Refractive index profiles have been obtained at different heights in the region above a candle flame both theoretically and experimentally by means of double and multiple exposure speckle photography. Improved fringe visibility has been achieved in the case of the multiple exposure technique giving rise to accurate measurement of the refractive index. Theoretical analysis shows that the resulting speckle pattern is equivalent to the ordinary pattern convolved with a function representing the effect of light deflection, while the interference pattern obtained is modulated by a background representing the autocorrelation function of the diffuser.  相似文献

Joint development of a laser monitor for the real-time bio-tissue analysis is presented. The monitor is based on the digital dynamic laser speckle photography and deals with soft and hard bio-tissues. In soft tissues, the dynamic bio-speckles are formed in a scattered from a tissue laser light. An optically transparent model of hard bio-tissue was prepared and preliminary analysis of a stress field in the stressed model was performed using the dependence of the refractive index of transparent solids upon the state of stress and the double exposure speckle photography data. The refractive index of the stressed material was evaluated and the state of stress was reconstructed using the stress-optical law.  相似文献

We report a method measuring 3-D displacement of cambered mirror for cryogenic optical system using white light speckle photography with double light sources and double cameras. A speckle photography technique has been applied to measuring the velocity profiles of laminar and turbulent flow through pipes of circular cross-section. A single exposure photography technique has been used to visualize slow fluid flow. The fluids used were seeded with tracer particles whose size range from 20 to about 120 μm in diameter. A mathematical expression representing the recorded intensity is presented. A single exposure with a long exposure time was taken on a holographic film material. The recorded intensity was represented by the convolution product of the image formed and a rectangular function representing a one-dimensional continuous motion. The analysis shows that the intensity distribution of the Fourier spectrum of the diffracted image follows a sinc2 function on a noise background representing the scattered light of the tracer particles.  相似文献

Algebraic Reynolds stress model (ARSM) is often employed in practical turbulent flow simulations. Most of previous works on ARSM have been carried out for incompressible flows. In the present paper, a new ARSM model is suggested for compressible flows. The model adopts a compressibility factor function involving the turbulent Mach number and the gradient Mach number. Compared to incompressible flow, explicit solution for ARSM for compressible flow can hardly be obtained due to dilatation terms. We propose approximate representations for these dilatation-related terms to obtain an explicit procedure for compressible flow turbulence. The model is applied to compressible mixing layer, supersonic flat-plate boundary and planar supersonic wake flow. It is found that the model works very well yielding results that are in good agreement with the DNS and the experimental data.  相似文献

Stereoscopic digital speckle photography offers a technique to measure object shapes and 3-D displacement fields in experimental mechanics. The system measures the displacement of a random white light speckle pattern, which somehow is present on the object surface, using digital correlation. This paper describes a general physical model for stereo imaging systems. A camera calibration algorithm, which takes the distortion in the lenses into account, is also presented and evaluated by real experiments. Standard deviations of small deformations as low as 1% of the pixel size for in-plane deformations and 6% of the pixel size for the out-of-plane component are reported. Using the calibration algorithm described, the main source of errors is random errors originating from the correlation algorithm.  相似文献

Different approaches are discussed applied to reconstruction of local flow parameters using line-of-sight laser probing. The first one is based on single projection measurement and detailed numerical simulation of flow pattern. The second one is based on multi-projectional line-of-sight measurement and reconstructing local flow parameters by solving inverse integral transforms. Holographic interferometry (HI) and speckle photography (SP) are used for laser probing of complex 3D media under study. Computer-assisted tomography (CAT) approach based on Radon integral transform is described and examples of reconstructed flowfields are given including compressible flows with shock waves. Statistical information about flow studied is extracted as well, and maps of local statistical turbulence parameters are quantitatively determined by using obtained SP-data and a new Erbeck–Merzkirch integral transform.  相似文献

为了研究高斯光束在湍流等离子体鞘套中的传输特性,根据广义惠更斯-菲涅耳原理,采用基于快速傅里叶变换的功率谱反演法,用多随机相位屏来模拟湍流带来的影响.根据超声速飞行器绕流等离子体流场厚度在厘米级别的特点,光束在两个相位屏之间的传输过程中采用菲涅耳衍射积分的两次快速傅里叶变换算法(double fast Fourier transform algorithm),利用多随机相位屏模拟等离子体鞘套湍流对光束传输产生的影响,解决了多随机相位屏模拟湍流研究中的超短距离传输问题.当飞行高度为45 km,飞行速度为18马赫时,通过对超声速飞行器绕流等离子体流场的统计分析,发现在此飞行条件下折射率起伏方差的强度范围10~(–11)—10~(–14).对高斯光束在湍流等离子体流场中的传输特性进行了数值仿真.结果表明:在等离子体鞘套湍流中折射率起伏强度、波长、传输距离等都是影响高斯光束质量的重要因素.折射率方差越大,传输距离越长,光斑弥散越严重,光强起伏越大,光强减弱也越明显.光束的波长越长,高斯光束抑制湍流的能力越强,光斑弥散程度越小,光强起伏也越小.  相似文献

A fully developed compressible turbulent flow in a channel with a lower wavy wall and a upper plane wall is studied using large eddy simulation. We mainly attempt to deal with the curvature effect on compressible turbulent flow over the wavy wall. Some typical quantities including the mean turbulence statistics, dilatation and baroclinic terms in the enstrophy equation, turbulent kinetic energy budgets and the near-wall turbulent structures are analysed. The results obtained in this study provide physical insight into the understanding of the effects of curvature and compressibility on wall-bounded compressible turbulent flow.  相似文献

Three flow measurement techniques make use of fast digital correlators. The most widely spread is photon correlation velocimetry using crossed laser beams, and detecting Doppler shifted light scattered by small particles in the flow. Depending on the processing of the photon correlation output, this technique yields mean velocity, turbulence level, and even the detailed probability distribution of one velocity component. An improved data processing scheme is demonstrated on laminar vortex flow in a curved channel. In the second method, rate correlation based upon threshold crossings of a high pass filtered laser Doppler signal can be used to obtain velocity correlation functions. The most powerful set-up developed in our laboratory uses a phase locked loop type tracker and a multibit correlator to analyze time-dependent Taylor vortex flow. With two optical systems and trackers, cross-correlation functions reveal phase relations between different vortices. The last method makes use of refractive index fluctuations (eg in two phase flows) instead of scattering particles. Interferometry with bidirectional counting, and digital correlation and probability analysis, constitutes a new quantitative technique related to classical Schlieren methods. Measurements on a mixing flow of heated and cold air contribute new ideas to the theory of turbulent random phase screens.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a model of a glow discharge in a turbulent flow. The electron density is calculated using a conservation equation. We assume that the gas glow acts on the electron density and the Shwartz model is used to model the change of diffusivity due to turbulence. In order to show the effects of the turbulence on the electron density, we use a 1D model of a stable electric discharge in to a turbulent flow. The model shows that the increase in turbulent diffusivity at high Reynolds numbers tends to flatten the electron density profiles. Theoretical results are in good agreement with the reported measures. Next, the model was applied to a 2D argon axisymmetric turbulent compressible steady flow. This study shows that when plasma oscillations and turbulence fluctuations of the neutral gas are correlated the temperature profile flattens. Finally, we study electronic distribution into a 3D plasma column in a dissymmetrical flow.  相似文献

This paper reviews the development of full-field laser metrology from its inception as a dynamic extension of scattered light speckle photography, a voherent optical technique originally developed to make full-field measurements of quasi-static displacements in transparent solids, to its present applications in fluid dynamic studies. The full-field laser velocimetry technique, including both double exposure and multiple exposure recording methods, is discussed in detail, and comparison is made of their advantages and disadvantages in applications to steady and unsteady flows. Both the coherent light speckle and the particle image modes of operation are defined and evaluated. Computer aided ‘point-wise’ (Young's fringe) and ‘global’ (Fourier filtering) methods of optically analyzing the specklegrams are also discussed. Finally, experiments in which full-field laser velocimetry has been applied to a study of convective flow in a liquid are described, thus illustrating the potential of this new, non-onvasive optical technique.  相似文献

Laser speckle photography measures projected beam deflection of a phase object. The beam deflection measured at the solid surface will directly determine the wall-temperature gradient. Thus, the laser-speckle photography allows the evaluation of the convection-heat-transfer coefficients without the need to correct for conduction and radiation heat losses, which otherwise would be necessary. Selected results and brief discussions are presented for several natural convection-heat-transfer problems. Second, high-temperature applications of laser speckle photography shows potential as a nonintrusive means of measuring flame temperature. A fairly good agreement is shown in comparison of the laser speckle data with intrusive thermocouple data. Suggestive discussions are made to further improve the accuracy and sensitivity of the laser speckle photography technique in high-temperature applications. Finally, tomographic reconstruction of laser speckle photography data is discussed using both actual test fields and computer-synthesized phantom fields. The conventional algebraic reconstruction technique (ART) has been modified to apply for the laser speckle tomography. The efficacy of ART is examined particularly under a limited number of projections.  相似文献

利用基于纳米粒子的平面激光散射技术获取超声速(Ma=3.0)湍流边界层的密度分布,采用光线追迹方法计算其对应的光程差分布,并结合边界层气动光学相似律验证实验结果的可靠性.着重研究了光线入射角度对超声速湍流边界层气动光学效应的影响,并对其内在机理进行了分析.研究表明,气动光学效应对光线入射角度的依赖性源于光线在流场中的传输路径,传输路径的不同导致了光线在流场中的传输距离以及对应密度脉动互相关结果的差异.光线倾斜入射导致其在流场中传输距离增长,进而气动光学效应出现恶化.光线入射方向与壁面垂直方向之间的夹角越大,气动光学效应越显著,而且不同时刻的差异性增加,气动光学效应校正的难度增加.超声速湍流边界层中大量具有特定方向的涡结构导致了湍流边界层气动光学效应的各向异性.当光线倾斜向下游入射时,光线传播方向与流场中的涡结构具有较好的一致性,体现为此方向上密度脉动互相关系数较大,故气动光学效应比较严重.而当光线倾斜向上游入射时,相关系数较小,故气动光学效应较弱.  相似文献

应用Gao-Yong可压缩湍流模式,数值模拟RAE2822二维翼型在两种不同来流情况下的跨音速粘性绕流问题.湍流模式的对流项用ROE格式离散,扩散项用中心差分格式离散,空间离散后的控制方程用多步Runge-Kutta显式时间推进格式求解.计算结果预测了翼型表面的压力系数的分布、平均速度剖面、激波的位置、马赫数等值线等情况.同时,对翼型表面激波与边界层相互干扰以及转捩问题进行分析计算,结果表明,Gao-Yong可压缩湍流模式结合适当的数值方法能够成功地模拟翼型跨音速粘性流动.最后,基于Gao-Yong可压缩湍流模式各项异性湍流粘性的机理,初步提出一种预测转捩起始位置的方法.  相似文献

高马赫数可压缩湍流的运动是一个多尺度多过程的物理现象。采用了多过程分解的方法,将可压缩湍流分解为剪切和胀压过程,分析其统计行为和动力学行为。发展了一种新的紧致差分和WENO格式相结合的混合型数值格式,准确模拟了可压缩湍流场;研究了其多尺度多过程行为和对粒子的输运影响;研究了激波结构对湍流场的影响;在高雷诺数可压缩湍流中,证明存在惯性区,其中流运动和压力做功引起的动能流通量都是常数;证明可压缩湍流中存在从大尺度到小尺度的动能级串过程;证明动能流通量的剪切部分和胀压部分在惯性区都为常数;分析亚格子应力项和亚格子质量流动项对动能级串的影响。  相似文献
