized and unified skeleton to meet the advanced operational environments of telecommunications networks and to handle heterogeneous and complex network elements. Although there are various subjects that should be addressed to accomplish TMN, we confine our attention to dealing with one important subject, design of an Operations System (OS) framework. This is necessary to manage telecommunications resources including networks in effective manner and for use as guidance in developing individual operations systems and in constructing a network management center.Several types of OS frameworks have been suggested by TMN standards. It is hence needed to evaluate each of these OS frameworks and then to choose an appropriate one in Korean TMN situation. Since this evaluation involves multiple criteria (or attributes), it is realized in this paper by a Multi-Attribute Decision-Making (MADM) analysis approach. The decision relevant information such as trade-off weights and individual criterion values are elicited from expert opinions which, however, is rather incomplete than exact numerical values. Non-traditional machining (NTM) processes are now being widely used to generate intricate and accurate shapes in materials, like titanium, stainless steel, high strength temperature resistant (HSTR) alloys, fiber-reinforced composites, ceramics, refractories and other difficult-to-machine alloys having higher strength, hardness, toughness and other diverse material properties. Generation of complex shapes in such materials by the traditional machining processes is experienced to be difficult. For effective utilization of the capabilities of different NTM processes, careful selection of the most suitable process for a given machining application is often required. Selection of the best suited NTM process for a work material and shape feature combination requires the consideration of several criteria. In this paper, an analytic network process (ANP)-based approach is proposed to select the most appropriate NTM process for a given machining application taking into account the interdependency and feedback relationships among various criteria affecting the NTM process selection decision. To avoid the difficult and time consuming mathematical calculations of the ANP, a computer program is also developed in Visual Basic 6.0 with graphical user interface to automate the entire NTM selection decision process. It simply acts as an ANP solver. The observed results from the ANP solver are quite satisfactory and match well with those obtained by the past researchers. 相似文献

Following deregulation of the mobile phones market and liberalization of the telecommunications sector, the service sector for mobile phones is becoming increasingly saturated. Telecom operators are confronted with a sluggish user growth rate and a fall in the average revenue per user (ARPU). Mobile value-added services are expected to form mobile operators' strategy to make up for the dwindling revenues obtained from users. The purpose of this study is to provide an analytical tool to select the best mobile value-added service firm providing the most customer satisfaction. This study adopts a fuzzy synthetic evaluation method, using an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to evaluate the performance of mobile value-added services system operators. This method can help consumers select the appropriate firm from the other consumers' opinions, and can help telecom operators to understand the market status of mobile value-added services as well as the prevailing consumer patterns. 相似文献

Numerous companies are expecting their knowledge management (KM) to be performed effectively in order to leverage and transform the knowledge into competitive advantages. However, here raises a critical issue of how companies can better evaluate and select a favorable KM strategy prior to a successful KM implementation. The KM strategy selection is a kind of multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) problem, which requires considering a large number of complex factors as multiple evaluation criteria. A robust MCDM method should consider the interactions among criteria. The analytic network process (ANP) is a relatively new MCDM method which can deal with all kinds of interactions systematically. Moreover, the Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) not only can convert the relations between cause and effect of criteria into a visual structural model, but also can be used as a way to handle the inner dependences within a set of criteria. Hence, this paper proposes an effective solution based on a combined ANP and DEMATEL approach to help companies that need to evaluate and select KM strategies. Information technology (IT) outsourcing has been one of the critical issues in organization management. Business process outsourcing (BPO) is an advanced type of IT outsourcing, which will be the next big wave in information technology services. Nevertheless, since prior studies have only examined issues related to traditional IS outsourcing, there have been few researches that introduce and discuss the important factors that should be considered in the decision of BPO adoption. This study describes a hierarchical ranking model to help the selection of CRM (customer relationship management) packages based on their functional and technical quality. The model is tested empirically by applying the hierarchical analytical process (AHP) to a sample of 42 CRM packages. Results indicate how functionally similar packages can differ substantially in their technical quality and, thus, in their ability to be integrated within a companys information system. The hierarchical model is verified to be dependable, since the quality-based ranking of packages is found to have a low rank-reversal probability as a consequence of managers uncertainty in weighing the relevance of different quality variables. From a practical standpoint, these results confirm that CRM packages differentiate in measurable quality variables, which can be used by practitioners as a framework to gather and evaluate software-selection information during feasibility analyses. 相似文献

随着云会计的发展,其服务的可信性受到更多的关注。针对现有评估方法难以合理有效地对其进行评估的问题,提出云会计环境下基于网络层次分析法(ANP)的会计信息系统(AIS)可信性评估方法。在综合考虑用户行业类别、评估指标之间存在依赖和反馈关系、可信性需求演化等因素对可信性评估的影响后,建立包含服务、维护、声誉3个维度的可信评估指标体系,给出可信性评估模型,在此基础上通过基于ANP的可信性评估算法得出考虑指标之间相互影响的可信评估结果。仿真结果表明,该方法能够对总体水平相近的服务得到差异性评估结论,为用户选择AIS服务提供支撑。 相似文献

Since many parts of the architecture evaluation steps of the Cost Benefit Analysis Method (CBAM) depend on the stakeholders’
empirical knowledge and intuition, it is very important that such an architecture evaluation method be able to faithfully
reflect the knowledge of the experts in determining Architectural Strategy (AS). However, because CBAM requires the stakeholders
to make a consensus or vote for collecting data for decision making, it is difficult to accurately reflect the stakeholders’
knowledge in the process. In order to overcome this limitation of CBAM, we propose the two new CBAM-based methods for software
architecture evaluation, which respectively adopt the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Analytic Network Process (ANP).
Since AHP and ANP use pair-wise comparison they are suitable for a cost and benefit analysis technique since its purpose is
not to calculate correct values of benefit and cost but to decide AS with highest return on investment. For that, we first
define a generic process of CBAM and develop variations from the generic process by applying AHP and ANP to obtain what we
call the CBAM+AHP and CBAM+ANP methods. These new methods not only reflect the knowledge of experts more accurately but also
reduce misjudgments. A case study comparison of CBAM and the two new methods is conducted using an industry software project.
Because the cost benefit analysis process that we present is generic, new cost benefit analysis techniques with capabilities
and characteristics different from the three methods we examine here can be derived by adopting various different constituent
techniques.
