通过考虑扩散效应的影响,采用数值方法,研究了一维稳态闭路光伏暗空间孤子的自偏转特性。结果表明,在扩散项的影响下,光伏暗空间孤子光束的中心沿一个抛物线轨迹在光折变晶体光轴方向上产生偏转;孤子中心偏转距离随光伏场以及入射孤子波强度的增加而单调增加。光伏暗空间孤子与明孤子的自偏转规律有明显不同。 相似文献

修正了有偏压的光伏光折变晶体中屏蔽光伏孤子的理论。用微扰法研究了屏蔽光伏孤子的自偏转,得出孤子光呸中心的运动为抛物线,并且空间频率分量随传播距离而线性移动,改变外偏压或旋转光的偏振方向可以控制其自偏转。当光伏效应可忽略时,屏蔽光伏孤子的非线性波动方程就转化为屏蔽孤子的非线性波动方程,它的自偏转就转化为屏蔽孤子的自偏转。当外偏压为零时,屏蔽光伏孤子的非线性波动方程就转化为光伏孤子的非线性波动方程,它的自偏转证明了光伏孤子中也存在着自偏转。 相似文献

分别用数值法和微扰法研究了考虑背景光时光伏暗空间孤子的自偏转特性.与亮孤子不同,暗孤子光束中心的运动轨迹不为抛物线.在归一化的直角坐标系(ξ,ζ)中,暗孤子朝ξ>0的方向偏转;同时,暗孤子光束中心光强发生改变.通过调节晶体对信号光和背景光的有效光伏系数之比r或信号光光强可以控制它的自偏转.还用数值方法研究了灰空间孤子的自偏转特性,发现灰孤子光束自偏转特性依赖于横向初速度v.当v>0时,灰孤子光束朝ξ>0的方向

提出了一个考虑背景光光伏效应贡献的光伏孤子理论,它指出在折射率变化为正的晶体中,既可产生光伏亮孤子,也可产生光伏暗孤子.当背景光对信号光的有效Glass系数之比为R小于1时,孤子是亮的;R大于1时,孤子是暗的.对亮孤子而言,R值越大,孤子越宽,而对暗孤子,R值越大,孤子越窄.当R为1时,不能形成光伏孤子.一维暗孤子实验结果与理论一致.

We investigate the interaction of spatial dark optical soliton pair in open-circuit photovoltaic photorefractive crystals by considering the effect of background light and diffusion nonlinearity. We show that the spatial dark solitons repel each other and travel along different trajectories for the coherent interactions that one undergoes reflection and the other one deflects significantly when they are closely overlapped, and the dark solitons attract and deflect simultaneously along a parabolic trajectory for the case of incoherent interactions. The deflection distance depends on the intensities and the initial separation between the dark solitons. 相似文献

A new type of spatial solitons i.e. pyroelectric photovoltaic spatial solitons based on the combination of pyroelectric and photovoltaic effect is predicted theoretically. It shows that bright, dark and grey spatial solitons can exist in unbiased photovoltaic photorefractive crystals with appreciable pyroelectric effect. Especially, the bright soliton can form in self-defocusing photovoltaic crystals if it gives larger self-focusing pyroelectric effect. 相似文献

Higher-order space-charge field effects on the self-deflection of photovoltaic dark spatial solitons
We investigate theoretically the effects of higher-order space-charge field on the self-deflection of photovoltaic dark spatial solitons by numerical method under steady-state conditions. The expression for an induced space-charge electric field, including higher-order space-charge field terms is obtained. Numerical results indicate that photovoltaic dark solitons possess self-deflection process during propagation, and the solitons always bend in the direction of the c-axis of the crystal. The self-deflection of dark solitons can experience considerable increase especially in the regime of high photovoltaic field strengths. Relevant examples are provided. 相似文献

A simple scheme is presented to steer the propagation of a spatial photovoltaic soliton in a photovoltaic crystal. The basic idea is to impose a sinusoidal phase modulation on the light beam before entering the crystal. It is found that the self-deflection, soliton-like propagation, annihilation and splitting of this spatial-phase-modulated (SPM) beam can be realized by choosing appropriate modulation parameters; besides, a SPM beam can produce a waveguide with strong stability to steer a non-phase-modulated beam. We have observed two-dimensional bright photorefractive spatial soliton for the first time in a Ce:KNSBN fiber-like crystal at wave-length of 514.5 nm with the intensity range between 2.83 × 103 W/cm2 and 4.71 × 103 W/cm2, then compared it with the one formed in a bulk sample. By comparison we have found that the intensity of forming a soliton in a fiber-like crystal is 7 9 times that in a bulk crystal due to stronger scattering light and complicated multi-wave interaction. By comparison we have also found that the transverse dimensions of a soliton formed in a fiber-like crystal are about 4% smaller than the ones in a bulk crystal when the experimental geometry remains the same, then we have exploited the theory including the contribution of scattering field to interpret the experimental phenomenon. 相似文献

The conditions necessary for obtaining holographic solitons in centrosymmetric photorefractive crystals are discussed. When both the intensity modulation of the two interacting waves and the angle between the vector of each beam and the longitudinal axis are small, centrosymmetric photorefractive crystals with a positive (or negative ) effective quadratic electro-optic coefficient are able to support bright (or dark) holographic solitons. The intensity width at half maximum of bright and dark solitons is inversely proportional to the external bias field. The holographic solitons can also exit in dissipative centrosymmetric photorefractive crystals when the applied external bias field is large enough. 相似文献

We investigate theoretically the time behavior of spatial solitons in biased centrosymmetric photorefractive crystals. A one-dimensional time-dependent wave propagation equation in biased centrosymmetric photorefractive crystals is presented. It is shown that the bright solitons exist in both quasi-steady-state and steady-state regimes for high saturation values. When the intensity ratio is smaller than unity, the bright soliton width decreases monotonically to a minimum value toward steady state. Moreover, the time-dependent nonlinear wave equation exhibits only steady-state screening dark spatial solitons. 相似文献
