Delta-hole approach developed for the pion scattering on closed shell nuclei is extended to be applied to the case of open shell nuclei. The doorway space is spanned by the states of the form |Ψ(A−1)ψ(Δ) which correspond to |Δ h states in the usual delta-hole approach for closed shell nuclei. In this approach, the effects of the couplings between elastic and inelastic channels are incorporated in a natural way. As a first application of this approach, some numerical calculations have been done for the elastic and inelastic pion scattering on 12C and the elastic scattering on 14N and 14C. The effects of the nuclear structure and the coupling between elastic and inelastic channels are discussed.  相似文献

An analysis is made of the measurements of the elastic and inelastic scattering of 46 MeV protons by 3Be and 12C. The optical and collective models are used. There is considerable ambiguity in the optical parameters, and it was not found possible to obtain good fits to cross sections and polarizations simultaneously. Large quadrupole deformations were found for both 12C (β2 ≈ 0.6) and 9Be(β2 ≈ 1). The inelastic scattering from 12C agrees best with deformation of both real and imaginary parts of the optical potential, while 9Be shows a preference for real coupling. The 14.1 MeV level in 12C is interpreted as the 4+ rotational state, while the angular distribution for the 7.6 MeV 0+ level is well described by double quadrupole excitation via the lowest 2+. Interpretations are suggested for other inelastic transitions, including the excitation of spin and isospin oscillations.  相似文献

We present an analysis of π-20Ne elastic scattering at intermediate energy basing on the α+16O model of the 20Ne nucleus and in the framework of Glauber multiple scattering theory. Satisfactory agreement with the general features of the experimental data of pion elastic scattering on the neighboring 4N-type nuclei is obtained without any free parameters. Compared with the experimental angular distributions of pion elastic scattering on 12C, 16O, 24Mg, and 28Si nuclei, the diffractive patterns and the positions of the dips and peaks in the angular distributions of π-20Ne elastic scattering are reasonably predicted by the calculations.  相似文献

Abstract Within the framework of the estended optical model, the gross resonant structures of the fusion escitation functions and the elastic scattering excitation functions for the 12C+12C and the 16O+20Ne systems are described well by using deep optical potentials. The origin of the gross resonant structures and the effect of the deep potential and the parity-dependent potential are discussed.  相似文献

Recently a new formalism has been developed to described nuclear electromagnetic response within the continuum RPA theory. This model is extended in order to calculate cross sections for weak interactions in nuclei, in particular for inelastic neutrino scattering. The results of a numerical analysis are presented for 12C and 16O. We consider neutrino spectra like those generated in muon decay (relevant for terrestrial experiments) or in a supernova explosion. For the latter case we calculate neutral current cross sections for various neutrino-induced particle reactions on 12C and 16O, relevant for the ν-nucleosynthesis.  相似文献

Based on Glauber Multiple Scattering Theory, high-energy proton elastic scattering on halo-like nucleus ^13C is studied in a single nucleon wave function with low angular momentum configurations. A great agreement with experimental data is obtained and the theoretical prediction clearly shows that 13U has a neutron halo-like structure. Then, the origin and nature of nuclear halo phenomena are explained in terms of nuclear short-range correlations. Our conclnsion shows ttiat the origin of nuclear halo-like phenomena originates from short range nuclear correlation.  相似文献

The α -target semimicroscopic single folding potentials have been derived by folding a composite (repulsive and attractive) effective α-α interaction with the α -cluster distribution density in the target nuclei. The obtained potentials are considered as the real part of the nuclear optical model potentials, while the imaginary parts are phenomenologicaly expressed using the Woods-Saxon form. Nine sets of measured experimental data of the 4He+12C and 4He+16O elastic rainbow scattering over the energy range 80-240 MeV are analyzed using the obtained potentials. The data are successfully reproduced using the extracted potentials. The resulted reaction cross sections are also investigated and compared with the available corresponding data.  相似文献

The quasi-Δ, doorway state model, previously developed to describe pion-nucleus scattering, [1] is applied to the study of cohe-rent π photoproduction on nuclei. The unifying features of this approach for pion elastic scattering and photoproduction are briefly discussed. The relationship to W. Weise's isobar-hole model calculation and plane wave impulse approximation calculations are examined. The results are presented for 16O(γ, π0)16O and 12C(γ, π0)12C, and compared with the available experimental data. It has a large suppression of cross section from the impulse approximation prediction.  相似文献

The equivalent bare optical potentials have been calculated for the inelastic scattering of 16O and 13C by 40Ca at 60 and 68 MeV, respectively. The potentials obtained are quite consistent with those found phenomenologically by coupled-channels calculations. The shape of the bare potential is interpreted by showing the significant contribution of the nuclear—Coulomb cross term.  相似文献

The differential cross sections of the inelastic scattering 6f K+ at 800 MeV/c on 2+, 3- excited states of 12C are calculated by means of the eikonal approximation and the collective coordinate. It seems that the 2+ state of 12C is quadrupole rotational state, the 3- state of 12C is octupole vibrational state. The results are in agreement with experimental data.  相似文献

Nucleon emission in the quasi-elastic region is studied for the 12C(e, e'p) and 12C(e, e'n) reactions. We present a model which couples the one-nucleon emission channels microscopically and treats the multi-nucleon emission channels phenomenologically. We analyze the spectral functions extracted from the 12C(e, e'p)11B reaction measured at NIKHEF-K and Saclay and make predictions for the 12C(e, e'n)11C spectral functions. The ratio of the 12C(e, e'p)11B and 12C(e, e'n)11C spectral functions is found to depend strongly on the two-nucleon interaction. We analyze the contribution of the one-proton and one-neutron emission channels to the inclusive longitudinal and transverse response functions. Our analysis suggests the importance of multi-nucleon emission in the quasi-elastic region. The ratio of the experimental transverse-to-longitudinal structure functions is satisfactorily reproduced.  相似文献

Angular distributions of elastic scattering and inelastic scattering from 2+1 state are measured for 16O+142,144,146Nd systems at several energies in the vicinity of the Coulomb barrier. The angular distributions are systematically analyzed in coupled channel framework. Renormalized double folded real optical and coupling potentials with DDM3Y interaction have been used in the calculation. Relevant nuclear densities needed to generate the potentials are derived from shell model wavefunctions. A truncated shell model calculation has been performed and the calculated energy levels are compared with the experimental ones. To simulate the absorption, a ‘hybrid’ approach is adopted. The contribution to the imaginary potential of couplings to the inelastic channels, other than the 2+1 target excitation channel, is calculated in the Feshbach formalism. This calculated imaginary potential along with a short ranged volume Woods–Saxon potential to simulate the absorption in fusion channel reproduces the angular distributions for 16O+146Nd quite well. But for 16O+142,144Nd systems additional surface absorption is found to be necessary to fit the angular distribution data. The variations of this additional absorption term with incident energy and the mass of the target are explored.  相似文献

The elastic scattering angular distributions of 11B projectile on light, medium, and heavy target nuclei including 7Li, 9Be, 12C, 16O, 24,25,26Mg, 27Al, 28Si, 40Ca, 58Ni, 59Co, 60Ni, 197Au, 208Pb, and 209Bi have been analyzed at various incident energies. The theoretical results have been obtained by using two different nuclear potentials within the framework of the optical model (OM). Firstly, the double folding potential for real part and the Wood-Saxon (WS) potential for imaginary part have been applied. Secondly, the calculations with double folding potential for both real and imaginary part have been performed and compared with the experimental data. It has been seen that the results are in very good agreement with the experimental data. Also, the volume integrals and cross-sections for each reaction have been obtained. Finally, a new and simple formula for the imaginary potential depth has been derived to clarify the nuclear interactions of 11B nucleus at low energy reactions.  相似文献

Elastic and inelastic η-photoproduction from complex nuclei is studied in a distorted-wave impulse approximation (DWIA) framework. The elementary operator is obtained by using a dynamical model which employs the reactions πN→πN, πN→ππN and πp→ηn to fix the hadronic vertex as well as the isobar propagators and the process γN→πN to constrain the electromagnetic vertex. The nuclear structure input for the inelastic transitions has been extracted from electron-scattering form factors. The η final-state interaction has been included via a simple optical potential using the ηN t-matrix as an input. We find that coherent η-production is dominated by the D13(1520) isobar while spin-flip transitions to excited nuclear states are sensitive to the S11(1535) resonance. Predictions are given for coherent production on 4He, 12C and 40Ca, as well as incoherent production on 6Li, 10B and 12C.  相似文献

Based on the LCNO model with double alpha transfer and on the optical model, the experimental excitation functions and the angular distributions of 20Ne + 12C and 16O + 16O elastic scatterings are respectively reproduced by using approximately equal parameters of optical potentials. The difference and the similarity exhibited in the elastic scattering excitation functions of these two systems are naturally explained.  相似文献

Coherent π0 photo- and electroproduction on 4He and 12C nuclei is investigated in the framework of a distorted wave impulse approximation in momentum space. The elementary process is described by the recently developed unitary isobar model. Medium effects are considered by introducing a phenomenological Δ self-energy. Recent experimental data for 4He and 12C can be well described over a wide range of energies and emission angles by the assumption that the Δ–nuclear interaction saturates.  相似文献

The differential cross section of the inelastic scattering of pion at 800 MeV/c fir the 3- excited states of 12C is calculated by making use of eikonal approximation and the collective coordinate. The calculation indicates that the 3- state of 12C is octupole vibrational state. The results are in agreement with experimental data.  相似文献

The recent data on both elastic and inelastic scattering of 1 GeV protons by 40Ca and 208Pb are analyzed by means of the first term of the multiple scattering series for the optical potential and the DWIA. Theory and experiment agree quite well. Coulomb effects are taken into account. Neutron and proton ground state densities given by Hartree-Fock calculations employing a density-dependent Hamiltonian and which provide a good fit to elastic electron scattering are used. The Tassie form factors, normalized by comparison with inelastic electron scattering, are employed in the DWIA.  相似文献
