In this paper, vector-valued multiresolution analysis and orthogonal vector-valued wavelets are introduced. The definition for orthogonal vector-valued wavelet packets is proposed. A necessary and sufficient condition on the existence of orthogonal vector-valued wavelets is derived by means of paraunitary vector filter bank theory. An algorithm for constructing a class of compactly supported orthogonal vector-valued wavelets is presented. The properties of the vector-valued wavelet packets are investigated by using operator theory and algebra theory. In particular, it is shown how to construct various orthonormal bases of L2(R, Cs) from the orthogonal vector-valued wavelet packets.  相似文献

This article aims at studying two-direction refinable functions and two-direction wavelets in the setting ?s, s > 1. We give a sufficient condition for a two-direction refinable function belonging to L2(?s). Then, two theorems are given for constructing biorthogonal (orthogonal) two-direction refinable functions in L2(?s) and their biorthogonal (orthogonal) two-direction wavelets, respectively. From the constructed biorthogonal (orthogonal) two-direction wavelets, symmetric biorthogonal (orthogonal) multiwaveles in L2(?s can be obtained easily. Applying the projection method to biorthogonal (orthogonal) two-direction wavelets in L2(?s, we can get dual (tight) two-direction wavelet frames in L2(?m, where. ms From the projected dual (tight) two-direction wavelet frames in L2(?m, symmetric dual (tight) frames in L2(?m can be obtained easily. The concept of a two-direction multiscaling functions is introduced. We investigate the existence of solutions of the two-direction matrix refinable equation
where r × r matrices {P k + } and {P k } are called the positive-direction and negative-direction masks, respectively. Necessary and sufficient conditions that the above two-direction matrix refinable equation has a compactly supported distributional solution are established. The definition of orthogonal two-direction multiscaling function is presented, and the orthogonality criteria for two-direction multiscaling function is established. An algorithm for constructing a class of two-direction multiscaling functions is obtained. In addition, the relation of both orthogonal two-direction multiscaling function and orthogonal multiscaling function is discussed. Finally, construction examples are given.  相似文献

The concept of two-direction refinable functions and two-direction wavelets is introduced. We investigate the existence of distributional(or L~2-stable) solutions of the two-direction refinement equation: (?)(x)=(?)p_k~ (?)(mx-k) (?)p_k~-(?)(k-mx), where m≥2 is an integer.Based on the positive mask {p_k~ } and negative mask {p_k~-},the conditions that guarantee the above equation has compactly distributional solutions or L~2-stable solutions are established.Furthermore,the condition that the L~2-stable solution of the above equation can generate a two-direction MRA is given.The support interval of (?)(x) is discussed amply.The definition of orthogonal two-direction refinable function and orthogonal two-direction wavelets is presented,and the orthogonality criteria for two-direction refinable functions are established.An algorithm for construct- ing orthogonal two-direction refinable functions and their two-direction wavelets is presented.Another construction algorithm for two-direction L~2-refinable functions,which have nonnegative symbol masks and possess high approximation order and regularity,is presented.Finally,two construction examples are given.  相似文献

In this article, we introduce vector-valued multiresolution analysis and the biorthogonal vector-valued wavelets with four-scale. The existence of a class of biorthogonal vector-valued wavelets with compact support associated with a pair of biorthogonal vector-valued scaling functions with compact support is discussed. A method for designing a class of biorthogonal compactly supported vector-valued wavelets with four-scale is proposed by virtue of multiresolution analysis and matrix theory. The biorthogonality properties concerning vector-valued wavelet packets are characterized with the aid of time–frequency analysis method and operator theory. We investigate the construction of two-direction tight wavelet frames First, a sufficient condition for a two-direction refinable function generating two-direction tight wavelet frames is derived. Second, a simple constructive method of two-direction tight wavelet frames is given. Third, based on the obtained two-direction tight wavelet frames, one can construct a symmetric multiwavelet frame easily. Finally, some examples are given to illustrate the results.  相似文献

The construction of nonseparable and compactly supported orthonormal wavelet bases of L 2(R n ); n ≥ 2, is still a challenging and an open research problem. In this paper, we provide a special method for the construction of such wavelet bases. The wavelets constructed by this method are dyadic wavelets. Also, we show that our proposed method can be adapted for an eventual construction of multidimensional orthogonal multiwavelet matrix masks, candidates for generating multidimensional multiwavelet bases.   相似文献

In this paper, we introduce biorthogonal multiple vector-valued wavelets which are wavelets for vector fields. We proved that, like in the scalar and multiwavelet case, the existence of a pair of biorthogonal multiple vector-valued scaling functions guarantees the existence of a pair of biorthogonal multiple vector-valued wavelet functions. 基于仿酉矩阵的对称扩充方法,该文提出了一种尺度因子为3的紧支撑高维正交对称小波构造算法.即设φ(x)∈L~2(R~d)是尺度因子为3的紧支撑d维正交对称尺度函数,P(ξ)是它的两尺度符号,p_(0,v)(ξ)为P(ξ)的相位符号.首先提出一种向量的对称正交变换,应用对称正交变换对3~d维向量(p_(0,v)(ξ))_v,v∈E_d的分量进行对称化.通过仿酉矩阵的对称扩充,给出了3~d-1个紧支撑高维正交对称小波构造.这种方法构造的小波支撑不超过尺度函数的支撑.最后给出一个构造算例.  相似文献

We present a new local Craya–Herring decomposition of three-dimensional vector fields using compactly supported biorthogonal wavelets. Therewith vector-valued function spaces are split into two orthogonal components, i.e., curl-free and divergence-free spaces. The latter is further decomposed into toroidal and poloidal parts to decorrelate horizontal from vertical contributions which are of particular interest in geophysical turbulence. Applications are shown for isotropic, rotating and stratified turbulent flows. A comparison between isotropic and anisotropic orthogonal Craya–Herring wavelets, built in Fourier space and thus not compactly supported, is also given.  相似文献

We describe a method for constructing compactly supported orthogonal wavelets on a locally compact Abelian group G which is the weak direct product of a countable set of cyclic groups of pth order. For all integers p, n ≥ 2, we establish necessary and sufficient conditions under which the solutions of the corresponding scaling equations with p n numerical coefficients generate multiresolution analyses in L 2(G). It is noted that the coefficients of these scaling equations can be calculated from the given values of p n parameters using the discrete Vilenkin-Chrestenson transform. Besides, we obtain conditions under which a compactly supported solution of the scaling equation in L 2(G) is stable and has a linearly independent system of “integer” shifts. We present several examples illustrating these results.  相似文献
