The oxidation of CH4 over Pt–NiO/δ-Al2O3 has been studied in a fluidised bed reactor as part of a major project on an autothermal (combined oxidation–steam reforming) system for CH4 conversion. The kinetic data were collected between 773 and 893 K and 101 kPa total pressure using CH4 and O2 compositions of 10–35% and 8–30%, respectively. Rate–temperature data were also obtained over alumina-supported monometallic catalysts, Pt and NiO. The bimetallic Pt–NiO system has a lower activation energy (80.8 kJ mol−1) than either Pt (86.45 kJ mol−1) and NiO (103.73 kJ mol−1). The superior performance of the bimetallic catalyst was attributed to chemical synergy. The reaction rate over the Pt–NiO catalyst increased monotonically with CH4 partial pressure but was inhibited by O2. At low partial pressures (<30 kPa), H2O has a detrimental effect on CH4 conversion, whilst above 30 kPa, the rate increased dramatically with water content.  相似文献

Indirect partial oxidation (IPOX) of a 75:25 propane:n-butane mixture, which was used as a model for LPG, was studied over the bimetallic 0.2 wt%Pt–15 wt%Ni/δ-Al2O3 catalyst in 623–743 K temperature range. The effects of steam to carbon ratio (S/C), carbon to oxygen ratio(C/O2) and residence time (W/F (g cat-h/mol LPG)) on the hydrogen production activity, selectivity and product distribution were studied in detail. The results are compared with the results obtained in the IPOX of pure propane. An Increasing Temperature Program (ITP) was applied during all experiments and the results showed that the presence of n-butane in the feed enhances hydrogen production activity and selectivity. Considering the well established distribution network of LPG and the superior performance of the bimetallic Pt–Ni catalyst in the IPOX of LPG, Pt–Ni system seems a very promising catalyst alternative to be used in commercial fuel processors.  相似文献

NO decomposition at 673 K as a function of contact times over a V-O-W/Ti(Sn)O2 catalyst obtained by sol–gel method and pretreated at 673 K in helium stream was investigated and compared with that over a Cu-ZSM-5 catalyst. Feed containing 4% NO in a helium stream was used in both the cases.

The V-O-W/Ti(Sn)O2 catalyst showed higher activity as well as higher selectivity to dinitrogen than the Cu-ZSM-5 catalyst over the whole range of used contact times (0.375–15 g s cm−3).

The highest activity of the V-O-W/Ti(Sn)O2 catalyst, especially at higher normalised contact times (τ/τmax > 0.25), was shown to result from vanadia-like surface layer formation with high tungsten content. It was also shown that the decrease in activity as contact time decreased is connected with tungsta monolayer formation on the V-O-W hybrid crystallites composed of tungsta, V-W oxide bronze and vanadia.  相似文献

Coprecipitated Fe-Al2O3, Fe-Co-Al2O3 and Fe-Ni-Al2O3 catalysts is shown to be very efficient in carbon deposition during methane decomposition at moderate temperatures (600–650 °C). The carbon capacity of the most efficient bimetallic catalysts containing 50–65 wt.% Fe, 5–10 wt.% Co (or Ni) and 25–40 wt.% Al2O3 is found to reach 145 g/gcat. Most likely, their high efficiency is due to specific crystal structures of the metal particles and formation of optimum particle size distribution. According to the TEM data, catalytic filamentous carbon (CFC) is formed on them as multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs). The phase composition of the catalysts during methane decomposition is studied using a complex of physicochemical methods (XRD, REDD, Mössbauer spectroscopy and EXAFS). Possible mechanisms of the catalyst deactivation are discussed.  相似文献

In this study, in order to develop low-temperature sintering ceramics for a multilayer piezoelectric transformer application, we explored CuO and Bi2O3 as sintering aids at low temperature (900 °C) sintering condition for Sb, Li and Mn-substituted 0.8Pb(Zr0.48Ti0.52)O3–0.16Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3–0.04Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3 ceramics. These substituted ceramics have excellent piezoelectric and dielectric properties such as d33  347 pC/N, kp  0.57 and Qm  1469 when sintered at 1200 °C. The addition of CuO decreased the sintering temperature through the formation of a liquid phase. However, the piezoelectric properties of the CuO-added ceramics sintered below 900 °C were lower than the desired values. The additional Bi2O3 resulted in a significant improvement in the piezoelectric properties. The composition Sb, Li and Mn-substituted 0.8Pb(Zr0.48Ti0.52)O3–0.16Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3–0.04Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3 + 0.5 wt% CuO + 0.5 wt% Bi2O3 showed the value of kp = 0.56, Qm = 1042 (planar mode), d33 = 350 pC/N, when it was sintered at 900 °C for 2 h. These values indicated that the newly developed composition might be suitable for multilayer piezoelectric transformer application.  相似文献

The performance of the active catalyst 5%V2O5-1.9%MgO/TiO2 in propane oxidative dehydrogenation is investigated under various reactant contact modes: co-feed and redox decoupling using fixed bed and co-feed using fluid bed. Using fixed bed reactor under co-feed conditions, propane is activated easily on the catalyst surface with selectivities ranging from 30 to 75% depending on the degree of conversion. Under varying oxygen partial pressures, especially for higher than the stoichiometric ratio O2/C3H8 = 1/2, nor the propane conversion or the selectivities to propene and COx are affected. The performance of the catalyst in the absence of gas phase oxygen was tested at 400 °C. It was confirmed that the catalyst surface oxygen participates to the activation of propane forming propene and oxidation products with similar selectivities as those obtained under co-feed conditions. The ability of the catalyst to fully restore its activity by oxygen treatment was checked in repetitive reduction–oxidation cycles. Fluid bed reactor using premixed propane–oxygen mixtures was also employed in the study. The catalyst was proved to be very active in the temperature range 300–450 °C attaining selectivities comparable to those of fixed bed.  相似文献

A Pt–Re/Al2O3 reforming catalyst with different levels of chlorine content prior to reduction has been studied by various techniques such as combined STEM/EDX, TPR, H2 chemisorption and model reactions in order to investigate the effect of the chlorine content on the bimetallic particle formation. TPR, H2 chemisorption and model reactions show that chlorine inhibits the formation of bimetallic particles in the Pt–Re/Al2O3 catalyst. The effect of chlorine is, however, limited. Direct measurements by STEM/EDX analysis could not reveal any significant differences in alloy formation by varying the chlorine content from 0.6 to 1.5 wt.%. In comparison, the effect of adding water during reduction has a greater impact on the final state of the metal particles.  相似文献

During the reactions related to oxidative steam reforming and combustion of methane over -alumina-supported Ni catalysts, the temperature profiles of the catalyst bed were studied using an infrared (IR) thermograph. IR thermographical images revealed an interesting result: that the temperature at the catalyst bed inlet is much higher under CH4/H2O/O2/Ar = 20/10/20/50 than under CH4/H2O/O2/Ar = 10/0/20/70; the former temperature is comparable to that over noble metal catalysts such as Pt and Pd. Based on the temperature-programmed reduction and oxidation measurements over fresh and used catalysts, the metallic Ni is recognized at the catalyst bed inlet under CH4/H2O/O2/Ar = 20/10/20/50, although it is mainly oxidized to NiAl2O4 under CH4/H2O/O2/Ar = 10/0/20/70. This result indicates that the addition of reforming gas (CH4/H2O = 10/10) to the combustion gas (CH4/O2 = 10/20) can stabilize Ni species in the metallic state even under the presence of oxygen in the gas phase. This would account for its extremely high combustion activity.  相似文献

The synthesis and structure of (CH3CH[NH3]CH2NH3)1/2·ZnPO4, an organically templated zincophosphate (ZnPO) analogue of aluminosilicate zeolite thomsonite (THO), are described. The ZnPO framework is built up from an alternating, vertex-sharing, network of ZnO4 and PO4 groups (dav(Zn–O)=1.944 (8) Å, dav(P–O)=1.535 (9) Å, θav(Zn–O–P)=130.5°) involving distinctive 4=1 secondary building units. The 1,2-diammonium propane cations are highly disordered in the [0 0 1] 8-ring channels. A detailed temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) study on NO and O2 saturated Cu-ZSM-5 at different temperatures (300–723 K) has been performed. In the temperature range 373–723 K, the evolution of O2 and NO2 accompanying the desorption of NO from NO saturated Cu-ZSM-5 suggested the formation of nitrite/nitrate species. The amount of O2 absorbed was very much lower than that of NO. The desorption profile of O2 after contacting Cu-ZSM-5 with O2 at 623 K showed a low temperature peak (369K) confirming the spontaneous ability of O2 desorption from copper zeolite. Moreover, successive saturation cycles of NO followed by O2 and vice versa have been performed at various temperatures (298–623 K) to understand the modifications which the adsorption sites undergo when the two molecules NO and O2 are available together for adsorption on the catalyst sites. After each saturation cycle, a TPD profile was recorded following the evolution of NO, O2 and other NOx species. The competitive adsorption experiments revealed that, at 623 K, NO was not able to successfully compete with O2 for the adsorption sites, therefore the adsorption of NO at 623 K on O2 saturated catalyst was not completely restored. On the basis of the experimental work, an overall adsorption reaction scheme of NO on Cu-ZSM-5 was proposed  相似文献

The NOx storage and reduction functions of a Pt–Ba/Al2O3 “NOx storage–reduction” catalyst has been investigated in the present work by applying the transient response and the temperature programmed reaction methods, by using propylene as the reducing agent. It is found that: (i) the storage of NOx occurs first at BaO and then at BaCO3, which are the most abundant sites following regeneration of catalyst with propylene; (ii) the overall storage process at BaCO3 is slower than at BaO; (iii) CO2 inhibits the NOx storage at low temperatures; (iv) the amount of NOx stored up to catalyst saturation at 350 °C corresponds to 17.6% of Ba; (v) the reduction of stored NOx groups is fast and is limited by the concentration of propylene in the investigated T range (250–400 °C); (vi) selectivity to N2 is almost complete at 400 °C but is significantly lower at 300 °C due to the formation of NO which can be tentatively ascribed to the presence of unselective Pt–O species.  相似文献

The NO-H2-O2 reaction was studied over supported bimetallic catalysts, Pt-Mo and Pt-W, which were prepared by coexchange of hydrotalcite-like Mg-Al double layered hydroxides by Pt(NO2)42−, MoO42−, and/or WO42− and subsequent heating at 600 °C in H2. The Pt–Mo interaction could obviously be seen when the catalyst after reduction treatment was exposed to a mixture of NO and H2 in the absence of O2. The Pt-HT catalyst showed the almost complete NO conversion at 70 °C, whereas the Pt-Mo-HT showed a negligible conversion. Upon exposure to O2, however, Pt-Mo-HT exhibited the NO conversion at the lowest temperature of ≥30 °C, compared to ≥60 °C required for Pt-HT. EXAFS/XANES, XPS and IR results suggested that the role of Mo is very sensitive to the oxidation state, i.e., oxidized Mo species residing in Pt particles are postulated to retard the oxidative adsorption of NO as NO3 and promote the catalytic conversion of NO to N2O at low temperatures.  相似文献

The importance of the hydrodearomatisation (HDA) is increasing together with tightening legislation of fuel quality and exhaust emissions. The present study focuses on hydrogenation (HYD) kinetics of the model aromatic compound naphthalene, found in typical diesel fraction, in n-hexadecane over a NiMo (nickel molybdenum), Ni (nickel) and Ru (ruthenium) supported on trilobe alumina (Al2O3) catalysts. Kinetic reaction expressions based on the mechanistic Langmuir–Hinshelwood (L–H) model were derived and tested by regressing the experimental data that translated the effect of both naphthalene and hydrogen concentration at a constant temperature (523.15 and 573.15 K over the NiMo catalyst and at 373.15 K over the Ni and Ru/Al2O3 catalysts) on the initial reaction rate. The L–H equation, giving an adequate fit to the experimental data with physically meaningful parameters, suggested a competitive adsorption between hydrogen and naphthalene over the presulphided NiMo catalyst and a non-competitive adsorption between these two reactants over the prereduced Ni and Ru/Al2O3 catalysts. In addition, the adsorption constant values indicated that the prereduced Ru catalyst was a much more active catalyst towards naphthalene HYD than the prereduced Ni/Al2O3 or the presulphided NiMo/Al2O3 catalyst.  相似文献

The oxidation state of palladium on SiO2–Al2O3 used for propane combustion was examined by XPS and XRD, and the correlation of the catalytic activity with the oxidation state of palladium was systematically studied. The propane conversion over 5 wt% Pd/SiO2–Al2O3 was measured in the range 1.0≤S≤7.2 (S is defined as [O2]/5[C3H8] based on stoichiometric ratio). The propane conversion strongly depended on the S value and reached the maximum at S=5.5. The oxidation state of palladium also changed with the S value; palladium particles were more oxidized under the reaction mixture of higher S value. On the sample used for the reaction at S=5.5, both of metallic palladium and palladium oxide were found. It is concluded that partially oxidized palladium which has optimum ratio of metallic palladium to palladium oxide shows the highest catalytic activity in propane combustion.  相似文献

In the steam gasification of biomass, the additive effect of noble metals such as Pt, Pd, Rh and Ru to the Ni/CeO2/Al2O3 catalyst was investigated. Among these noble metals, the addition of Pt was most effective even when the loading amount of added Pt was as small as 0.01 wt.%. In addition, the catalyst characterization suggests the formation of the Pt–Ni alloy over the Pt/Ni/CeO2/Al2O3.  相似文献

A knitted silica-fibre was prepared and used as support for combustion catalysts. Different Pd–MeO and Pt–MeO (Me=Ni, Co, Cu and Mn) catalysts were prepared, and their catalytic activities were investigated in the conversion of gas mixtures consisting of methane, ethene, naphthalene (model PAH), carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water vapour in the temperature range 150–800°C. Combinations of Pd–Ni and Pt–Ni were found to result in decreased light-off temperatures in methane combustion. The Pd–Ni/silica-fibre catalyst exhibited a light-off temperature in methane combustion of ca 220°C lower than that obtained over the Pd/silica-fibre catalyst. Deactivation of the catalysts was observed by subjecting the catalysts to reaction mixture flow at 800°C for 6 h. For the Pd-containing catalysts, the deactivation was considered to be due to both support and metal sintering as well as changes in the nature of the Pd–O species. The catalysts were characterised by N2-adsorption, H2-adsorption, O2–TPD and H2–TPR.  相似文献

Selective production of hydrogen by partial oxidation of methanol (CH3OH + (1/2)O2 → 2H2 + CO2) over Au/TiO2 catalysts, prepared by a deposition–precipitation method, was studied. The catalysts were characterized by XRD, TEM, and XPS analyses. TEM observations show that the Au/TiO2 catalysts exhibit hemispherical gold particles, which are strongly attached to the metal oxide support at their flat planes. The size of the gold particles decreases from 3.5 to 1.9 nm during preparation of the catalysts with the rise in pH from 6 to 9 and increases from 2.9 to 4.3 nm with the rise in calcination temperature up to 673 K. XPS analyses demonstrate that in uncalcined catalysts gold existed in three different states: i.e., metallic gold (Au0), non-metallic gold (Auδ+) and Au2O3, and in catalysts calcined at 573 K only in metallic state. The catalytic activity is strongly dependent on the gold particle size. The catalyst precipitated at pH 8 and uncalcined catalysts show the highest activity for hydrogen generation. The partial pressure of oxygen plays an important role in determining the product distribution. There is no carbon monoxide detected when the O2/CH3OH molar ratio in the feed is 0.3. Both hydrogen selectivity and methanol conversion increase with increasing the reaction temperature. The reaction pathway is suggested to consist of consecutive methanol combustion, partial oxidation and steam reforming.  相似文献

ZrO2–TiO2 mixed oxides, prepared using the sol–gel method, were used as supports for platinum catalysts. The effects of catalyst pre-reduction and surface acidity on the performance of Pt/ZT catalysts for the reduction of NO with CH4 were studied. The diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transformed (DRIFT) spectra of CO adsorbed on the Pt/ZT catalysts, and also on the Pt/T and Pt/Z references, pre-reduced at 773 K in hydrogen, revealed that an SMSI state is developed in the Ti-rich oxide-supported platinum catalysts. However, no shift in the binding energy of Pt 4f7/2 level for Pt/T and Pt deposited on Ti-rich support counterparts pre-reduced at 773 K was found by photoelectron spectroscopy. The DRIFT spectra of the catalysts under the NO+O2 co-adsorption revealed the appearance of nitrite/nitrate species on the surface of the Zr-containing catalysts, which displayed acidic properties, but were almost absent in the Pt/T catalyst. The intensity of these bands reached a maximum for the Pt/ZT(1:1) catalyst, which in turn exhibited a larger specific area. In the absence of oxygen in the feed stream, the NO+CH4 reaction showed DRIFT spectra assigned to surface isocyano species. Since the intensity of this band is higher for the Pt/ZT (9:1) catalyst, it seems that such species are developed at the Pt–support interface.  相似文献

Catalytic wet oxidation of H2S to sulfur on Fe/MgO catalyst   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The room temperature wet catalytic oxidation was conducted in a batch reactor with Fe/MgO catalyst. Fe/MgO catalyst was prepared by the dissolution–precipitation method. XRD and temperature-programmed reductions (TPR) indicate that Fe oxide in the Fe/MgO is finely dispersed in the MgO support. The high H2S removal capacities of Fe/MgO can be explained by the finely dispersed iron oxide MgO. The H2S removal capacities of Fe/MgO are dependent on oxygen partial pressure (1.0 g H2S/gcat in air and 2.6 g H2S/gcat in oxygen). The valence state analysis of Fe/MgO catalyst suggests that the H2S oxidation on Fe/MgO can occur by a redox couple reaction, reducing Fe3+ into Fe2+ by H2S and oxidizing Fe2+ to Fe3+ by O2.  相似文献

Kinetic study of CO oxidation in combination with experiments of temperature-programmed oxidation (TPO) and reduction (TPR) have been performed on various unsupported crystalline manganese oxides (MnOx); while the reactivity shows an order of MnO ≤ MnO2 < Mn2O3 in a mixture of unit ratio of O2/CO at/below 523 K. We propose that under the current conditions the interaction of adsorbed CO and O is mainly responsible for CO2 formation on Mn2O3 and MnO2 catalysts, following either the Langmuir–Hinshelwood mechanism or Eley–Rideal mechanism. Meanwhile, direct evidence from transient CO oxidation suggests that the Mars-van-Krevelen mechanism may occur for all catalysts simultaneously, especially, it is predominant for the MnO catalyst. The evidence of structural modifications during reaction was confirmed by Raman spectra obtained from used MnO.  相似文献
