emitted in an air scintillator is focused by the lens at the tip of a quartz optical fiber and transmitted to the photocathode
of a photomultiplier tube. The sensitivity of the measuring channel is determined using a standard ribbon lamp. Bremsstrahlung
pulses producing an exposure of 0.18 C/kg at the bremsstrahlung beam axis in a ∼20-ns time interval are detected at the ЛИУ-30
electron accelerator with a high accuracy. This exposure corresponds to an absorbed dose rate, integrated over the beam diameter,

A linear sliding contact with self-lifting capability due to squeeze film action was theoretically investigated. It was found that this type of contact can operate under a wide range of frequency and load conditions. Calculations for frequency of up to 4000 Hz and the mass of up to 800 g indicate that a air film with thickness of a few microns can be created.It is the unsymmetrical pressure distribution in a time period or positive mean film force that makes squeeze air film contact able of self-levitation. The mean film force is equal to the weight supported. A physical rationale for the load-carrying capacity of a squeeze air film is that because of the viscous resistance around contact boundary, the air is repeatedly compressed and expanded in the central part of the contact, which results in a positive mean film force. 相似文献

A noninvasive, pneumatic, low-flow, differential, hot-wire, top-surface sensing device is described and demonstrated for use in the Etec ALTA® mask and reticle writer. This apparatus, a nanometer-level autofocus air gauge, is capable of sensing the distance from the final objective lens to the top surface of the photoresist with greater than 0.1 μm accuracy, 100-Hz bandwidth, and less than 10 nm of peak-to-peak noise. It can do this quite independent of the resist’s surface or bulk properties, such as the dielectric constant. The engineering requirements and efficacy of hot-wire sensing are developed and implemented. The theory, in general, for modeling hot wires in this device, as well as the fundamental time constants, transmission line effects, and constraints, are discussed. The necessary electronic circuitry for creating constant temperature bridges using hot wires and running them differentially is also developed and implemented. Results and data are included. 相似文献

The theory of tension shells of revolution forms the basis for an investigation of profiles suitable for use as hot air balloons. These profiles are required to obey certain constraints believed reasonable in the light of practice. A limited series of small-scale experiments was undertaken to confirm characteristics.
