BACKGROUND: Resection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is associated with a high incidence of recurrence. Aggressive management of recurrence is an important strategy in prolonging survival. This study evaluated the role of combined resection and locoregional therapy in the management of selected patients with extrahepatic and intrahepatic recurrences. STUDY DESIGN: From a prospective database of 399 patients with hepatectomy for HCC from 1989 to 1998, 63 patients were identified with extrahepatic and intrahepatic recurrences either concurrently or sequentially. Survival outcomes of patients who underwent resection of extrahepatic recurrence and re-resection or locoregional therapy for intrahepatic recurrence were evaluated. RESULTS: Ten patients underwent resection of solitary extrahepatic recurrence and locoregional therapy for intrahepatic recurrence. Transarterial chemoembolization was the main treatment modality for intrahepatic recurrence. Two of these patients also underwent re-resection of intrahepatic recurrence at the time of resection of extrahepatic metastasis. Median survival after recurrence of these 10 patients was 44.0 months (range 18.6 to 132.9 months), and the median overall survival from initial hepatectomy was 49.0 months (range 21.6 to 134.6 months). In contrast, median survival after recurrence of the remaining 53 patients with extrahepatic and intrahepatic recurrences treated by nonsurgical means (locoregional therapy, systemic chemotherapy, or hormonal therapy) was only 10.6 months (p = 0.002). CONCLUSIONS: Aggressive management with combined resection of isolated extrahepatic recurrence and re-resection or locoregional therapy for intrahepatic recurrence may offer longterm survival in selected patients who develop both intrahepatic and extrahepatic recurrences after hepatectomy for HCC.  相似文献

Hepatic resection has been regarded as a curative treatment for primary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), but a high incidence of postoperative recurrence is general. Thus it is important to predict the patterns of recurrence and select the appropriate treatment for recurrence for a better long-term prognosis of patients with HCC. Clinicopathological studies on 80 patients with intrahepatic recurrence after curative hepatectomy suggested that nodular-type recurrence with up to three nodules is mainly due to metachronous multicentric hepatocarcinogenesis rather than intrahepatic metastases. We reviewed 300 patients with recurrent HCC, and repeat hepatectomy was done in 78 cases (26.0%). The 3- and 5-year survival rates after repeat hepatectomy were 82.8% and 47.5%, respectively, showing better prognosis than those for other treatments. Repeat hepatectomy is the preferred treatment offering a hope of long-term survival for patients with recurrent HCC as long as liver function is sufficient; thus early detection of recurrence should be ensured. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to evaluate prognostic factors in patients with recurrence after curative resection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and to identify selection criteria for repeat resection. SUMMARY BACKGROUND DATA: Recent studies have demonstrated that repeat hepatectomy is effective for treating intrahepatic recurrent HCC in selected patients. However, the prognostic factors in these patients have not been fully evaluated. METHODS: From October 1994 to December 2000, 334 patients underwent primary resection for HCC, and 67 received a 2nd hepatectomy for recurrent HCC. The survival results in these 67 patients were analyzed, and prognostic factors were determined using 38 clinicopathological variables. The prognosis and operative risk in 11 and 6 patients who received a 3rd and 4th resection were also evaluated. RESULTS: The overall 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival rates of the 334 patients after primary hepatectomy were 94%, 75%, and 56%, while those of the 67 patients after a 2nd resection were 93%, 70%, and 56%, respectively. There was no difference in survival (P = 0.64). All of the patients who underwent a 3rd or 4th are currently alive at a median follow-up of 2.5 and 1.4 years, respectively. The operative time and blood loss in the 2nd resection in patients who underwent a major primary resection were not different from those in patients who underwent minor hepatectomy at the 1st resection, and there were also no differences in these variables among the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th resections. In a multivariate analysis, absence of portal invasion at the 2nd resection (P = 0.01), single HCC at primary hepatectomy (P = 0.01), and a disease-free interval of 1 year or more after primary hepatectomy (P = 0.02) were independent prognostic factors after the 2nd resection. Twenty-nine patients with all 3 of these factors showed 3- and 5-year survival rates of 100% and 86%, respectively, after the 2nd resection. CONCLUSIONS: Repeat hepatic resection is the treatment of choice for patients who have previously undergone resection of a single HCC at the primary resection and in whom recurrence developed after a disease-free interval of 1 year or more and the recurrent tumor had no portal invasion.  相似文献

Purpose  To evaluate the prognostic impact of various therapeutic modalities, such as repeat hepatectomy, ablation therapy, and transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) therapy, used to treat single nodular recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods  Thirty-two patients with single nodular intrahepatic recurrence after curative primary resection of HCC were enrolled in this study. The prognostic factors after recurrence were established using 13 clinicopathologic variables, including the therapeutic modalities; namely, repeat hepatectomy, ablation therapy, or TACE therapy. Results  Of the 32 patients, 9 underwent repeat hepatectomy, 10 underwent ablation therapy, and 13 underwent TACE therapy. The therapeutic modality was the only prognostic factor. In comparison with TACE therapy, the relative risks associated with ablation therapy and repeat hepatectomy were 0.19 and 0.29, respectively. The 5-year survival rates after single nodular recurrence were 57% in the ablation therapy group, 29% in the repeat hepatectomy group, and 0% in the TACE therapy group. Conclusions  Repeat hepatectomy and ablation therapy are more effective than TACE therapy for improving the prognosis of patients with single nodular intrahepatic recurrent HCC.  相似文献

Background Survival analysis in patients with initial recurrence after curative hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has not been well evaluated. In addition, selections of the most effective treatments for patients with recurrent HCC still remain controversial. Methods Three hundred and nineteen patients who underwent potentially curative hepatectomies were followed for initial recurrence, and factors predictive of recurrence were determined. The factors affecting survival including pattern of recurrence and treatment modalities from the time of initial recurrence in 211 patients were retrospectively analyzed. Results The overall 5-year disease-free survival rate of 319 patients was 31.1%. The 5-year survival rate of 211 patients from the time of initial recurrence was 31.9%. In a multivariate analysis, a low indocyanine green retention rate, lack of liver cirrhosis, a long interval before recurrence, the absence of portal vein invasion, and intrahepatic recurrence (≤3 nodules) were shown to be significantly favorable prognostic factors after the initial recurrence. The 5-year survival rate of patients with intrahepatic recurrence (≤3 nodules) was 42.3%, and no survival differences were observed among different treatment modalities. Conclusion When the initial recurrence occurred after a longer interval, and/or with three or fewer intrahepatic recurrent nodules, a favorable prognosis could be expected in those patients with better liver function and no portal vein invasion at the time of the primary hepatectomy. It is important to conduct a randomized controlled trial to clarify a method for selecting optimal treatment in patients with a smaller number of initial intrahepatic recurrences.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: The aim of this study was to clarify the clinicopathologic features of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients with compensated cirrhosis surviving more than 10 years after initial hepatectomy. STUDY DESIGN: Among 250 patients who underwent hepatectomy for HCC between 1987 and 1994 at our institute, 145 patients who had Child-Pugh class A liver function and who underwent curative resection were included in this study. Clinicopathologic factors in 10-year survivors and patients who died within 10 years (nonsurvivors) were compared, and the prognostic factors affecting survival were identified. RESULTS: There were 29 patients who survived for more than 10 years after initial hepatectomy, and 9 of those patients survived without cancer recurrence. The 3-, 5-, and 10-year survival rates were 76.2%, 53.0%, and 26.9% respectively. The corresponding disease-free survival rates were 43.1%, 25.7%, and 9.9% respectively. In multivariate analysis, liver fibrosis grade F0-2, female gender, ICG-R15 value of less than 15%, and absence of microscopic vascular invasion were favorable independent factors associated with 10-year survival. Disease-free interval after initial hepatectomy in 10-year survivors with recurrence was significantly longer than that in nonsurvivors with recurrence, 5.1 and 1.9 years respectively (P = 0.0004). The number of intrahepatic recurrent nodules in 10-year survivors tended to be fewer than that in nonsurvivors. CONCLUSIONS: Based on the results of our study, liver fibrosis grade F0-2, female gender, ICG-R15 value of less than 15% and absence of microscopic vascular invasion at initial hepatectomy might be biologically favorable conditions for long-term survival. Close follow-up as well as multimodal treatment could contribute to prolongation of survival in such patients, even if HCC recurrence develops.  相似文献

Repeat hepatectomy for recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
BACKGROUND: Long-term prognosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after partial hepatectomy remains unsatisfactory because of the high incidence of recurrence in the liver remnant. Controversy exists about the efficacy of repeat hepatectomy for recurrent HCC patients. The purpose of this study was to retrospectively examine and clarify the significance of repeat hepatectomy in the treatment of recurrent HCC. METHODS: From January 1990 to December 2004, 84 patients with recurrent HCC underwent a second hepatectomy with curative intent. Survival rates in these 84 patients were analyzed retrospectively. RESULTS: After the second hepatectomy, the overall 5-year survival rate was 50% for the 84 patients included in this study; the corresponding recurrence-free survival rate was 10%. Multivariate analysis showed that the second hepatectomy performed between 1997 and 2004 (P < .001) and the absence of microscopic vascular invasion at the second hepatectomy (P = .001) were the significant and independent prognostic factors for overall survival after the second hepatectomy. The overall 5-year survival rate after the second hepatectomy was 80% in 46 patients who had both these prognostic factors. However, even in the subgroup with good long-term survival, the 5-year recurrence-free survival rate was only 6%. The more times hepatectomy was repeated, the shorter the recurrence-free interval became. CONCLUSIONS: Repeat hepatectomy for recurrent HCC had survival benefits, especially for patients without microscopic vascular invasion. However, the incidence of re-recurrence after the second hepatectomy was high, and the recurrence-free interval was short, even in the subgroup with survival benefits. The effectiveness of repeat hepatectomy for curing recurrent HCC is limited.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Although hepatectomy has been accepted as a therapeutic option for the primary tumor of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), what role the second liver resection will play in the clinical care of patients with intrahepatic recurrence of HCC after the initial resection has not been well evaluated. STUDY DESIGN: In a retrospective review of the 6-year period between January 1991 and December 1996, records were examined of 94 patients who underwent curative liver resection for HCC. Of these, 57 patients had isolated recurrent disease to the liver; 12 of the 57 patients underwent repeat surgical resection and 45 patients received nonsurgical ablative therapy. Clinical data for these patients were reviewed for operative morbidity and mortality, survival, disease-free survival, and pattern of failure. RESULTS: There were no perioperative deaths during repeat liver resections for recurrent HCC. Operative morbidity in the second resection was comparable to the initial resection. The disease-free survival rate after the second hepatectomy was 31% at 2 years, significantly lower than that after initial hepatectomy (62%) (p = 0.009). The overall survival rate after the second hepatectomy was 90% at 2 years, in contrast to 70% after nonsurgical ablative treatment for recurrent HCC (p = 0.253). CONCLUSIONS: Although the second liver resection for recurrent HCC can be performed safely and may improve survival, the disease-free survival rate after such resection therapy is low. This likelihood of further recurrences encourages studies for the selection of patients who may benefit from repeat liver resection.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: By comparing cohorts in 2 exclusive time frames, the factors that affected the surgical outcomes of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) are presented. SUMMARY BACKGROUND DATA: Reportedly, survival results of patients with HCC who underwent hepatectomy have improved in recent years. However, the major factors contributing to these favorable outcomes have not been fully explained. METHODS: Between January 1985 and December 2000, 610 patients with HCC underwent liver resections as a primary and curative resection. They were categorized into 2 groups according to the year in which the surgeries were performed: before 1990 (n = 212; early group); and after 1991 (n = 398; late group). Clinicopathologic data, survival data, type of recurrence, and treatment of intrahepatic recurrence were compared between the 2 groups. RESULTS: Clinicopathologic data were almost identical between the groups except for age, blood loss, and duration of surgery. The overall survival rate was significantly better in the late group compared with the early group (58.0% vs. 39.1% at 5 years, P < 0.0001). By contrast, disease-free survival remained unchanged (27.8% vs. 26.2% at 5 years, P = 0.2887). The most common type of recurrence was intrahepatic relapse, and there was no difference in the rate and the type of recurrence between the 2 groups. The 5-year survival rate after recurrence was increased in the late group (21.8% vs. 11.6%, P = 0.0002). Stratified analysis by the type of initial recurrence revealed that better survival in the late group was achieved only in solitary intrahepatic recurrences, not in multiple intrahepatic or extrahepatic recurrences. Changes in modality of treatment of recurrence were observed only in the management of solitary intrahepatic recurrences, where percutaneous ablation therapies were more frequently applied with new ablation techniques. Patients that had undergone ablation therapies in the late group had better postrecurrent survival than those in the early group. Multivariate analysis showed that presence of local ablation therapies was an independent favorable prognostic factor only in the late group. CONCLUSIONS: Significant improvements in outcomes were achieved in patients with HCC who underwent curative liver resections. Percutaneous ablation therapy for intrahepatic recurrence was considered to be a major contributory factor for improving survival after recurrence, as well as for overall survival.  相似文献

The optimal treatment for recurrent lesions after hepatectomy for colorectal liver metastases is controversial. We report the outcome of aggressive surgery for recurrent disease after the initial hepatectomy and the influence on quality of life of such treatment. Forty-five (70%) of the 64 surviving patients developed recurrence after the initial hepatectomy for liver metastases. The determinants of hepatic recurrence were the distribution and the number of liver metastases. Twenty-eight (62%) of patients with recurrence underwent resection. A second hepatectomy was performed in 20 patients, and a third hepatectomy was done in 5 patients. Ten patients with pulmonary metastasis underwent partial lung resection on 14 occasions, while resection of brain metastases was performed in 3 patients on 5 occasions. There were no operative deaths after resection of recurrent disease. The morbidity rate was 28% after repeat hepatectomy, 21% after pulmonary resection, and 0% after resection of brain metastasis. The Karnofsky performance status (PS) after the last surgery was not significantly different from that after the initial hepatectomy. The 3- and 5-year survival rates after the second hepatectomy were 54% and 14%, respectively. The 3-and 5-year survival rates of the patients undergoing resection of extrahepatic recurrence were both 17%. The survival rate after resection of recurrent disease (n=28) was significantly better than that of patients (n=17) with unresectable recurrence (P < 0.05). For the 66 patients with colorectal liver metastases, the 5-year survival rate after initial hepatectomy was 50%. The distribution and the number of liver metastases and the presence of extrahepatic disease, as single factors, significantly affected prognosis after the initial hepatectomy. Multivariate analysis revealed that only the presence of extrahepatic metastasis and a disease-free interval of less than 6 months were independent predictors of survival after the initial and second hepatectomy, respectively. It is concluded that aggressive surgery is an effective strategy for selected patients with recurrence after initial hepatectomy. Careful selection of candidates for repeat surgery will yield increased clinical benefit, including long-term survival.  相似文献

This report is based on an analysis of the recurrent patterns and post-treatment clinical outcome of 78 patients following hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Patients with a single recurrent tumor (group A;n=41) often had multicentric carcinogenesis (41.7%) and were treated locally; i.e., by re-resection or by percutaneous ethanol injection therapy (PEIT). Many of them (42.9%) followed the “curative pattern,” with good prognosis (70.3% 5-year survival rate). Although 6 of the patients with two or three recurrent tumors (group B;n=19) had multicentric carcinogenesis that could be treated locally, 13 of the 19 followed the “non-curative pattern,” with a poor prognosis after recurrence (14.8% 3-year survival rate after recurrence). The primary tumors of the patients with multiple or infiltrating type (group C;n=18) were advanced and these patients had metastatic recurrence, thereby following the “early death pattern” (58.8%) with a poor prognosis (30% 5-year survival rate). For group C patients, hepatectomy was regarded as part of a multidisciplinary treatment regimen that included aggressive postoperative chemotherapy as a necessary component.  相似文献

影响肝内胆管癌(intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma,ICC)肝切除术后远期生存的主要因素是肝内复发和肝外转移。再切除适用于复发性肿瘤单发、至复发时间较长、肝功能良好的病人,但术后再复发率仍较高。对于术后较早期肝内复发、肿瘤直径不超过3 cm、数目不超过3个的ICC,消融治疗可达到与再切除相似的远期预后。对于不适合再切除或消融的肝内复发ICC,可考虑行经肝动脉栓塞化疗(tansarterial arterial chemoembolization,TACE)或钇-90经肝动脉放射性栓塞。对于术后发生肝外转移的ICC,应联合消融、TACE、系统性化疗、靶向治疗以及姑息治疗等多种治疗手段,以进一步延长病人的生存时间。  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Detailed follow-up of patients with chronic hepatitis has resulted in increased diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in patients without cirrhosis. Despite numerous studies on hepatic resection, the prognostic factors for intrahepatic recurrence and survival are not well known for patients with HCC without cirrhosis. METHODS: Among 349 patients with HCC treated in the past 13 years, cirrhosis was absent in 126 patients (36 per cent). Curative hepatic resection was carried out in 100 (79 per cent) of these patients. Risk factors for intrahepatic recurrence and prognostic factors for survival were evaluated by univariate and multivariate analyses. RESULTS: Postoperative morbidity and mortality rates were 22 and 3 per cent respectively. The 5- and 10-year disease-free and overall survival rates were 31 and 50 per cent, and 22 and 47 per cent respectively. Blood loss, surgical resection margin, intrahepatic metastasis, portal vein invasion and extent of hepatic resection were independently associated with overall survival. However, the only risk factors for intrahepatic recurrence were portal vein invasion and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. The former was related to early recurrence while the latter was related to later recurrence. The 5-year disease-free survival rate was 58 per cent in patients with hepatitis B virus infection while it was 6 per cent in patients with HCV infection (P < 0.001). CONCLUSION: In the treatment of HCC without cirrhosis, major hepatectomy is advocated to prevent early recurrence. Liver transplantation may be required for patients with HCV infection.  相似文献

Background/Purpose  While lipiodolized transarterial chemoembolization (lip-TACE) is effective for treating unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), its effect for treating recurrent HCC after curative liver resection needs to be clarified. Methods  Of 163 patients who had undergone curative liver resection between 1992 and December 2003, 65 patients (39.8%) had recurrent HCC in the liver without extrahepatic recurrence and were indicated for lip-TACE. The overall survival rate after lip-TACE was calculated, and its correlation with factors such as the histology of the primary HCC and background noncancerous tissue were analyzed. Results  The overall survival rates after lip-TACE after the detection of the first recurrent HCC were 82.6%, 44.5%, and 24.8% at 1, 3, and 5 years, respectively. The factors affecting patient survival after lip-TACE were microscopic portal venous involvement of HCC at liver resection, grade of inflammation in the noncancerous liver parenchyma, and recurrence within 1 year after the initial liver resection. Multivariate analysis showed that the period between the resection and first recurrence had the highest hazard ratio. Conclusions  Lip-TACE is a reasonable procedure for treating recurrent HCC in selected patients who are not eligible for hepatic re-resection. When HCC recurred within 1 year from the primary liver resection, the effect of lip-TACE on patient survival was limited.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: The aim of this study was to identify factors predictive of survival after curative resection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in noncirrhotic liver. STUDY DESIGN: Eighty-four patients underwent resection of HCC in noncirrhotic liver between January 1998 and December 2003. Univariate and multivariable analyses were used to retrospectively identify factors associated with overall survival and disease-free survival when resection was curative for the primary tumor. RESULTS: Overall 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival rates were 77.8%, 55.0%, and 44.4%, respectively, and 84.0%, 62.0%, and 50.0% when resection was curative for the primary tumor. HCC recurred in 27 patients (39.1%). Recurrence was intrahepatic in 14 patients (51.9%), extrahepatic in 3 patients (11.1%), and both intra- and extrahepatic in the remaining 10 patients (37.0%). In multivariable analysis, three independent factors were associated with poorer overall survival and recurrence-free survival, namely multiple tumors, macroscopic vascular invasion, and nonuse of adjuvant iodine-131-iodized oil. CONCLUSIONS: Aggressive operation is an effective treatment for HCC in noncirrhotic patients, whatever the degree of liver fibrosis. Multiple tumors and macroscopic vascular invasion are poor prognostic factors. Postoperative iodine-131-iodized oil injection appears to prevent recurrence and improve overall survival, although this needs to be confirmed in a prospective randomized trial.  相似文献

A nationwide survey conducted by the Liver Cancer Study Group of Japan showed that approximately 85%–90% of recurrences of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) were in the remnant liver, and that the location of the intrahepatic recurrence was widely distributed throughout the entire liver, with 30%–40% of the recurrences on the side opposite the primary tumor, beyond Cantlie's line. In our experience, about 70% of the recurrences were seen within 2 years after surgery, and the survival rate tended to be lower as the period from the primary surgery to the recurrence was shorter. To achieve longer survival in patients with HCC, one of the most important issues is, therefore, how to prevent and control intrahepatic recurrence after surgery. Although, according to the nationwide survey, repeat hepatectomy has been performed in only 1.6% of all patients with intrahepatic recurrence, we have experienced 28 patients with repeat hepatic resection. The 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival rates from the time of re-resection were 93%, 59%, and 47%, respectively, and survival rates from the time of the initial surgery were 85% at 3 years, 62% at 5 years, and 53% at 8 years. In particular, in patients with a second primary cancer from multicentric carcinogenesis, the 5-year survival rate after the re-resection was approximately 80%. Hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC) often recur after curvative resection. Recurrence in the remnant liver originates from intrahepatic metastasis (IM) from the primary resected tumor, and/or from multicentric (MC) occurrence. In order to achieve better survival after intrahepatic recurrence in HCC patients, we have surgically treated patients according to the recurrence pattern. In this study, we investigated the advantage of repeat surgery for MC recurrent HCC. The subjects were 176 patients who had undergone primary macroscopically complete tumor removal for HCC at our department from 1984 to 1999. Differential diagnosis of IM and MC recurrence was done by pathological analysis. Twenty-nine of the 149 patients with recurrence (19.5%) underwent a total of 31 second and third operations. Of the 29 patients, 18 had MC (14 received repeat hepatectomy and 4, microwave tissue coagulation [MTC]), 7 had IM (4 had repeat hepatectomy and 3, MTC), and, in 4 patients, pathological investigation failed to determine the mode of recurrence. The 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival rates for MC patients after the repeat operations were 100%, 69.7%, and 58.1%, respectively, and the 1-, 3-, and 5-year survival rates for the IM patients were 57.1%, 14.3%, and 14.3%, respectively. Survival after the repeat operation was significantly better in the MC group than in the IM group (P = 0.0016). Moreover, there was no significant difference between survival in the MC group after a repeat operation and survival in control patients after an initial hepatectomy (P = 0.9282). These results indicated that patients with resectable or ablative recurrent MC HCC have almost the same survival benefit after repeat operations as patients who undergo initial curative resection of HCC. BACKGROUND/AIMS: The effectiveness of systematized hepatectomy in the modified International Union Against Cancer (UICC) staging classification for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has not been clarified in detail. METHODS: We retrospectively studied 406 patients with UICC T1 HCC and 124 patients with T2 HCC who underwent initial curative hepatectomy from 1994 through 2003. Outcomes after sectionectomy or larger resection and segmentectomy or smaller resection for patients with T1 HCC and T2 HCC were examined. RESULTS: The overall recurrence-free survival rate and survival rate of sectionectomy or larger resection at 5 years (45 and 79%, respectively) did not significantly differ from those of segmentectomy or smaller resection (38 and 81%, respectively) in patients with T1 HCC. However, in patients with T2 HCC, the 5-year recurrence-free survival rate and survival rate after sectionectomy or larger resection (37 and 71%, respectively) were significantly different from those after segmentectomy or smaller resection (6%: p < 0.0001, and 35%: p = 0.0027, respectively). Multivariate analysis showed sectionectomy or larger resection to be a significant independent prognostic factor for recurrence-free survival and survival in patients with T2 HCC. CONCLUSIONS: Sectionectomy or larger resection prevents intrahepatic recurrence of HCC and prolongs survival in patients with T2 HCC.  相似文献
