为探究局部锈蚀矩形截面钢筋混凝土(RC)桥墩重度震损加固后的抗震性能,本文对拟静力破坏后的6个矩形截面RC桥墩试件进行扩大截面加固。通过加载试验,对加固桥墩试件从破坏形态、滞回特性、水平承载力、位移延性、侧向刚度以及耗能等方面进行了系统分析。结果表明:相比于普通箍筋,横向施加预应力的改进扩大截面加固方式对破坏后桥墩试件的抗震性能修复成效更佳;在同等位移幅值下,锈蚀率不断增大,桥墩试件抗震性能呈现逐渐降低的趋势;钢筋锈蚀位置上移,加固后桥墩试件的抗震性能提升;轴压比加大,加固后桥墩试件承载力和侧向刚度增大,但延性降低。  相似文献

考虑高强钢筋、ECC等高性能材料在桥梁工程中的推广应用,针对普通钢筋混凝土桥墩抗震性能相对较差的情况,研究高强钢筋ECC-RC复合桥墩的桥梁抗震性能。通过OpenSees平台建立普通RC桥墩桥梁、ECC-RC复合桥墩桥梁及高强钢筋ECC-RC复合桥墩桥梁非线性有限元模型,采用增量动力法和"能力需求比"分析方法建立桥梁各构件及系统的地震易损性曲线,探讨高强钢筋及ECC对桥梁抗震性能的影响。研究表明:ECC-RC、高强钢筋ECC-RC复合桥墩及其桥梁系统的地震易损性均有改善,且高强钢筋ECC的改善效果更显著,高强钢筋ECC-RC复合桥墩支座的地震易损性有所降低,高强钢筋及ECC的应用有助于提高桥墩和桥梁系统抗震性能和安全性,特别是在中震及大震作用下这一现象更加明显。  相似文献

针对考虑动水压力作用下桥墩内部钢筋锈蚀后抗震力学性能变化规律的问题,通过力学推导和abaqus有限元模拟研究了桥墩的力学性能,首先依托塑性铰区域高度计算公式,构建桥墩动水压力计算简化模型,通过改进有限元计算模型,提出了优化后的考虑钢筋锈蚀的桥墩计算公式。计算结果表明:动水压力作用下桥墩底部钢筋锈蚀与混凝土损伤对桥墩主压应力影响最大,其他区域钢筋锈蚀影响较小,并对桥梁承载力计算公式进行修正,为后期同类工程计算提供了理论依据。  相似文献

为研究不同加固方式对钢筋混凝土(RC)圆截面桥墩抗震性能的影响,利用OpenSees有限元软件建立了普通RC桥墩以及分别采用钢套管、碳纤维增强聚合物(CFRP)、体外预应力筋进行加固的桥墩数值分析模型,对模型输入远断层地震动,进行增量动力分析。以墩顶峰值位移角与震后残余位移角为指标,对比分析了桥墩加固前后的地震响应。结果表明:采用钢套管、体外预应力筋和CFRP加固后,RC桥墩的峰值位移与震后残余位移均减小,钢套管加固方式对桥墩峰值位移的降低幅度最大,体外预应力筋加固方式对抑制桥墩震后残余位移的效果最好;随着剪跨比的增大,3种加固方式对桥墩在地震动作用下位移响应的抑制作用均逐步减小;随着轴压比的增大,3种加固方式对RC桥墩峰值位移的抑制作用逐步降低。  相似文献

A probabilistic approach to lifetime assessment of seismic resilience of deteriorating concrete structures is presented. The effects of environmental damage on the seismic performance are evaluated by means of a methodology for lifetime assessment of concrete structures in aggressive environment under uncertainty. The time‐variant seismic capacity associated with different limit states, from damage limitation up to collapse, is assumed as functionality indicator. The role of the deterioration process on seismic resilience is then investigated over the structural lifetime by evaluating the post‐event residual functionality and recovery of the deteriorating system as a function of the time of occurrence of the seismic event. The proposed approach is applied to a three‐story concrete frame building and a four‐span continuous concrete bridge under corrosion. The results show the combined effects of structural deterioration and seismic damage on the time‐variant system functionality and resilience and indicate the importance of a multi‐hazard life‐cycle‐oriented approach to seismic design of resilient structure and infrastructure systems. Pseudo‐dynamic tests on a large‐scale model of an existing six‐pier bridge were performed at the ELSA laboratory using the substructuring technique. Two physical pier models were constructed and tested in the laboratory, while the deck, the abutments and the remaining four piers were numerically modeled on‐line. These tests on a large‐scale model of an existing bridge are the first to have been performed considering non‐linear behavior for the modeled substructure. Asynchronous input motion, generated for the specific bridge site, was used for the abutments and the pier bases. Three earthquake tests with increasing intensities were carried out, aimed at the assessment of the seismic vulnerability of a typical European motorway bridge designed prior to the modern generation of seismic codes. The experimental results confirm the poor seismic behavior of the bridge, evidenced by irregular distribution of damage, limited deformation capacity, tension shift effects and undesirable failure locations. This paper deals with the seismic response assessment of an old reinforced concrete viaduct and the effectiveness of friction‐based retrofitting systems. Emphasis was laid on an old bridge, not properly designed to resist seismic action, consisting of 12 portal piers that support a 13‐span bay deck for each independent roadway. On the basis of an OpenSEES finite element frame pier model, calibrated in a previous experimental campaign with cyclic displacement on three 1:4 scale frame piers, a more complex experimental activity using hybrid simulation has been devised. The aim of the simulation was twofold: (i) to increase knowledge of non‐linear behavior of reinforced concrete frame piers with plain steel rebars and detailing dating from the late 1950s; and (ii) to study the effectiveness of sliding bearings for seismic response mitigation. Hence, to explore the performance of the as built bridge layout and also of the viaduct retrofitted with friction‐based devices, at both serviceability and ultimate limit state conditions, hybrid simulation tests were carried out. In particular, two frame piers were experimentally controlled with eight‐actuator channels in the as built case while two frame piers and eight sliding bearings were controlled with 18‐actuator channels in the isolated case. 为精细模拟钢筋混凝土高桥墩在静力推覆荷载作用下的破坏过程,本文基于钢筋混凝土精细化纤维梁柱单元模型分析平台FENAP,对一实际的西部山区空心截面高桥墩进行了Pushover分析,通过对构件、截面和纤维层次的力-位移关系曲线分析,模拟了桥墩从墩底混凝土开裂、纵筋屈服到受压区混凝土压碎的完整破坏过程。并将FENAP平台与OpenSees计算结果进行对比,结果表明,FE-NAP平台可有效地模拟高墩在静力推覆荷载下的破坏过程和软化行为,具有较高的求解精度。进一步比较了不同轴压比、是否考虑约束混凝土效应及纵筋屈曲效应等因素对分析结果的影响,得出结论,轴压比和约束混凝土效应对高桥墩的破坏过程发展有较大影响,而纵筋屈曲效应影响较小,可忽略不计。  相似文献

为改善预制装配式桥墩的抗震性能和施工容错能力,提出一种装配式桥墩新型连接方式:超高性能混凝土(Ultra-High-Performance Concrete,UHPC)墩周连接。设计并制作1个现浇桥墩试件和1个UHPC墩周连接装配式桥墩试件,对两个试件进行拟静力试验;建立UHPC墩周连接装配式桥墩试件的三维实体非线性有限元模型,对比研究新型装配式桥墩的抗震性能及其影响因素。结果表明:UHPC墩周连接装配式桥墩与整体现浇桥墩表现出相似的抗侧力性能和自复位能力,二者的抗震性能基本等同。对比分析非线性有限元模型与实际桥墩试件的滞回曲线,二者拟合程度较高,验证了建模方法的可靠性和模拟结果的准确性。UHPC连接段高度对该装配式桥墩抗震性能的影响不大,保证钢筋搭接长度即可。轴压比、立柱高度和搭接钢筋配筋率对该装配式桥墩抗震性能的影响较为明显:在轴压比为0.1~0.3时,试件刚度和水平承载力随轴压比的增大而增大,残余位移随轴压比的增大而减小;立柱高度由2.0 m提高至2.5 m时,高度越大该装配式桥墩的水平承载能力和累积滞回耗能越小;湿接缝处搭接钢筋配筋率由1.01%增至1.57%时,该装配式桥墩的水平承载能力和残余位移相比原配筋试件性能有较明显的提升。  相似文献

After the occurrence of various destructive earthquakes in Japan, extensive efforts have been made to improve the seismic performance of bridges. Although improvements to the ductile capacities of reinforced concrete (RC) bridge piers have been developed over the past few decades, seismic resilience has not been adequately ensured. Simple ductile structures are not robust and exhibit a certain level of damage under extremely strong earthquakes, leading to large residual displacements and higher repair costs, which incur in societies with less-effective disaster response and recovery measures. To ensure the seismic resilience of bridges, it is necessary to continue developing the seismic design methodology of RC bridges by exploring new concepts while avoiding the use of expensive materials. Therefore, to maximize the postevent operability, a novel RC bridge pier with a low-cost sliding pendulum system is proposed. The seismic force is reduced as the upper component moves along a concave sliding surface atop the lower component of the RC bridge pier. No replaceable seismic devices are included to lengthen the natural period; only conventional concrete and steel are used to achieve low-cost design solutions. The seismic performance was evaluated through unidirectional shaking table tests. The experimental results demonstrated a reduction in the shear force transmitted to the substructure, and the residual displacement decreased by establishing an adequate radius of the sliding surface. Finally, a nonlinear dynamic analysis was performed to estimate the seismic response of the proposed RC bridge pier.  相似文献

Analysis of civil structures at the scale of life‐cycle requires stochastic modeling of degradation. Phenomena causing structures to degrade are typically categorized as aging and point‐in‐time overloads. Earthquake effects are the members of the latter category this study deals with in the framework of performance‐based earthquake engineering (PBEE). The focus is structural seismic reliability, which requires modeling of the stochastic process describing damage progression, because of subsequent events, over time. The presented study explicitly addresses this issue via a Markov‐chain‐based approach, which is able to account for the change in seismic response of damaged structures (i.e. state‐dependent seismic fragility) as well as uncertainty in occurrence and intensity of earthquakes (i.e. seismic hazard). The state‐dependent vulnerability issue arises when the seismic hysteretic response is evolutionary and/or when the damage measure employed is such that the degradation increment probabilistically depends on the conditions of the structure at the time of the shock. The framework set up takes advantage also of the hypotheses of classical probabilistic seismic hazard analysis, allowing to separate the modeling of the process of occurrence of seismic shocks and the effect they produce on the structure. It is also discussed how the reliability assessment, which is in closed‐form, may be virtually extended to describe a generic age‐ and state‐dependent degradation process (e.g. including aging and/or when aftershock risk is of interest). 以美国西部地区某斜交公路连续刚构桥为研究对象,研究其不等高墩易损性差异以及斜交角的改变对桥墩地震易损性的影响。考虑桥梁结构参数和地震动的不确定性,选取100条地震动,沿纵桥向输入,生成"结构-地震动"样本库,以地震动峰值加速度(PGA)为强度指标(IM),利用OpenSees软件对结构进行非线性时程分析得到桥墩动力响应,而后以桥墩曲率延性比衡量桥梁破坏状态,在确定桥墩损伤指标的基础上,采用可靠度理论得到各桥墩的地震易损性曲线,判断桥墩的损伤模式、损伤特点。在此基础上,改变桥梁斜交角度进行易损性分析,得到斜交角变化对桥墩地震易损性的影响。研究表明:该桥最矮墩发生损伤的概率大于其他桥墩,桥墩最先进入塑性的是墩顶和墩底区域;不同斜交角对桥墩的地震响应影响显著,各墩损伤破坏排序与斜交桥结构构造特点有关,同一排架墩的两侧墩柱易损性呈现与角度变化趋势相反的排列,损伤越严重,趋势越明显;对于此不等高的斜交刚构桥,最矮墩为其抗震薄弱环节,斜交角越大,越应该关注钝角处矮墩的损伤情况,并提高其设计标准,在进行斜交刚构桥抗震设计中应予以重视。  相似文献

为探究锈蚀钢筋混凝土(RC)桥墩在非正交水平荷载下的抗震性能,设计制作了4个不同加载角度构件进行拟静力实验,并利用OpenSees软件构建非线性有限元纤维模型,分析不同地震动入射角对其地震易损性的影响。结果发现:拟静力实验中,加载角度偏近弱轴,最大侧向力和屈服强度降低,达到最大侧向力的位移和屈服位移减小,极限强度降低,刚度和耗能能力下降,抗震性能减弱,但对位移延性系数影响较小;易损性分析发现:RC桥墩不同破坏状态对应的失效概率随PGA增大而增大。在PGA不变时,相同破坏状态下的失效概率随地震动入射角度由强轴趋向弱轴而增大。所做工作能为锈蚀RC桥墩的地震风险评估提供试验基础。  相似文献

The nonlinear behavior of reinforced concrete (RC) members represents a key issue in the seismic performance assessment of structures. Many structures constructed in the 1980s or earlier were designed based on force limits; thus they often exhibit brittle failure modes, strength and stiffness degradation, and severe pinching effects. Field surveys and experimental evidence have demonstrated that such inelastic responses affect the global behavior of RC structural systems. Efforts have been made to consider the degrading stiffness and strength in the simplified nonlinear static procedures commonly adopted by practitioners. This paper investigates the accuracy of such procedures for the seismic performance assessment of RC structural systems. Refined finite element models of a shear critical bridge bent and a flexure‐critical bridge pier are used as reference models. The numerical models are validated against experimental results and used to evaluate the inelastic dynamic response of the structures subjected to earthquake ground motions with increasing amplitude. The maximum response from the refined numerical models is compared against the results from the simplified static procedures, namely modified capacity spectrum method and coefficient method in FEMA‐440. The accuracy of the static procedures in estimating the displacement demand of a flexure‐critical system and shear‐critical system is discussed in detail. Bridge design should take into account not only safety and functionality, but also the cost effectiveness of investments throughout a bridge life‐cycle. This paper presents a probabilistic approach to compute the life‐cycle cost (LCC) of corroding reinforced concrete (RC) bridges in earthquake‐prone regions. The approach is developed by combining cumulative seismic damage and damage associated with corrosion due to environmental conditions. Cumulative seismic damage is obtained from a low‐cycle fatigue analysis. Chloride‐induced corrosion of steel reinforcement is computed based on Fick's second law of diffusion. The proposed methodology accounts for the uncertainties in the ground motion parameters, the distance from the source, the seismic demand on the bridge, and the corrosion initiation time. The statistics of the accumulated damage and the cost of repairs throughout the bridge life‐cycle are obtained by Monte‐Carlo simulation. As an illustration of the proposed approach, the effects of design parameters on the LCC of an example RC bridge are studied. The results are valuable in better estimating the condition of existing bridges and, therefore, can help to schedule inspection and maintenance programs. In addition, by taking into consideration the two deterioration processes over a bridge life‐cycle, it is possible to estimate the optimal design parameters by minimizing, for example, the expected cost throughout the life of the structure. A comparison between the effects of the two deterioration processes shows that, in seismic regions, the cumulative seismic damage affects the reliability of bridges over time more than the corrosion even for corrosive environments. 针对铁路少筋混凝土重力式桥墩的延性不足和抗震耗能能力较差的问题,本文提出了一种兼顾改善桥墩延性与强度的抗震措施,即在墩身底部设置局部纵向无粘结钢筋,其余墩身部分的纵向钢筋保持不变。共设计了4个桥墩模型,通过拟静力试验研究了配筋率和粘结方式对少筋混凝土重力式桥墩抗震性能的影响。结果表明:无粘结模型桥墩的破坏形式为弯曲破坏。与完全粘结的模型桥墩相比,未粘结模型桥墩的滞回曲线更加饱满,桥墩的延性性能和耗能能力均得到了显著提高,且采用无粘结方式对于低配筋率模型桥墩的延性及累积耗能的提高更加明显。配筋率对模型桥墩的刚度退化速率影响较大,且高配筋率的无粘结模型桥墩的刚度退化比低配筋率明显。  相似文献

地震作用下钢筋混凝土(RC)桥墩容易损坏。为完善RC桥墩的抗震设计及验算方法,对比最新中国和欧洲规范中关于RC桥墩的延性抗震设计及验算方法的不同之处。基于Midas/Civil软件所建立的常规连续梁桥有限元模型,对比分析采用中欧规范开展的RC桥墩延性抗震设计及验算结果。结果表明:中欧规范中关于RC桥墩的延性抗震设计理念、抗剪和变形验算方法及延性构造细节均有区别。基于中欧规范设计的RC桥墩配筋情况存在差异。与中国规范相比,欧洲规范关于RC桥墩的横向钢筋配筋率和纵筋最小配筋率要求较高,有利于保证结构的抗剪强度和延性;箍筋最大间距要求较低,不利于防止纵筋压曲。  相似文献

沿着摇摆桥墩的概念提出一种限制位移桥墩连续刚构桥体系。该体系通过对连续刚构桥墩底和承台之间采取一定措施,使桥梁在地震发生时能够在限制的位移量内活动,减小输入到桥梁结构中的能量,达到减震的目的。通过对一座铁路连续刚构桥的分析,发现这种限制位移桥墩连续刚构桥体系能大幅减小桥墩的延性和强度地震需求,减震效果明显,在选择合适的限制位移量的情况下,可保证桥墩在高烈度罕遇地震作用下几乎保持弹性工作状态,震后经简单处理即可保证使用功能,为震后救援工作带来极大便利,也大大减少了修复成本。  相似文献

An improved seismic hazard model for use in performance‐based earthquake engineering is presented. The model is an improved approximation from the so‐called ‘power law’ model, which is linear in log–log space. The mathematics of the model and uncertainty incorporation is briefly discussed. Various means of fitting the approximation to hazard data derived from probabilistic seismic hazard analysis are discussed, including the limitations of the model. Based on these ‘exact’ hazard data for major centres in New Zealand, the parameters for the proposed model are calibrated. To illustrate the significance of the proposed model, a performance‐based assessment is conducted on a typical bridge, via probabilistic seismic demand analysis. The new hazard model is compared to the current power law relationship to illustrate its effects on the risk assessment. The propagation of epistemic uncertainty in the seismic hazard is also considered. To allow further use of the model in conceptual calculations, a semi‐analytical method is proposed to calculate the demand hazard in closed form. For the case study shown, the resulting semi‐analytical closed form solution is shown to be significantly more accurate than the analytical closed‐form solution using the power law hazard model, capturing the ‘exact’ numerical integration solution to within 7% accuracy over the entire range of exceedance rate. This paper examines the calculation of the seismic demand hazard in a practice‐oriented manner via the use of seismic response analyses at few intensity levels. The seismic demand hazard is a more robust measure for quantifying seismic performance, when seismic hazard is represented in a probabilistic format, than intensity‐based assessments, which remain prevalent in seismic design codes. It is illustrated that, for a relatively complex bridge–foundation–soil system case study, the seismic demand hazard can be estimated with sufficient accuracy using as little as three intensity measure levels that have exceedance probabilities of 50%, 10% and 2% in 50 years which are already of interest in multi‐objective performance‐based design. Compared with the conventional use of the mean demand from an intensity‐based assessment(s), it is illustrated that, for the same number of seismic response analyses, a practice‐oriented ‘approximate’ seismic demand hazard is a more accurate and precise estimate of the ‘exact’ seismic demand hazard. Direct estimation of the seismic demand hazard also provides information of seismic performance at multiple exceedance rates. Thus, it is advocated that if seismic hazard is considered in a probabilistic format, then seismic performance assessment, and acceptance criteria, should be in terms of the seismic demand hazard and not intensity‐based assessments.
