Pairing and Quantum Double of Multiplier Hopf Algebras   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
We define and investigate pairings of multiplier Hopf (*-)algebras which are nonunital generalizations of Hopf algebras. Dual pairs of multiplier Hopf algebras arise naturally from any multiplier Hopf algebra A with integral and its dual Â. Pairings of multiplier Hopf algebras play a basic rôle, e.g., in the study of actions and coactions, and, in particular, in the relation between them. This aspect of the theory is treated elsewhere. In this paper we consider the quantum double construction out of a dual pair of multiplier Hopf algebras. We show that two dually paired regular multiplier Hopf (*-)algebras A and B yield a quantum double which is again a regular multiplier Hopf (*-)algebra. If A and B have integrals, then the quantum double also has an integral. If A and B are Hopf algebras, then the quantum double multiplier Hopf algebra is the usual quantum double. The quantum double construction for dually paired multiplier Hopf (*-)algebras yields new nontrivial examples of multiplier Hopf (*-)algebras.  相似文献

In this paper, we will develop the smash product of weak multiplier Hopf algebras unifying the cases of Hopf algebras, weak Hopf algebras and multiplier Hopf algebras. We will show that the smash product R#A has a regular weak multiplier Hopf algebra structure if R and A are regular weak multiplier Hopf algebras. We shall investigate integrals on R#A. We also consider the result in the ?-situation and new examples. Dually, we consider the smash coproduct of weak multiplier Hopf algebras under an appropriate form and integrals on the smash coproduct and we obtain results in the ?-situation.  相似文献

In this article we lay the algebraic foundations to establish the existence of trace functions on infinite-dimensional (multiplier) Hopf algebras. We solve the problem within the framework of multiplier Hopf algebra with integrals. By applying this theory to group-cograded multiplier Hopf algebras, we prove the existence of group-traces on group-cograded multiplier Hopf algebras with possibly infinite-dimensional components. We generalize the results as obtained by Virelizier in the case of finite-type Hopf group-coalgebras.  相似文献

We give a different proof for a structure theorem of Hausser and Nill on Hopf modules over quasi-Hopf algebras. We extend the structure theorem to a classification of two-sided two-cosided Hopf modules by Yetter-Drinfeld modules, which can be defined in two rather different manners for the quasi-Hopf case. The category equivalence between Hopf modules and Yetter-Drinfeld modules leads to a new construction of the Drinfeld double of a quasi-Hopf algebra, as proposed by Majid and constructed by Hausser and Nill.

In this paper, we introduce a generalized Hopf Galois theory for regular multiplier Hopf algebras with integrals, which might be viewed as a generalization of the Hopf Galois theory of finite-dimensional Hopf algebras. We introduce the notion of a coaction of a multiplier Hopf algebra on an algebra. We show that there is a duality for actions and coactions of multiplier Hopf algebras with integrals. In order to study the Galois (co)action of a multiplier Hopf algebra with an integral, we construct a Morita context connecting the smash product and the coinvariants. A Galois (co)action can be characterized by certain surjectivity of a canonical map in the Morita context. Finally, we apply the Morita theory to obtain the duality theorems for actions and coactions of a co-Frobenius Hopf algebra.  相似文献

For a quasi-Hopf algebra H, a left H-comodule algebra  and a right H-module coalgebra C we will characterize the category of Doi–Hopf modules C ?(H) in terms of modules. We will also show that for an H-bicomodule algebra  and an H-bimodule coalgebra C the category of generalized Yetter–Drinfeld modules (H) C is isomorphic to a certain category of Doi–Hopf modules. Using this isomorphism we will transport the properties from the category of Doi–Hopf modules to the category of generalized Yetter–Drinfeld modules.  相似文献

Let G be a group and assume that (A p ) pG is a family of algebras with identity. We have a Hopf G-coalgebra (in the sense of Turaev) if, for each pair p,qG, there is given a unital homomorphism Δ p,q : A pq A p A q satisfying certain properties. Consider now the direct sum A of these algebras. It is an algebra, without identity, except when G is a finite group, but the product is non-degenerate. The maps Δ p,q can be used to define a coproduct Δ on A and the conditions imposed on these maps give that (A,Δ) is a multiplier Hopf algebra. It is G-cograded as explained in this paper. We study these so-called group-cograded multiplier Hopf algebras. They are, as explained above, more general than the Hopf group-coalgebras as introduced by Turaev. Moreover, our point of view makes it possible to use results and techniques from the theory of multiplier Hopf algebras in the study of Hopf group-coalgebras (and generalizations). In a separate paper, we treat the quantum double in this context and we recover, in a simple and natural way (and generalize) results obtained by Zunino. In this paper, we study integrals, in general and in the case where the components are finite-dimensional. Using these ideas, we obtain most of the results of Virelizier on this subject and consider them in the framework of multiplier Hopf algebras. Presented by Ken Goodearl.  相似文献

Let G be any group and let K(G) denote the multiplier Hopf algebra of complex functions with finite support in G. The product in K(G) is pointwise. The comultiplication on K(G) is defined with values in the multiplier algebra M(K(G) ⊗K(G )) by the formula for all and . In this paper we consider multiplier Hopf algebras B (over ) such that there is an embedding I: K(G) →M(B). This embedding is a non-degenerate algebra homomorphism which respects the comultiplication and maps K(G) into the center of M(B). These multiplier Hopf algebras are called G-cograded multiplier Hopf algebras. They are a generalization of the Hopf group-coalgebras as studied by Turaev and Virelizier. In this paper, we also consider an admissible action π of the group G on a G-cograded multiplier Hopf algebra B. When B is paired with a multiplier Hopf algebra A, we construct the Drinfel’d double D π where the coproduct and the product depend on the action π. We also treat the *-algebra case. If π is the trivial action, we recover the usual Drinfel’d double associated with the pair . On the other hand, also the Drinfel’d double, as constructed by Zunino for a finite-type Hopf group-coalgebra, is an example of the construction above. In this case, the action is non-trivial but related with the adjoint action of the group on itself. Now, the double is again a G-cograded multiplier Hopf algebra. Presented by K. Goodearl.  相似文献

We show that Turaev's group-coalgebras and Hopf group-coalgebras are coalgebras and Hopf algebras in a symmetric monoidal category, which we call the Turaev category. A similar result holds for group-algebras and Hopf group-algebras. As an application, we give an alternative approach to Virelizier's version of the Fundamental Theorem for Hopf algebras. We introduce Yetter–Drinfeld modules over Hopf group-coalgebras using the center construction.  相似文献

The group of Hopf algebra automorphisms for a finite-dimensional semisimple cosemisimple Hopf algebra over a field k was considered by Radford and Waterhouse. In this paper, the groups of Hopf algebra automorphisms for two classes of pointed Hopf algebras are determined. Note that the Hopf algebras we consider are not semisimple Hopf algebras.   相似文献

In this paper, we define the notion of self-dual graded weak Hopf algebra and self-dual semilattice graded weak Hopf algebra. We give characterization of finite-dimensional such algebras when they are in structually simple forms in the sense of E. L. Green and E. N. Morcos. We also give the definition of self-dual weak Hopf quiver and apply these types of quivers to classify the finite- dimensional self-dual semilattice graded weak Hopf algebras. Finally, we prove partially the conjecture given by N. Andruskiewitsch and H.-J. Schneider in the case of finite-dimensional pointed semilattice graded weak Hopf algebra H when grH is self-dual.  相似文献

A Hopf algebra is a pair (A, Δ) whereAis an associative algebra with identity andΔa homomorphism formAtoAAsatisfying certain conditions. If we drop the assumption thatAhas an identity and if we allowΔto have values in the so-called multiplier algebraM(AA), we get a natural extension of the notion of a Hopf algebra. We call this a multiplier Hopf algebra. The motivating example is the algebra of complex functions with finite support on a group with the comultiplication defined as dual to the product in the group. Also for these multiplier Hopf algebras, there is a natural notion of left and right invariance for linear functionals (called integrals in Hopf algebra theory). We show that, if such invariant functionals exist, they are unique (up to a scalar) and faithful. For a regular multiplier Hopf algebra (A, Δ) (i.e., with invertible antipode) with invariant functionals, we construct, in a canonical way, the dual (Â, Δ). It is again a regular multiplier Hopf algebra with invariant functionals. It is also shown that the dual of (Â, Δ) is canonically isomorphic with the original multiplier Hopf algebra (A, Δ). It is possible to generalize many aspects of abstract harmonic analysis here. One can define the Fourier transform; one can prove Plancherel's formula. Because any finite-dimensional Hopf algebra is a regular multiplier Hopf algebra and has invariant functionals, our duality theorem applies to all finite-dimensional Hopf algebras. Then it coincides with the usual duality for such Hopf algebras. But our category of multiplier Hopf algebras also includes, in a certain way, the discrete (quantum) groups and the compact (quantum) groups. Our duality includes the duality between discrete quantum groups and compact quantum groups. In particular, it includes the duality between compact abelian groups and discrete abelian groups. One of the nice features of our theory is that we have an extension of this duality to the non-abelian case, but within one category. This is shown in the last section of our paper where we introduce the algebras of compact type and the algebras of discrete type. We prove that also these are dual to each other. We treat an example that is sufficiently general to illustrate most of the different features of our theory. It is also possible to construct the quantum double of Drinfel'd within this category. This provides a still wider class of examples. So, we obtain many more than just the compact and discrete quantum within this setting.  相似文献

For K, a finite extension of ? p with ring of integers R, we show how Breuil–Kisin modules can be used to determine Hopf orders in K-Hopf algebras of p-power dimension. We find all cyclic Breuil–Kisin modules and use them to compute all of the Hopf orders in the group ring KΓ where Γ is cyclic of order p or p 2. We also give a Laurent series interpretation of the Breuil–Kisin modules that give these Hopf orders.  相似文献

We propose the notion of Hopf module algebra and show that the projection onto the subspace of coinvariants is an idempotent Rota-Baxter operator of weight-1. We also provide a construction of Hopf module algebras by using Yetter-Drinfeld module algebras. As an application,we prove that the positive part of a quantum group admits idempotent Rota-Baxter algebra structures.  相似文献

Abstract

Integrals in Hopf algebras are an essential tool in studying finite dimensional Hopf algebras and their action on rings. Over fields it has been shown by Sweedler that the existence of integrals in a Hopf algebra is equivalent to the Hopf algebra being finite dimensional. In this paper we examine how much of this is true Hopf algebras over rings. We show that over any commutative ring R that is not a field there exists a Hopf algebra H over R containing a non-zero integral but not being finitely generated as R-module. On the contrary we show that Sweedler's equivalence is still valid for free Hopf algebras or projective Hopf algebras over integral domains. Analogously for a left H-module algebra A we study the influence of non-zero left A#H-linear maps from A to A#H on H being finitely generated as R-module. Examples and application to separability are given.  相似文献

Abstract

This paper, mainly gives a Fundamental Theorem of weak Doi–Hopf modules, which is not only generalizes the Fundamental Theorem of weak Hopf modules but also generalizes the Fundamental Theorem of relative Hopf modules. Moreover, it gives a sufficient and necessary condition for weak smash product algebras to be weak bialgebras, and a sufficient condition for weak smash product algebras to be semisimple weak Hopf algebras.  相似文献

Multiplier Hopf algebroids are algebraic versions of quantum groupoids that generalize Hopf algebroids to the non-unital case and weak (multiplier) Hopf algebras to non-separable base algebras. The main structure maps of a multiplier Hopf algebroid are a left and a right comultiplication. We show that bijectivity of two associated canonical maps is equivalent to the existence of an antipode, discusses invertibility of the antipode, and presents some examples and special cases.  相似文献
