Single crystals of Ba, Sr M-type hexagonal ferrites were prepared by ion exchange in Ba, Sr containing molten salts from single crystals of β″ -ferrites. A fast diffusion of the divalent Ba2+, Sr2+ is observed leading to a non-stoichiometric M-type ferrite with chemical formula: Ba1+xFe10.5Co0.25O17+x (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.25). x depending on the exchange reaction time. Saturation magnetization ranges from 19 to 64 emu/g depending on exchange conditions. The Curie temperature is (470 ± 5)°C. An easy axis direction (Ms c) has been determined in all cases. The observed anisotropy is considerably lower than that of M ferrite. The calculated anisotropy constants are, in 106 erg/cm3, K1 = 0.8 and K2 = 1.0 at room temperature.  相似文献

Magnetization σ vs. temperature T was measured from 80 to 700 K in polycrystalline DyFe3 in a magnetic field H = 10 kOe. From σ = f(T), the Curie temperature was determined. Also, σ was measured vs. H from 0 to 70 kOe at 4.2 K. Magnetization at saturation σ0 at 4.2 K and the magnetic moment of DyFe3 were also determined. First observations of domain structure in DyFe3 are reported. The mean domain with is determined in its dependence on the grain size . The magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant of polycrystalline DyFe3 is determined as K1 = -1.2×107 erg/cm3.  相似文献

We introduce a new parameterization of four-fermion operator matrix elements which does not involve quark masses and thus allows a reduction of systematic uncertainties. In order to simplify the matching between lattice and continuum renormalization schemes, we express our results in terms of renormalization group invariant B-parameters which are renormalization-scheme and scale independent. As an application of our proposal, matrix elements of ΔI=3/2 and SUSY ΔS=2 operators have been computed. The calculations have been performed using the tree-level improved Clover lattice action at two different values of the strong coupling constant (β=6/g2=6.0 and 6.2), in the quenched approximation. Renormalization constants and mixing coefficients of lattice operators have been obtained non-perturbatively. Using lowest order χPT, we also obtain ππ|O7|KNDRI=2=(0.11±0.02) GeV4 and ππ|O8|KNDRI=2=(0.51±0.05) GeV4 at μ=2 GeV.  相似文献

We present constraints on the relative photoproduction cross sections of positive parity pentaquark states, Σ5, Λ5, and N5, based on a minimum phenomenology gained in and their baryon–meson couplings as in the work of Close and Dudek. The possibility of anomalous signals in γpK0S+d+) is discussed. We emphasize the importance of comparing with “conventional” states such as γNKΣ(1660).  相似文献

We have used electron spin resonance measurements to derive the temperature and frequency dependences of the field-induced magnetization [M(T, f)] and anisotropy field [Han (T)] in a number of amorphous alloys belonging to the series (FepNi1−p)75P16B6Al3. In re-entrant (p > pc, the critical concentration for ferromagnetism) alloys at hi gh frequencies (f = 35 GHz, field ≈ 12 kOe) M reduces as T3/2 at high T and as T below ≈ 40 K, the deviation from T3/2 becoming more marked as pp+c. For p close to pc, lowering the frequency first causes the T term to increase and ultimately ( ≈ 4 GHz) changes the variation of M with T to that discovered previously for concentrated spin glasses, namely M is constant at low T and drops linearly at high temperatures. For the re-entrants, the results are interpreted on the basis of a model which invokes an energy gap in the spin-wave spectrum, introduces a non-zero density of states of the gap energy and takes into consideration a low-q cut-off in the spin-wave integral in thelow-T (T) regime.In the concentrated spin glasses [M (0) - M (T)]/ M (0) is well represented by the function [exp (Δ / T) - 1]-1, where Δ has values close to the corresponding Curie-Weiss temperatures θp but much larger than the respective spin glass transition temperatures TSG. The temperature dependence of Han is largely given by the function (1 - T/T*), where T* is equal to the zero-field freezing temperature for the re-entrants and TSG for the spin glasses, respectively.  相似文献

The magnetic field dependence of the in-plane penetration depth λ|(H) for single crystal κ-(ET)2Cu[N(CN)2]Br has been measured at 3, 9.6, and 36 MHz. Over a limited range, λ| scales with a characteristic field H*(T) that coincides with a shoulder in the λ| vs. H curves. Above that field, λ| increases sharply toward a second inflection point at H**(T) that coincides with is close to the irreversibility line measured by magnetization. For fields larger than H** the penetration depth diverges, suggesting that the vortex lattice has melted. The field dependence at one frequency agrees qualitatively with a model of pinned vortices at low fields giving way to flux flow at higher fields. However, the observed frequency dependence deviates significantly from the predictions of this model, suggesting that collective effects play a major role. Our technique also yields a new measurement for the interplane penetration depth λ 300 μm, implying an anisotropy λ| > 200.  相似文献

Anomalous magnetotransport phenomena have been observed in θ-(BEDT-TTF)2I3 crystals at temperatures below 15 K. The magnetoresistance M : (1) is a linear function of the magnetic field H, (2) is not affected by the angle between the electric current and the magnetic field, (3) but depends on the magnetic field orientation with respect to the crystal axis. Magnetoresistance is expressed as M = (aH2a + bH2b + cH2c)0-3/2/H in terms of H = (Ha, Hb, Hc), the zero field resistivity 0, and parameters a, b, and c which are independent of temperature and magnetic field. We have found that b a > c. Magnetoresistance up to 40 is observed for H = 7T along the b-axis at T = 1.5K.  相似文献

We calculate d(γ, K+) inclusive cross sections with the full inclusion of the final ΛN - ΣN interaction. Modern hyperon-nucleon forces and a recently updated production operator for the γ + NK+ + Y process are used. Significant effects of the hyperon-nucleon final-state interaction have been found especially around the K+ΣN threshold.  相似文献

Fluorescence decay curves for 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)-21H,23H-porphine tetraanion (TPPS4−) have been measured in the absence and presence of the methylviologen dication (MV2+) with various ionic strengths in methanol. In the presence of MV2+ the fluorescence decays can be expressed by a double exponential function, I(t = I1exp(−t1) + I2exp(−t2). The contribution by the faster decay component to the total fluorescence signal increases with increasing MV2+ concentration. The faster decay process is attributed to fluorescence from the excited state of a solvent-separated ion pair (SSIP) formed between TPPS4− and MV2+, and the slower process is attributed to fluorescence from free TPPS4− ions in the solution. Rate constants for the quenching of fluorescence from free TPPS4− by MV2+ (kq) and formation constants for the SSIP (KSSIP) were calculated and both are found to decrease with increasing ionic strength. The decrease in kq and KSSIP values can be interpreted in terms of the shielding of electrostatic attraction between the ions.  相似文献

The 63Cu NMR Knight shift K and spin-lattice relaxation rate 1/T1 have been measured to study the thiospinel superconductor Cu1.5Rh1.5S4 from a microscopic viewpoint. K is negative and has a weak dependence on temperature, and the hyperfine coupling constant Hhfd is estimated to be −52.4 kOe/μB. 1/T1 is proportional to the temperature in the normal state. In the superconducting state, 1/T1 takes a coherence peak just below Tc, and decreases exponentially well below Tc, from whose temperature dependence the superconducting energy gap has been proved to be close to 2Δ = 3.52kBTc given by the BCS theory.  相似文献

The reactions pppΛK+ and pppΣ0K+ are studied near their thresholds. The strangeness production process is described by the π- and K exchange mechanisms. Effects from the final state interaction in the hyperon-nucleon system are taken into account rigorously. The Λ production turns out to be dominated by K exchange whereas K- as well as π exchange play an important role for the Σ0 case. It is shown that the experimentally observed strong suppression of Σ0 production compared to Λ production at the same excess energy can be explained by a destructive interference between π and K exchange in the reaction pppΣ0K+. Implications of such an interference on the reaction ppnΣ+K+ are pointed out.  相似文献

The coercive force of small, acicular ( 2000 Å length, 8:1 length-to-diameter ratio) spinel-type iron oxide particles increases substantially following surface treatment with sodium polyphosphate. Regardless of Fe2+/Fe3+ cation ratio, Hc always attains a peak value when the polyphosphate/iron oxide weight ratio P/Fe is in the range 0.5–0.6, denoted (P/Fe)max. The maximum change in Hc is observed when Fe2+/Fe3+ ≈ 0.10–0.15. When P/Fe0.5–0.6, however, both magnitude and sign of the change in coercive force show strong dependence on the Fe2+ content of the oxide, suggesting that the Hc changes are caused by a magnetostrictive mechanism at these high treatment ratios. Calculated anisotropy field distributions of treated specimens show that both the mean anisotropy field δHkδG and predicted Hc reach a peak when particles are treated at (P/Fe)max, where the distribution becomes very broad. At high treatment ratios both δHkδG and predicted Hc decrease to values below that of the untreated oxide. Mössbauer studies of treated and untreated particles show no significant change in the environment of surface iron ions following treatement at P/FE = 0.5, but indicate a small increase in the Fe3+ concentration of the particle core. When P/Fe = 2.5, however, the Fe2+ concentration of the core increases markedly.  相似文献

We have investigated the reversible mixed-state magnetization M of three lanthanum substituted Bi1.95Sr2.05−xLaxCuOy (Bi-2201) ceramic samples having different critical temperatures Tc ranging from 20.0 to 35.5 K. As for the Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ (Bi-2212) phase, we found that anisotropy of Bi-2201 is large. A manifestation of this anisotropy is the field independent magnetization M* observed at a temperature T*. In the framework of the London model, and including thermal fluctuations of vortices, we found for the temperature dependence of the penetration depth λab(T) = λab(0)[1 − (T/Tc0)n]−1/2, with n 1.7 and λab (T = 0) 4000 Å. The estimated upper critical fields μ0Hc2,c are of the order of 10 T. We observe a peculiar negative slope M/T at low temperature and sufficiently high external magnetic field. This feature seems to be a characteristic of the Bi-2201 phase. However, we do not know whether it is associated with the superconducting mixed-state. A small amount of magnetic impurities could also be responsible for this behavior. Finally, the behavior of the reversible magnetization of the Bi-2201 samples investigated, which are situated at the optimal and in the overdoped region, did not indicate any unusual temperature dependence for the upper critical field Hc2,c.  相似文献

We study the statistical properties of the scattering matrix S(q|k) for the problem of the scattering of light of frequency ω from a randomly rough one-dimensional surface, defined by the equation x3=ζ(x1), where the surface profile function ζ(x1) constitutes a zero-mean, stationary, Gaussian random process. This is done by studying the effects of S(q|k) on the angular intensity correlation function C(q,k|q',k')=〈I(q|k)I(q'|k')〉-〈I(q|k)〉〈I(q'|k')〉, where the intensity I(q|k) is defined in terms of S(q|k) by I(q|k)=L-11(ω/c)|S(q|k)|2, with L1 the length of the x1 axis covered by the random surface. We focus our attention on the C(1) and C(10) correlation functions, which are the contributions to C(q,k|q',k') proportional to δ(q-k-q'+k') and δ(q-k+q'-k'), respectively. The existence of both of these correlation functions is consistent with the amplitude of the scattered field obeying complex Gaussian statistics in the limit of a long surface and in the presence of weak surface roughness. We show that the deviation of the statistics of the scattering matrix from complex circular Gaussian statistics and the C(10) correlation function are determined by exactly the same statistical moment of S(q|k). As the random surface becomes rougher, the amplitude of the scattered field no longer obeys complex Gaussian statistics but obeys complex circular Gaussian statistics instead. In this case the C(10) correlation function should therefore vanish. This result is confirmed by numerical simulation calculations.  相似文献

The π0 spectrum in the KL0 → 3π decay was measured using a wire chambers magnetic spectrometer. In the usual approximation, the matrix element can be expressed as: M2 ≈ 1 + 2a0(MK/Mπ2)(2Tπ0Tπ0max) + a1(MK2/Mπ4)(2Tπ0Tπ0max)2. We obtained a0 = −0.282 ± 0.011 and a1 consistent with zero.  相似文献

Dyonic membranes     
We present dyonic multi-membrane solutions of the N = 2 D = 8 supergravity theory that serves as the effective field theory of the T2-compactified type II superstring theory. The ‘electric’ charge is fractional for generic asymptotic values of an axion field, as for D = 4 dyons. These membrane solutions are supersymmetric, saturate a Bogomolnyi bound, fill out orbits of an subgroup of the type II D = 8 T-duality group, and are non-singular when considered as solutions of T3-compactified D = 11 supergravity. On K3 compactification to D = 4, the conjectured type II/heterotic equivalence allows the group to be reinterpreted as the S-duality group of the toroidally compactified heterotic string and the dyonic membranes wrapped around homology two-cycles of K3 as S-duals of perturbative heterotic string states.  相似文献

A Finslerian manifold is called a generalized Einstein manifold (GEM) if the Ricci directional curvature R(u,u) is independent of the direction. Let F0(M, gt) be a deformation of a compact n-dimensional Finslerian manifold preserving the volume of the unitary fibre bundle W(M). We prove that the critical points g0 F0(gt) of the integral I(gt) on W(M) of the Finslerian scalar curvature (and certain functions of the scalar curvature) define a GEM. We give an estimate of the eigenvalues of Laplacian Δ defined on W(M) operating on the functions coming from the base when (M, g) is of minima fibration with a constant scalar curvature H admitting a conformal infinitesimal deformation (CID). We obtain λ ≥ H/(n − 1) (Δf = λf). If M is simply connected and λ = H/(n − 1), then (M, g) is Riemannian and is isometric to an n-sphere. We first calculate, in the general case, the formula of the second variationals of the integral I (gt) for G = g0, then for a CID we show that for certain Finslerian manifolds, I″(g0) > 0. Applications to the gravitation and electromagnetism in general relativity are given. We prove that the spaces characterizing Einstein-Maxwell equations are GEMs.  相似文献

The 59.5 keV Mössbauer resonance of 237Np has been measured in Np3S5 at 77 and 4.2 K. At 77 K, two different quadrupolar splittings are observed. The first one (δ1 = −5(1) mm sec−1/NpAl2) is assigned to the Np4+ ions and the second one (δ2 = 28(1) mm sec−1/NpAl2) is assigned to the Np3+ ions. At 4.2 K the spectrum gives a ratio of areas S(Np3+)/S(Np4+) of 2.0. These results clearly confirm the crystallographic data of this mixed-valence material.  相似文献

The nucleation mechanism to predict coercivity values in melt-spun exchange-coupled (Nd1−xPrx)yFe94−yB6 alloys for various Nd:Pr ratios x, and Fe:RE ratios y, was tested using the dependence of the anisotropy constant K1 on Pr content x for the minimum nucleation field HNmin in the modified Brown's equation. Very good agreement was found between experimental data and theoretical values, confirming the predominance of the nucleation of reverse domains over the wall pinning process in the coercivity mechanism of melt spun REFeB alloys.  相似文献
