In this paper, a modified time‐of‐arrival (TOA) estimation error test and a hybrid time‐of‐arrival/angle‐of‐arrival (TOA/AOA) estimation error test for identification of line of sight (LOS) base stations (BSs) are proposed. The proposed schemes aim to improve the location accuracy of wireless location systems suffering from the non‐line of sight (NLOS) propagation errors. The modified TOA‐based estimation error test is considered a straightforward approach in identifying the LOS‐BS set when the number of LOS BSs is greater than or equal to three. When both TOA and AOA metrics are available, hybrid TOA/AOA squares of normalized estimation errors are formulated by adopting the approximate maximum likelihood (AML) estimation. The proposed hybrid estimation error test scheme is capable of identifying the LOS/NLOS status of each BS, and performing location estimation in the situation where only two LOS BSs exist. Simulation results show that the proposed schemes are capable of correctly identifying the LOS BSs and improving the overall location accuracy. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

在蜂窝无线定位中,非视距(non-line-of-sight,NLOS)误差是影响定位精度的主要因素之一,故如何减轻NLOS误差影响是无线定位研究的热点。本文针对NLOS环境下的定位问题,提出基于参数重构的混合定位算法。首先利用波达角(angle-of-arrival,AOA)重构方法重构直达波AOA,随后充分利用AOA的重构结果,以最大似然估计法迭代估计直达波的波达时延(time-of-arrival,TOA),最后利用这两个重构后的参数以视距(line-of-sight,LOS)混合定位方法估计出移动台的位置,以实现NLOS环境下的单基站定位,并获取较高的定位精度。这种方式无需视距与非视距识别,改进了传统的单目标参数重构模式。仿真结果验证了该算法的有效性。   相似文献

This paper proposes a mobile user location scheme for wideband code-division multiple-access (CDMA) wireless communication systems. To achieve high location accuracy and low cost of the mobile receiver, the location scheme combines the time difference of arrival (TDOA) measurements from the forward link pilot signals with the angle of arrival (AOA) measurement from the reverse link pilot signal. High chip rates in wideband CDMA systems facilitate accurate TDOA measurements, and a smart antenna used at the home base station (BS) can provide accurate AOA measurement in a macrocell environment. A two-step least square location estimator is developed based on a linear form of the AOA equation in the small error region. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed hybrid TDOA/AOA location scheme gives a much higher location accuracy than TDOA only location, when the number of base stations is small and/or when the TDOA measurements have a relatively poor accuracy  相似文献

提出了一种在非视距环境中的到达时间差/到达角混合定位方法。该方法使用了两步卡尔曼滤波。先用卡尔曼滤波器对到达时间测量值进行预处理,以消除TOA测量值中的NLOS误差。再把经过预处理的TOA测量值输入到用卡尔曼滤波器实现的TDOA/AOA混合定位器中进行定位。实验证明,该方法的定位误差性能优于单纯的TDOA定位方法及静态定位方法中泰勒级数展开法的误差性能。  相似文献

在蜂窝网络中利用电波到达时间(TOA)对移动台(MS)进行定位估计时,也可利用服务基站(BS)提供较准确电波到达角(AOA)信息,以提高定位性能。为此,本文对Chan提出的电波到达时间差(TDOA)定位算法进行了改进,提出了一种既继承原算法的优点,又增加AOA测量值以提高定位性能的TOA/AOA混合定位算法,分析和仿真结果表明,只要AOA测量值达到一定精度,该算法就能取得比单纯TOA定位法更好的性能。  相似文献

为了克服CDMA移动台(MS)定位估计中面临的远近效应问题,该文提出了一种在服务基站(BS)附近布置一种天线阵列,采用TSOA/AOA混合定位技术对MS进行定位估计的方法,分析了采用不同定位法的GDOP分布, 并给出了相应的TSOA/AOA混合定位算法。不同条件下的仿真结果表明,只要AOA测量值达到一定精度,采用这种方法就能对MS进行准确定位。  相似文献

Caused by Non-Line-Of-Sight (NLOS) propagation effect, the non-symmetric contamination of measured Time Of Arrival (TOA) data leads to high inaccuracies of the conventional TOA based mobile location techniques. Robust position estimation method based on bootstrapping M-estimation and Huber estimator are proposed to mitigate the effects of NLOS propagation on the location error. Simulation results show the improvement over traditional Least-Square (LS) algorithm on location accuracy under different channel environments.  相似文献

针对某些特殊的移动通信环境中信号的到达角度( TOA)、到达时间( AOA)等信道参数估计的复杂性,提出一种基于散射体均匀分布室外统计信道模型。该模型将树木中的树冠层作为散射体呈均匀分布在移动台与基站周围的椭圆形区域内,通过树冠层在雨雪环境中的相对介电常数来分析降雨降雪量对信号传输带来的影响,可以方便地估计出此室外微小区的空时信道参数,如AOA概率密度分布函数、TOA概率密度分布函数以及到达角度/到达时间( AOA/TOA )联合概率密度分布函数。仿真结果表明,信号的到达时间TOA以及到达角度AOA随着降雨降雪量的增大而增大,尤其当降雪量增大使得树冠层相对介电常数达到4.5时,信号的传输将被阻塞。该模型的信道参数估计结果符合理论与经验,扩展了移动无线通信信道模型的研究与应用。  相似文献

为了降低非视距(Non-Line-of-Sight,NLOS)误差对定位精度的不利影响,提出了一种基于圆环模型的到达时间(Time of Arrival,TOA)/到达角(Angle of Arrival,AOA)混合定位算法。假设各基站(Base Station,BS)接收的多径信号都经历了散射体的单次散射,首先利用圆环模型的几何特征搜索圆环的半径,再根据圆环的半径、TOA信息和AOA信息确定散射体的位置;然后将散射体作为虚拟基站规划移动台(Mobile Station,MS)的可能位置范围,并使用网格搜索和约束判断来获得多个MS可能的估计位置;最后根据误差目标函数的大小进行选择性平均。在不同NLOS场景下的仿真结果表明,与现有算法相比,所提算法取得了更好的定位性能。  相似文献

In this paper, a new positioning scheme with impulse postfix OFDM (IP-OFDM) systems is proposed for estimating the positional information of a user within a wireless local area network. In the proposed scheme, the channel information is estimated by the IP of the IP-OFDM symbol in the time domain, and then the round-trip time and the angle of signal arrival from a wireless terminal to an access point equipped with a uniform linear antenna array are investigated for time-of-arrival (TOA) and angle-of-arrival (AOA) estimation for a user. The position of the wireless terminal is finally estimated by combining the estimated TOA and AOA information. The performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated with computer simulations, and the error characteristics are analyzed with respect to the TOA error, and the AOA error influence on the positioning error. According to the simulation results, the positioning error of the proposed scheme can be reduced to some centimeters for high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The major influence on the positioning error comes from the TOA error in low SNR, while the AOA error has more influence on the positioning error in high SNR.  相似文献

The problem of locating a mobile terminal has received significant attention in the field of wireless communications. The wireless location problem is made difficult by nonsymmetric contamination of measured Time of Arrival (TOA) data caused by Non-Line-Of-Sight (NLOS) propagation. In this paper, a novel robust NLOS error mitigation algorithm based on minimum entropy estimation is proposed without prior statistics knowledge of NLOS propagation error.We compare the proposed algorithm with two additional ones, the Normal Least-Squares estimator and the Huber estimator, through MATLAB simulation in different COST 259 channel environment. Results reveal that the proposed algorithm is more robust to NLOS error than the other two, although it is not always superior to the other two on location accuracy.  相似文献

An extended Kalman-based interacting multiple model (EK-IMM) smoother is proposed for mobile location estimation with the data fusion of the time of arrival (TOA) and the received signal strength (RSS) measurements in a rough wireless environment. The extended Kalman filter is used for nonlinear estimation. The IMM is employed as a switch between the line-of-sight (LOS) and non-LOS (NLOS) states, which are considered to be a Markov process with two interactive modes. Combining extended Kalman filtering with the IMM scheme for accurately smooth range estimation between the corresponding base station (BS) and mobile station (MS) in the rough wireless environment, the proposed robust mobile location estimator, in association with data fusion, can efficiently mitigate the NLOS effects on the measurement range error. Simulation results illustrate that the performance of the proposed method has been significantly improved in the LOS/NLOS transition case. Moreover, the performance of the EK-IMM smoother with data fusion is also better than that with a single measurement used alone.   相似文献

A Kalman-based interacting multiple model (IMM) smoother is proposed for mobile location estimation with the time of arrival (TOA) measurement data in cellular networks to meet the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requirement for phase 2. In this study, the line-of-sight (LOS) and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) conditions in cellular networks are considered as a Markov process with two interactive modes. Then we propose a Kalman-based IMM smoother to accurately estimate smooth range between the corresponding base station (BS) and mobile station (MS) in cellular networks. It is shown that the proposed mobile location estimator can efficiently mitigate the NLOS effects of the measurement range error even when the corresponding BS changes the condition between LOS and NLOS. Simulation results demonstrate that the performance of the proposed Kalman-based IMM smoother is improved significantly over the FCC target in both fixed LOS/NLOS and LOS/NLOS transition conditions  相似文献

结合圆位置线误差、直线位置线误差与参数误差的关系,该文提出了一种利用所有基站测量的波达时间与最近一个基站测量的所有多径的到达角进行混合定位的方法.在该方法中,对波达时间用测量的波达时间总是大于等于视距传播时间进行约束,对到达角用GBSBCM确定的最大角度扩展进行约束,以有效减小非视距传播的影响,提高定位精度.仿真结果证明了该方法的有效性。  相似文献

文中重点对在TD-SCDMA系统中,采用JADE-MUSIC算法联合提取TOA和AOA定位参数,实现单基站定位的技术进行了分析和研究。通过上行同步偏移参量获得TOA值,通过智能天线的DOA估计获得AOA值,实现TOA与AOA相结合的单站定位是现在比较盛行的方法。但这种方法受限于同步偏移参量的步进。针对此,对基于经典JADE-MUSIC谱估计算法的联合AOA和TOA参数提取的单站定位技术进行区域划分进行一定的研究。  相似文献
