Let τ be some triangulation of a planar polygonal domain Ω. Given a smooth functionu, we construct piecewise polynomial functionsvC ρ(Ω) of degreen=3 ρ for ρ odd, andn=3ρ+1 for ρ even on a subtriangulation τ3 of τ. The latter is obtained by subdividing eachT∈ρ into three triangles, andv/T is a composite triangular finite element, generalizing the classicalC 1 cubic Hsieh-Clough-Tocher (HCT) triangular scheme. The functionv interpolates the derivatives ofu up to order ρ at the vertices of τ. Polynomial degrees obtained in this way are minimal in the family of interpolation schemes based on finite elements of this type.  相似文献

二元切触有理插值是有理插值的一个重要内容,而降低其函数的次数和解决其函数的存在性是有理插值的一个重要问题.二元切触有理插值算法的可行性大都是有条件的,且计算复杂度较大,有理函数的次数较高.利用二元Hermite(埃米特)插值基函数的方法和二元多项式插值误差性质,构造出了一种二元切触有理插值算法并将其推广到向量值情形.较之其它算法,有理插值函数的次数和计算量较低.最后通过数值实例说明该算法的可行性是无条件的,且计算量低.  相似文献

This article is devoted to the construction of a Hermite-type regularization operator transforming functions that are not necessarily into globally finite-element functions that are piecewise polynomials. This regularization operator is a projection, it preserves appropriate first and second order polynomial traces, and it has approximation properties of optimal order. As an illustration, it is used to discretize a nonhomogeneous Navier-Stokes problem, with tangential boundary condition.

In 1999, Dubuc and Merrien introduced a Hermite subdivision scheme which gives C 1-interpolants on a rectangular mesh. In this paper a two parameter version of this scheme is analyzed, and C 1-convergence is proved for a range of the two parameters. By introducing a control grid the parameters in the scheme can be chosen so that the interpolant inherits positivity and/or directional monotonicity from the initial data. This paper presents a local Hermite radial basis function interpolation scheme for the velocity and pressure fields. The interpolation for velocity satisfies the continuity equation (mass conservative interpolation) while the pressure interpolation obeys the pressure equation. Additionally, the Dual Reciprocity Boundary Element method (DRBEM) is applied to obtain an integral representation of the Navier-Stokes equations. Then, the proposed local interpolation is used to obtain the values of the field variables and their partial derivatives at the boundary of the sub-domains. This interpolation allows one to obtain the boundary values needed for the integral formulas for velocity and pressure at some nodes within the sub-domains. In the proposed approach the boundary elements are merely used to parameterize the geometry, but not for the evaluation of the integrals as it is usually done. The presented multi-domain approach is different from the traditional ones in boundary elements because the resulting integral equations are non singular and the boundary data needed for the boundary integrals are approximated using a local interpolation. Some accurate results for simple Stokes problems and for the Navier-Stokes equations at low Reynolds numbers up to Re = 400 were obtained.  相似文献

We develop and analyse Neumann–Neumann methods for hpfinite-element approximations of scalar elliptic problems ongeometrically refined boundary layer meshes in three dimensions.These are meshes that are highly anisotropic where the aspectratio typically grows exponentially with the polynomial degree.The condition number of our preconditioners is shown to be independentof the aspect ratio of the mesh and of potentially large jumpsof the coefficients. In addition, it only grows polylogarithmicallywith the polynomial degree, as in the case of p approximationson shape-regular meshes. This work generalizes our previousone on two-dimensional problems in Toselli & Vasseur (2003a,submitted to Numerische Mathematik, 2003c to appear in Comput.Methods Appl. Mech. Engng.) and the estimates derived here canbe employed to prove condition number bounds for certain typesof FETI methods.  相似文献

In a recent paper of the author [A. Sidi, A new approach to vector-valued rational interpolation, J. Approx. Theory 130 (2004) 177–187], three new interpolation procedures for vector-valued functions F(z), where F:CCN, were proposed, and some of their algebraic properties were studied. One of these procedures, denoted IMPE, was defined via the solution of a linear least-squares problem. In the present work, we concentrate on IMPE, and study its convergence properties when it is applied to meromorphic functions with simple poles and orthogonal vector residues. We prove de Montessus and Koenig type theorems when the points of interpolation are chosen appropriately.  相似文献

We construct a basis for S in terms of box splines and truncated powers. This allows us to determine the polynomials which are locally contained in S and to give upper and lower bounds for the degree of approximation. The purpose of this paper is to put forward a kind of Hermite interpolation scheme on the unit sphere. We prove the superposition interpolation process for Hermite interpolation on the sphere and give some examples of interpolation schemes. The numerical examples shows that this method for Hermite interpolation on the sphere is feasible. And this paper can be regarded as an extension and a development of Lagrange interpolation on the sphere since it includes Lagrange interpolation as a particular case.  相似文献

The object of this paper is to complete the results obtained in [3] by showing that the new mixed finite element that we have constructed in [3] also works for quadrilateral elements and to compare this method with the standard finite volume method. A method for constructing two-dimensional interpolation mesh functions is proposed that is more flexible than the classical cubic spline method because it makes it possible to construct interpolation surfaces that fit the given function at specified points by varying certain parameters. This article presents and analyzes a simple method for the exterior Laplace equation through the coupling of finite and boundary element methods. The main novelty is the use of a smooth parametric artificial boundary where boundary elements fit without effort together with a straight approximate triangulation in the bounded area, with the coupling done only in nodes. In this article, two Morley type non‐C0 nonconforming rectangular finite elements are discussed to numerically solve the fourth order plate bending problem under anisotropic meshes. The optimal anisotropic interpolation error and consistency error estimates are obtained by using some novel approaches. In this paper, we analyze a divergence-free finite element method to solve a fluid–structure interaction spectral problem in the three-dimensional case. The unknowns of the resulting formulation are the fluid and solid displacements and the fluid pressure on the interface separating both media. The resulting mixed eigenvalue problem is approximated by using appropriate basis of the divergence-free lowest order Raviart–Thomas elements for the fluid, piecewise linear elements for the solid and piecewise constant elements for the interface pressure. It is proved that eigenvalues and eigenfunctions are correctly approximated and some numerical results are reported in order to assess the performance of the method.  相似文献
