Mesoporous TiO2 thin films were synthesized by sol-gel processing using an aqueous-based, inexpensive, and environmentally friendly precursor and cationic surfactants as templates under mild reaction conditions. The films were prepared by spin-coating on glass substrates followed by calcination to remove the surfactant. N2 sorption, X-ray diffraction, and transmission electron microscopy were used to characterize the porosity, pore size, and pore structure before and after calcination. Films were found to have wormlike pore structures after calcination and surface areas on the order of 200 m2/g. These results show that the mesostructure and porosity of the thin films can be controlled by the surfactant template chemistry such as surfactant/Ti ratio, pH, and rate of solvent evaporation.  相似文献

Mesoporous titania-silica composite films with highly aligned cylindrical pores are prepared by the sol-gel method using a substrate with structural anisotropy. The strong alignment effect of a rubbing-treated polyimide film on a substrate provides a narrow alignment distribution in the plane of the film regardless of the fast condensation rate of titania precursors. The collapse of the mesostructure upon the surfactant removal is effectively suppressed by the reinforcement of the pore walls with silica by exposing the as-deposited film to a vapor of a silicon alkoxide. The existence of a silica layer on the titania pore wall is proved from the distributions of Ti and Si estimated by the elemental analysis in high resolution electron microscopy. The obtained mesoporous titania-silica composite film exhibits a remarkable birefringence reflecting the highly anisotropic mesoporous structure and the high refractive index of titania that forms the pore wall. The Δn value estimated from the optical retardation and the film thickness is larger than 0.06, which cannot be achieved with the conventional mesoporous silica films with uniaxially aligned mesoporous structure even though the alignment of the pores in the films is perfect. These inorganic films with mesoscopic structural anisotropy will find many applications in the field of optics as phase plates with high thermal/chemical/mechanical stabilities.  相似文献

Starting from colloidal TiO2 nanoparticles in combination with tetraethyl orthosilicate using neutral Pluronic or cationic cetyltrimethylammonium as templates, a series of structured mesoporous silicas has been obtained. The structure of the mesoporous titania was confirmed by isothermal gas adsorption, transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction. The pore diameter ranged between 3.8 and 10.9 nm, and the BET surface area varied from 99 to 584 m2 g(-1). The photocatalytic activity of these samples for the degradation of phenol in aqueous solution has been compared with that of standard P-25 TiO2. Even though the activity of these new mesostructured materials is lower that those found for P-25 TiO2, the turnover frequency of the photocatalytic activity (moles of phenol degraded per Ti atom present at initial reaction time) is much higher for the mesoporous titania, particularly with low titanium contents for those materials (mpTiO2-5 and TiO2SBA15-5).  相似文献

Titanium dioxide mesoporous microspheres with high surface area was successfully prepared by a facile one-step hydrothermal approach using polyethylene glycol (PEG, MW 200) as the soft template. Study shows that ∼15 nm TiO2 nanoparticles was assembled into ∼1.1 μm mesoporous microspheres. The Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area of TiO2 microsphere is up to 137 m2/g. TiO2 mesoporous microspheres were fabricated onto the surface of fluorine-doped tin oxide glass and used as the photoanode of dye-sensitized solar cells, which exhibits an open circuit photovoltage of 0.80 V and an overall conversion efficiency of 6.6%. Owing to the enhanced dye loading and light-harvesting efficiency, a 26% improvement in the overall conversion efficiency was achieved when compared with the commercial Degussa P25 nanoparticles.  相似文献

Photocurrent was observed upon monochromatic illumination of an ITO electrode coated with a TiO2 nanocrystalline mesoporous membrane with carotenoid 8′-apo-β-caroten-8′-oic acid (ACOA) deposited as a sensitizer (illuminated area 0.25 cm2) and immersed in an aqueous 10 mM hydroquinone (H2Q), 0.1 M NaH2PO4 solution (pH = 7.4) purged with argon, using a platinum flag counter electrode (area 3.3 cm2) and a SCE reference electrode. The carotenoid-sensitized short-circuit photocurrent reached 4.6 μA/cm2 upon a 40 μW/cm2 incident light beam at 426 nm, with an IPCE (%, incident monochromatic photon-to-photocurrent conversion efficiency) as high as 34%. The short-circuit photocurrent was stable during 1 h of continuous illumination with only a 10% decrease. An open-circuit voltage of 0.15 V was obtained (upon 426 nm, 40 μW/cm2 illumination) which remained at a constant value for hours. The observed open-circuit voltage is close to the theoretical value (0.22 V) expected in such a system. The action spectrum resembled the absorption spectrum of ACOA bound on the TiO2 membrane with a maximum near 426 nm. No decay of the ACOA on the TiO2 surface was observed after 12 h, presumably because of rapid regeneration of ACOA from ACOA+ at the surface by electron transfer from H2Q.  相似文献

The formation of mesoporous TiO2 spheres via a facile chemical process   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
The mesoporous TiO(2) solid and hollow spheres have been synthesized via a controllable and simple chemical route. Structural characterization indicates that these TiO(2) mesoporous spheres after calcined at 500 degrees C have an obvious mesoporous structure with the diameters of 200-300 nm for solid spheres and 200-500 nm for hollow spheres. The average pore sizes and BET surface areas of the mesoporous TiO(2) solid and hollow spheres are 6.8, 7.0 nm and 162, 90 m(2)/g, respectively. Optical adsorption investigation shows that TiO(2) solid and hollow spheres possess a direct band gap structure with the optical band gap of 3.68 and 3.75 eV, respectively. A possible formation mechanism for TiO(2) solid and hollow spheres is discussed.  相似文献

Highly dispersed gold particles (<2 nm) were synthesized within the pores of mesoporous silica with pore sizes ranging from 2.2 to 6.5 nm and different pore structures (2D-hexagonal, 3D-hexagonal, and cubic). The catalysts were reduced in flowing H2 at 200 degrees C and then used for CO oxidation at temperatures ranging from 25 to 400 degrees C. The objective of this study was to investigate the role of pore size and structure in controlling the thermal sintering of Au nanoparticles. Our study shows that sintering of Au particles is dependent on pore size, pore wall thickness (strength of pores), and pore connectivity. A combination of high-resolution TEM/STEM and SEM was used to measure the particle size distribution and to determine whether the Au particles were located within the pores or had migrated to the external silica surface.  相似文献

A type of anhydrous electrorheological (ER) material of copper phthalocyanine (CuPC)-doped mesoporous TiO2 was synthesized by in situ micelle-assisted incorporation CuPC during mesoporous TiO2 synthesis. TEM, XRD and the nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms demonstrated that the material had mesoporous structure and an anatase framework. The ER behavior of the suspensions of CuPC-doped mesoporous TiO2 in silicone oil with the different volume fractions was investigated under an applied electric field. It is found that the suspensions showed visible electrorheological behavior which were compared with that of pure TiO2. The dopants of CuPC molecules within the mesochannel of TiO2 mesoporous sieve improved the conductivity of the particles and produced a proper conductivity of approximately 10(-7) S m(-1). Dielectric spectra of the ER fluid were measured to examine the peak of epsilon' should appear in the frequency range of 10(2)-10(5) Hz and have a large Deltaepsilon' in this frequency range. Therefore, the both properties may make a conjunct effect on electrorheological behavior.  相似文献

The effects of trace element doping of TiO2 on the crystal growth and on the anatase-to-rutile phase transformation of TiO2 were investigated. The co-precipitation process, from sulfate solution, of doped (Cr, Fe, V, Nb, Si, P) TiO2 was also studied. The heating temperatures were 473, 673, 873, 993, 1133 K and a higher temperature needed to achieve a rutile content of 98–99%. Traces of reduced titanium were found in freshly calcined anatase by X-ray diffraction. Pure anatase structure was found in 85% of the samples heated below 1000 K. Anatase-to-rutile transformation was accelerated by the mmol% content of Nb, Cr, Si, and Fe in TiO2. Interaction of co-precipitated or impregnated cations was found critical in the phase transformation process. Nb retarded the crystal growth during calcination. Sulfate ions minimized the specific surface area of TiO2 heated at low temperatures. These results of doped TiO2 serve to promote the development of new high-technology TiO2 products for photocatalytic purposes.  相似文献

In this paper, the role of the trace ammonium ions on the stability of TiO2 sol prepared by peroxo titanic acid (PTA) sol was investigated. The results showed that the removal of ammonium ions in PTA sol is beneficial to reduce agglomeration and increase the negative charge on the surface of TiO2 colloidal particles, contributing to the higher stability and longer storage time of the TiO2 sol. It was also approved by the increase of interaction energy calculated by classical DLVO theory. In addition, the photocatalytic performance of TiO2 sol was improved due to the decrease of aggregation of TiO2 colloidal particles.  相似文献

用苯乙烯-丙烯酸丁酯乳液共聚物包覆纳米TiO2,制备出P(St-BA)/TiO2复合粒子.利用扫描电子显微镜、偏光显微镜、差示扫描量热分析法和力学性能测试,研究复合纳米粒子对聚丙烯(PP)的结晶行为、力学性能和抗紫外光老化性能的影响.结果表明,P(St-BA)/TiO2复合纳米粒子能使PP的球晶尺寸得到细化,更好地分散在基体树脂中.改性TiO2纳米粒子能有效提高PP的力学性能和抗紫外光老化性能,PP的断裂伸长率从89%提高到106%;缺口冲击强度从2.6 KJ/m2提高到了3.4KJ/m2.经紫外光老化500h后,断裂伸长率保持率为31%,PP仅为8%;老化后缺口冲击强度保持率为65%,PP为31%.  相似文献

An interconnected Au nanoparticle arrangement is obtained by electrodeposition from Au(III) soluble complexes within the pore system of block-copolymer templated mesoporous titania films. The resulting Au@TiO2 nanocomposites (5 nm Au particles, 5.5 nm amorphous titania walls) have the electrochemical behavior of a gold electrode of high surface area. The attenuation of Au surface plasmon due to -OH electroadsorption and the existence of mixed localized states in these Au@TiO2 nanocomposites are observed by in situ spectroelectrochemistry.  相似文献

The optical properties of spin-coated titanium dioxide films have been tuned by introducing mesoscale pores into the inorganic matrix. Differently sized pores were templated using Pluronic triblock copolymers as surfactants in the sol-gel precursor solutions and adjusted by varying the process parameters, such as the polymer concentration, annealing temperature, and time. The change in refractive index observed for different mesoporous anatase films annealed at 350, 400, or 450 °C directly correlates with changes in the pore size. Additionally, the index of refraction is influenced by the film thickness and the density of pores within the films. The band gap of these films is blue-shifted, presumably due to stress the introduction of pores exerts on the inorganic matrix. This study focused on elucidating the effect different templating materials (Pluronic F127 and P123) have on the pore size of the final mesoporous titania film and on understanding the relation of varying the polymer concentration (taking P123 as an example) in the sol-gel solution to the pore density and size in the resultant titania film. Titania thin film samples or corresponding titanium dioxide powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction, cross-section transmission electron microscopy, nitrogen adsorption, ellipsometery, UV/vis spectrometry, and other techniques to understand the interplay between mesoporosity and optical properties.  相似文献

The effect of certain promoters on TiO2 crystal structure transformation was studied by mean thermal and X-ray analyses. It was found that the addition of rutile nuclei and potassium, phosphorus, zinc, magnesium, and aluminium compounds to hydrated titanium dioxide before calcination process influences on the initial temperature and anatase transformation.
Zusammenfassung Mittels Thermo- und Röntgendiffraktionsanalyse wurde der Einfluß gewisser Beschleuniger für Strukturumwandlungen in TiO2-Kristallen untersucht. Man fand, daß ein Zusatz von Rutilkernen und Kalium-, Phosphor-, Zink-, Magnesium- und Aluminiumverbindungen zu hydratiertem Titanoxid die Anfangstemperatur und das Ausmaß der Anatas-Umwandlung beeinflussen.

The growth kinetics of gypsum was studied in supersaturated solutions both in pure water and in the presence of NaCl, using a seeded growth technique. Radioactive tracer techniques were employed to follow the growth process.The mean linear growth rate R was plotted against the relative supersaturation σ. For low σ values the relation between R and σ is given by a linear law, for higher σ values by a parabolic law and for the highest σ values by a growth “order” higher than two.It was shown that the addition of sodium chloride increased the crystallization rate remarkably. The higher the NaCl concentration the higher the growth rate.  相似文献
