In this article, we present a novel approach to throughput enhancement in miniaturized microfluidic microscopy systems. Using the presented approach, we demonstrate an inexpensive yet high-throughput analytical instrument. Using the high-throughput analytical instrument, we have been able to achieve about 125,880 cells per minute (more than one hundred and twenty five thousand cells per minute), even while employing cost-effective low frame rate cameras (120 fps). The throughput achieved here is a notable progression in the field of diagnostics as it enables rapid quantitative testing and analysis. We demonstrate the applicability of the instrument to point-of-care diagnostics, by performing blood cell counting. We report a comparative analysis between the counts (in cells per μl) obtained from our instrument, with that of a commercially available hematology analyzer. 相似文献

The approach to validation of a computer program for an analytical instrument as a component of the analytical method (using
this instrument with the program) is discussed. This approach was used for validating a new program for atomic absorption
analysis. The validation plan derived from this approach was based on minimising the influence of all steps of the analytical
procedure on the analytical results obtained by the method. In this way significant changes in the results may be caused only
by replacement of the previous program by the new one. The positive validation conclusion was based on the comparison of the
results of the analysis of suitable reference materials obtained with the new program and with its precursor in the same conditions,
and also on comparison of their deviations from the accepted reference values for these materials, with the corresponding
uncertainties.

This report describes the evaluation of a multiplexed, 96-capillary array instrument for analytical performance with a view to implementation for routine, high-throughput use. The need for higher throughput analytical capability for today’s busy pharmaceutical laboratory continues to rise. The use of multiplexed capillary electrophoresis is discussed, and the 96 multiplexed capillary array instrument with UV absorbance detection was used to perform high throughput pharmaceutical analysis. Pharmaceutical product assay, pK
a and log P determinations were achieved. Reproducibility of relative migration time and relative peak area between capillaries was found to be acceptable. The multiplexed instrument offered equivalent performance for tablet assay to a conventional CE instrument. Using the multiplexed CE, pK
a values approaching those of the literature values were obtained for a range of drugs. A microemulsion electrokinetic chromatography (MEEKC) method was successfully used without resulting in excessive operating current.
