Using the tight-binding model approximation, this paper investigates theoretically spin-dependent quantum transport through an Aharonov-Bohm (AB) interferometer. An external magnetic field is applied to produce the spinpolarization and spin current. The AB interferometer, acting as a spin splitter, separates the opposite spin polarization current. By adjusting the energy and the direction of the magnetic field, large spin-polarized current can be obtained. 相似文献

Quantum spin transport in a mesoscopic Aharonov--Bohm ring with two leads subject to a magnetic field with circular configuration is investigated by means of one-dimensional quantum waveguide theory.Within the framework of Landauer--B\"{u}ttiker formalism, the polarization direction of transmitted electrons can be controlled either by the AB magnetic flux or by the tangent magnetic field. This paper investigates the electronic transport properties in an
Aharonov--Bohm interferometer with a quantum dot coupling to left and
right electrodes. By employing cluster expansions, it transforms the equations of
motion of Green's functions into the corresponding
equation of motion of connected Green's functions, which provides a
natural and uniform truncation scheme. With this method under the
Lacroix's truncation approximation, it shows that the asymmetric line
shape of zero bias conductance manifests itself as the Fano effect,
and the Kondo effect has been observed in the narrow peak of
differential conductance curve of the system. Our numerical results
also show that the building of Fano state suppresses the amplitude

Quantum transport through two series Aharonov--Bohm interferometers with zero total magnetic flux 下载免费PDF全文
With the help of nonequilibrium Green's function technique, the
electronic transport through series Aharonov--Bohm (AB)
interferometers is investigated. We obtain the AB interference
pattern of the transition probability characterized by the algebraic
sum \phi and the difference \theta of two magnetic fluxes, and
particularly a general rule of AB oscillation period depending on the
ratio of integer quantum numbers of the fluxes. A parity effect is
observed, showing the asymmetric AB oscillations with respect to the
even and odd quantum numbers of the total flux in antiparallel AB
interferometers. It is also shown that the AB flux can shift the Fano
resonance peaks of the transmission spectrum. 相似文献

There are two different viewpoints on the Aharonov--Bohm (A--B)
effect. One asserts that the A--B effect is due to the existence of
the vector potential A. The other asserts that the A--B
effect is due to the interaction energy between the magnetic field
produced by the moving charges and the magnetic field in the
solenoid. The difference of these two viewpoints is analyzed in this
paper. To judge which viewpoint is right, this paper suggests a new

We present transport measurements of ferromagnetically contacted carbon nanotubes. In both single- and multi-walled nanotube devices, a spin valve effect is observed due to spin-polarized transport. In one single-walled nanotube device, the spin-valve effect is suppressed as the influence of Coulomb charging is observed at around 10 K. To help understand the interplay between the Coulomb charging and the spin-polarized transport we investigated the temperature dependence of the carbon nanotube magnetoresistance. 相似文献

Using the Keldysh nonequilibrium Green function and equation-of-motion
technique, this paper studies the magnetotransport through an Aharonov--Bohm (AB) ring with
parallel double quantum dots coupled to ferromagnetic leads. It calculates
the transmission probability in both the equilibrium and the nonequilibrium
case, analyses the conductance and the tunnel magnetoresistance for
various parameters, and obtains some new results. These results show that this
system is provided with an excellent spin filtering property, and that a large
tunnelling magnetoresistance and a negative tunnelling magnetoresistance can arise
by adjusting relative parameters; these facts indicate that this system is a
possible candidate for spin valve transistors, and has important

We analyze the transport through asymmetric double quantum dots with an inhomogeneous Zeeman splitting in the presence of crossed dc and ac magnetic fields.A strong spin-polarized current can be obtained by changing the dc magnetic field.It is mainly due to the resonant tunnelling.But for the ferromagnetic right electrode,the electron spin resonance also plays an important role in transport.We show that the double quantum dots with three-level mixing under crossed dc and ac magnetic fields can act not only as a bipolar spin filter but also as a spin inverter under suitable conditions. 相似文献

Using the Keldysh nonequilibrium Green function and equation-of-motion technique, this paper investigates the spin-polarized transport properties of the T-shaped double quantum dots (DQD) coupled to two ferromagnetic leads. There are both Fano effect and Kondo effect in the system, and due to their mutual interaction, the density of states, the current, and the differential conductance of the system depend sensitively on the spin-polarized strength. Nonlocal Andreev reflection and spin current in a three-terminal Aharonov--Bohm interferometer 下载免费PDF全文
This paper theoretically reports the nonlocal Andreev
reflection and spin current in a normal metal-ferromagnetic
metal-superconducting Aharonov--Bohm interferometer. It is found that the
electronic current and spin current are sensitive to systematic
parameters, such as the gate voltage of quantum dots and the
external magnetic flux. The electronic current in the normal metal
lead results from two competing processes: quasiparticle
transmission and nonlocal Andreev reflection. The appearance of zero
spin-up electronic current (or spin-down electronic current) signals
the existence of nonlocal Andreev reflection, and the presence
of zero electronic current results in the appearance of pure spin

We investigate the quantum transport through a mesoscopic device consisting
of an open, lateral double-quantum-dot coupled by time oscillating and
spin-polarization dependent tunneling which results from a static magnetic
field applied in the tunneling junction. In the presence of a non-vanishing
bias voltage applied to two attached macroscopic leads both spin and charge
currents are driven through the device. We demonstrate that the spin and
charge currents are controllable by adjusting the gate voltage, the
frequency of driving field and the magnitude of the magnetic field as well.
An interesting resonance phenomenon is observed. 相似文献

Spin-dependent Floquet scattering theory is developed to investigate the
photon-assisted spin-polarized electron transport through a semiconductor
heterostructure in the presence of an external electric field.
Spin-dependent Fano resonances and spin-polarized electron transport through
a laser irradiated time-periodic non-magnetic heterostructure in the
presence of Dresselhaus spin-orbit interaction and a gate-controlled Rashba
spin-orbit interaction are investigated. The electric field due to laser
along with the spin-orbit interactions help to get spin-dependent Fano
resonances in the conductance, whereas the external bias can be
appropriately adjusted to get a near 80% spin-polarized electron
transmission through heterostructures. The resultant nature of the Floquet
scattering depends on the relative strength of these two electric fields. 相似文献
